The hotel was not as advertised. My room was outdated and had mold in the bathroom and in the main room. I was initially told that I would get a new room on a Sunday but I was scheduled to leave on a Monday. I had issues with electricity in my room the lights went out then started flashing on and off. My friend who travelled with me found mold and ants everywhere in her room too. My friend and I checked out of the hotel the next day. We found a beautiful condo near the beach with better quality than the hotel. I would recommend Expedia to remove this property from the listing or require the property to update accurate information and pictures on the hotel and not to book any rooms that visibly have mold in the rooms because that can lead to illness for guest. I barely slept the one night I stayed and I was happy to leave the hotel the next day. I will leave a positive review for the property owner because he apologized for my issues and promised to refund me for the three nights I didn’t stay and he kept his promise by refunding me for the three nights. Thank you for the refund.

My room was, perhaps, the worst on the property. Very cramped and with no privacy. The pool was literally 4 steps from the room entrance. Unlike most of the other rooms it had no patio or terrace, as advertised. I kept asking for a change of room but after being sitting along for two days, I had to get out, which was very difficult to manage as it required Expedia to intervene on my behalf. I cannot recommend this property.
, nor do I'd I appreciate the dismissive attitude of the manager. There are better, quiter properties right next door. I recommend The New Garden. It has many more rooms to choose from and the management is great, as is the free breakfast! At Casa Valera, juice isn't included with the

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Casa Valeria while in Sosua. Staff was very friendly and always greeted me. The room was done up daily and always looked fresh. The towels inside are apparently only for showering, however when she saw the need, the manager quickly brought me 2 beach towels to use for the pool and the beach. There was an issue for a couple of days with the key card not being able to open the door, but once the manager realized I was having issues, she immediately got a maintenance person on it. They ended up replacing the entire mechanism, and it worked great after that. The stay includes breakfast at the attached restaurant, but it's not the typical short list of options. It's whatever you want on the menu, including modifications to the menu item. The portions there are very generous and didn't leave you wanting more. Other meals satisfied as well.

The hotel is basically in the core, so very short walking distance to not only the beaches, but also to restaurants and bars in the area.

The only bad thing I experienced was the noise from the street, it never stops and it's loud, especially in the restaurant, however in my room I could hardly hear it (Main floor courtyard)

Overall was a great experience and expect I will be going back at some point in time.

The hotel did not look as nice as the photos, those are clearly older photos when the hotel was in better condition. I had many black ants in my bathroom, crawling on the walls and sink, dead ants on the bath rug. There was also some mold on the bathroom ceiling over the shower.

The staff make the place absolutely perfect. I rented a ATV and parked it on the sidewalk as instructed. I was told to move it at 11 pm. I feel asleep. The security guard there manually moved it across the street so that it wouldn’t get ticketed or towed. You can’t find this service anywhere in the the Dominican Republic

I had an excellent stay at Casa Valeria Boutique Hotel. The hotel has a charming, relaxed vibe and is very well maintained. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to unwind after being out during the day. The staff really stood out—friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The location is convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, yet still feels private and peaceful. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable stay, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area.

This was my first experience with a hotel in DR outside of the all inclusive and I will say that overall it was nice. The staff was super kind and helpful, the breakfast that’s included with your stay, was awesome, with plenty of variety. Loved that the beach was within walking distance and how safe the area felt with the police presence all around. My only complaint would be that the bed was not comfortable at all. Other than that, I would totally recommend Casa Valeria.

Super friendly staff. The room was cute and clean with large bathroom. Not 5 stars but good enough for the 1 night when our flight was cancelled. Within walking distance to many local restaurants and bars. About 15 minutes (more or less depending on traffic) from the airport.

We had a great stay, the breakfast was awesome, consistent and delicious.
Our room met expectations and went beyond.
Yani was a treat to deal with. Her smile and positive attitude was infectious.
I can’t say enough about the laundry service. It was a first for us and for the price, well worth it.
Frank and his family’s presence made you feel the connection between him and his staff. All staff treated us with the utmost respect and answered any questions we had. Kudos to the countless staff that made us feel special.
The hotel also offers peace and quiet at night when the streets are often quite loud.
The close walk to the beaches and nightlife were also an added perk.
Well done Casa Valeria!

A good, clean hotel with good service and a nice complimentary breakfast. Relatively quiet and a 5-minute walk to the beach. If you don't like the menu at the hotel's restaurant, you are about a 2-5-minute walk from a bunch of other restaurants and bars.

Like other places I've stayed in the DR, the water pressure isn't as strong as you might be used to in North America, but that's nitpicking. Would definitely recommend.

Overall there were pros and cons to staying at this property. I cone to DR for the Dominican breakfast and tgey ran out of plantains. The pool was not kept up and dirty. The rooms bathrooms can use a makeover. Outside of that, the location is ideal, and super close to 2 beaches. The staff was very helpful but doubt I would stay here again.

I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. Granted we only stood one night to be closer to the airport for our flight the next day. We were running late to check in and the staff reached out to make sure everything was ok. Once we got there they quickly checked us in, walked us to our room, and took our order for room service even when the restaurant was about to close in 20 mins. The food was amazing, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. I honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy it even more. We will definitely be coming back to stay longer!

The housekeepers were nice. The bartenders were nice. The food servers were nice. The wifi was excellent. The food was great and they delivered it to your room if you didn't want to come to the dining room. They had a microwave and drinking water in the common area. Everything was great. Stayed for eighteen nights. Was way better than expected.

I’ve been staying at this place for two years and I met the owner but surprisingly enough the guy switches my room to accommodate his visiting friends to a lesser smeller room. I get it, it’s ya friends you wanna look out for them but you’re so obvious about it. This people actually came into the lobby after I was told I needed to switch rooms. No reason given but it was apparent. I probably would have didn’t too but it still was bad for me, luckily for me I always stay at a much nicer place in caberte to sleep. That will be my last time staying there.

During the cleaning they took our personal tooth brush an cream...at the next day no one was available to replace it...i had to wait until somebody showed up in order to brush my tooth even though it was a 24/7 service...that's why i dis an early check out
