Perfect location for walk, ability of attractions and transportation, such as the train and bus system. Very quiet all times of the day and night, and a cute little café attached to the lobby. The staff was very knowledgeable, speaking several languages and able to provide assistance when looking for things like a pharmacy or grocery.

As the Solo traveler that I am, the location was perfect. I was within walking distance of Darling Harbour, lots of eateries, even familiar ones such as Subway and KFC, attractions like the wax museum, sea life center and aquarium, and the train and bus transportation system. For those of you who are from the United States, you won’t believe what they have… A fabulous Woolworth store three blocks away. The hotel is still in the process of some renovations however it is very comfortable and very quiet.

The front desk staff, including Miss Anne a housekeeper were knowledgeable, informative, professional, patient and very pleasant.

The gym was smelly and had no machines, just a couple of noisy treadmills and a few old dumbbells.
Room was noisy and the view was terrible.
Nothing to save here.
Just stay away from this garbage.

The rooms were dirty and very dated. We complained that our room was grubby and in need of a full refurbishment. The staff were friendly and offered us another room but this was equally dated and smelt terrible. We eventually accepted a smaller room with less facilities as it was just bearable. The manager offered us the penthouse suite for our last night, this was a very nice offer but overall, the whole hotel is in need of modernising, I would not recommend anyone to stay here. The staff were patient and accommodating to our complaints.

I am a walker and could walk everywhere I wanted to go: good public transport close by if preferred. I booked three nights ahead of a cruise, the location was more than adequate for Darling Harbour & the Quay, Rocks, Opera House, Botanical Gardens etc.

We got cheap rates (46%off) which made it reasonable but wouldn’t pay full price. It’s clean but a bit tired and aging. The bed was leaning and tilting on one side. Good enough for short stays for sure

The room was straight out of the 60's and tired. Got email from hotel after checking out that hotel was just purchased and needs refurbishing. If that's the case why are you charging full fare. If I order a steak at a restaurant and they run out they don't serve me a hamburger and still charge me the price of the steak. The staff were very friendly and have heard these complaints before. They handled the complaints well.

I experienced a concerning electrical issue in my room that I reported to staff immediately. There was a loud crackling sound coming from the outlet area, which made me worried about a potential electrical hazard or fire risk.

I informed the front desk right away and was told the issue would be taken care of. However, when I returned several hours later, nothing had been addressed and the problem was still occurring. After raising the concern again with the late-night manager and explaining how serious it seemed, an electrician was finally called.

In the meantime, fans were brought to the room as a temporary solution, but they weren’t helpful since the outlets themselves were not working. At one point the manager attempted to troubleshoot the outlet herself using a metal utensil, which was concerning given the situation. I actually had to stop her because it could have been dangerous.

The issue was eventually fixed, but the delay in addressing what seemed like a serious electrical problem made the experience stressful and left me feeling unsafe in the room. I was very close to checking out and finding another hotel because of it.

I was also disappointed with the bathroom setup, as the shower design causes the entire bathroom floor to get wet whenever it’s used.

The location is great, but unfortunately the way this situation was handled really impacted my stay. I hope management takes safety concerns like this more seriously in the future and follows up appropriately.

I seldom wrote hotel review, but I couldn’t helped this times. The hotel was the dirtiest one I ever stayed, worst than a motel on the side of the highway where you stayed for a nite for convenience. Almost everything was broken, the shower & the towel handles came off when you touched them.

We had a couple of unresolved issues which we will deal with when home.
The room was not representative of the pictures, the bed base was torn, side cabinets worn, the gas hob dangerous..too many to mention. It certainly didn't come under the \"premium\" category.
The staff were uninterested, lacking enthusiasm. Bottom line, stay away from this hotel as it is not nice and ruined a part of our holiday because we had to find alternative accommodation. We can recommend 'The Meriton' where we stayed prior to the Yehs and that's where we returned. The two hotels have the same star rating, but are at opposite ends of the scale. Take my advice and say 'NO' to the Yehs because it is a shoddy dump.

Decent hotel. Not exactly a premium room, it was quite dated and not super clean, but did the job. We needed a washer / dryer. One thing to note, they had a gas stove, and it seemed possible that there may have been a small leak since we could smell it in the room but never turned it on. We reported this to the front desk. Staff was helpful and responsive.

Had a really pleasant stay here. The hotel is in a great location about a 5-minute walk to Town Hall station and supermarket, close to tram stops, and surrounded by plenty of places to eat which made everything very convenient.

The room was clean with a great bathroom and a very comfortable bed, perfect after a long day exploring. A special thank you to Hanny and Rich who were both fantastic, friendly, helpful, and made the stay even better. All staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout. Would happily stay again.

Air conditioning control was beside the sofa. The only way to reach it was by standing on the sofa!

The suitcase rack was BEHIND the TV, so it was useless!

The toilet button was loose

The finishes in the room were old and dirty

The air con was making a rattling noise.

The wifi signal for the TV was weak so it was not possible to watch TV

So the hotel was convenient and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our room was average. The one tv would not load channels and work. And the bathroom, well the bathroom was terrible. Black mold everywhere. In the grout all under the sink. The bathroom smelled dirty musty and like mold. Somehow somebody doesn't check theses rooms for mold. It's pretty obvious with white tile. Our room needed a major overhaul to get the mold out.

The cafe attached to the hotel was wonderful and had the best chai latte I’ve ever had. We went there everyday. The hotel is in a wonderful location and I would definitely stay there again.

We were given room on the first floor, which was clean and nice, but was on the first floor above a busy junction and no double glazing, was very noisy, so we asked to move and went to a room on 9th floor which was perfect.
If you are given 105 I suggest you ask for another room if you want to sleep.

the room was dirty and bathroom had black mold and broken/missing floor tiles in the shower. when I asked to be moved I was told that they were at capacity and could not be moved until the next day. very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone.

We had stayed here the week before,so knew the hotel. We liked the location, close to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station and Light Rail. We had a compact room for one night only, fine for one or two nights only. The Cafe on the ground floor does a good breakfast. Free coffee in lobby is a nice touch, but bring your room cups! Would stay again.

The room was quite comfortable. Located just a short walk from everything. Front desk was quite personable and helpful even when incredibly busy. I was \"upgraded\" to a room with a balcony but no patio/balcony furniture. Bed was super comfy. However, furniture and appliances are dated. An update is needed for sure.

This property is poorly maintained. Water is leaking from bath room sink and was fixed. Shower bath body solution is empty. Notify check in reception people, but they never fix the problem for few days. Poor communication from reception people to cleaning people. Will not book this hotel again.

The staff was so courteous, kind, and helpful by calling taxis, suggestions routes, providing maps, and suggestions. Buddhi was especially helpful, when a stolen credit card became a problem.

Brilliant location. Walking distance to Town Hall Station and supermarkets. Close to the main attractions too. Rooms are a bit outdated but it looks like they will revamp them sometime soon because our bathroom was brand new and modern. We requested a couple of things that were missing in our room mainly in the kitchen, and the front desk was very responsive and attended to our needs promptly. They even replaced our safe that was broken. I would stay with them again but I would check first if the rooms have been renovated. The coffee shop downstairs was great too. Friendly staff and delicious food.

Room was clean and all amenities available. Rooms were serviced daily and was much appreciated. Staff were friendly and accommodating. As well this hotel sits in a prime location and is a great base to Darling Harbour as well as bus, trains and trams. Was a great spot to stay with my young daughter. The added benefit of a pool on site was great and allowed us to have some downtime without having to brave the heat. All up really enjoyed my stay. Was good value for money.

Issues when checking in as they wanted to overcharge above what the booking invoice was stating.
Room wasn’t ready on time.
The security deposit has not been released yet.
Not to mention hospital looking bathroom with a toilet seat missing the cover and no hand wash soap or other amenities available.
Staff was poorly communicating and has made our checking process frustrating and lengthy. The check in issue was rectified only after my call to Expedia that contacted the hotel

The room was okay. We stayed for two nights to help with jet lag after a 15 hour flight to Sydney. Unfortunately, the room was considerably out of date for what we paid to stay here. The AC and power didn’t work unless you left a key card in a little receptacle in your room. The bathroom and bedroom had a weird smell, and the room wasn’t the cleanest. The staff and location, however, were impeccable. Quite frankly, the one reason it’s rated this high.
