Expected a little more service considering we paid $3,700 for 4 nights. On arrival, the concierge just pointed me, my (obviously) 8 month pregnant wife and two year old the way to the lift to reception. Didn’t offer to take any luggage so we schlepped two suitcases, hand luggage and a pram to reception by ourselves.
On check in we weren’t given access to the lounge (which was included in our booking), or even told about any of the dining options. I had to ask about breakfast. In room dining of two pizzas were both undercooked and not fresh.

Good place to stay, great location. You will be waiting 5+ minutes for the elevator no matter what though and no stairwell access to use instead of elevator. Staff were friendly except during check in the lady disappeared for 30 mins while other people got their rooms. Was told 3pm check in guarantee which was not the case

Our room was large, clean and the bathroom was nice with good shower pressure.
Staff were lovely.
The only downside was the lifts. As in many reviews the lines for the lifts were long and quite frustrating. We were on the 11th floor so I would have been happy using the stairs. I went into the stairwell and then couldn’t get out as all the doors are locked. Common sense is if the lifts are suboptimal open the stairwell for those that are able and happy to use.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location and not too far from the airport which makes this as an excellent choice.The room was clean and staff at the reception and concierge were very helpful during our stay. The room condition is good but has a very unique layout. Cleanliness could be improved for the room and maintenance on some areas of the room would be great. Swimming pool area is great too. The only downside is you have to use multiple elevators for your hotel room which sometimes could be a long wait during busy times. Overall, a great place to stay and easily accessible to major attractions CBD has, would recommend.

A hotel that is really run down and now under renovation, where only 2 of 3 elevators was working leading to 10 minutes wait for elevators throughout the day. It was so bad, that hotel staff at peak hours guided guests to the staff elevators to minimize frustrations amongst the guests. When asking the reception for news on when the elevators would be operational again, it was repeatedly told the closed elevator would Be operation next day. We were there for 6 days and the 3rd elevator never worked and finally found a staff member, who admitted the renovation would take the better part of 2 years.
In general terms, this is a tourist hotel and definitely not a business hotel. We called 5 times for laundry pickup only to be told to deliver it to the reception ourselves.
The WiFi in the rooms worked sporadically at best and prevented the working from the room.
When checking out and requesting 4 hrs late check out, it was rejected unless we paid extra despite being told there was plenty of open availability for the specific day.
Difficult to see where the 4 star rating comes from.

The hotel was very good and in a great position the executive club however a bit of a let down owing the the large number of unruly children . We don’t blame the hotel for this but if parents bring their children into an executive club they should be calm and not screaming

I booked for the people but when we got there they only had one bed for two people and when I queried this discrepancy they advised it happens a bit and they advertise as fitting three people because it’s a king size bed so could possibly fit three in the one bed. They couldn’t find a trundle or another room so we could change so one of us slept on the floor the three nights we were there. The other frustration was that each morning it took 15-20 minutes to get a lift that was free to be able to get downstairs and out of the building.
It was unfortunate experience as we were keen to stay somewhere near CBD that had gym and pool.

Only two lifts working so long waiting for a lift. and it was a lot of time already full. Coffee in the moring was not good. they had a selfservice coffe machine for 5 starhotel i wish to be served the coffee in the morning or at least a good machine.

The hotel is in a great location and rooms are a good size. Breakfast was average compared to other international hotels overseas. The hotel was full and one of the lifts wasn’t working so there were long waits to get in and out of your floor.

The lifts is a huge problem here. The first one up to the level 8 lobby is fine but the rooms one is shocking. We waited over 10 minutes regularly if not longer for one to come. There are no stairs so you havent got an option but to wait. They dont have enough lifts to serve the purpose of the hotel. If youre on one of the lower floors this is even worse. The room was ok, cleanliness was definitely an issue. I moved the bed to the side and there was a ton of dirt and rubbish tucked underneath. The bathroom was also mouldy in a number of spots. Im judging this at the class the hotel presents itself as. The reception is very slow with no more than 2 people there. Overall i just found this hotel to be lacking. Its definitely not 5 stars or probably even 4.

The Swissotel is located in the heart of the CBD and a great place to stay.The rooms are clean an tidy, with plenty of room.
My only suggestion would be that the covers on the bed need to be larger and warmer,we found that with two in the bed one of us was always lacking in covers at certain points in the night and we weren’t warm enough.

Room was dirty and not cleaned well, dirty teaspoons in drawer, old chip or food behind coffee machine, dust in drawers, I complained to front desk and simply said will get house keeping to look at it. Later that day new teaspoons, still mouldy sticky stuff in drawers and the old bit of food still behind coffee machine.

Excellent Location, Peaceful Stay

Swissôtel Sydney was a fantastic base for exploring the city. The room was quiet and comfortable, despite being in the CBD. Grocery shopping was easy with Westfield just below, and there were great cafés nearby for breakfast. Transport was seamless—QVB is right across the street, and the Opera House is a short ride away. Highly recommended for convenience and calm in the heart of Sydney.

Took my five year old son for a two night staycay. Really enjoyed the convenience of the location to shopping, restaurants, public transport and events in the area. Hotel was really beautiful and staff so wonderful - especially one of the doormen, who would high five my son every time we came in. Brekky was great and the pool was lovely. Only negative when we visited, was the poolside and in room dining app wasn’t working, however staff were able to accommodate by taking verbal orders. Only thing with the pool area, is you had to wait for staff to come out, as I couldn’t leave my 5 year old in the pool area alone - but I’m sure this is something that is being worked on, as staff were testing it when we were there.

But we absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel!!!

It was a good trip.. unfortunately the hotel let me down. If you carry 5 stars then the expectation is there that the place is properly staffed and that you are not going to have to Queue for an unnecessary amount of time to do the basics, like check in or out. It is unforgivable that there are only 2 lifts servicing the whole hotel. This really let's the experience down. Breakfast was also crowded and the staff working the egg station just didn't seem to understand much of what was said to them. it was hit and miss as to what you ended up with.

Our only problem was being expected to share one bed with daughter and granddaughter. I assumed when the booking was made it was recognised that 2 beds were required. I was then asked to pay an exorbitant price for a roll away.
Hotel very handy to transport and shops.
The Club rooms were busy and a few unruly children. The staff were great.

We love Swissotel in Sydney CBD. Even though we only live 90mins away, it's where we come to celebrate our wedding anniversary when we have time. All the staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and spotless. Interior design is great and location is fabulous. Beds and pillows are comfy. And the bathrooms (THANK YOU) have an actual solid door and not a sheet of glass. We've stayed in a number of hotels in CBD over the years and my husband travels for a living and we both think it's hard to beat Swissotel.

Very centrally located. Walking distance of max 1.5 to 2 km to all major attractions of Sydney. Very well kept hotel with spacious rooms. The only downside is that the parking of your car was chargeable. But that’s I believe is with every hotel in CBD area . Lot of eateries & Convenience stores were just a 5 min walk away. Tram stations were just below the hotel.

Excellent location to explore the bustling Sydney CBD with tonnes of shopping and attractions at your doorstep. Major problem if you are driving, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for parking. Public transport options are fantastic.
Staff are polite but lack attentiveness and mostly cold. None stood out in particular for me.
The pool had no one to facilitate towel changing and locker key distribution. Spa is non-existent / non-functional.

I was a bit miffed that you need to ask room service if you want a wash cloth for the bathroom. The desk told me that they are trying to be Eco friendly by not putting wash clothes in the rooms. But they do have the most \"massive bath towels\" that I have ever seen. Maybe they should look at the size of the bath towels if they want to be Eco friendly. Takes a lot of water to wash towels that big. You could wash 25 wash clothes to just 1 giant towel. Can you tell that I was annoyed by this? Otherwise everything else was perfect.
