Overall we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, if a little tired. Overall, we felt the decor throughout could do with a bit a of a lift (maybe fresh coat of paint and carpets to be washed. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Generally a good place to stay with kids and great close shopping amenities also.

Nice room, friendly front desk staff, and clean establishment. My safe didn’t work and that was inconvenient as I had to carry my valuables around. This was Thanksgiving weekend so staff was not in full force. Everything else was fine. I would stay here again.

The Freepoint Hotel Boston provided comfortable surroundings for our family during Tufts Parents Weekend. The location is convenient, with plenty of shops and cafés nearby — we grabbed breakfast at Starbucks next door.
The lobby, however, had a very strong disinfectant smell which wasn’t the most welcoming first impression. A softer, more sophisticated scent would go a long way. That said, the hotel’s open common area was a real highlight — spacious, modern, and perfect for working or relaxing. My kids and I spent most of the day there working and really appreciated it.
The rooms are a little tired but adequate. My main frustration was the pricing — over $400 a night felt excessive for the standard and amenities offered. Price surges like that make it less likely we’d return.
On the positive side, the staff were excellent — friendly, helpful, and even printed out some papers for us, which we truly appreciated.

This hotel does not look like the photos online. It is in a loud neighborhood on a major road surrounded by strip malls. No visible green space near it. Only restaurants within close walking distance are fast food. The restaurant inside is not really open, and the breakfast looked inedible besides coffee, cereal and apples. Three police officers were dealing with an altercation in lobby when I left. One good thing - the bed was firm and comfortable!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE BREAKFAST !! TERRIBLE. The bed was comfy, bathroon fixtures new and modern, toiletries good quality. Liked the table in the room. VERY ANNOYING that they left 2 bottles of water in the room for $3. each REALLY?? NO DECAF COFFEE - at all even for breakfast! FOOD was COLD terrible quality and no cutlery or real plates for $17.95 very sad!

Very convenient that food and roads, as well as train. Hotel is nice, beds are ok, tv has Netflix, we stayed here a week and it was convenient to everything we did, was easy to get uber, there’s a Starbucks attached to the hotel, great for a commuter or visiting your kid at college. Will probably stay here again 👍

This place is overpriced for what it is. There is a saying in construction when you try to update something poor a quick fix, it's called putting lipstick on a pig. This place made me think of it. The furniture in the hotel rooms, and lobby are so stained. The carpets feel dirty and worn out. Some pieces of furniture are so dinged up that they look like they are second hand. The linens and bathrooms were clean but just kinda gross at the same time.

It's expensive for what it is, plus they charge for parking and breakfast. This place was a fine place to crash for one night going thru town but I wouldn't stay here again.

I was very disappointed with our room and have cleaner hotel rooms in smaller hotels like Best western and Holiday inn. Upon using the bathroom, there was hair on the floor that was not ours. I also noted that the floor was still dirty. When trying to call the front desk, the phone didn't work. So I had to walk downstairs to tell the front desk. They did send someone to clean it but still wasn't very clean. We were so tired that I just wanted to shower and get my toddler to bed since it was already 9 am. In the morning I noticed way more things that were dirty and sub par for being a \"Hilton\". There were drip lines down the wall, the corner of the floor by the tub was dirty, there was food under the nightstand (metal wire) that was not ours, the cabinet had food streaked on it, not enough towels, etc. When we checked in, they told us breakfast was included and the times. Well, we sat down for a very mediocre breakfast (Best Western has a better breakfast and more options for the price) and was hit with a $50 bill. When I asked the front desk about it the lady tried to tell me that she checked me in and that she did not tell me that. I was able to describe the lady and supposedly she is the manager, so she \"also definitely would not have told me that either\". I told her that I was very unhappy between this and our room. She proceeded to tell me they fixed it, they didn't. Then lectured me for not calling them and I reminded her the phone was broken. Was very disappointing

This hotel was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The rooms were filthy, with stained sheets, unwashed bathrooms, and a musty odor that lingered no matter how long the windows were open. The so-called “breakfast” was barely edible—stale bread, lukewarm eggs, and watery juice that tasted like it had been sitting out for days. The staff were shockingly rude and unhelpful, treating every basic request like an inconvenience. The overall atmosphere was grimy and chaotic, and it’s clear that cleanliness and customer service are not even a remote priority here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—even for a single night.

Close to Cambridge, loveliest team day and night!

I spent three weeks at the Freepoint and have to say it was a real home-from-home. The hotel team were wonderful. The day staff friendly, helpful and fun, and the night staff the same - while also being very supportive of my journey to learning how to play pool! The bar wasn’t open during our stay but the team yet is bring a bottle of wine and a take out to the pool table area so we didn’t need to eat in our room. The hotel is conveniently located for Harvard, as well as other Cambridge and Boston places. There is a Dunkin’ right around the corner and a plethora of other food places and stores nearby, including a climbing gym and a cinema, so if you’re here for work you’ll also be able to wind down. Would definitely stay again when I’m back at Harvard for work. Thanks for having us!

I prepaid for the hotel breakfast at a discounted rate on Expedia when booking. The property didn’t have this on file and even though I showed them the receipt for the purchase, they wouldn’t accept it. I had to message with Expedia and ask them to call the hotel to confirm with them. Thirty minutes later, the hotel gave me the breakfast credit. Spent one night in a room on first floor with king bed. Was comfortable, clean and quiet. We were too tired to go to the bar or get back into car to find a restaurant. We walked to mall next to hotel and got takeout food from Whole Foods.
Breakfast at motel was a typical serve yourself buffet that should have been free with the room. It was not worth the cost. Next time we will go to the Starbucks next door.

Fairly standard hotel. Unfortunately, the rates in Cambridge and surrounding areas are extremely expensive. While this hotel is at the lower end of the price range, paying over $300 a night for this location is a hard pill to swallow. Of course, there are lots of add on charges -parking $25, water, etc.

We stayed at the Freepoint Hotel for some sports camps at Tufts and Harvard. The location is great with short, easy drives to both schools. The hotel is near a lot of great restaurants and there is a 2.25 - 2.50 mile running trail across the street which is great for anyone looking to exercise during their stay. Finally, there is a whole foods within walking distance for any grocery needs. We would definitely stay here again.

I can’t believe this is considered a Hilton Tapestry hotel. The furniture was scratched and dated and more like dorm room furniture than a hotel’s. It looks more like a cheap motel than a hotel. I stayed in a Hilton Tapestry hotel in Madrid that was beautiful with a lovely restaurant and atmosphere. There was no restaurant, no room service no friendly reception. A big disappointment in every way.

The trendy warehouse sort of vibe was a nice departure from the typical suburban hotel. The staff, cleanliness, and room were all great. I enjoyed having an onsite restaurant and the ability to park overnight. The gym was nicely appointed. My only wish was that the room had a microwave. I plan on staying here again next time I come to Cambridge/Harvard.

There was nothing we liked about this hotel. We used to come there before it was sold to Hilton. The room was not cleaned properly every day. One time they forgot to replenish the coffee. Another, the bathtub towel to step on exiting the tub. The bathtub was extremely slippery and when I requested a plastic bathtub mat with suction to place on the bathtub floor they told me they did not have any. The decor of the room is extremely minimalist: only two drawers to place clothing and not big at all. Our suggestion: stay away from this hotel!

The air conditioning was very noisy. The bathroom was poorly designed: one has overact behind a metal pole for the toilet paper. A repair around the bathtub faucet was badly done, leaving rusty marks on the plaster. Overall, very disappointing, Not even as nice as a Holiday Inn. Cheap, ugly carpeting in the hallway. When we arrived Friday evening and asked the young woman who checked us in for a nice restaurant recommendation, she suggested Chipotle or a takeout, not having any decent restaurants to suggest. We discovered some on our own.
The hotel had zero class. The common areas were kind of dumpy looking. The only good thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable.

The wall unit for heat didnt work at all. when i called down to check they said it takes 10 mins for it to kick on but press the heat button. I did and we froze all night but by 8 am it had started to work. The staff two different shifts was rude and inderferant about their suroundings. my husband asked where the closest gas station was by foot and they directed him the wrong way. Rude apon check in when I asked where are room was they said up there somewhere. Not impressed I havent stayed in a Hilton in many years do to them going down hill and this just confirms it for me. PSA do not pay for the 40$ breakfast for 2 people its equivalant to the free breakfast or mock breakfast inclued in most hotels. Its very basic at most.

Never Will I Stay Here Again

There was a loud Vibrating noise in the room especially in the bathroom and entrance, which radiated into the room as the space is small. That disturbed our slumber every night.
The bedroom Carpet smelled like pea.
Bathroom faucets and fittings were grimy. The toilet bowl was old.
Shower curtain smelled like it has never gotten the chance to dry. It held an unpleasant odor.
Housekeeping was on request. I requested it on the second day. When I returned to the room, all they had done as part of the service was leave 2 clean bath towels (whereas the room was booked for 3 persons) and they replenished two coffee cups. Beds were not made and our bath soap had finished, that was not topped up. It was obvious that it had not been topped up before we checked in either, since it had finished so quickly.
Parking was $25 per night, plus tax. It was an open parking lot exposed to the elements.
Nothing complimentary. Just two bottles of water.
This was the first time I’ve stayed at a hotel and did not want my skin to touch a thing.
It was dark and unwelcoming, on top of that, the staff was very dull and their attitudes seemed to match the atmosphere at the hotel.

Receptionist Acacia was fantastic! She leaves a very positive impression from the moment you talk to her at check-in.
Acacia speaks several languages and is a great asset for the hotel!
