The condo, the staff, cleanliness, beach area all excellent. There could be more kitchen supplies such as more pots and pans, cookie/pizza sheets, smaller bowls, etc. We also found the small propane stove top challenging for cooking as controlling the heat was difficult. More comfortable chairs such as relaxing lounge chairs on the patio would be beneficial. Overall a nice condo and with the above improvements it would be a 10 out of 10.

The room was perfect. We got the one bedroom king. Ocean view. Staff so friendly. I didn't use the pool because the water had to be warmer for me. They helped with taxi and information. We enjoyed that it was a big stretch of beach to walk and get to know what was at cabarete Beach.

I come to Cabarete several times a year and when the private residence I usually stay at is unavailable, Ultravioleta is always my backup. I’ve stayed here five times and the accommodations are incredibly spacious, well maintained and it’s close to downtown cabarete. While it may be nice for them to heat the pool in the winter, I love this place and plan to be here many more times in the future.

The place constantly has new office employees who are polite but uninformed. Also, the upkeep of the facility is not what it used to be. Moving forward, going through expedia cost even more, making it less of a value.

We fell in love with our 1 bedroom apartment. It was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The staff was so friendly, helpful and kind. We only got a couple of the staff’s names but one was Wairy in the office and she answered all of our questions and helped us rebook the same apartment for March. The young fella who checked us in was helpful and so nice. He was always smiling. We had difficulty with the safe and the tv. He came back to our room immediately to try to remedy the problem. Hopefully they did get the safe fixed for the next guests. Calvin was one of the security team staff and he was awesome. They entire staff went out of their way to acknowledge you. I was expecting more lounge chairs on the beach though. There’s maybe 9 or 10. It does say private beach but there were people from neighbouring apartment/condo buildings using them which I found odd. I would have been upset if there weren’t any free to use because of that but we didn’t run into that this trip but I could see it happening. We are not new to staying in Cabarete but this was our favourite stay so far. So much that we are returning in 2 months. We love that we can walk the beach to our fav little beach spots and there are 2 grocery stores within a 10 minute walk. The new Janet’s plus is very nice and closer than the original Janet’s. We look forward to our return trip and are sure it won’t be our last at Ultravioleta.

The hotel was nice and well maintained. The grounds crew worked on the property daily to ensure a nice appearance. The staff were all very friendly.
I felt the price was not worth it though. It was an expensive hotel to stay in, the bar with food and drinks were overpriced. Expedia marked this hotel as reserve now pay later with no deposit required and free cancelation up to several days prior to stay. About two months prior to my stay, I got a Whatsapp message directly from the hotel requiring 50% for a deposit and that should I cancel, I would only get 50% of that refunded back. When I questioned it and even contacted an Expedia representative, the Expedia rep contacted the hotel and later informed me that I had to pay the deposit. I was very upset with Expedia because they falsely advertised the listing and did not support the agreement I signed onto. I refused to pay the deposit, which later the hotel receptionist allowed my reservation to commence without a deposit.
The place is very beautiful. We had a 3 bedroom unit with private pool. The last night of our stay, we saw a small white mouse scurrying around inside of our unit that caused several in our party to be unsettled for the remainder of our stay.

Bathrooms had almost no place to hang towels, some closets had no bar, the AC did not work in the children’s room (AC was great everywhere else) and the elevator to the room was cool until you realized there’s no way to “lock it”. We had a code but so did all the staff. Just some food for thought for the owners. Maybe a private code and staff has access to the front door which had a lock.

The property was overall great. Service was outstanding. The kitchen extractor in my apartment didn’t work. That was the only problem. Another issue, they show a very nice gym as available on the property for use by guests. However, when you ask the staff to use the gym, they say it is for the owners only. Why are they posting pictures of the gym if one cannot use it?? False advertising- not good. Other than that, it was a great experience.

This is our second time staying here. Both times there was construction going on next door however, it’s not too bad and Is expected to end soon, it’s negligible for how great the property is. After staying at other places around the area, this is by far our favorite and will continue to stay here every time we come back. All the staff is friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and kept up and feels very safe (security throughout the property). They will even help you launch and land your kite on the beach.

Very clean and staff is very nice and welcoming. We love how quiet and safe area was and the pool was nice to have seen beach waves are very strong. There was construction but was never issue for us as noise at this point of construction was minimal. Frankly we forgot construction was happening right next door. Areas with opportunities for improvement are the restaurant food and the portions were very small for the price. The location and views are beautiful in restaurant. Also, better communication between front desk and cleaning staff. We found cleaning staff in room before we even return the room keys when coming back from breakfast and well before check out time. They were very apologetic. All in all we definitely recommend and would come back!

Staff were great here. Room very nice. BUT 7 days a week starting at 7:30 am going till after 5 was a large construction site right next door. There was absolutely no peace and quiet from the incessant construction noise which I am sure will be going for another year. One other thing …water in front of this resort is extremely wavy and not good for anyone unless they are a strong swimmer.

Ultravioleta is an amazing place to stay. Perfect spot on the beach for kiting, friendly staff, incredible and clean rooms. Only complaint was the construction next to the property...was noisy most days and very visible. Not UV's fault but it would have been nice to be made aware prior to booking, as it lessened the experience a bit.

Most evenings we walked about 20 minutes down the beach to the area where most of the restaurants are for dinner and drinks. We usually took a taxi back to Ultravioleta after dinner. Laundry can be sent out on site which is convenient. The condo had all linens and a fully equipped kitchen.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. However. The construction next door goes from 7:00 a.m. till almost 7:00 p.m. 6 days a week and then from 8:00 a.m. till at least noon on sundays. When I say construction, I'm talking about large construction equipment, front end loaders constantly beeping, jackhammers etc. We were told they were not supposed to work on Saturdays or Sundays and yet they worked till almost 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. We couldn't even hear ourselves talk because the noise from the construction less than 100 ft away was extremely loud. I'm talking the construction of a concrete building so that gives you an idea of how much noise was involved. The hotel is very nice and I would absolutely stay there again once the building next door has been completed. Until that point in time, stay somewhere else. Lastly, I asked for information regarding purchases of units and have yet to receive anything 5 days after we returned home. Including, had we known the construction noise would be so loud we would not have stayed here. I requested some form of compensation such as a discount next time I come but again, have not or anything.

Last winter this hotel was in the middle of a field, but now it is next to a massive construction site, where a big new resort is being built. They never informed us, never offered any apology or accommodation when we arrived. One half of our “waterfront view” was the beach, the other half a multistory cement structure, with lots of workers who got a nice view into our suite.
The hotel felt cold, with essentially bare walls in all rooms except for the living room. Very stingy too. We paid over $4k for a week, but there were no supplies in the kitchen, not even napkins or paper towels or salt.
When heavy construction kicked in in the morning our building began to shake, and the first time that happened my wife grabbed our documents and got ready to run out – she thought it was an earthquake. Just wait until they start digging a pool next door…

The view is destroyed from most rooms - you're looking at (and listening to) loud, active construction (Nov 2023), and will look at a 4-story apartment in future. There are 2 buildings; building A is closer to the street; any \"ocean view\" is now almost entirely blocked. Building B is closer to ocean and is much better; B204 and B304 are stunning. Stayed in 2 bedroom penthouse for 8 days which was gorgeous from top to bottom, from the modern decor to spacious living arrangement, everything on that end was top notch. The ocean view wasn’t quite a full but you can see enough of it to satisfy that requirement. Con: Shower water wasn’t warm enough and made a loud piercing noise after period of use. Jacuzzi tub had stain at the bottom of it and the water was lukewarm. Other than that, it was overall positive. Hotel staff including security were very friendly and accommodating. And easy access to the beach was a lovely amenity. Made staying there worthwhile.Would definitely stay again.
