Lovely Castle on the Sea

Such a lovely resort with perfect location. Rooms were comfortable and ample. Service excellent overall. The pool and beach are right out the back door. Will make spa reservations for our next trip as we were there too short this time. Plan ahead for restaurant reservations as they fill quickly.

Unrespectful Front Desk Staff

Extremely unfriendly front desk staff, we came for an anniversary and left a message prior to checking-in for multiple rooms, as we do use to two three times a year. Before and during covid, we always did receive a small gesture for special occasions. This year, we're told in an unrespectful tone to discuss directly with the F&B team. The restaurant staff then tells us nothing was notified by the reception and can't do anything. Lots of wait, back and forth for finally nothing and a lot of unpleasant moments. Whatever happened during your day, please do respect customers and talk pleasantly, professionally !

Good hotel. Great location overlooking the beach and impressive chateau design (although we stayed in the more standard hotel block behind). The room was good with superbly comfortable kingsize bed and pillow-menu. Plus a patio with partial sight of the ocean.

Lots of evident concern regarding C19.

Some 'Could do betters': a) the breakfast buffet had truly awful coffee machines - slow, out of order and poor coffee, b) no milk in the bedroom to complement the coffee - when I requested milk at the reception I received a Gallic shrug.

This a very nice hotel spa ideally located near the beach in Pornichet. We had a room with sea view and we enjoyed the spa facilities which are great with a fantastic steam room/hammam.
The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices (and even oysters) and the staff very professional. I shall mention Gilles from the reception who did everything to repair a faulty lamp in our room.
I will definitely come back and I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Relaxing 2 days stay in a magnificent environnemen

The hotel-spa has a great atmosphere, not like a chain but more like a family owned hotel. The spa is really amazing: warm sea water pool, jets, sauna and hammam. An outside heated pool as well with direct view on the ocean. The breakfast is amazing with plenty of choices, restaurant prepared. Overall, it was really relaxing and pleasant. I forgot a little vanity bag and received an alert by text message offering to ship it back to my address (at cost).

The staff is friendly and the rooms are functional but rather austere. Bathrooms are minuscule.
Very nice spa with big indoor swimming pool as well as smaller pool outside.
Most impressive is breakfast with an endless choice of oysters, champagne, all kinds of eggs, cheese, pastries, local delicacies, various breads as well as gluten free products, various milks and dairy products to accommodate all sorts of intolerances.

We loved our stay in Pornichet. The hotel is in a great position with sea views. The beaches are beautiful. The hotel has a lovely pool and a fab garden at the front. We played with our 3 year old, drank a glass of wine and listened to the DJ in the sunshine. Brilliant!

An Enjoyable Stay Indeed!

A beautiful and welcoming hotel from the start to finish. The food, the facilities, the surroundings and hotel itself are top class. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome after a long journey, the concierge/doorman/reception were all both patient and friendly whilst we become orientated with the hotel. Would definitely stay at the hotel again, and this time stay for at least two nights to enjoy all that is on offer.

Short Break to St Nazaire/Pornichet area

We decided to visit the Submarine pens in St Nazaire with my wife's parents and chose this hotel as a little treat for them. The hotel is stunning with a dramatic castle front that leads straight out onto a small beach area. Stunning outdoor pool and indoor spa facilities are all included in the price. The Queen beds were comfy and luxurious. Overall a great stay at this beautiful hotel and we will definitely return.

Fabulous hotel near La Baule

We stayed for two nights in May 2016.
The hotel is in a quiet residential area of Pornichet, facing the sea.
The front of the hotel looks like a Disney style chateau, the rest is ultra modern.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
Parking is valet style, also very efficient.
The dining room, bar and public areas are all very nice indeed.
We ate in the restaurant the first night.
The meal and drinks cost 150 euros, it was very good.
The second night we walked to the marina for dinner, about a fifteen minute walk. There are a number of bars and restaurants there.
La Baule is not far away if you want to drive for dinner.
The hotel has extensive spa facilities, and an indoor and outdoor pool.
You can hire bike at the reception.
Cycling would be easy, the area is level and has cycle paths everywhere.
Ask for a map of the town with cycle routes.
The private houses surrounding the hotel are particularly attractive and of varied design.
Pornichet is a good base for exploring the region, don't miss Guerande, a walled town about 40 minutes away.

Most disappointing stay in our two weeks in France

Check in and car park staff were excellent, then it went downhill from there. We had a dinner reservation for 7 pm and were promptly seated. We ordered one appetizer to share and two dinners a la carte. Others around us appeared to be on some meal plan, and came and went while we waited and waited and waited. At 9:15 we finally got up and left as no one had returned to take our dessert order. We advised the front desk, but there was no resolve. When we returned to our delightful room, the promised daily \"turndown\" with fresh towels had not and did not happen. We walked out to our balcony to the stench of wet cigarette buts in the ash tray that appeared to have been there for several days. But praise for the salt water hot tub attendant the next morning who helped wash away our frustration.

Nice hotel with a lovely view

Really nice hotel defiantly worth paying the extra for a full sea view, friendly staff especially if you at least make attempts at the language. Hired bikes and cycled the coastal/ beach road with stunning weather even at the very end of September and found some really great French cafe's and restaurants, but be prepared to have your french phase book to hand.

Watch a special football match. We needed a cup of tea on arriving in th room

Beautiful hotel but service needs some attention

This new, quirky, hotel is placed on the beach. It's location is wonderful. The public areas of the hotel are comfortable & very contempory. The salt water spa pool is dreamy. Our room was well equipped, good size with a balcony. Only negative on the room is the balcony area was very dusty & dirty. My daughter wrote her name on the table dust & the glass panels were filthy. The food in the restaurant was excellent but sadly the service was slow, unattentive (had to quote our room five times to different waiting staff at dinner) & I'd say the staff were very young & inexperienced. The pluses are; good public areas, giant chest board & dominios were loved by our daughter, the pool and the amazing animal sculptures dotted around the hotel. Minus are: inexperienced staff & dirty balcony area.

Le cadre de l’Hôtel le Château des Tourelles est magnifique, avec une vue superbe et une ambiance apaisante. Les équipes sont performantes, disponibles et très aimables, ce qui rend le séjour agréable. La chambre est confortable et joliment décorée, offrant un vrai sentiment de bien-être.
En revanche, pour un établissement 4 étoiles, certains détails mériteraient plus d’attention. Les panneaux de verre des balcons sont très sales, ce qui empêche de profiter pleinement de la vue sur la mer lorsque l’on est assis. Le sol du restaurant extérieur, côté piscine, est souvent jonché de restes de repas, et l’on remarque la présence de toiles d’araignées dans les parties communes ainsi qu’un mobilier de terrasse parfois sale ou marqué par l’usure. Avec quelques améliorations sur ces points de propreté et d’entretien, l’expérience serait réellement à la hauteur du cadre exceptionnel.

Je ne peux pas mettre 5 étoiles partout car l'eau de la douche ou baignoire était plutôt \"froide\" . Eau chaude à fond sans eau froide , il fallait faire vite pour ne pas se geler...

Une chambre confort très spacieuse avec un beau balcon cependant la vie \"jardin\" est en fait la vue sur le toit terrasse avec un peu de végétation. Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet très varié et un dîner bon mais un peu juste au niveau des quantités (pour mon mari)

La vue et le cadre est juste magnifique le petit déjeuner est à la hauteur du lieu petit bémol sur le mini bar dans la chambre qui est très bruyant la nuit
