Eclectic shower and toilet space!

The lounge and garden areas are lovely. Our bedroom was rather \"eclectic\" in that the loo and the shower seemed to have been fitted into spaces that must have originally been alcove/wardrobe spaces!
Everything was clean - and we were only there for one overnight stop so not a problem - but would not choose a standard double room for a longer stay (was the only room left available we made our last minute booking).
But staff friendly - good (paid) parking - which we are glad we took as public car park had a market the next day (Saturday) and we would have been towed away!

Pros: Quirky old building with lots of fun features. Lovely garden and bar area. Large comfortable bed, and very close to beach and restaurant areas.
Cons: no air con and the street noise is quite loud with the windows open. No kettle but they gave hot water in a tea pot when I asked for it.

I have stayed here before and was always quite satisfied, this time not so much.
I had to change rooms because the first one had the heating turned on and it was very hot in there. The Concierge first didn't believe me, then gave me a room that was definitely not worth what I had payed, rather cramped, dull colours and the light in the hall didn't work.
The hotel is otherwise quite nice. I hope it will be better again next time!

Great hotel, would stay again

Great hotel near the market and beach in Pornichet. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel was eclectic but very comfortable. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and garden. The breakfast buffet was good. Nearby restaurants were excellent.

Very pleasant stay!

This was my second stay at Hotel Sud Bretagne. The place is very well designed, and the staff is super friendly. I had asked for a quiet room in advance and got a very nice one with a pretty private patio. The parking space in the back and the lovely garden is another plus. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much.

Lovely hotel in need of modernisation

The hotel itself is lovely and so are the staff. The unfortunate thing is that in room 15 there is no air conditioning and it is sooooooo hot. Had to open window onto an extremely busy main road to let in air. Never slept and was bitten to death by mosquitos. I will never return.

Chambre pas d’un 4 étoiles

Literie très bien, aucun bruit malgré la route à côté, petit déjeuner très bien. Mais chambre mal agencée, minuscule point d’eau, sans porte, sans rideau, toilettes encastrés avec porte en persienne, aucune intimité. Je reviendrai mais en mentionnant de ne pas avoir cette chambre qui est d’ailleurs sur aucune photo sur le site !

Néanmoins nous avons séjourné un jour de forte chaleur et malheureusement les chambres ne sont pas équipées de climatisation. Au tarif de 170€ la nuit en chambre confort nous pouvions largement nous attendre à cela. Nous étions côté rue et avec les fenêtres ouvertes le bruit environnant s est bien fait entendre. Nuit mauvaise donc. Vraiment dommage pour un endroit comme cela.

L'emplacement est top, le lit confortable et la baignoire agréable. Le lieu est beau. De la poudre aux yeux.
Murs en cartons on entends tout ce qui se passe autour... Heureusement je voyageais seul, vive le manque d'intimité...
Le spa est sympa bien qu'on m'ait fait payer le prix fort alors qu'on s'était bien gardé de me dire que le sauna était hs. Donc 15euros pour 45mn de mini piscine, bon....

Dans l'ensemble correct, un peu cher pour ce que c'est mais bien placé et si on aime le perlimpinpin alors oui pourquoi pas.

Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas utiliser le spa après 17h sans réserver. Il serait bon de prévenir pour les gens qui travaillent! J'avais réservé cet hôtel pour le spa... Petit déjeuner pauvre et chambres très sonores, j'avais l'impression que le voisin prenait sa douche à côté de mon lit. Sinon, hôtel propre et personnel sympatique

Bel hôtel accueillant

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel décoré avec goût. L'accueil était agréable. La chambre jolie et confortable. Nous avons pu profiter du jacuzzi mais je sais qu'il y aussi un hammam. Il y a un jardin sympa avec des petits bassins.
Je recommande cet hôtel. Nous avons passé un bon moment.

Un petit effort d'accompagnement

Aucun support pour trouver un taxi sur notre départ... Lorsque nous avons demandé on nous a laconiquement montré les numéros de taxi en disant \"ca va pas etre facile\"...
Aucune aide, et meme pas d'indications sur les horaires de bus (ni pour la ligne régulière, ni d'information sur le bus du littoral...). Alors certes je sais me servir d'internet mais je n'ai jamais eu le cas que la reception me reponde de me debrouiller lorsque je demande d'appeler un taxi ....

En revanche comme notre chambre initiale sentait l'himidité dès qu'on fermait la fenetre, on nous a changé de chambre chaque jour (pas de dispos)...Du coup nous avons vu 4 chambres ... Elles sont toutes differentes, les salles de bains rénovées et certaines avec des volets roulants.
Le restaurant de l'hotel est conseillé pour le dîner.

Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires soucieux de leurs clients. Chambre très confortable. Nous avons toutefois été surpris par le spa et le parking payants ; le spa étant indiqué comme accessible avec la chambre. Au vu des travaux de la rue et de la difficulté à se garer, un petit prix de pkg aurait été bienvenue ... Il serait judicieux d'indiquer lors de la réservation que ces 2 services sont payants !
Petit + : ne pas changer les serviettes de toilettes sur 2j serait + écolo !
