The main entrance of the hotel is actually being used as a restaurant with dinning tables for customers . The moment you enter the restaurant, you automatically think that you are not in the right place as you are expecting a hotel reception/ lobby , not a restaurant. The entire decor of the hotel is dark coloured walls with murals and very dim lighting so it’s very difficult to see the 2 lift door on the left wall in the restaurant that takes you to level 1 of the building where the actual reception is. There is no clear signage or reception staff at the main entrance to guide the guests. There is just a small plaque on the wall saying “ QT hotel level 1 “ but it’s very hard to see. A hotel of this calibre should have clear signage and concierge at the main entrance.
I was allocated the room 813 on level 8. The room was decent size and everything was reasonable as you would expect from a 4- 4.5 star property. However, there was no normal drinkable water bottles in the room. I managed to find a small glass bottle of sparkling water in the bar fridge but that was a $12 bottle. No complimentary bottle water for guests paying $400/ night.
I tried calling the reception but the phone wasn’t working. So I went to the reception and was told that I can buy water bottles or drink the tap water from the bathroom. “ it’s not our policy to provide complimentary water”. Was the straight answer . I had to go to a 7/11 store near by to buy some water bottles for my stay.

This is the second time I've stayed at QT. It's a lovely hotel with funky interior design and a great location, Rooms are nicely designed and bed very comfortable. The only drawback in this room was the bathroom design - the bathroom is a shower room with the toilet right next to the shower which meant when you had a shower, the toilet was soaked, the loo paper was soaked, and the floor was wet so unless you used the towels to dry the toilet and floor you couldn't use or get to the toilet without getting wet. Nice bar and restaurant - great happy hour and great breakfast. Despite the bathroom I would stay here again and would also recommend to others.

I love everything about the hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. My late check-out request was granted and that gave myself couple hours for Boxing Days shopping. Thanks a lot, team!
The bed was super comfy! Soft yet firm enough and I slept like a baby. The room was very clean, spotless huge bathroom with a big bath tub. If the room is dark for you, just slide open the bathroom devider for stronger light.
The hotel design from lobby to room is very special (one main reason for my choosing the hotel in the first place). If you like something out of the norm of cookie cutter chain hotels, this is for you.
Food at 2 onsite restaurants were amazing at well. Strongly recommended to try during your stay.
Would definitely stay again if/when I'm back to Sydney.

It’s looking tired and needs a make over. The room was very dark. I couldn’t find my reading glasses and, after a 20 minute search, found them on the black bedside table. The drinks at the bar were hopeless by current standards (spend less on dry ice and more on fresh limes)

The room was pretty impractical, very style over substance. The walls displaying things were full of dust as they’re impossible to clean, there weren’t enough hooks for the towels and dressing gowns and the lighting was very complicated. The “reward” for not using housekeeping could only be used after checking out so not very helpful.

Quirky and unique atmosphere. Service at check in was courteous and friendly. Service at checkout could improve. No questions asked about how our stay was. Just a “you’re good to go”! Would have loved to feedback that the window sills need dusting and the curtains need cleaning in Room 510. During our stay, when entering the building. There was a strong smell of sewage. Wasn’t very pleasant. If your planing to stay with someone your not comfortable seeing you naked. This hotel is not for you. The door to the bathroom does not completely cover the door frame. There is a gap. The bathroom door also faces the bed.

Charming boutique hotel right in the middle of downtown Sydney. The restaurant on the ground floor was great! We had a really nice room - unusual layout. We arrived around 9 in the morning, strung out from a trans-pacific flight. They got us into our room early and even left some treats when they found out it was our honeymoon. Great experience!

The hotel location is awesome, and the staff was great. The room itself was very nice, but the bathroom setup was crazy. The shower had no door, which we’ve experienced at similarly designed hotels, but it does make it rather chilly and the bathroom floor gets absolutely drenched with the way the water flows out of the shower. Besides that flaw and having to dodge giant puddles after showers, we enjoyed our stay. I’d still recommend it :)

Still love the QT. But you sometimes miss. Kettle didn’t work and took a long while to have replaced.

Excellent rooms. Very quiet despite central location and busy streets below. I was on the fifth floor of the gowings building (twin room with 4 occupancy). Large bathroom with big bath twin vanity sinks.
Very well stocked mini bar.
Luckily we didn’t need parking as it’s very expensive and difficult to park.
Highly recommended for location.

The room was unique and comfortable, but the open bathroom concept means you should be comfortable with the people you are staying with, or you soon will be. The shower and bath were fantastic. Bed was decent, not too hard or too soft. The room layout was a bit funny and didnt have the easiest suitcase or clothing storage options. The mini bar had lots of options, though I would expect them to be quite pricy, as the restaurant was quite overpriced, but on par with the Sydney CBD. The overall hotel vibe is very funky and fun, chique and fashionable, certainly makes you feel cool as you make your way through it.

The reception staff were very freindly and were happy to give us great city recomendations and held our luggage even after checking out while we waited for our evening flight. The location was perfect, central to everything and two blocks from the St. James train station. Would happily stay there again!

The staff at check-in was superb, accommodating our request for a quiet room and an earlier check-in due to an early arrival. The hotel is an historic structure creatively redone. Perfect location in the CBD - steps from the light rail service to the quays where the Opera House is situated, across the street from the historic Queen Victoria Building shopping arcade and easily walkable distances to many other sites and lovely parks.

Everyone on staff was attentive to every need as well as being knowledgeable about the city.

A great top of the range hotel for that special occasion. It is central with easy walking distance to the main centres, mainly Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The staff members were lovely and extremely helpful. We were particularly looked after as it was our anniversary and the hotel provided some lovely extras which made our anniversary even more memorable. Definitely coming back for other special occasions.

Overall style isn’t too bad. I’m not a big fan of The see-through glass into the bathroom. Walkways are huge I think that’s pretty cool. Rooms are large. What drops me down from a five star to a four star was I did make a request for two singles and a roller in the room. That wasn’t provided but the customer service was excellent in resolving this giving me a room for the night which didn’t take away from the experience but overall the location is very good in walking distance of a lot of the hotspots framing of the hotel is great, but yeah, just that one design Thing that I didn’t like about the showers in the toilets having see-through glass makes it seem like a love hotel instead of a theatre kind of classy hotel.. I was definitely an interesting experience but the customer service was lovely.

A very funky revamp with truly quirky features; the designer has fun!
Whilst I've given a 4 out of 5 there were a few issues - those controllable were addressed - which I
appreciated. Big thanks to the 2 duty managers for doing so: the wet carpet smelling room and the inclusive feather pillows. My expectations were exceeded by these two.
Appreciated: Room upgrade, Choice of eating venues,/ Delicious room service menu (the nourish bowl was amazingly fresh), sustainable credit for forgoing room clean, super comfortable bed and light switch that didn't require leaving bed to turn off lights, movie selection.
Suggestions: mini bar price list, some cutlery, facility for better lighting in rooms should it be required.

Man i have no idea where to start the moment you enter it feels like a hotel out of john wick like a continental stay greeted by staff very friendly. They answered any questions I had weather it was 1pm or 1am the whole thing was a great experience if you like shopping the shopping mall and store are all walking distance but if not the taxis are everywhere and very affordable great stay and Australia is a beautiful and friendly place to visit thank you for having me.

We had a very pleasant 3-night stay at the QT Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to an executive room which was spacious and comfortable with interesting decor. Our one in-room dinner, and the lunch and afternoon tea we had in The Parlour restaurant downstairs on the ground floor, were all very enjoyable. Cleanliness of the room was good, the only problem being that water from the shower splashed out over quite a bit of the bathroom floor due to the layout of the shower area. The shower itself worked very well, and it was good having two separate hand basins. We would definitely like to stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Staff were friendly attentive and ever present.. room was lovely..beautifully appointed .. loved the Dyson hair-dryer.. my only criticism is that it was very dark. Even the bathroom lighting was very low making doing make up a bit of a challenge.. but otherwise would definitely recommend. Would absolutely visit again.. the Parlour restaurant was lovely. Food and service was perfect..
