The hotel is beautiful and the huge lobby is comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is also spacious and comfortable. We had the buffet breakfast and it was amazing. There was a huge spread of choices including dumplings and other foods that are non bread. The coffee and juices were also delicious. I highly recommend this place

The hotel appears not to have enough working lifts to accommodate all guests. At times there was a 20 minute wait to get from the upper levels down to the ground floor. Mystery charges were also charged to my card after checking out with staff unable to give a reason why - am now waiting for the staff to call me back with answers.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are a decent size, the bathroom is a little small but has excellent water pressure. The only downside for the Hyatt is lifts. I had to wait 15 minutes to get down to the lobby. Other than that, it’s a good hotel

The location was very good, right near the marina and Sealife Aquarium. Lots of dining near the waterfront and the Hop on Bus Stop was close by too. This hotel is very large with several restaurants & a bar/ lounge. They have many business people & conference rooms, so lots of people coming & going all day & night. The staff was very friendly & professional. Our room was clean and comfortable & it was very quiet. They took very good care of our luggage storage while we waited for our airport transfer several hours later that day. Only issue we had was regarding their breakfast. We were told at check In that we had to preorder our breakfast buffet for every day of our stay, so we went ahead and added it onto our hotel bill. When we went to the buffet we were consistently asked if we wanted it charged to our room? We told them we had already prepaid, and it took them forever to find that charge on our reservation! So, this was a complete LIE! We did NOT have to preorder — we could have just paid every day as needed. Did not appreciate that! I had to check our bill at check out to make sure we had not been double charged. Maybe the business people don’t care because their corporations are paying, but as a private customer, I do not like being lied to & then questioned about a charge everyday!

Have stayed a few times here over recent years. Nice hotel in general. Restaurants are good, somewhat pricey compared to surrounding restaurants but consistent. Rooms do need a refresh, particularly bathrooms. Markings/grime on tiles in showers. Low water pressure in shower. Toilets flushing and running water from cistern needing to press a number of times to stop. Just feels a bit dated for the price paid.
A good hotel but used to be great.
Noise from hotel and street on city side of hotel seemed extra loud. Even from top floor. Double glazing or other insulation would be good.

Everything was good. But the day I checked out, I went out for breakfast and was going to take a nap before checking out. The battery on my door handle was dying so my card didn't work and I went back and forth (my room and reception) a lot of times to find out it was a battery problem - I had to show them a recording of the doot not working. The staff opened the door for me in the end, but it was a lot of back and forth and my room was at the far end. I didn't have time to nap in the end and there was no apology from the staff, even when I checked out. Ruined my last day. Room also not sound proofed well

Excellent staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I sent my clothes to be cleaned via the hotel. It was very nice to see my clothes hung up in my room when I returned at the end of the day. There was a tall kid (I didn't get his name) with curly hair who was very helpful when I had questions about my day trip to Canberra (he said his brother lived there). Please pass along my thanks for all of his help.

Overall a good stay; but mom was unexpectedly locked out of the room (917) on the morning of checking out at 10:30 when the checkout time was officially 11am. My family was fortunately rescued by a staff passing by - it seems unreasonable to have the system deactivate the key cards before the checkout time.

We didn't have a great room. Lights didn't work and we ended up having to sleep with the lights on. Our toilet only flushed sometimes. A staff member did come to try to fix the lights but was unsuccessful. Definitely not worth the price. The rest of the hotel was nice, it was just our experience that wasn't great. We are traveling in from Canada so we know to not stay here next time.

The hotel was very clean including public places. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good - an extra cost but worth it. Most staff were very friendly and helpful but came across one desk clerk that may have been having a bad day and was unfortunately very rude for no apparent reason - who knows. Otherwise I would have rated the hotel a perfect 5 out of 5.

Excellent location, short walk to Darling harbour/ Barangaroo and to the city. No swimming pool. Good buffet breakfast facilities, excellent bar on roof top looking out over the harbour and surrounds, but pricey $$. Bed was quite hard, shower had good pressure. Room was very quiet on city side of the hotel. Found all staff pleasant and helpful.

I was charged for food taken out of the mini bar yet I used nothing from the mini bar. I did have a tea, which I assumed was free. If charging $7.63 for a tea bag is what Hyatt considers reasonable, then this will be our last stay at any Hyatt hotel. Most less expensive hotels provide in room coffee and tea for free. Shame on you Hyatt for being so cheap

A Hyatt package came up and I decided to book it but as a longtime Accor loyalist, I didn’t expect much.
I was blown away! The room was perfect, quiet, the amenities were great, and the location was fantastic. I walked everywhere or took the train.
The best part, though, was the staff. They were warm, polite, and genuinely kind. Everything I needed was met with a “no problem.” I felt heard, seen, and truly valued. Carl and Ahmoud were amazing and went out of their way to make my stay incredible. Not once was I met with annoyance or anything negative — just smiles and kindness from every staff member I encountered. They honestly made me want to be a better person — that’s how exceptional the service was.
I will absolutely be back!

2. The link received didn't work for self-check-out.
3. The self-check-out kiosk in the lobby also failed, so customers leaving needed to join a long queue at reception, wasting their time.
4. The escalator to the bar was not working.

A good hotel, but definitely not at a 5-stars level.
