I really enjoyed my stay at the Porter Square Hotel. It has everything I needed for my short trip to Boston. The staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and well kept. I woud highly recommend this hotel if you are headed to Cambridge. There are several food and coffee options in the area. The train station is in short walking distance also.

Easy check in, beautiful and updated hotel. However, the mattress was so hard I could barely sleep for any length of time without constantly repositioning myself (I’m in my 30s which says a lot). It was the worst mattress of any hotel I’ve ever been which was so unfortunate.

Super Friendly staff and clean rooms, just so unbearably small and difficult to get around if you have two people in the room. Our shins are bruised from constantly banging off the corners of the beds, trying to move about. The bathroom is also very very tight. The restaurant and bar need to stay open later than they do. Twice we’ve stayed at this hotel and twice upon returning we wanted to have a drink, but have gone elsewhere because the bar is closed. Also, lotion would be a nice amenity. So other than being too small, everything else is great.

We have stayed here many times because of location, price and adequacy of accommodations. Rooms are small, but efficiently designed. Storage is limited. Bath is tight, but it is well-appointed and works. The restaurant downstairs has become a lively spot. McCarthy’s pub, just steps away, is fun. Good and varied shopping is close, as is the T stop at Porter Square.

Room is clean and overall fine, but quite basic for a supposed 3 star hotel. The room lacks storage, with only a hook that fits 2 coats, a shoe rack, 1 drawer in each of the night stand, and a small desk. No fridge in the room (unless requested). Location is great, only steps from Porter Station and shops, and 20 min walk to Harvard.

The location is perfect to us. We walked to Harvard Campus, a few minutes to Red Line and buses. The facility is in good condition, including the amenity at the hotel and the room. The front desk people are very friendly.

Parking was easy and secure. Hotel is in a great location. Excellent restaurant. I had the Deluxe Twin room. Great for a shorter stay. Modern and clean. This hotel is like a lot of these newer hotels where the room space is more efficient. There is no closet, dresser or refrigerator, but plenty of places to hang your stuff. Nice staff. Loved the breakfast. Practically next door to the Red Line subway Porter Square stop. Close to Davis Square as well, and the whole area is safe and walkable.

This hotel is one block from the T-stop in Porter Square. From the red line you can get anywhere in the Boston area. There are restaurants nearby and a great bookstore. Andy's diner is a great, inexpensive early breakfast right near by. The hotel has gorgeous, quiet rooms. I've stayed there four times and love the place.

The room was sufficient as it relates to space. One of the nights we were there - the restaurant was closed due to a wedding. The parking is valet ($28 per night), and was very convenient. There are a couple of dining options within walking distance. It was fairly quiet throughout our stay. The mattress was very firm.

Towels ere so dirty I got a skin infection and have paid a lot for medical care. Duvet was not on , mildew was prevalent. Bathroom door was not a normal door.No laundry on site. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I stayed here fie two nights while visiting Boston. I was a tourist and wanted a hotel veey convenient to subway. Rge Porter hotel is only a half block from red line and 15 minutes from central Boston. Room was spacious and cinfortable. Would recommend.

Good location. Price is reasonable for Cambridge. There’s a T stop a block away, and it’s a pleasant walk to downtown Cambridge. Rooms are small but clean. Staff is friendly. If you are driving, the only parking option is valet for $28 per night. They offer in-and-out privileges, but it sometimes takes a while to get your car.

Staff was very nice and valet were quick and friendly as well. Finding the hotel entrance was difficult, had to drive around in a circle before i found it my second time by. Do the valet, parking is nonexistent. Beds (twin room) were uncomfortable and saggy. Room had a couple black flies.

The room itself was immaculate but a little small, which wasn't a big deal. The AC did not cool well, though, and thus the 3 star for comfort. Also, parking is available by valet only, which is currently a $28 premium. Area is safe and nice, close to Harvard University. Overall, we liked it. The facility was very clean and the staff was nice. A little pricey though.

Nice small hotel with thoughtfully designed rooms. My twin room was small but with plenty of hooks, hangers, and drawers to put my things so a 3 night stay was very comfortable. Nice toiletries, great service by staff.

Friendly staff, good location, smooth check-in. But guests can't turn off the fan from their rooms. We called the frontdesk three times to ask to have fan switched off. They were able to switch off the AC but couldn't turn off the fan. It was quite loud and was running the whole night. This could use some improvement. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
