We payed $590 for one night twin bed room for a view of a brick wall out our window. It’s Darling harbour park royal not a backpackers. Very poor!!!!!!!!!

Great location. Walkable to everything or scooter. Popular restaurant. No pool but littte gym.
Our room did not have a view of anything but the freeway. It was relatively quiet… we put on white noise to help us sleep.
Valet only. They’re pretty quick &, very friendly.
Overall an expensive hotel where you’re paying to be downtown

Ideal location for us close to darling harbour, darling square and cbd. Staff super friendly, i even got a bottle of sparkling wine and cake sent to my room for my birthday. Breakfast was ok my son loved the pancakes. Bed super comfy, great block out curtains. Loved the himalyan bath salts for the bath. Enjoyed the room service options and suoer speedy!

The location was good - near enough to Town Hall station and to the many Darling Harbour restaurants, ferries and other tourist amenities. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was well-equipped and comfortable. The view from the windows wasn't great, but that's the price you may pay for a hotel located in a big city. I woyuld definitely consider the Park Royal for any future stays in Sydney.

Staff were incredible !! 💯 Every question answered professionally and super helpful. I arrived late for check-in they were incredibly helpful - even booked breakfast in advance. Directions to nearby venues the staff on valet amazing gave me the quickest way so helpful. Room service was awesome! We had a blast felt like I was on a vacation not just booked into a hotel for 2 days - Thanks guys appreciated a lot 🙏

It was okay. It was our third stay and we have found each stay to be a little more underwhelming than the last.
Booked a deluxe twin and it felt anything but deluxe, not facing Darling Harbour but into office buildings at the back of the hotel. Bedside table and desk with patches of something sticky on them.
Bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

Expensive and over rated roof was tidy, wardrobe way too small and pretty pointless, no mini bar, looked straight into an apartment so kept curtains closed.

Met by concierge who took bags into hotel but had to take own bags up to room so not sure why they bothered

Not one to complain typically but this one feels warranted. Paid over $700 for a room last night for the family. First issue was when I found used chewing gum on the bedside table on the little cardboard sign they put there, disgusting.
So this place has a bedroom with ensuite and a seperate living room right... Do you know how many light switches were in this suite? 9. And how many of them can you turn on without a light coming on in the bedroom. None. No matter what light switch you hit, you are forced to have light shine in the bedroom. Even the 3 bathroom switches are scattered around the bedroom meaning you have to open the door with the light already on. The living room switches also included a downlight in the bedroom . This was so bizarre.
Only 3 towels provided for 4 guests.
Carpets were littered with stains. I get it happens but there were many and on topof the rest it feels worth mentioning. The parking was convenient and the breakfast decent. The fresh omlette was the highlight.
When I reported these issues during checkout the bloke just blank faced me and mumbled a sorry. He didn't even write anything down or make any effort to meaningfully appologise. I didn't ask for anything, but it certainly fell on deaf ears.

Good hotel, however if your partner is in the bathroom there is no mirror to do makeup and hair. You can sit on the floor at the long mirror to do your make up, but no plug to do hair, so sit at the table where there is a plug but no mirror, or wait an eternity until the bathroom is free. No one was there to help with my bags from the car to the lobby when I arrived at 10AM
They charged $150 for an early check in
The rooms are neglected: when using the shower, it makes a noise like if you are riding an old diesel truck and every thing else looks/feels old and unclean
The hallways reek (strongly) of burned toast and coffee and so does the inside of the room
The A/C thermostat does not allow for changing the temperature
The most convenient entrance when returning to the hotel is a narrow alley that does not feel safe

I travel extensively for work, all around the world. Comparing this hotel to other 4-star properties, this falls far below the mark. The bathroom was dirty and cleaning was not thorough. A renovation is badly required to bring rooms and the property in general up to normal, global standards for this kind of hotel that is otherwise well situated in a larger city. Staff were minimally helpful, which I do not attribute to them personally, but rather to what appears to be poor training and management. Beds were not comfortable, nor were the room amenities any good. You are best to stay elsewhere until the Pan Pacific Group invests in a renovation.

Our first time and it was delightful, from valet staff to housekeeping everyone was warm, friendly and professional. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast was delightful they even had umbrellas on rainy days to pick up and drop off. Sweets cart of Australian goods on some afternoons.
Close to food, bars and shopping. We felt very safe with our children walking in the evening neighbourhood.
Will stay again, thank you.

We stayed in a suite and it was essentially a king room with an extra adjoining room with a sofa bed and television. The sofa bed is not comfortable at all. And the room was full of mosquitos. Some of the roofing near the air conditioner was exposed / open. Really disappointing. I will not stay here again. On top of the room issues we also had issues with parking… they offer $65 for valet, definitely get this as they tell you on arrival that to self park is at another complex which is filthy and ends up costing $55 per night. If you are a family wanting to stay in a room with two beds do it in a double room. Not in one of the suites. They are NOT suites in terms of space or comfort.

Power outlets were tricky: I brought a travel adapter, but the fit in the socket was so loose that the adapter would fall out of the wall socket unless I propped it up with makeshift supports, like an upside-down teacup sitting on top of the bedside clock.

The room was advertised to me as having a harbor view, which was accurate: the harbor was visible from my window. But there is a gigantic building, the W Hotel Sydney, blocking most of the view. This isn't the Parkroyal Hotel's fault, per se, but travelers deserve to know about it.

I wasn't looking for a budget hotel when I booked this, but it's what it felt like. In our first room the bathroom floor was sandy, but they couldn't locate anyone from housekeeping so moved us. Second room was nice at first glance, but had hairballs behind the door, peeling paint around the air con vents, no bath plugs or sink plugs. We couldn't eat on site because the breakfast and restaurant don't cater for coeliacs (or if they do it's not made clear, so we didn't risk it).
