This is absolutely one of the worst places to vacation in Antigua, after staying in many other resorts in Antigua, this is by far the worst.
The staff is very unprofessional and unfriendly. The food is the worst I have ever seen. We literally went out to dinner every night after the first night, even though it’s supposed to be an all inclusive. It was so bad.
Their very limited dinner menu has mostly pork and if you want to eat lobster or steak it’s an extra charge. My wife ordered the steak and she said it tasted like dried out rubber.
When we arrived at the resort, we sat at the dock to have a drink, and we were fumigated with mosquito spray and even got into our drinks. After numerous complaints to the management and asking them for a copy of the ingredient list of the spray to see if they poisoned us, they refused to give it to us and told us to call the central Board of Health.
I called the Central Board of Health and they gave me the runaround and basically refused to give us any information about what mosquito spray was approved. Basically this country is corrupt. The people are corrupt. Nobody accepts any responsibility.
I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

My stayed at non such was good. The room was nicely decorated and the resort was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and service was in a timely manner. This resort was is for relaxing there's absolutely no activities or night life. Also, this resort is about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The food was ok, the drinks were good. While the resort is small there's no transportation from check-in to your room with your luggage. While the room is nice there were some cons such as no dresser drawer for your clothes, phone and tv didn't work. No ice machine on the resort, so your only option was to walk to the bar with your ice bucket. One of the biggest issue is being provided two bottles of water, but then having to refill your bottles in the main lobby. The afternoon snack doesn't live up to resort status. For the cost of this resort they can provide more for customers.

The room was very clean and beautiful. It was a smaller resort but the staff where incredibly friendly and always smiling and saying good morning. The meals were from a set menu, but even as a picky eater I was always impressed and left full. The bartenders were personable and always willing to make new drinks. There is no direct beach access, but a quick boat ride from the dock or a 15 minute walk would get you to a very quite beach. We planned to eat at Breeze resteraunt and have a drink overlooking the ocean but found out after we walked there is was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would definitely recommend this resort for relaxing and recharging.

We spent our honeymoon at Escape at Nonsuch Bay in Antigua and Barbuda, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The location is incredible — we had a bay view, and waking up every morning to such a breathtaking panorama was unforgettable. The view is stunning all day long, especially from the private plunge pool in the villa. The room itself was extremely comfortable and beautifully maintained.

The staff were outstanding — from the kitchen team to the restaurant service, front desk, and housekeeping. Everyone was professional, kind, and attentive. The services offered are excellent and truly enhance the experience.

We also did the turtle tour with Dave, which was amazing — we saw so many turtles around Green Island. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.

If you have the chance, like we did, rent a car — it’s very affordable and allows you to explore the whole island in just one day.

I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to disconnect and relax, surrounded by beautiful mangroves and peaceful nature. A truly unforgettable experience that will always stay in our hearts.

The Escape at Nunsuch Bay is the ideal location for rest and relaxation. It is remotely located to experience the beauty of the bay from your stunning plunge pool, patio, or tub. Book the premium suite or you'll be relegated to staring at a 'garden view' which is essentially a bunch of trees. Things to consider are:

1. You are a bit away from any larger beaches. The beach close to the resort is quaint, private, and shared with a neighbouring property. It's quite a hike if you want to walk but the resort does offer a water taxi. There is no beach at the resort. You will need to rent a vehicle if you want to experience the island or explore other offerings including groceries / snacks.

2. Food choices are limited albeit for the most part very decent meals. Breakfast was repetitive, lunch we chose to eat off resort, and dinner had few selections with options that were 'extra' should you choose the selection of two items that remained the same all week.

3. Pack snacks and necessities or purchase them prior to arriving at the resort as there are no grocery stores nearby. There are two large grocery stores a short drive from the aiport.

4. Some of the staff are unpleasant. It was as if we were intruding on them instead of being accommodating. Staff are also not available after 8pm which raised concerns on who you contact in the event of an emergency or issues that may arise.

5. Room service is available every other day. Towels, and proper cleaning are sparse.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this trip. The room and resort were beautiful, the grounds were nicely kept, the food was delicious, everyone was kind. Disclaimer: this is a peaceful environment to RELAX. If you’re looking for a party place where you’re drinking by 8am and eating till you’re sick this is not the place for you. Meals are at scheduled times from 7am to 10pm and follow a restaurant menu style; not a buffet. I never felt like I didn’t have enough to eat. There are daily boat shuttles that take you to and from the beach. It is about a 10 minute walk mostly uphill should you choose. I am young and fit. If you do not identify with those words please wait for the shuttle and spare the staff your complaints. The beaches were clean and swimmable and I did not notice any seaweed issues. You can also swim right off of the dock of the resort. They offer shuttle services for nearby activities and can also schedule you a private shuttle if you want to go off on your own. I would definitely come back.

We were unable to reach our destination because all flights from the United States to the Caribbean were canceled following U.S. military action in Venezuela and the capture of its leader and his wife. This was a completely uncontrollable, force-majeure situation. We attempted multiple times to contact the hotel to cancel our reservation, but our request was denied and we were told no refund would be issued.

The lack of flexibility and basic customer support in response to an act-of-God event is extremely disappointing. It is pathetic how such money hungry individuals would take this approach rather than showing understanding or encouraging future business, the hotel chose a rigid, money-driven approach. We will never consider booking with this hotel again and strongly advise others to do the same.

Given this experience, we can only imagine how issues would have been handled had we actually arrived at the resort.

The property was very nice overall. We would have appreciated better transportation options to allow us to go off campus at times. The gentleman who provided boat transportation to and from the beach was extremely kind and personable. The young lady at the front desk was also very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about Antigua.

It would have been nice to have more snack options and menu variety, as well as the ability to grab food to go when we didn’t want to dine out. The pool was colder than expected—we would have preferred it to be a bit warmer.

We really enjoyed the dock, especially being able to walk out at night, and the kayaks were a great amenity. The side beach was still swimmable; while the seaweed was a bit annoying at times, it was still beautiful and easy to find good spots in the water. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Small quiet resort. Staff was amazing and friendly. The staff created a personal experience by seeing the same staff members daily. Food was good and didn't have complaints. Room was clean and no issues. The resort needs to be more clear that they are more conscious of plastic waste. So you only get two water bottles in your room that you have to go to the main lobby to fill with filtered water if you're out. Mini fridge only had a bottle of champagne and was not stocked with beers or sodas. Not an issue on our stay as we brought refillable metal water bottles. They only have two kayaks and no paddle boards. So we did not utilize the kayaks out in the bay as most the time there was only a single kayak left for the two of us. So maybe next time. Overall for a quiet relaxing resort we look forward to coming back.

We had a wonderful stay and found the hotel to be incredibly relaxing from the moment we arrived. The surroundings are peaceful and beautifully kept, making it an ideal place to truly unwind. The staff were lovely and welcoming throughout our stay, always attentive and friendly.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the private pool was absolutely fantastic — a real highlight and perfect for relaxing in complete privacy. The hotel and gardens are clearly very well maintained, which adds to the overall sense of calm and quality.

The meals were nice and well prepared; however, we would have loved to see a few more local Caribbean dishes on the menu to really reflect the destination.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to take a few days off to “pull the plug,” relax, and recharge. It’s perfect for downtime, after which it would be easy to combine with stays elsewhere for beaches and more activities.

My dishes in the room were dirty. Also, the food was just OK. Overall, I would give it a 7/10. Still had a good time, but it could’ve been better. This was our second stay at this resort. The property changed hands in the meantime. The new management reduce the manpower, the food offering and the overall maintenance. Unfortunately in doing so, this resort which is located in a beautiful area is only gonna fall further behind. Slowly, the resort is falling behind in many ways. While it is still good, it is not where it once was only a few months ago. We first came to this resort in March 2024. Some of the staff are still outstanding but others are new. There are more mosquitoes around and I wonder if fumigation is still done regularly. All in all, this resort is still good but it is certainly not excellent as it once was indeed. We will not go back to this resort unfortunately. Thank you.

This room with the attached pool and daybed was what we were looking for. My wife enjoyed the use of the outdoor tub the most. Other hotels on the island lacked these amenities, this is why we chose this hotel for our stay. The room was immaculately clean, this includes the bed, sheets, shower, and toilets.

Restaurant service and food quality left something to be desired. The restaurant staff seemed unprepared at times and unorganized at others. The lone restaurant serves all 3 meals, breakfast options are the same each day with a different special each day.

The food quality was sub-par to what I am accustomed to/expect for the price point. I don't advise getting any of the food centered add-ons (floating breakfast, sushi, etc), until someone else can affirm the food gets better.

On our last night we decided to get the steak regardless of the added surcharge and it was very disappointing. It was the cheapest and thinnest cut of meat and was woefully overcooked. Your experience may be different, hopefully.

I advise getting to the allocated meal hours early as possible, that's when we got the best service.

We did the \"Blissful Escape\" couples massage - I enjoyed my session (Shout out to Nadia), my wife who's accustomed to getting massages at the spa wasn't all that impressed. It comes down to personal preference and the masseuse you get/request.

If you're driving there's ample parking, your vehicle and belongings are safe as it is a gated access with 24hr security.

Pros: Nonsuch Bay is a retreat for nature lovers and persons, wanting peace and quiet. The rooms were beautiful, impeccable and very clean. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The food was delicious. Cons: front desk is not 24 hours. There is no room service and you couldn’t bring food back to your room. The food quantity was very small (European sizes). I personally didn’t have a problem with the serving sizes, but other persons in my party left feeling unsatisfied.There is no nightlife entertainment except a small bar. Parking was limited. We were given 2 water bottles. I know it’s a clean resort and I understand that, but if we wanted more water, we had to keep going to reception to get water from a water cooler or you can buy your own case of water at the store (was irritating to keep going back and forth to get water). If anybody ever watched a British show called (Death in Paradise) that is what Nonsuch Bay reminds me of that TV show. If You Know, You Know!!! From that aspect I loved the resort; because I love that show, so much. Needs more Nightlife Entertainment, Activities, Room Service. I came to the conclusion that this Resort is owned by persons from the U.K. Don’t take my word for it, Try it out for yourself!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Escape at Nonsuch Bay! The rooms are even better in person than in the photos and very private and romantic. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They even made vegan options at every meal for myself and my husband. This felt more like a boutique hotel than an all inclusive which was perfect for us. It's in a more remote part of the island so be prepared to take taxis or rent a car if you want to explore. Parking is available and the concierge was very helpful with arranging taxis and other excursions.

Maintenance was lacking, view from lower level garden room had poor landscaping, not a lot of nice plants, could see random pipes, people doing things (so wasn't private), staff was not friendly and acted like we were bothering them. No smiles from staff, except from one male bartender that was nice. Food lacked variety (only two choices for dinner starter and mains). Food lacked quality (chicken option was two small chicken only skewers, a little rice that was not good and some odd tasting vegetable garnish. Coke and Diet Coke didn't taste like Coke and Diet Coke. Female bartender would put a small amount of the drink she was making into her palm and then lick it to taste it, then not wash her hand and serve the drinks, but they still didn't taste good. Some seating cushions were torn and old. No beach on-site, but there was boat service to a location that had a beach. Room had no door for the shower but had a shower door for the toilet. TV would not play any shows, so just read my book. Plunge pool was crazy cold so couldn't use it, probably because no sun hit the water. Some weird moist film under the plunge pool pad. No signage at the gate to tell you that you were at the right place. You had to walk down stairs to see the room numbers of the lower rooms. Good thing I got the room half price on Hotels.com, or I would be really disappointed, I know now why they were half price. Not sure how this place gets decent reviews, it was sad.

No more of welcome rum punch for arriving guests. It is advertised at resort website.
No more bell boy or any person to help carry luggage to the rooms.
Room cleaning every other day by resort new rules.
Room mini bar has only beer and sodas. Resort charges for any replacement even club soda.
The biggest down of the resort is closing beach bar. It is also advertised in the web site as open amenity.
Food is tasty but choices are narrowed mostly to fish and chicken.

We had a fantastic relaxing stay at the escape. It’s such a relaxing place and you really do feel chilled.
The chefs really do deserve praise, we never had a bad meal. Ingredients are fresh and we honestly can’t fault it.
Portion sizes are spot on.
The Antiguan breakfast should be offered more regularly than just once a week.
The waiting staff are a credit to you especially Maxine, Maudrina and Charles on the bar.
The island picnic is a must it’s amazing.

We did try the steak & lobster (only half a lobster is what you are served) one evening which you do incur a surcharge for.
We didn’t mind paying this as we had supposedly got 20% off food with our VIP EXPEDIA Perk.
Sadly this was not the case when the bill was queried on the day before we left.
We were informed that it was only on the food experiences that you can have in your room. Which we found incredibly strange as you would think it would be off the menu in the restaurant! Sadly this did get our backs up. When it was mentioned to Randy that this should have been mentioned before.
We felt it was brushed over and that’s how it is.
We did enjoy having a spa treatment each and that was also very relaxing. Again we did have to flag up the 20% off spa treatments which was included in our stay luckily there was no arguments on this one.
We did seem to have the garden room that was next to where the staff seem to go in and out of a lot. Which can be quite noisy.

Our room was on the bottom floor so we didn’t get the scenic view of the water like we would’ve liked but the room was still great. The cleaning staff was very nice and the pool was so nice and clean and very warm. The biggest downside was the seating in the dining area. The seats were not made for larger people and it made it for a very uncomfortable time trying to enjoy your meal. I think they should provide seating options with no arms for those on the larger side.

We came to Antigua to celebrate my birthday and stayed here for the week. The dock was probably the only thing worth raving about as it had a nice view of the bay.

The resort is very far and tucked away. If you want seclusion, complete silence and darkness by 8pm, this is the place for you. There is nothing, absolutely nothing to do in this area past sunset.

Their pool closes at 6pm and their bar is supposed to be open at 10am but there’s usually no one there. The front desk staff are no where to be found when you need them (we couldn’t even check out since no one would be in until 9am) we used the same wet beach towels for days because they “ran out” and I personally feel beach towels should be something you always have stocked given that you are a beach resort? There is no room service. And they give you one bottle of water during your entire stay, in which they ask you to keep and refill at the lobby. The food was okay. You had to make reservations every morning for lunch and dinner otherwise, you wouldn’t eat. There were a lot of ants in our bed and I was bitten up every night. One of their kayaks has a hole in it so be careful if you use one. Luckily we didn’t sink in the middle of the ocean.

Overall, the staff were unhelpful and unpleasant. Everyone acted like we were a bother and the only person that ever smiled and had a good attitude was Maxine. For the amount money that we paid to stay at this “all inclusive” resort, it was not worth it at all. Wouldn’t recommend

We did feel like it was slightly inconvenient that there was not always someone at the front desk. We had to find someone a couple of times.

Overall, it was an excellent experience and we would recommend to anyone!

The room was lovely, however they only did housekeeping every other day. Towels were limited because of this. Food was limited and menu was limited for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you missed any of the times to eat you would not be able to eat as the place is very secluded and there was no way of traveling out unless you booked a taxi 24hrs before. The staff was pleasant but could be more hospitable and helpful. If you asked questions the answers were very limited and didn’t really help much. Another issue was that the concierge service was only available for certain hours. If you had a question or perhaps emergency past 5pm you won’t find anyone to answer questions. Overall views were beautiful and pool attached to the room was very nice.

The resort is very bland. For an all inclusive, it’s too limited. Bar & food ends at 9pm, forcing everyone to go to their rooms early since there’s nothing else to do. Definitely needs more staff members working different positions and not have waiters busy moving around from bar to food. The pool there was clean the first night but then realized they did not clean
It for the rest of the weekend every morning like they should. Place has potential but it’s very restricted. Needs activities and to loosen up their time with the bar and restaurants. The menu also needs to have little more options.

The room was exactly what was advertised. General place was clean and staff was friendly. However, for it being a high end all inclusive stay, the service was very poor. The staff was slow and seemed a bit disorganised at times. Out of our 5 day stay, we took between half hour and 45 mins to get our breakfast after we put in the order. The desserts were ok but were defintely not fresh. There were limited variety of food offered for lunch and dinner but the food that was offered was amazing. There was one waitress in particular who always served us with a smile, was kind and kept checking on us for drinks and to make sure we were good, Shanea, she was very nice. She was also the only one who did that for us. Overall it was an okay stay but when you think of an all inclusive you expect certain standards that just was not entirely met. Also, parking was a bit difficult and limited since they had a small area that was kind of close to the rooms (but was still a bit of a distance depending on which room you were at) that could have parked maybe 6 vehicles. A larger parkinf area was available but was a long walk to the rooms.

We loved the lush and beautiful surroundings. The staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. The view from the room was amazing. We loved the private plunge pool. Meal selections were delicious.

Only complaint is that we found many little gnat-like bugs all over our bedding and our room on a few days, after the rain.

This hotel is very very beautiful. Very nice staff. The only complaint and it’s a major one is the dining options. You have to eat on a fixed schedule. There isn’t many options when it comes to the food either. The hotel is far from everything so you can’t even walk anywhere or take a taxi to somewhere nearby. I ended up switching hotels for this reason.

Wanted a quiet getaway with my husband, it was good for a long weekend. Room was only cleaned once (they don’t clean daily). For an all inclusive there was no stocked fridge, not even for water. No bathrobes (some rooms had them but not every room), only the top rooms would have them. Not enough bath towels. The food was good and restaurant staff was friendly.

The main lobby could have had a fan…when you are waiting for a ride you are sweating.

What they don’t provide is bottle water, they could have atleast provided 2 bottles per room if they are going to have a water fountain for filling.

The massage service was ok, I’ve had better. The facial didn’t feel anything special either, they used a steamer and it only got half of my face.

Overall, expect this location to be the bare minimum of an all inclusive and pack tons of bug spray because they are everywhere and numerous people we have talked to at the resort got eaten alive.

If you just want to relax this is a perfect choice. I'd give the staff 10 stars, all of them were excellent. Our room was clean and noise free. It was a VERY relaxing experience. We didn't need our room cleaned the whole trip, but the day before our last day we requested a roll of toilet paper through the app and never got a response. The husband had to walk up to the lobby to request it. When it rained it leaked in some areas of the dining area and the mosquitos and birds were TERRIBLE in the dining area, but I'd still return to this resort.
