This is in a great location, nestled in between Harvard and MIT and close to everything, but not in the immediate hassle and bustle of the city. The property is old so rooms and bathrooms are small and a bit dated but very quiet and a great restaurant and grab and go breakfast spot on site.

I was happy that Trader Joe's was on the parking lot and that Uber drivers could come right up to the hotel entry to collect passengers. The front office clerk who attended to my intake to the hotel was most helpful and very pleasant. I enjoyed the gym facilities as well.

Conveniently located for us, we enjoyed being close to Harvard, MIT, and our kids. The room was well-appointed and clean, but we needed an extra blanket that was provided, but it was not warm or comfortable. Overwashed and scratchy.
The staff was lovely and accommodating, especially in the bistro.
Parking is cheaper than at other hotels (by $5 a day) and convenient to the door to the hotel.

This was a great hotel in a great location! The whole building is clean and updated. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great- lots of options! Good access to transportation. There is a bus stop 2 blocks over, or you can walk across the river to the green line. There is a Trader Joe's in the same parking lot and a Whole Foods 2 blocks over.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I chose this hotel both times due to its proximity to the MIT campus. The rooms are mediocre, they need renovated and updated for what they charge per night. The pillows are lumpy. They charge a $32 per day \"resort fee\". When you check in they give you coupons for $32 for each night you stay to use in their Japanese steakhouse (I don't like that type of food) or their morning bistro. If I am out of town and spending $32 on breakfast, I am going to go eat at a decent restaurant, not mediocre hotel breakfast food. They have sensors in the room now that \"detect\" smoke. I am perfectly fine with that, as I do not smoke, vape, nothing. I am having to fight a $500 charge for their smoke detector sensor going off in my room, on a day and time when I was not even in the room. The manager on duty at the time ( I didn't get his name, but it was February 17th, 2026 in the morning when I talked to him) was not helpful or friendly at all. He was not willing to help me get the charge taken off, told me it was what it was and accused me of smoking or vaping in the room. I asked him to pull hallway cameras to see that I had left the room and wasn't in the room at that time, and I was told that there are no cameras in the hallways. Very poor customer service from the manager.

A great night’s stay! The woman who checked me in to the hotel was phenomenal! The room was spacious, and very clean. All of the employees I spoke with were so kind, and helpful. Always a smile on their faces. I have stayed here previously, and it is always a pleasure! I highly recommend booking a stay here.

I had to pay a $32 \"destination fee\" for a one-night stay. Please. It's 2026. Also, I was greeted at the registration desk by a boy who looked about 8 years old. That was a little weird. It was late on a Friday night.

The wall of our suite was also the wall of the Service Elevator. It was not insulated. It made a very loud noise from 4 a.m. to 12 pm. When we called the Manager he knew exactly what was causing the extremely loud noise and said the noise would stop from 12 pm to 9 am when the staff came back on duty, so we stayed there trusting him. At 4 am the loud noise started again. We tried the sofa bed in the other room. The springs were so bad we had to put it on the floor. However, we could still hear the noise. The noise was like banging on the wall. Obviously the manager knew about this issue and had not done anything to fix it. Just lied to the customers.

Front desk communication is the only thing that could be improved.

We and another couple did not realize that the breakfast closed at 10 am. We were given a coupon for breakfast when we checked in, but noone said anything about hours.
The front desk staff weren't overly friendly. I asked the young man at the front desk about the best way to get somewhere and I just received a one word answer \"Uber\". When we checked out, I gave our room cards to the woman at the desk, but did not realize that there might be an issue getting out of the parking lot without it. Apparently, we just needed to press the help button on the parking gate, but it would have been nice for the staff to be proactive, rather than me having to walk back from the car to find out the process.

The noisy heater woke us up several times through the night. The water pressure was good in the shower, but the bathroom wasn't in great repair (moisture damage in ceiling, cracking caulk, etc). The lighting in the bathroom was also particularly unflattering (a yellow/green cast). All outlets and lights that we used were functional, and the bed was comfortable enough. King sized pillows would have been nice on our king sized bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was good. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained. The only downside was that our room was adjacent to the service elevator which sent clunks and squeals through the walls for hours on end, disrupting our sleep. It woke us up for good at 4:30 on our first night, bothering everyone in our suite. We bought earplugs for our second night, but the noise was loud enough that it didn't make much of a difference. We did our best to sleep through it. In retrospect, we should have asked to move rooms for the seond night. Would have given this hotel 5 stars if we were able to get a good night's sleep.

Is a nice place, near to many convenient places, you have to pay around $40 for parking, so I recommend you pay in advance using Experian you can take it for around $20. Good training staff, be careful when you are exiting with your car from parking lot, there is a hole, my car is low so I get a hit under, that part of the city is just for particular cars, clearance are too low everywhere.

I had to bring my service dog with me. I called ahead to alert the hotel that she would be accompanying me. Staff was very accommodating and courteous, everything went smoothly. My daughter and her boyfriend were staying in another room and we all had a wonderful experience. The food at the Japanese steakhouse was incredible. I will recommend this hotel.

This hotel is within a short walking distance to Harvard University and MIT. Driving to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts took 15 minutes, and to the Isabella Stewart Garden Museum about 9 minutes.There was always parking at the hotel. It offers warm and delicious breakfast with a variety of choices. There’s also free coffee during the day. The staff was wonderful and informative, my hat off to Ms. Sandra, she was very informative and helpful. Ms. Sandra was always at the reception morning and evening. I will certainly stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cambridge again.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean. There were some little things such as the wallpaper bubbled in a few places, peeling in others. The drawers were scratched up. The toe kick under the fridge was scratched up/paint peeled off in places. These were all just little cosmetic things, but for $270+ a night I would expect everything to be tip top. There is a $32 destination fee on top of the room price tgat is charged. Plus $45 a day for parking if you park a car. It is close to bus stops for public transit (within 4 blocks). There is a restaurant in the hotel, a Trader Joes behind the hotel, and a Dunkin Donuts pretty close, but no other places for food nearby. Overall, a great hotel that I'd stay in again.

Remarkably expensive for value, but not out of line for the area. Disappointing breakfast. We were informed that our room rate had an additional $35/day fee added for the breakfast, which was non-refundable and definitely not worth it. Inadequate seating at breakfast. Corridors and lobby freezing temperatures, but some rooms had some ability to adjust. Parking was convenient and available for an outrageous price. Adequate bed, bath, everything worked except window curtains, which didn't quite close. Nice and quiet on our floor. Single king room was fine. So-called \"suite\" for 3 people was absurdly cramped. N8ce staff.
