The hotel was nice and modern with a bright lobby, we were welcomed with a warm smile.
The room was nice and clean the bathroom was a little squishy but served its purpose perfectly fine.
The buffet breakfast was a very nice with lots to choose from if booked the night before it’s only $25 all you can eat.
Parking is a breeze at the Wilson’s harbour side parking station right next door and only $40 overnight. Only a short 5 minute walk to darling harbour.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in the city.

I recently stayed at Ibis Darling Harbour and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience overall. The hotel is in quite poor condition—carpets are ripped in places, and both the rooms and bathrooms feel very worn and in need of maintenance and renovation.

Service was also disappointing for the most part, as some staff members came across as unfriendly and unhelpful. However, I do want to acknowledge one staff member—a young woman at reception—who kindly assisted us in changing rooms. She was professional, approachable, and made an effort to improve our stay, which we really appreciated.

That said, the general condition of the hotel and the inconsistent service made the stay far below expectations. I hope management takes steps to improve both the facilities and customer experience.

The location was useful for those attending the conference centre or those wanting to be on the edge of the city but not right in it. There were good public transport links ie train and ferry. There was a supermarket and launderette close by if needed.

It was a lovely stay, just wished the bed wasn’t on wheels that moved while we slept as we tossed or rolled over, more secure would be appreciated. The shower door, there was no way of actually having it properly closed as it would swing open.

The only uncleanliness would be in the lifts, carpets could do with vacuuming more often.

Staff were lovely and the hotel itself was in a wonderful location.

Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again.

We only stayed one night as a layover and it was suffice for us. We had a Queen room with ensuite. Not alot of space for big luggage or alot. We asked for a harbourview room. Unfortunately due to another skyrise buildings being built infront of the hotel, it will soon lose its harbourview, which is ashame as it certainly would have been worthwhile. The bed was very comfy and warm. Ensuite was ok. Shower pressure was great though. The hallways on our floor, the carpets could do with a spruce up as its looking very outdated. Dinning area and bar was open, both inside and out. Staff were friendly and accommodating especially with allowing us to store our luggage pre-check in and post check out while we explored the city. All in all, its not luxurious but if you're just looking for a bed for a night or two thats cost effective and want to be close to the hype, Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour is a good place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the IBIS Hotel Darling Harbour. This was our second stay at IBIS Hotel Darling Harbour. The hotel is a short walk away from the Pitt Street shopping mall, public Transport and restaurants. The Breakfast at the restaurant was really yummy and there were lots of Gluten Free Options.

Great location in Darling Harbour precinct and easy walk to the CBD and down to Circular Quay area. Checking in staff member clearly announced my room number in front of other nearby people. Sleep deprived and exhausted after being on the go for the previous 30+ hours meant I had to ask which way to turn once I got the room key. Very difficult to turn off the shower taps properly- particularly the hot tap, which could be a safety concern.

Rooms were small and cramped. They were also old and in need of refurbishment. The whole hotel could do with refurbishment. The thermostat (from the 80s probably) in my room didn’t work so had to get them to fix it the next day which they did. Bed was comfortable. Location is good.

Left a bit to be desired for a hotel in the city. Room was small, window open/close chain made a horrible noise as the top cover had come loose. The shower plumbing made thumping noises as I struggled to get the temperature right. The bed was comfy enough though. Breakfast was about right value for a buffet breakky.

For the price, you’re better off staying at the Aiden down the road. Same price for a brand new property. Ibis was dated and for $450 a night I’d expect something a little better quality.

Really the location is the reason to book this hotel. It's not especially well taking care of, shabby chic. The staff were non-communicative, almost unfriendly, but did make eye contact & say hello once. Seemed clean enough, no stains on bedding or the like.

To be clear, the location is why I chose this hotel & would possibly choose it again.

Not enough staff for check in/check out at busy times. However, staff were very courteous and helpful. Stayed in a superior twin harbour view room. Could not call it superior at all. The room was very small and hanging and storage space were virtually non-existent. Mattress topper on bed did not stay in place and was half off by morning. Presume because it had a harbour view this made it superior?!

So long as you remember this is a budget hotel it was very good. Smallish room and thin towels but clean and comfortable. Very close to Darling Harbour. Used to have great views before new building work. Downstairs bar a bit expensive.

The hotel is in need of a deep cleaning and updating. The lobby has been recently updated and looks very nice and modern. However the rooms and hallways haven't. The carpet through out the room and hallways were VERY dirty. The bathroom tile and chalking was old and dirty as well. Breakfast wasn't working $30. The staff was very helpful and nice. The area was nice and had a lot to see and doing within walking distance. I wouldn't recommend until it has been updated.

Room design is form 70's, small and not functional, not even one shelf or hanger in the bath, breakfast is overpriced as for number of options in vicinity, the only great feature of this hotel is a great location and reasonable room price. I don't think they will survive after loosing the view of the bay due to new construction in front of it.

The staff were wonderful! The room was something to be improved upon. The platform under the shower was rotten so it was mushy under shower pan. The shower door did not have weather stripping, so it leaked all over the floor. The laundry line was missing but the hardware was still there. The room was tiny with very limited closet space & no drawers for clothes. The blinds were broken and the curtains were missing. Lots of mold, and not very clean (was able to wipe mold off shower walls & bathroom with wash cloth).

The breakfast menu was good consistent with free breakfast items. The hotel seems outdated as there were obvious wear and tear. I was disappointed that there was no in room safe to secure valuable documents such as passports or extra credit cards. Location was good. Light rail was within easy access. Hop on hop off bus nearby as well. Both within less than 5 minute walk.
