Very nice, friendly staff person welcomed us, knew that we have stayed here before, and was very quick and pleasant. The rooms are spacious and have everything you'd want. It is in an excellent location within walking distance of the train station which is important to us. We like the nearby promendade also. The building is beautiful and the inside is classic. The breakfast has a great variety and is a nice way to start your day.

El mobiliario de la habitacion muy viejo, el cristal de la ban̈era estaba suelto siendo esto un problema de seguridad, el olor a madera en la habitacion era muy fuerte y para colmo NO tenia acondicionador de aire sino calefaccion. Esto debe ser eleccion del huesped si utiliza el a/c o la calefaccion y no una imposicion del hotel ya que no es gratis la estadia. Si asi funciona deben alertar al huesped al hacer la reserxacion.

Lcation and most of the staff were great. Initial room during the 1st night was terrible due to noise pollution from a noisy , \"clanking\"ventilation/ AC system. Kept me up half the night. After being denied a request for a room change the 1st evening, I spoke to the day time staff the next morning and told the to fix it or give me another room. The fan could not be repaired and I was given a nicer room on the same floor for the rest of my 4 day stay.
Very good breakfast buffet, great parking and location near Campo Grande, RR station and Valladolid Center and Plaza Mayor. Overall good but could have been excellent had it not been for the lack of responsiveness the 1st evening and night.

The hotel is well positioned for easy walking into the main city historical area. It’s also well positioned for the main city shopping centre.
The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. The only downside to the room was control of the AC Unit… it didn’t seem to work, or I couldn’t work it out, but I was quite warm in bed as a consequence.

Very good value, but not great
Pros: Great locationto see the main center of Valladolid, very nice property and furnishings, and professional friendly staff. Cons: Our room’s thermostat was broken and the bed mattress was substandard for a 4-star hotel. The continental breakfast was also substandard for the price (16.50 € each).

This place is fantastic! Definitely recommend. Great location - about a 10 min walk from the train station and on the main stretch for shopping, but not too loud. Close to the cathedral. The room was spacious, clean and good amenities (including A/C).

I have stayed at this hotel several times throughout at least 20 years. The decor has not changed. The rooms and common spaces are elegant, the staff always friendly. This time the distance to walk to the train station was an important factor.

Great location but rooms need a refurbishment. Superior room on the top floor was boiling hot with air conditioning turned off throughout the building to suit local customers. Shower in our room also very slow and dated. Not what I would have expected for such a highly recommended hotel.

This hotel has an excellent location and service was good. Unfortunately bedding fell short of what you would expect from a 4-5 star hotel. We could hardly get any sleep because we could feel the springs on our backs.

Cirstina at the front desk is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The lobby is clean and inviting. The rooms seem a bit old. The carpeting in the rooms could be replaced with newer flooring. Our bathroom in the room was nice and the shower has good pressure. Lovely courtyard with bar/restaurant. Parking was easy and a relatively reasonable price compared to other hotels we have been to in Spain.

This hotel was convenient, classy, spacious, and clean. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful in sharing information about the town, provided us a map, and helped in many other ways. Breakfast was worth the splurge as we enjoyed a large buffet with a variety of Spanish samplings.

Room is classic and warn, just some room facilities are not well maintained. The shower head is the most worst I have even see. Some concerns of room was covered with dust (rumor: hotel human resource was cut last year). However, it still a very nice hotel to stay.
When reception knew I will do check-out at 4AM next morning, they prepared an awesome breakfast picnic pack to me, very heartwarming!!
Due to my Malaga trip was extended, I re-booked a room after check-out in reception, and the room changed. I paid same price for the 2 rooms I stayed, but room space, the view out of window and some facilities are different. The room I booked via Expedia was much better than the re-booked one. Not sure if just coincidence or....but I will remember ALWAYS BOOK FROM EXPEDIA. (For another room I booked in reception, I will give 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars for overall scores)

We've used Melia hotels on a number of occasions and always find the standard high, and this one was no exception. Big room, very comfortable bed and very clean. Great breakfast and lovely bar with patio. Perfect location for shops and sights.

The room overall was well air-conditioned and comfortable, important for days when the temperature reached the high 30's, centigrade. Breakfast buffet, for an additional cost, was very good, catering Spanish, US, and UK tastes with a great variety of hot and cold options. The one drawback with Wi-fi was having to get a new password, on paper slips, from reception every 24 hour period.

My internet connection was awful and the hotel didn't make any effort whatsoever in fixing it. i told them the very first day and nothing happened. It is not acceptable from a 4-star hotel. Hotel director was condescending and arrogant. Not your best bet for a business trip.

Great hotel, walking distance from railway station and Valladolid old town. We stopped here for one night on our way on the train from Madrid to San Sebastian. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the town was and the hotel had a lot to do with this. Highly recommended.

This is a great hotel in an excellent location in Valladolid. We enjoyed the large room, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. The parking lot was difficult to access (call ahead for directions) so we used the public parking 2 blocks away. The only fault was that the heater in the room was set to 24C and we couldn't set it lower.

I was on a business trip for 2 nights. The location is fantastic - suitably close to both the train station as well as the city centre. Each a short walk away. The hotel is immaculate. The room was lovely - very spacious with a wonderful view. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. They were extremely professional. I enjoyed my stay very much and would love to stay there again if I visit Valladolid.
