Our VIP Room was comfortable and spacious! The swim up room was a special treat. Our housekeeping staff was wonderful. The Spa was relaxing and professional. Rosa and Andres were fantastic and very professional. The wait staff in the main dining area were attentive and helpful while the wait staff in the VIP dining were nice but could benefit from some additional training. Overall, our stay was pleasurable and a great escape!

This resort cost too much to be out of date first thing needs addressing is the hot water. I could not enjoy a decent shower to save my life the water at best is luke warm. They only gave 2 wash clothes, 2 towels, 2 hand towels no extra. The fridge was a joke it was 2 waters, 2 coors light beers, 1 coke and 1 sprite it does not get cold. They have no room service and I never saw anyone in the swim up that they said takes orders. The best thing about this resort is the ocean view but it lacks many things no usb ports at all.,we experienced at 2 restaurants the Italian and seafood don’t like to provide entrees unless u ask. The drinks for alcohol is mainly wine and beer with no alcohol better bring your own. They have no elevators on the property and children are all around with families. I came for my 40th birthday from the US and honestly I should’ve just stayed in the US and booked somewhere here :(

I stayed 3 nights at Select Casa Marina to celebrate my parents’ 40th anniversary and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. It was totally worth it. I wanted to surprise them with a decorated room, and Amal was incredibly kind from the start and truly went above and beyond to make it happen. The setup was beautiful with balloons, flowers, champagne, and even a thoughtful extra touch that made my mom cry happy tears. I’m really grateful for the care she put into it. If you’re celebrating something special, definitely ask for Amal. She helped turn a trip into a memory we’ll always cherish.

Food was great overall. I definitely didn’t go hungry. The Seascape a la carte restaurant and the international restaurant for Select guests were especially good, and even the buffet had plenty of tasty options. Select guests also get special seating at the buffet with beautiful ocean views, which was a nice touch.

The grounds were the perfect size for me. Not too small but not overwhelming either. I stayed on the Select side and recommend it since you get your own pool and more relaxed areas. The scenery is gorgeous with mountain views plus beach views that really stick with you.

Entertainment wise, I caught one nighttime show that was fun and high energy, and I also enjoyed the club.

Overall, I would definitely return. The staff were attentive and genuinely cared about the guests, which made the whole experience even better.

Most days I worked hard to get luke-warm water in the shower. Only 2 days out did I actually get warm water. One day I couldn't get warm water at all. Room had 2 robes but neither had a belt. There is shampoo/condition/bar of soap but no body lotion. Room fridge will contain a single Sprite, a single Coke, and 2 Coors Lights. That's it. There is an in room coffee maker. In room safe worked well. *No elevators* though I did see ramps for wheelchairs. Several power outages during the week which weren't a big deal as the backup generators came on pretty quick. Beaches: Select only beach is small but quieter than the regular areas. I wish there were more lounge chairs & more umbrellas so you must get up early to reserve. The regular beach for families is much larger but didn't have any umbrellas the day I was there. The 2 beaches are divided by a rock formation so you cannot really jog for exercise along them. Both beaches are clean. Water sports: huge shoutout to the Divemaster was great & really cares about keeping you safe & making sure you have a good dive experience. Food: yikes, its pretty bad at the buffets. My suggestion is to line up for the chef's stations & try to make it work. Desserts were good. There is a coffee bar with real espresso on the Select side with strange hours. Ate once at the reservation only Tex Mex place & it was just ok. Gym: ugh. 2 treads and only one sortof worked (a slow death mark & a sprint). Two bikes which I didn't even attempt.

Where to start… Oh the Food! It’s absolutely terrible! Breakfast was about the only meal edible cuz it’s Eggs! Hard to mess that up. Everything else from the overcooked Lobster and rubber Steak on NYE to the Mexican restaurant that has old bagged Guacamole are all barely equivalent to dog food! Nothing is fresh… I understand you have a lot of people to fees but jeez you could do better! Tasteless nasty mass garbage! We found a food delivery service i suggest using! Also a few decent places outside the property. Really bad paying what we did and have to leave for food! Next, zero service around the pools or on the beach for drinks or food! Employees at the bars and buffet were all great! Cannot fault them for Managements and Chefs very poor choices and skills on food! Rooms were nothing special and Hot water is limited. Internet was slow. I know some issues related to location and Island time! But absolutely NO excuse on how bad the food was! Resort it self was in a decent location and the beach was fine, but would never stay again!

Because we heavily relied on the reviews in choosing this \"resort\" I am taking the time to write a very detailed review of our stay this past week. My partner and I stayed for 7 nights and reserved an ocean view with a balcony. Upon arrival, every single restaurant and snack options were closed for 1.5 hours (which was awful considering we had not eaten due to traveling). When we checked in, we requested information on the amenities and the concierge said let m see if I can print one out for you. We were there for New Year's and requested information on activities for the festivities and were informed that there was \"a lot going on.\" Upon entry in our room, much to our dismay there was a triangular barrier covering our view of the ocean and to our horror, the balcony was about 3 feet wide and 5 feet long which essentially was no balcony at all. Our toilet seat could not stay up and so my partner and I were challenged in using the restroom as a female and as a male alike. Also, there was literally NO hot water. We requested a room change and were given a new room with an actual balcony on day 3 of our 8 day stay. The room was very humid and reeked of cigarette smoke (the smell has seeped into our bags and all of our belongings). As for the food, to say that the food was subpar is an understatement. My partner got horribly sick from the food by day 2 and from that day on we ate off premises and paid for our own food, except the breakfast which we had toast and eggs.

This hidden gem met all of our needs and expectations. We recommend the Select resort experience. Our Select room included a swim-up pool featuring direct access to the adult only swimming pool, bar, private beach and separate dining area. The entire staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive and hospitable. We recommend the daily buffet for your meals. The food is delicious, abundant and offers a wide variety. The resort is located in Sosúa. It’s close to the airport (POP), and accessible to all the local attractions within a short drive to Puerto Plata. For the adult only experience, the Select option is the best way to enjoy this resort. The other dining options and entertainment activities were not enjoyable. Do your research. For a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable experience, Casa Marina Select is worth the trip.

Room was cleaned daily. Staff is friendly more on the adult side, found a few not so friendly people in the Italian and Mexican restaurant. The food is okay - don’t expect top cuisine, definitely better in the restaurants than the buffet. The adult side is way more quieter than the other side. The views are very nice here with a nice little beach. Overall - if you want value, this is it. If you want upscale- not here. Needs some upgrades including resurfacing all swimming pools.

Great staff service, specially bar staff by the pool (Arickson and Sandy), good pools and beach.
Regular to mediocre food, buffet was ok but a la carte Mexican restaurant was awful, consider to have a real Mexican menu and cook it properly.
Reception staff, we are conflicted, front desk lady was really professional, however, guy at the front desk kept trying to be funny and was being kind of mean.
We were bored by the 2nd night, shows on the theater were fun but in a cringe way. Theater was also really hot. Not too much entertainment and no information was given about itinerary and other activities.
Premium drinks were good, I could say best drinks of any all inclusive I have been.
Disappointed for the reservation system, on the sheet they gave us, it says that reservations has to be made before 3:00pm to get one and we went before noon to get a reservation on the International Restaurant and was supposedly full.
Hotel was clean and good for pics.
To be really honest, experience was good not great. Not sure if we would like to come back.

The sink stopped draining at one point and our shower stopped working properly the day before we left.
The food was a little diasspointing, the salmon and breakfast buffet were the only things enjoyable.
The massage people are INSANELY pushy. If I want a massage I will go to the spa and make an appointment. I do not need to be asked 30+ times per day.
The grounds and amenities were spectacular. The cleaning staff was amazing.

We had a great stay here. We stayed 1 night, and were impressed with the service as well as the cleanliness and calmness of the room. It's definitely worth upgrading to the select side. You have extra pools that are quiet, a separate area in the buffet restaurant to eat, as well as the use of a coffee shop. The food was decent. We stayed in September and only 1 a la carte restaurant (the Mexican) was open but it was very good. The beach is beautiful and the sea is calm, you don't feel like you're in the middle of sosua. Wifi in every area also. We didn't know that you have to check out of your room at 12noon but you actually have until 3pm to use the facilities. We would definitely come back.

Property location is perfect due to the beach, staff extremely nice in every area but specially the Select adult hotel check in ( Ricardo, Francis y Amal) also the Select adult Bar staff. They made the difference and more enjoyable stay. Select adult area just need for sign showing it’s just for adult and límit the access of the non adult or non select area guest. Also entertainment needs improvement for the adult only area.

The adults area was really good and quaint. The resort and rooms need some updating The food at the Mexican restaurant was not good, but I should have known that being that these people are not Mexican. There wasn’t an ATM inside the resort property, so we had to step outside of the resort to find an ATM. Aside from that, the resort was fairly clean, the staff was fabulous, dinner at Hermann’s was outstanding. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves and we would go back, knowing what to expect!

First, the front desk failed to inform me of important details, such as the dress code for the buffet — which is crucial at an all-inclusive resort. When I showed up in a sleeveless shirt, I was refused service, even though I had already paid for an all-inclusive stay.

The outlet in my room didn’t work, and despite reporting it, no one ever came to fix it. On top of that, I made a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants, and Erika at the front desk confirmed it for 8:30 PM. However, at 8:10 PM, she called to tell me the reservation wasn’t actually made — and by then, I had no other dining options available.

Overall, I paid for a service that was not delivered. Poor communication, lack of basic hospitality, and being denied access to food I paid for made this a very frustrating and disappointing stay. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff work very hard to ensure your comfort, very pleasant ,friendly and helpful, felt like family.
Lots of amazing food and restaurants to choose, from fine dining to buffet.
Rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily.
Everything is so clean and well maintained .
Quiet and serene, beautiful private beach.
We will definitely return to this resort...

All inclusive, I paid full price and I couldn’t bring a guess in after the fact. To think all inclusive by myself lolol. I will be dealing with this issue promise.
