The rooms amazing, but it’s in the other side of the island, the food was not good at all. And getting a cab to take you off that property was very expensive 120/150 every time I left that resort I will never go back there. No beach just a man made bay that was full of seaweed. Antigua yes I will return, that hotel hell no!!! They need a shuttle bus for there guest to move around for the money ppl spend. Next time staying in the city.

Everything about this stay was outstanding! It was on the quiet side of the island, so very little disturbance. It was a little out of the way, but there were plenty of opportunities for excursions and activities off site, including beach shuttles and BBQ events.

The rooms were exceptional, especially the plunge pool which my wife loved! We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a bay view room, but honestly, I don't think it would have mattered. Great beds, layout and nicely secluded.

The facilities were amazing! Menus daily changing, specials at the bar, friendly, helpful staff, well maintained grounds

Honestly, there is pretty much nothing I can fault with any of our experience!

The staff are incredible - restaurant, Housekeeping, maintenance, front desk! We liked the layout of the room but the resort itself needs renovated. It looks outdated. We did a poolside dinner for 2. It wasn’t private as advertised since anyone could walk by us to use the restroom or sit on the pool deck. The food was good and drinks were top notch. Mosquitos are vicious, and with the breeze you can occasionally smell decaying seaweed.

We were a bit disappointed but any day in paradise is better than a day at work!

Overall really enjoyed our 7 night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Rooms were clean and well maintained, plunge pool was the center piece and did not disappoint. The shower heads were awful with no water pressure. Dining options are extremely limited but that the trade off when you go ultra private like this resort. Our trip was during shoulder season so most everything was minimally maintained, wasn’t an issue for us.

This location is not an adults only it’s for couples. With that said there was no activities. There was very low music at the pool bar which is right next to the restaurant. Therefore the pool closed at 6pm. No local soca music is played when I asked they said it was Management’s decision. The location is off the grid, 45 minutes from the airport and capital. The beach is a man made swamp that is very smelly. However, I must commend some of the beautiful staff there, Sean, Clevon (maintenance), Chefs Dale, Danny and Jones (the food was excellent), restaurant staff Donamarie, Shanea, Enrique, Aisha and Melissa. Manager Cheraine tried but she has a condensing approach. She definitely needs training and needs some people management skills because from the looks of things she had little control over staff under her. The bar staff were exceptional.

The escape was as peaceful and relaxing as advertised. The rooms were very private, and we loved the en-suite pool. Since the property is quite secluded, it’s ideal for couples looking to unwind rather than for those seeking nightlife or lots of activities.
The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and they can help arrange tours and excursions for you. We rented a car and enjoyed exploring Antigua on our own as well. Bring bug repellent, especially for the evenings.
The food was excellent. Portions are on the smaller side, but the staff are happy to bring a second serving. Loved the fruity drinks. Overall, a wonderful couples-only getaway exactly as described.

Definitely a place to go to for 1 on 1 time. The downside was you had to carry luggage to room and the times for food. We had the dinner by the pool but my gf got sick from the steak. Food was very mid but breakfast was the best. Best massage hands down! There are no snacks or room service. Bar closes at 10 so you have to carry everything on a tray back to your room.

This resort is for Honeymooners or really elderly ppl. The rooms are the only selling point. The inroom pool and tub are a very nice touch. There is no nightly entertainment after dinner everyone has no options but to go back to room. The bar closes at 10pm. The 2 bartenders Charles and Kandra were friendly. The Waitress Ivanna and the girl that does not wear a name tag had a attitude non attentive.Asking for water falls on deaf ears. There is only 1 restaurant so if thats the ONLY fops option they service should be better. The Chef is Great food was good. We had a 7pm dinner reservation the mosquitoes were biting and we were eaten alive for an hour only appetizers were delivered and the waitress had an attitude. I inquired if the Kitchen was backed up.. No response. We left at 8pm without getting our entrée.At 8:51pm The Chef called our room to apologize and delivered our dinner to our room.I appreciated that.The Chef did a Great job with the food each night no complaints there. He was annoyed and stated someone should have a said something.. The resort is far from EVERYTHING..It has potential its not Ocean front and there is NO real Beach. Theu shuttle you to a lil bay for 4 hours but its NOTHING to do there was no watersports activities. Taxis are very expensive $100 RT to get to real Beaches. I would recommend nightly entertainment at the main pool and bar open later. Even thou ppl are on vacation not everyone wants to be in bed by 9pm.

Our stay here was extremely disappointing! The one good thing about the resort was the views and the plunge pool. The rooms was not functional, there was no full length mirror, only 2 mirrors on the sink. This is definitely not an all inclusive resort. The fridge was completely empty and they didn't even give you complimentary bottled water. We had to PAY for bottled water. The restaurant timings and options were very limited, staff was not happy if you showed up close to closing and was not accommodating. They ran out of things, which ia crazy given how small the restaurant and resort is. This was definitely not an all inclusive experience. The food options were mediocre in taste as well. We ate out most of the time because of this, spending more to what we paid for an all inclusive experience. I expected to get warm island vibes from the staff but that fell short as well. The front desk was closed after a certain time and there is no way to contact anyone via whats App or any way after either 4:30pm/5:30pm. We weren't even given the option of doing any room service. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and besides them putting happy birthday on the bed there was no additional acknowledgement. They also charge your card the day before you leave without you checking out and they did not give me my expedia perks with the percentages off the spa and food. I asked for a detailed copy of my bill and I haven't gotten it. I would NOT recommend and would NOT stay here again.

Looking for the perfect relaxing getaway? The Escape at Nonsuch Bay is your answer. Clean spacious room with an exceptional view. Staff was accommodating and helpful. There are set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner (you choose the time) and each day the menu changes. Even though the options are limited, the food was delicious. Didn’t have a bad meal the entire stay. Afternoon snacks were good too. Drinks at the bar were on point. Drinks at all inclusive resorts are usually watered down, this isn’t the case at The Escape at Nonsuch Bay. Found that out with the welcoming rum punch. A shuttle runs twice a day to a beach that’s close by. You can walk (10 mins) but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re not in some type of shape. The resort is on the east side of the island and I would recommend a rental car if you’re looking to get out and explore. Having a Netflix account is a plus. The shower water pressure wasn’t the best and the didn’t get hot enough to my liking. Wash cloths had to be delivered to the room. Overall, you can’t go wrong by staying at The Escape at Nonsuch Bay.

We stayed for a total of 3 nights 4 days everything about our stay was enjoyable. All the staff we interacted with was very helpful and friendly even the taxi drivers. I only wish there were more options on the food menu and activities to do since the property is so far away from the city. Overall we were looking for quiet and relaxation and we got it. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. This is just and FYI, I requested for my room on the second level I was told I could not have this because of the pool, but there are rooms with pools on the second levels.

Overall we loved our stay and would like to call out how lovely the majority of the staff were. Shamara initially checked us in and she was super helpful, polite and welcoming. Whislt we were there many of the staff (including Ivanna, Enrique and many others) were always so polite and smiley. It makes such a difference. We had a lovely taxi driver lrganised by the hotel named Michelle, she was great and reccomended lots of sightseeing opportunities/ things to do.
100% would reccomend the tirtle snorkelling at Green Island as tbis was a highlight.
The food options were great and every other night there was entertainment which was nice.

If you’re looking for private, relaxing and intimate vacation, then the Escape at Nunsuch Bay is your place. This was a cute boutique resort. The property was small. There was a general pool, bar area and one restaurant. The beach was a 10-15 minute hike up and down a mountain. The beach was nice but very windy and the water wasn’t conducive to swimming.. a lot of slimy base soil. But the rooms were spacious and private and sea weed. The rooms were as described, each containing a private pool, outdoor tub and sunning area.

Overall this is definitely a no frills resorts. They don’t provide any drinks or snacks in the rooms, other than 2 bottles of water - which you’re told to hold onto to refill at the centralized water cooler. The one restaurant served meals at scheduled times and the food is made to order, based on the limited and daily changing menu.
The staff is very pleasant and helpful. But again, if you’re looking for high energy, this is not your resort. There is no night life, music or entertainment provided onsite.

We absolutely loved the room and its set-up! The resort was very quiet but that is what we signed up for after reading the reviews.

The food was tasty overall but lacked variety, especially for dinner. Afternoon snacks were kind of pitiful. Wednesday BBQ buffet was our favorite- great flavor and options.

Take advantage of the boat ride to green island w Devon. It’s inexpensive and worthwhile just to see the island shortly by boat. When we got to the island we were able to swim w turtles!! Amazing!

The resort is located on a bay in a secluded part of the island, so if you are looking for a place to unwind and lose track of time, you found it. The premium rooms are amazing and the view of the bay is breathtaking. Waking up early everyday to this was worth it. We had a day bed to lounge on next to our plunge pool in the room to relax. The food was great, they have sit down breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Wednesday night is a BBQ buffet for dinner. There are docks that have tables set up to sit on the bay to relax and enjoy the view. The property has a beach and you are 25 minutes from Long Bay beach as well. This does save a trip to the other side of the island. The pool is next to the bar and is perfect to swim and lounge in with chairs on the built in ledge. Everyone is very friendly and ready to help. This a very laid back resort for couples so keep that in mind when booking. We loved it because it got us to slow down and just unwind from our busy work schedules. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely hotel with very nice rooms, comfy and clean. We stayed in the romantic suite which had a lovely view of the trees and out to the lake. The welcome sign on the bed made with bamboo and flowers was a great touch. Very remote but this also means peaceful, and hire cars, tours both private and group are available for fair prices. The food is so good! Although I agree with other reviews that options are limited, I do think there is enough to please all and the quality is definitely there.
Staff overall are lovely - some may come across a little less friendly but not in a bad way, some are super friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Enrique and Maxine who were both so friendly and helpful at all times. Also Micah, Charles, Shanea, Diana and the maintenance guy with dreadlocks were all lovely. We only met her once and didn’t get her name, but the lady at reception who helped with our tour - she is pushing for a porch swing at reception and we agree ;)
Our only real feedback regarding improvement would be having reception open for longer, or someone who can assist properly when closed. It is only open from 9am to 6pm. We had a couple of issues with our room, twice needing maintenance but this couldn’t be resolved until the next morning which meant we didn’t sleep well as there was an issue with noise due to a fault with the pool pump. Overall though we would recommend this hotel.

Me and my partner had a great time staying here. Each room having its own plunge pool was a plus. The rooms were clean and cozy. We had tiny lizard visitor which was cool. The hotel however is very far from everything. We rented a car and traveled to many breaches and the city. The distance also is what made the place special. Very secluded and intimate. So depending on your preference it may or may not work. There were plenty visitors who never left the hotel. We didn’t utilize the public pool but it stayed fairly busy during our stay. The staff was absolutely incredible. Always smiling, always helpful and willing to go out their way every single time. The drinks were good and the lunch and dinner menu changes every single day. You will not eat the same thing twice which is cool but sucks when you have your delicious favorites. Breakfast menu stayed the same with a choice of a daily special. Our room was the very first room (3902) which is the closet to dining and the public pool. What a great plus as well. The only downsides I would say is the choices of alcohol and the bed. I’m not a major drinker but I like certain drinks that weren’t available. However the mixed drinks were really well made. The bed was not the best either. For some reason we tossed and turned all night. A lil firm for my liking. Over all we would definitely come back to Nonsuch. We had a great time and the island is so beautiful. The views are stunning and almost unreal. We loved it very much.

I don’t usually leave reviews. Came in for 5 days we are in are later 30s looking to relax and reset which was nice but there’s literally nothing to do here. Pool is small and everytime we went to the bar no one was there had to wait. Breakfast lunch and dinner were all in the same spot food was okay not many options and not any place to grab snacks or anything mid day. Everytime
We went for lunch and dinner reservations we are waiting to be seated and there’s not enough staff takes forever to get a refill. It’s 45 mins from anything make sure to rent a car because a ride for everything is about 75$. Definitely wouldn’t go back here not even a gym.

The setting at The Escape at Nonsuch Bay is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept, the views are peaceful, and the resort has a very secluded atmosphere for anyone looking to truly disconnect. The suites themselves have lovely features such as the freestanding tub and private plunge pool, which added a nice touch to the stay.

That said, the resort fell short in several areas, especially when it came to comfort, maintenance, dining, and overall hospitality. While some staff members were pleasant, service generally felt minimal rather than attentive. Most interactions felt transactional, and guests often had to initiate greetings or requests first instead of feeling genuinely welcomed.

The beach, about a 10 minute walk away, was clean and relaxing, although there was quite a bit of seaweed during our stay. Since the property is fairly isolated, there are limited activities or alternatives nearby, so the overall resort experience becomes especially important.

The biggest disappointment was the food. Breakfast was consistently the best meal, and the barbecue night was enjoyable, but most other meals arrived cold and lacked flavor. Portions were also extremely small. At the buffet, for example, asking for an additional serving of vegetables felt uncomfortable, as the response from staff made us feel like we were asking for too much. Outside of the scheduled breakfast, lunch, and dinner times, there were no snacks or casual food options available, which made the dining

The staff were so nice and helpful. It’s a small resort and on the other side of the island. If you’re interested in just relaxing and doing absolutely nothing, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you can book tours, experiences, or car rental/service at the front desk for an additional fee. This is a different all inclusive where there isn’t room service or multiple restaurants to choose from. There is one bar and one restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at set times. The food and drinks are good however. It kinda forces you to interact and meet others in the resort. Overall, we met wonderful people from around the world and had a peaceful vacation.

This is a perfect couples retreat and we enjoyed our stay at nonsuch escape so much! The room was very clean and the hotel is extremely tranquil, making spending a lot of time in your private pool so enjoyable. Very hot shower and very cold AC.
The dining area was never crowded and the food was delicious with great variety. I especially love when hotels opt for à la carte rather than buffet, it elevates the experience.
The staff was warm and accommodating with excellent communication and rapid turnaround with any request.
I can’t wait to visit again and will certainly book more nights next time.

We had the most magical time here! It’s very secluded and personal so renting a car was a great idea for us to explore the island but come back to our retreat! Everyone is so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. The food was amazing and the bar was amazing! 100/10 recommend this place to any couple looking for a retreat. I would recommend bringing bug spray you are in the forest but they do spray for bugs often but keeping them completely gone is impossible so having bug spray was very helpful for us.

My wife and I went for a romantic, quiet getaway and we definitely got that and more! What a beautiful place! We really didn’t think we would use the plunge pool as much as we did but it was great. Having the room at the very end helped in our feeling off on our own.

The food was great, lots of variety and different delicious flavours. Some dinners the portions were quite small and the afternoon tea options were kind of laughable with how little variety there was. I would have liked the option to order small simple meals through the in between times.

Staff were very helpful in setting up excursions and answering any of our questions, rooms were neat and tidy.

Overall it was a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a remote, quiet getaway. If you are looking for a bustling, busy resort this one definitely is not for you. But it was perfect for us!

I had a premium suite with a plunge poo l so I did not use the resort pool. I was very happy with my room and the stocked fridge and coffee bar. I did not like the lack of privacy in the bathroom (toilet is part of the room with a frosted glass door that does not reach the ceiling). The food was ok/edible with a few items being delicious. The happy hour snacks were lacking and should have been put in ice. They are so far out of the way of everything, they would benefit financially as well as providing for guests, from having a small convenience store that sells snacks and other needed items. They would also benefit financially and otherwise by having their own shuttle service that also provides service to/from Breeze. We had brunch at Breeze and spent the day at their pool, that was most enjoyable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would stay again and would recommend it.

* Nice weather with lots of sunshine and a good semi private beach.

*Beach bar staff (especially Enrique) were helpful and polite.
NEED TO IMPROVE:
* There were limited choice from Lunch and Dinner menues. Salads need to be provided with much more quantity and in the form of buffet.
* Deserts needs to improve.
* Beach bar provides paninni for lunch and need to improve with fruits and salad.

All of the staff that we met were extremely friendly and professional, however they appear to be severely understaffed. We regularly waited over 45 minutes for meals after ordering, also we caught the boat to the local beach and the bar there was shut due to staff shortages, this meant we spent 3 hours without anything to eat or drink.
The location was very remote, which we knew before we booked. Taxis booked through the hotel were extremely expensive. We hired a car with Pete’s Taxis, excellent service and major savings.

The customer service and support has dropped since last visit 2 years ago. Not recommended for people with disabilities or health and safety issues. For example there is no long road transport to the beach as you now travel by a small boat around the headland and you do not have life vests as the boat is being thrown around in the open ocean even on a calm day with a slight breeze

A lovely tranquil setting with spacious rooms and private terrace with pool. It’s very remote so best to hire a car so you have the flexibility to get out and explore the island. The team are super friendly and efficient and go out of their way to accommodate your requests. The lovely beach is a short walk away and is much nicer to relax at than the pool which can get quite busy.
Where it does not excel is the food as some options were quite bland and portion sizes could be hit and miss (plenty for one meal and rather small for another) with the quality of ingredients not always being that great.
Aside from that we had a great stay and would recommend as long as you book knowing the location and limitations on the food.

This is absolutely one of the worst places to vacation in Antigua, after staying in many other resorts in Antigua, this is by far the worst.
The staff is very unprofessional and unfriendly. The food is the worst I have ever seen. We literally went out to dinner every night after the first night, even though it’s supposed to be an all inclusive. It was so bad.
Their very limited dinner menu has mostly pork and if you want to eat lobster or steak it’s an extra charge. My wife ordered the steak and she said it tasted like dried out rubber.
When we arrived at the resort, we sat at the dock to have a drink, and we were fumigated with mosquito spray and even got into our drinks. After numerous complaints to the management and asking them for a copy of the ingredient list of the spray to see if they poisoned us, they refused to give it to us and told us to call the central Board of Health.
I called the Central Board of Health and they gave me the runaround and basically refused to give us any information about what mosquito spray was approved. Basically this country is corrupt. The people are corrupt. Nobody accepts any responsibility.
I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

My stayed at non such was good. The room was nicely decorated and the resort was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and service was in a timely manner. This resort was is for relaxing there's absolutely no activities or night life. Also, this resort is about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The food was ok, the drinks were good. While the resort is small there's no transportation from check-in to your room with your luggage. While the room is nice there were some cons such as no dresser drawer for your clothes, phone and tv didn't work. No ice machine on the resort, so your only option was to walk to the bar with your ice bucket. One of the biggest issue is being provided two bottles of water, but then having to refill your bottles in the main lobby. The afternoon snack doesn't live up to resort status. For the cost of this resort they can provide more for customers.

The room was very clean and beautiful. It was a smaller resort but the staff where incredibly friendly and always smiling and saying good morning. The meals were from a set menu, but even as a picky eater I was always impressed and left full. The bartenders were personable and always willing to make new drinks. There is no direct beach access, but a quick boat ride from the dock or a 15 minute walk would get you to a very quite beach. We planned to eat at Breeze resteraunt and have a drink overlooking the ocean but found out after we walked there is was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would definitely recommend this resort for relaxing and recharging.

We spent our honeymoon at Escape at Nonsuch Bay in Antigua and Barbuda, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The location is incredible — we had a bay view, and waking up every morning to such a breathtaking panorama was unforgettable. The view is stunning all day long, especially from the private plunge pool in the villa. The room itself was extremely comfortable and beautifully maintained.

The staff were outstanding — from the kitchen team to the restaurant service, front desk, and housekeeping. Everyone was professional, kind, and attentive. The services offered are excellent and truly enhance the experience.

We also did the turtle tour with Dave, which was amazing — we saw so many turtles around Green Island. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.

If you have the chance, like we did, rent a car — it’s very affordable and allows you to explore the whole island in just one day.

I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to disconnect and relax, surrounded by beautiful mangroves and peaceful nature. A truly unforgettable experience that will always stay in our hearts.

The Escape at Nunsuch Bay is the ideal location for rest and relaxation. It is remotely located to experience the beauty of the bay from your stunning plunge pool, patio, or tub. Book the premium suite or you'll be relegated to staring at a 'garden view' which is essentially a bunch of trees. Things to consider are:

1. You are a bit away from any larger beaches. The beach close to the resort is quaint, private, and shared with a neighbouring property. It's quite a hike if you want to walk but the resort does offer a water taxi. There is no beach at the resort. You will need to rent a vehicle if you want to experience the island or explore other offerings including groceries / snacks.

2. Food choices are limited albeit for the most part very decent meals. Breakfast was repetitive, lunch we chose to eat off resort, and dinner had few selections with options that were 'extra' should you choose the selection of two items that remained the same all week.

3. Pack snacks and necessities or purchase them prior to arriving at the resort as there are no grocery stores nearby. There are two large grocery stores a short drive from the aiport.

4. Some of the staff are unpleasant. It was as if we were intruding on them instead of being accommodating. Staff are also not available after 8pm which raised concerns on who you contact in the event of an emergency or issues that may arise.

5. Room service is available every other day. Towels, and proper cleaning are sparse.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this trip. The room and resort were beautiful, the grounds were nicely kept, the food was delicious, everyone was kind. Disclaimer: this is a peaceful environment to RELAX. If you’re looking for a party place where you’re drinking by 8am and eating till you’re sick this is not the place for you. Meals are at scheduled times from 7am to 10pm and follow a restaurant menu style; not a buffet. I never felt like I didn’t have enough to eat. There are daily boat shuttles that take you to and from the beach. It is about a 10 minute walk mostly uphill should you choose. I am young and fit. If you do not identify with those words please wait for the shuttle and spare the staff your complaints. The beaches were clean and swimmable and I did not notice any seaweed issues. You can also swim right off of the dock of the resort. They offer shuttle services for nearby activities and can also schedule you a private shuttle if you want to go off on your own. I would definitely come back.

We were unable to reach our destination because all flights from the United States to the Caribbean were canceled following U.S. military action in Venezuela and the capture of its leader and his wife. This was a completely uncontrollable, force-majeure situation. We attempted multiple times to contact the hotel to cancel our reservation, but our request was denied and we were told no refund would be issued.

The lack of flexibility and basic customer support in response to an act-of-God event is extremely disappointing. It is pathetic how such money hungry individuals would take this approach rather than showing understanding or encouraging future business, the hotel chose a rigid, money-driven approach. We will never consider booking with this hotel again and strongly advise others to do the same.

Given this experience, we can only imagine how issues would have been handled had we actually arrived at the resort.

The property was very nice overall. We would have appreciated better transportation options to allow us to go off campus at times. The gentleman who provided boat transportation to and from the beach was extremely kind and personable. The young lady at the front desk was also very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about Antigua.

It would have been nice to have more snack options and menu variety, as well as the ability to grab food to go when we didn’t want to dine out. The pool was colder than expected—we would have preferred it to be a bit warmer.

We really enjoyed the dock, especially being able to walk out at night, and the kayaks were a great amenity. The side beach was still swimmable; while the seaweed was a bit annoying at times, it was still beautiful and easy to find good spots in the water. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Small quiet resort. Staff was amazing and friendly. The staff created a personal experience by seeing the same staff members daily. Food was good and didn't have complaints. Room was clean and no issues. The resort needs to be more clear that they are more conscious of plastic waste. So you only get two water bottles in your room that you have to go to the main lobby to fill with filtered water if you're out. Mini fridge only had a bottle of champagne and was not stocked with beers or sodas. Not an issue on our stay as we brought refillable metal water bottles. They only have two kayaks and no paddle boards. So we did not utilize the kayaks out in the bay as most the time there was only a single kayak left for the two of us. So maybe next time. Overall for a quiet relaxing resort we look forward to coming back.
