The entrie from Vanessa, Melissa and Angela; in addition to the staff Francisco and Noel alsoJose were genuinely warm hostility that was so outstanding with just the environment..It make the stay tranquility at the supreme atmosphere.. The room was really comfortable and spacious and the grounds are lovely. It's a short walk to main business and swimming area of Caberete, but a stretch of the beach with some reefs is right out in front of the hotel.

Excellent place to stay in Cabarete. We appreciated the quietness while being surrounded by plenty of tropical plants and flowers. Does not have all the bells and whistles but I can honestly say, my wife and I did not need it. Accommodations were more than adequate. No dining available but you can walk to plenty of restaurants and bars on the beach. El Magnifico was a hidden gem because after a day on the beach/town, you felt like you was coming back to your private haven.

This is my third time staying and I will choose it everytime. It is so beautiful and close to everything I need during my trips. The biggest issue I've had is the water pressure being weird, but it wasn't really an issue at all. There was running water, so we were happy. The staff is all so nice as well!

I have family in Cabarete and so have known of the hotel for many years, whilst staying with them. This time I decided to give it a whirl. Best spot on the beach, quiet, private, lovely views of the ocean as close as the beach one can be! Handy for the supermarket too. Easy to wander to Velero for brekkie. Amazing stay! We stayed for 6 nights. 2 couples in the penthouse. Plenty of room and was able to cook when we wanted to. Very close to the grocery store and a 5-7 minute walk to all the nightlife. Far enough away to not worry about noise but close enough to easily walk. Highly recommend!

The grounds are beautiful and it’s right on the beach. The 2 bedroom penthouse was very spacious and clean but dated appliances and furniture. The door would not unlock with the key so we had to keep one of our sliding doors open which was not safe. The beds were literally like sleeping on a wooden platform; they were so uncomfortable. The chairs in the living space were equally uncomfortable. There was no hot water, but that isn’t always needed in the DR. If you drive a car there is basically no parking. For those just needing a place to crash at night and don’t need much during the day (although daytime is the only time anyone at the desk works, all leave by 4) this is a good choice. Just don’t expect comfort or service 24 hours.

Beautiful stonework walls and lots of trees and flora. The ocean is just outside your door . The hotel is unlike your standard hotel it has nooks and crannies and the property layout is not forced . When I am in Cabarete, El Magnifico is where I will stay.

One of the most scenic hotels I’ve stayed in. Our beach view room was GREAT for seeing & hearing the crashing waves. The property is constantly being manicured by staff (literally picking up large leaves by hand daily)! Beautiful plants all over the property. I did have a slight issue with a smoke detector that kept chirping (low battery warning) that took two days to replace. But overall, VERY good place to stay if you’re looking for peace & quiet (NOT a “party” place)!

If you’re thinking about staying here, please do. The hotel in reality is STUNNING. The pictures don’t do the justice. The gardens are magical, the vibe is so tropical, ocean is seconds away… the pools are always clean, daily cleaning service, the staff are amazing, always helpful and positive. It’s very SAFE which was one of our concerns before we arrived. There’s a supermarket 2 min away so if you need anything it’s right there. Close to everything. Would definitely recommend, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The only things I’d take into consideration is the WiFi. It’s been on and off so it’s worth spending the extra money for cellular data. Thank you so much for making our vacation such an amazing experience.

The name really does say it all. We were lucky to get upgraded to the ocean front penthouse suite, with a total of three balconies, one being on the rooftop. There was so much space and this ocean view was probably the best on the property. Very private and safe with security front and back. Excellent value and terrific views. Close to a grocery store and many restaurants nearby on the beach and on the main street. So good we extended our stay for three extra days. If available grab this place!

The grounds were gorgeous and loved having both a cold and hot tub. The building and room designs are unique. We had some issues with a lot of water coming in through our front door (causing us to use up our beach towels) and we had a patio to use but couldn't because the way the building was designed set us up for crazy wind outside our door to where the furniture all has to be tied down. The biggest downfall was the wifi connection as I work remotely and only got one bar unless I went to reception. In addition, we knew there wasn't a restaurant when we booked but it would have made a huge difference in our stay if it did. If you love VERY quiet and don't need wifi and eat out a lot, this place is perfect. Clean and beautiful. But if you want a more active feel and energy or work remotely, you may want a different option. Overall, a 7 out of 10.

We like to walk and you can walk to the main strip in 5 to 10 minutes on the main road. You can walk to a beach directly on the property. I would say we were 500 ft from a beach area and could see the ocean from our 2nd-floor porch, which wrapped around the whole apartment. The site is very clean and modern. 10-minute walk to Kite Beach and Restaurants on the water. Pool and hot tub on site. Very nice facilities. We found the bed to be very comfortable too.

Such a beautiful place to stay! The grounds are lovely and you'll find something new every time you explore. Our favorite spot was the \"cold\" jacuzzi area that overlooked the beach. The water there was the perfect temp in the afternoon. There is also a hot tub in another location as well. The beach was lovely. The water in front of the hotel was too rough for swimming but there were fun tidal pools to explore, and it was a five minute walk along the beach to swimmable waters in Cabarete Bay where you could rent a beach chair/umbrella and swim. Lots of great restaurant options in easy walking distance, as well as a supermarket for groceries. Hotel staff was excellent. Great upkeep of grounds and rooms. The only small negative for us was that the bed sheets were a little scratchy, but everything else far outweighed that. Also worth noting is that the view from our room overlooked an old cemetary, with the beach beyond that. I thought it was actually pretty cool and added to the charm, but some people might be a little weirded out by that! But not all the rooms would overlook the cemetary or are even near it, and if we hadn't been on an upper floor we would have never known the cemetary was there because it is small and walled in. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay and if we are ever in the area again we would absolutely stay there!
