My friends and I had an amazing stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, check-in was quick and easy, and check-out was just as smooth. The rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout our stay.

The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the drinks were just as good. The staff was one of the best parts of our experience—they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The entertainment was so much fun, and there was always something going on, which made the atmosphere lively and exciting.

The beach was beautiful, but the waves can be very strong, so just keep that in mind if you plan on swimming. The pool would occasionally get a little dirty during the day from everyone using it, but nothing excessive, and it was still enjoyable.

Most importantly, we felt extremely safe the entire time we were there. We never once felt uncomfortable, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation. This resort was absolutely worth the price, and I would definitely stay here again. I’ve already started recommending it to my friends and family, and I can’t wait to come back!

I did not like the silverware looks extremely dirty. Property didn’t have enough towels in the rooms. The key to the door kept getting disconnected so you had to keep going to the front desk to get it connected, which is ridiculous. The food was repeated every day. There was the same breakfast lunch and dinner. I would not recommend this place to nobody.

Usually out of glasses, soda machines were broken for 2 weeks.1 closet with not enough drawers no dressers. long counter that was useless. Closet didn't have enough space for 2 people. I operatd out of a suit case for 2 weeks. same food just about every day & half of it was disgusting. They had hamburgers that were laying in water. Seems like alot of people were complaining! The 1st time we asked for an iron they brought one up that was all burned on the bottom, unacceptable!!. POOR MANAGEMENT!! I would never go there again!!

The air conditioning in the room was not working when we arrived. Although maintenance came and supposedly fixed it, it still did not work properly afterward.

Sucio, muy sucio y no hay elevadores. El staff solo Jesus el security y un supervisor fueron super amables y servibles. Las chicas del lobby ni te miraraban la cara en el check in. Desde que entras por el lobby hay mal olor. El airecondicionado nunca funciono, calor horrible. Las toallas ya no eran blancas, empercudidas igual que las sabanas. El buffet, solo el desayuno sirve, lo demas malo malo malo muy malo, moscas. La piscina sucia. El peor hotel que he visitado, por suerte solo fue una noche. Que mal, todo mal.

Lo unico que no me gusto ni me parecio justo y nunca me paso antes fue q en el cuarto en la nevera no dejaron nada ni un refresquito de 20 pesos. Para mi eso no estuvo bien para un todo incluido. Fui a un hotel de la misma categoria y diariamen me llenavan la nevera. Con cerveza precidente y refresh.
Ojala women eso en consideration ya que si alguien a media noche se pone mal no tener nada para tomar es muy malo. Esto me paso alguien se puso Mal y no tenia nada para dar.

The hotel is small and clean. The staff is very nice, but the food is terrible and the drinks. The food is very bad i had to purchase food outside and left the day before my check out. I been to several resorts expensive and cheap and knew i wouldnt get top of the notch but wow the food was terrible.. i would recommend offering fewer options with better quality. Not even the basic dominican food was good which is weird.

The room we had didn’t have a working phone or safe. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower wouldn’t drain properly.
The food was excellent and the entertainment stafff was excellent. They had activities all day and a nice show at night. They were lovely. The pool was right beside the beach. Such a beautiful view. Love the ocean.

Coffee machine was broken at multiple times so hard to get coffees,espresso and hot water for tea.
Staff at the bar not polite and it seems they needed more staff to serve crowd especially on the weekend. Lines at the bar too long and only bar serving the whole hotel. Very poor quality of drinks.

Staff had excuses for almost every request at the bar.

Staff was great and accommodating, especially in dining areas. Good location for getting around. Lots of activities available at resort but rough seas all the time. house keeping could improve as rooms were not ready using the standard expectations No wash clothes, lack of hand towels and sheets had stains. However this was promptly addressed when a complaint was made to guest services. Wifi didn't work in bedroom.

The Room Items( the Iron, Ironing Board Weren't in Good Working Condition. The TV. Didn't have. ESPN Available, and the Games that I was able to get. Was in the Spanish Language only. And after Paying for my Full All Inclusive package fir Myself and my Guest. I thought a Laundry service( for 10-12 items of Clothing would be a free Service!!! When I Checked Out, I was Charged $33 for 12 items !! Which wasn't Good.

The resort was okay. I am in my early 20’s with a 2yr old and there weren’t that many activities to do. As someone that goes to a lot of resorts and has been there many years back it was disappointing. There wasn't a variety of food and a small resort overall. I had to check out the next day and contacting them for a refund has been a headache.

You get what you paid for. We walked out of the one a la carte restaurant (Melt) as it was so bad - took one bite of the appetizer and left. The buffet didn’t change the entire week we were there. Food was not great, barely ate the whole trip & came home extremely hungry / was sick a lot from being hungry. The Mexican & Italian restaurant weren’t too bad (at least edible). The AC worked half the time, so everything in the room was damp & warm from humidity. There was only one bar on the property, so we were waiting in line for a drink on average from 5-10 minutes, sometimes more. The wifi worked half the time as well, kept cutting in and out, would work for 5 minutes then wouldn’t. Would connect to one of our devices, and not the other (not the end of the world, but as someone that works online/remote - this was frustrating) The staff were nice enough…. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back to this resort - probably worst all inclusive I’ve been too.

Overall, great experience. Staff were very nice. Resort rules can be quite restrictive, We were stopped multiple times due to not having either a bottom or being a little wet to go to the food area. We had sarongs and were pretty much dry. We are in the middle of the beach and pool for goodness sake! The beach and pool were the best parts!

Very friendly staff. Very kid friendly. Beachfront is INCREDIBLE! Kids loved playing in the waves and watching the kite boarders. The hotel’s friendly cats along the paths were also a hit with all the guests.
Room was clean but showing signs of wear and tear. Minor things like the phone didn’t work for 5 days, curtains barely moving.
Lots of great restaurants to try only 5-10 minute walk along the beach into Cabarete.

I have been to over 12 resorts in the Dominican Republic and this has been my least favorite. Limited restaurants and a mute point since when I arrived the few restaurants were all booked up. They did make a reservation for us prior to our arrival at the Mexican restaurant a bit late in the evening. The food at the buffet restaurant on our first night was not very good. Luckily the remainder of the days the food was much better. The juices were terrible, The theater where they have the shows is on a third floor. Issue with that is if you are handicapped or have issues going up stairs, good luck. Elevator kept breaking down and the third floor was not accessible for some. The shows don't have anyone presenting or closing them out. They say animation prior to the show but it's just a large tv screen which isn't all that great and they play some music or videos there. It's a small theater. There is only 1main bar where you can get different types of drinks along with the typical frozen coladas or daiquiris and at time long lines. The other bar across the pool area had limited drinks available. Also first day there in the afternoon they had no clean towels available for the pool and beach area. Had to wait till the next morning to get towels. The staff available were decent and friendly but they could use additional staffing that's why I rated that low. If you want to use the pool table , you better have $50.00 in cash for deposit or you aren't going to play.

We stayed for 5 nights and on our 3rd night the ceiling started dripping water in room 2631. Issue was brought to attention to staff and their solution was towels. Fixed the next day only for it to start dripping again until we left. The food is good. There is a lot of variety we just wish there was more Dominican typical foods offered. Entertainment and pool is great! Excursions offered were also great!! WiFi barely reached our room it was on and off. The nightclub could be fun but not many people attend. The staff’s attitude were not always too friendly, but based on the season and clientele attending the resort I could understand why. The staff is very hard working and I feel they are under appreciated. The bar staff are a 10/10 and friendly. The beach is pretty, clean but waves could be a bit rough. There are sellers on the beach so be ware of them they will ask you to buy. Overall good stay, I think the hotel could upgrade their rooms more it was a bit plain looking . They offer a nice private dinner on the beach for extra charge. Very great service! No issues with our AC and the hot water was good as long as you let it run 5 minutes before you shower.

The room was decent but clearly dated. The sliding balcony doors wouldn’t open, which was disappointing. On the first night, we were locked out for about an hour due to a broken key reader, which was frustrating after a long day. The buffet food was underwhelming, and the champagne tasted extremely weak. The drinks overall were just okay. The resort definitely could use some upgrades and maintenance. That said, the staff was friendly and accommodating, which was a bright spot in the experience.

The room was cleaned every day and the staff was very friendly with great service. Our room was on the 2nd floor above the bar and restaurants which was convenient, but could be loud at times. The people in the green shirts were relentless in wanting to sell you a membership. They weren't happy when I told them no. We were able to take a cab to spend the day at the Wyndham Heavens but liked the Viva Tangerine beach better.

First of all, the staff cleans your room in stages. They take all your towels, wash cloths and hand towels and shower rig while you are out for breakfast. Then they don’t come to clean or replace towels until late in the day. So you are without most of the day. Then when they do come to clean and replace towels, they only leave body towels. No wash cloths, hand towels or shower rug. We had a lot of rain during our Feb3-10 stay. Not a lot of sun or beach time. All that rain came thru the ceiling of our 3rd floor, top floor, ceiling. Dropped on the bed making it unusable. Luckily we had 2 queen beds. When reported we got no response. Another big rain two days later after reporting it the first time. Now, the floor and the beds are soaked. We visited guest services and she came to our room. Actually got water dropped in her head as she leaned over to feel the wet bed. She had maintenance come to our room. He came in, looked but nothing was done for the last 2 days of our stay. Food was average and reserved restaurants food was average to poor. Good thing: Viva Tangerine is very close to the beach and the biggest sunbathing beach along the shore. So many Peddlers on the beach disturbing our time to relax. I would not return or recommend Viva Tangerine.

Food was really horrible. Bland, presentation was below standard. Pool was small and water very cold! Very few beach chairs and you couldn’t go swimming because of heavy waves. No entertainment worth while. And if you are coming for unlimited alcohol get ready to get horrible drinks! My family and I basically had to go out to eat and drink every day of our stay. And don’t get me started with rooms. Like we were staying at a motel!! Beds were creaking and uncomfortable. A/C was not really cooling in our room and the kids a/c was leaking up a storm. Called maintenance 5 and really didn’t fix the problem. Honestly regretted booking here and wish I would’ve just booked a couple of rooms at one of the smaller local hotels. Do not book or stay here. Would bot recommend!

The initial room I was assigned was filthy and smelled strongly of sewage. After complaining, I was moved to another room, which was marginally better but still felt unclean.

Staff showed little interest in guest experience and seemed primarily focused on selling timeshares. Guest Services were rarely available, and when they were, they were dismissive and ineffective.

The food was consistently poor and inedible.

This property does not meet even the most basic standards of a hotel. It felt like a mass-processing operation rather than a place focused on hospitality.

I stayed at the resort for four days, and from the moment I arrived I felt uneasy and regretted my decision. Unlike other areas of the Dominican Republic I’ve visited, this location was nerve‑wracking and unsettling. My room, situated in the main corridor, was constantly noisy with staff playing loud music, shouting, and being disruptive at odd hours. On the first day, I discovered a bloodstain on the bed cover and mattress that housekeeping never replaced, shelves crawling with ants, and a floor marked by a large spill that was never cleaned. Housekeeping did not sweep or mop, and only half‑heartedly made the bed, leaving me to shake out my own sheets. The walls showed multiple layers of paint covering mold, and construction in the adjacent room caused cracks in my walls, with debris left in the shared walkway that was never cleaned. The food was consistently terrible—burnt French toast, scorched eggs, rubbery pancakes, undercooked meat, and pasta so salty it was inedible. Even staff complained about their own food quarters. Drinks were watered down and tasted odd. On the beach, guests were relentlessly harassed by merchants returning repeatedly, making it feel more like a crowded market than a relaxing escape. To make matters worse, restaurants and activities listed on the app were unknown to staff, leaving guests confused. If I could have returned home on the first day without losing money, I would have.

The rooms were very beat up, but staff was very understanding and proactive when there were issues with my AC. The food was ok at the buffet, I usually found some things I liked (pasta salads, pasta, fruit) but a lot of it was bland or a bit sweet where I would have expected savory. The food at the Mexican restaurant was downright BAD. The food at the Italian restaurant was better. The entertainment was interesting, they definitely try to appeal to a wide audience with lots of options. Overall had a ok/good time.

We got there @ night coz our flight was delayed. Room was very basic, which was fine, we can live with that. On our 2nd day, realized the toilet tank takes forever to fill up to flush, and our balcony door doesn't lock (we're on the ground floor farthest side of the pool from lobby). They took about an hour to fix the toilet, which led to the washroom being flooded & we had to wait to be cleaned, they never got to fixing the sliding door, figured it's fine since our valuables are inside the safe until they can fix it hopefully the following day since we had to get ready for dinner expedia has set up for us.

To be fair it was raining pretty hard, but imagine our surprise when we came back to a fully flooded room as soon as you enter the hallway, all the way to the washroom & the rest of the room.

I called to change rooms coz there's no way we're sleeping in that. Then someone came with a mop! That was insane! The concierge thinking a mop can fix about an inch deep of water. I have had to explain to the guy a mop will not fix the situation.

About an hour after the 1st call, we finally got a room---after a number of follow ups, it didn't seem like it was a concern, not sure if it's because other rooms in the same building were also flooded.

The resort has been around for a while & I'm sure this wasn't the first strong rain they've had. Even if the building we're in was the oldest there (seems like with the state of it) I feel like they should've had precautionary measures

The room was OK. The food was delicious. The staff was very hospitable but every time we would go into the dining area, we had difficulty getting a table that was already set for us to be able to eat

When we first arrived, there were no towels and the phone was not working so we went to the front desk and let them know, two hours later we still have not gotten our towels, so my husband went back and told them, he had to literally get Housekeeping to give us towels.
I might consider returning because the access to the beach was perfect and the pool was quite nice.
The evening shows were well choreographed and we really enjoyed them.
The drinks were watered down unless you got a good bartender

Check-in was fabulous, quick and friendly! The room was ok, a bit dated and limited amenities, like no coffee maker in the room. The food was ok, bread was excellent. We had 6 meals and only got offered beverages twice so the staff was a bit lacking. Others appeared to have better service. There is only one bar and smokers do not abide by the non smoking area, which is most of the bar so you are always inundated with cigarette and cigar smoke, which is unpleasant. A okay place for the price.
