Very unique hotel in the middle of the jungle which offers a very different kind of experience. The only downside was the sea in front of the beach was swallow and during low tide it became only knee high. Not very suitable for swimming.

This is the place to stay at if you’re ever visiting Phi Phi Island’s quiet beaches. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in hotels. Everything about this hotel is amazing. Attention to detail is top notch. Recommend for anyone wants to avoid busy Tonsai Bay and have an amazing few days.

Even before you arrive, the ENTIRE staff at Zeavola go above and beyond to make your experience incredible. Before even arriving, I contacted them about booking a private boat to the resort since my flight would be arriving after any potential shuttle could bring us to the resort. I also decided to upgrade my room to a Pool Villa Suite. The entire process was quick and easy via email, even with an 11 hour time difference. The day before, our flight was delayed and we were forced to take a different connecting flight the next morning. We arrived about 3 hours later than expected but the driver was still patiently waiting for us at the airport.

Upon arrival, we were greeted in style. We did part of the check in at the marina so check-in took less than 5 minutes. We were walked to our room with a very friendly young lady. She showed us everything throughout the room. The view was outstanding! Nothing like being virtually in the trees and looking out to paradise! Room was extremely clean. Daily cleaning and turn down service by the friendliest people you will ever meet. They are doing some work on trimming the trees to make the views even more spectacular!

Now for the best part!

The staff. Every day from the time we woke up until the time we went to bed. They were all super friendly, accommodating, humerus, loved working with each other and always went above and beyond to make our stay, out of this world! True relaxation in paradise!!!! We absolutely loved our time here on Phi Phi Island and at Zeavola! The staff were lovely and gracious! We can’t wait to take another vacation here. Especially wonderful for couples. There are trees planted in honor of couples who marry here. Neat to see how large some of those trees have become! The resort was quite peaceful and not crowded. Each couple has their own private villa/ bungalow. The food was amazing! Wonderful chef!

Fabulous low key resort on a small beach with a few other hotels and casual restaurants.
Zeavola was great from the marina check in to the van drop off at the airport.
We did a private 4 person speed boat day trip which included the best snorkeling we have seen.
The resort is small but perfect for what we were looking for.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zeavola, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, the surroundings were simply enchanting. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, providing impeccable service with genuine warmth and hospitality. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my honeymoon. Breakfast was a culinary delight, offering a delectable array of dishes that tantalized the taste buds. I ordered room service for two nights in a row and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the food. Just keep in mind that access is only by boat and you are a bit far from Tonsai pier. Overall, my experience at Zeavola was amazing, and my husband and I have plans to go back again.

Truly one of a kind - well worth it!

Amazing, one of a kind place to stay. Far from the overly touristic part of Phi Phi island, this beachside resort really made us feeling like we were staying in paradise. Their no sandal policy meant that you can walk around barefoot, a truly liberating experience that makes you feel in one with the environment.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange exclusion boat tour around the islands and handled the transfer to and off the island even though we did not use their private boat service.

The food is simply amazing. The breakfast buffet has great variety - including a selection of different sets you can order, from a full English to a Thai platter. They had different menus for lunch and dinner - when we were there we were lucky to have the seafood BBQ which were so fresh and delicious!

If you want the experience of living ‘off grid’ then this is the place for you. Perhaps I stayed in the wrong hotel for what I wanted but it was almost like ‘glamping’ to use a uk term. In that it was open to the elements and didn’t feel like a proper hotel room. Especially for the price. I stayed in the six senses in Koh Samui and it is virtually identical on its layout and design. I’m sorry but it’s not for me at all with all the mosquitoes and bugs and I shan’t be coming back. The staff however were great.

This is my favorite resort I’ve ever stayed at. The location and accommodations are beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. They also provide add ons which are amazing, the spa experience was very nice, and the staff took us by long tail boat to a number of different places around the island to explore. We will come back for sure the next time we are visiting Phi Phi Don!

Beautiful place and top notch staff. Turn down service left dirty sheets on bed \"mosquito trauma\" and had to strip my own bed to get fresh ones. Mosquito spraying three times a week by poor staff member with no PPE. Gorgeous otherwise and staff attentiveness was very good.

Great stay from arrival to departure. We were nicely welcomed at the Royal Phuket Marina by David, the lovely front of the house manager. Check-in was done at the Marina, very smooth, and we got our room straight away upon arrival on the island. Everything is perfectly organised, the hotel staff is extremely nice, efficient and very helpful. We were upgraded to a Garden room nestled in the jungle up the hill, which was very spacious and quiet, we enjoyed it a lot. Gabby the activities manager was also very attentive to our needs and made plenty of valuable recommendations throughout our
stay ;-) ! We really recommend Zeavola to people who want to relax in a small, beautiful place, barefooted in the sand.

This place was not what we were expecting. There was blood on the comforter, the doors were locked with padlocks and didn’t feel safe, the a/c didn’t work at night, the bathroom was an outhouse. Not what we expected. We didn’t stay our second night because we couldn’t handle staying here any longer.

Zeavola is a tranquil and beautiful retreat. The amenities are good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in helping us to celebrate our birthdays. The location is very remote and secluded so be prepared to deal with bugs and insects. In saying this, the hotel was quite proactive with dealing with insects such as the mosquitoes. One really disappointing factor was the way the reception staff dealt with my queries regarding an upgrade. Despite the hotel being relatively quiet owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, the staff refused to price match the quotes found with my same booking agent for slightly bigger accomodation. Further, in arranging our transfers, the hotel (despite numerous email exchanges) failed to inform us that the closest pier to their hotel was Laem Tong (as opposed to Tonsai Pier). If the agent whom we booked our ferries through did not inform us of this, we would have incurred additional costs for transfers from Tonsai, when Laem Tong is literally at the back of their hotel. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

We could not recommend this place highly enough! We stayed there for five days and it was five days in paradise. The rooms where lovely and you had lots of privacy. Everything has been thought of by the resort - including a tap for safe drinking water. The beach is beautifully maintained and the restaurant looks out onto the sea with a spectacular view of the moon. The food was excellent as was the food down the beach at local restaurants. It was quiet and relaxing, not a party location but a place for relaxing and exploring the gorgeous nature Phi Phi has to offer.
There are a lot of bugs which didn’t bother us in the slightest we enjoyed watching the dragonflies and other creatures. Would recommend!

There was nothing we didn't love about this hotel. The attention to detail was meticulous, the staff were lovely and really attentive. We stayed in a Village Suite room which was more than adequate for our needs, really clean and a fabulous
comfortable bed. Breakfast was a triumph in every way with so much choice. Meals served at lunch and dinner were excellent too. Spa was a lovely experience and the dive shop was slick and professional.

A completely unique experience

Zeavola far exceeded my expectations! I read every review before booking and here’s the skinny:
1. The hotel is mainly outdoors- with lush plants and beautiful trees. Feels like you’re submerged in a Thai jungle! Only have AC in your room - depending on the time of year, can get pretty sticky! 100% worth the experience thou.
2. UPGRADE YOURSELF TO THE POOL VILLA. Extra stairs but you have your own marble pool and tree top views of the sunset! There’s actually a ‘living room’ by the pool which is basically an extra room with a queen bed- could be used for older kids?
3. Lots of reviews mentioned bugs- a total non issue for us. Saw some lizards on our walks but nothing in the room.
4. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind. Knew us by face and remembered our room number.
5. Always felt safe here. Had no problem leaving our phones on our chairs while we took a dip in the ocean
6. Only request would be that there be a mirror in the bedroom - showering in non-AC was fine but wanted to get ready in cooled air.
7. Every meal we had here was wonderful. There’s a strip of restaurants and a small market for snacks down the beach
8. Cost about 1000bhat to get to T pier by long tail boat. We booked a private speed boat to pick us up from the airport and take us directly to the resort - cheaper than using the hotels service.

So peaceful. We travel a lot and I highly recommend Zeavola. It’s a place like no other and we enjoyed every minute of our time there!!!

Best staff! Everyone is well trained with a big smile. The hotel is very environmentally responsible. There are bugs and tropical creatures OUTSIDE your room which comes with being in the tropics. I recommend you bring DEET for the mosquitoes when you are outside (i.e. dinner time, there are no indoor restaurants at the hotel or close by). The food is amazing. I highly recommend this property.

Love the setting in lush gardens by a beautiful beach and turquoise sea, the villas with open-plan, A/C and al-fresco shower, the quality of breakfast and access to gym and snorkelling equipment.
Need to tighten up level of staff service at breakfast and dinner - generally friendly with a couple of exceptions (for better and worse), but we had a poor meal one evening when it seemed that all the main chefs were occupied supervising the Asian Buffet.

This property its beautiful. We loved having the outdoor shower and rest area. Bedrooms are really comfortable and we never felt unsafe. Staff is super friendly but sometimes service can be slow. Breakfast and lunch was delicious. You will encounter a lot of bugs in the sandy hallways but it didn't bother us knowing we where in an island. The hotel is not modern but it is very clean and comfortable.

Great stay at the Zeavola resort. There were some minor issues which were sorted out very quickly and well. We had called up the resort to send someone at the pier but there was no one there. We arrived at the reception at the time of check in i.e. 2pm and were told that the room will take another hour to be ready. On protesting they thankfully gave us another room which was an upgrade so that ended well. The resort is beautiful the beach is great and the restaurant serves great food.

The day trips via long boat snorkeling around phi phi were great and totally worth it. However, we has to kill two roaches and we had to remove at least 15 centipedes from our room. They were seriously everywhere.

Music was very loud from the bar area at night, and it could be heard from the room. We also had a frustrating interaction with staff. Food was pricey and disappointing, and there was a lack of electrical outlets in the rooms. Getting to the resort is very tricky and expensive as it is on the opposite side of the island from where most of the ferries will take you, and there are no roads.

Without warning, we were caught in a massive cloud of fumigation while we were swimming in the pool. We watched pool goes flee from the area but there was no where to go. It was very difficult to breath and kind of scary to be honest.

Overall, I think this resort is extremely overrated and expensive. You can do much better for the money. We stayed at the Santhiya Resort in Koh Phangan the following nights and literally none of these issues.

The property was truly amazing. Great, secluded beach, luxury island accommodations, etc. The one thing I would recommend is that they should offer easy boat shuttles to other parts of the island, specifically center Phi Phi as there are no roads or ways to get there other than by boat. At the moment they offer you the option to reserve a shuttle boat, but at an expensive rate. And if you stay in the resort (which is totally an option) it does limit you to their restaurants only. The other sides of Phi Phi also have more exciting things going on in the night as well. Other than that, it is probably the best hotel/resort on the island.

Zeavola was amazing, room was exactly what you’d expect to experience in Thailand, rustic and simple but having all of the amenities you’d need to feel like you’re in a luxury resort. Staff was friendly and helpful and the food was incredible. We just got home yesterday and already are in Thailand withdrawal. Hopefully someday we’ll be able to get back. The hotel design, location and service is absolutely incredible. This place is really unique. Plants and insects etc all around so be prepared to embrace nature. Majority of guests were couples on honeymoon which we didnt know about and the activities were a lot more limited than we were hoping for. Little to no group tours, spa under renovation and no resort type activities so keep in mind it’s really quiet. we did diving with Eduardo - He was really nice and reliable. Food is really good too, but a lot more expensive than closeby alternatives. Phuket- Hotel speedboat ride was bumpy due to weather. Would certainly recommend this place for couples who want to go on a romantic break.

The only points that i was not amazed by were the pool (we feelt to close to poeple around it, lack of place ) the lack of privacy in the rooms (but should be fine when the vegetation will grow) and all the boats around the beach resort (but the beach front the resort is boat free and private).

Rustic lodging with modern conveniences

If you want peace and quiet and limited interactions, this is the place. Don’t expect luxury or your classic 5 starctreatment as the lodging is cabin like and glamping environment. It is hot, air con can only stay on when you are in the room. Outdoor living area is serene and lovely but do remember your bug deterrence! Overall lovely restful experience with low key attire and no shoes.

Zeavola is absolutely Amazing. The service is the best. The staff is really attentive and extremely friendly. Loved this hotel and cannot wait to come back. The beach is clean and beautiful.

Nice property, good food, bring bug spray.

Hotel arranged for transportation from Tonsai Pier. Greeted by staff upon arrival and were taken to our bungalow. Original room was nice but lacked privacy. We changed our room but then the new room did not have any sheer curtains therefore room was constantly dark - gave up in changing rooms again.

Quite the hike if you want to go to Tonsai and would not recommend it at night. The taxi boats have different rates during specific hours therefore it is “expensive” to travel there and back ( approx 1-1,200baht one way, 2,000 return)

Every thing in this hotel is triple expensive than others, and the five stars hotel not even provide us toothbrushes and shaving blade every day which it’s basis included service in some 3 stars hotels. Every thing in the hotel is over priced, location isn’t convenient and beach conditions is almost the same as most 3 or 4 stars hotels on phi phi. I don’t understand what’s the reason they charge everything much more than others? Over all it’s a nice resort but def not gonna come back for next time.

Our bathroom was a trip hazard.as water from shower soaked the bathroom floor (no shower curtain). The shower water was either piping hot or cold. No medium. The service was awful. We sat on loungers in front of the bar/restaurant in mid 90s temps all day and not once did a server ask if we wanted anything so we went down the beach to another restaurant. Constant boat traffic and tractors on the beach made for a noisy, stinky beach experience. The pool was not user friendly i.e. no towels, burning hot deck, no attendant. Would definitively not stay here again.

A very nice resort in a great location.

Very clean and great location. It’s a beautiful little rooms with small patios. We had a great time there. The tour to Maya Beach was great and easily worth the money. The ferry from Phuket makes two stops on the island of Ko Phi Phi. The first is the main town on the island and the second is Zeavolas area. We didn’t know that on the way there and took a water taxi for a lot more money(relatively everything is cheap in Thailand). Do bring bug spray. No matter where you go on the island there will be mosquitoes around. Nothing crazy just nature.

Perfect Hotel

This Hotel is absolutely wonderful. Our room made me feel in the tree house. The Food is amazing. The room is very confortable and clean. The beach in front of the hotel is perfect, turquoise water and white sand. The hotel lends snorkel and kayaks. A few meters from the beach has a great place to snorkel, you can go alone swimming. I can't wait for go back.

Phenomenal luxury honeymoon experience. Would recommend to any couple visiting Ko Phi Phi with hopes to escape the party scene in the center of the island. Some have commented that the value is poor, but in my opinion it’s worth every penny. Prices for everything are on par with a solid US hotel (not normal Thai prices), but experience is 5 star and you would pay 3x the price for the same luxury in the states.

Excellent Stay at Zeavola

My friend and I were very impressed with Zeavola Resort. The attention to service really made our stay an excellent experience.

We booked transfer from Phuket airport through them and felt it was worth the price as we preferred the 1 hour speedboat over the 3 hour public ferry. Be aware that the speedboat does not leave the marina until around 2pm so if you arrive early to Phuket you will have to wait. However the marina restaurant/lounge you wait in is pretty comfortable and they offer a complimentary beverage and snack. Additional food can be purchased from the restaurant.

Mr Sek met us at the marina and went over details about the resort itself as well as tour offerings. His friendly and outgoing demeanor really set the tone for our stay.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were upgraded to a pool villa suite up on the hillside. Lovely views, especially at sunrise, and our own private pool. There a number of stairs so if stairs are an issue I would suggest a different room type. The staff helped us with our luggage checking in and checking out which was a great help.

There are mosquitoes. The resort does make every effort to repel mosqitoes, including turning down the bed to set up the mosquito net for when you sleep at night.

After checking out, we took the public ferry to Tonsai Pier/Phi Phi town to catch another ferry to Railay. They had a hotel staff member walk us to the ferry and help load and unload our luggage.

Excellent Hotel

The Hotel it self is wonderfull and one of the best Hotel experinence I had.
The only issue is related with the noise on the beach, provocaded by the many excursions (spead boats) that are made to the island. The Boat and Tractor noise is terrible. Even by conservation reasons, it shouldn'y be allowed so many excursions to the beach. A limited number of boats/people per day should be implemented
