Pools and beach are nice diamond club pool bar Ritchie Ashley amazing room’s average washrooms not maintained no paper towel towels, three days automatic sprayers spray you when you don’t even move when sitting down some bar closes before closing time no announcement buffet average specialty restaurants poor some food should not even be served manager agreed most food servers very poor no thank you for a tip bars. Run out of cups. Try washing your feet when you come off the beach at the showers more sand of the showers that on the beach lol problems with laundry towels one day they ran out entertainment OK but outdoors seats are all wet The bar where they greet you to empty bottles of tequila on the shelf, empty bottle of crown royal no water in the fridge at the greeting centre bars run out of bottled water also for what you pay to go to this resort I recommend you save your money and go elsewhere

So many small things just kept adding up on top of a few big things such as power outages, inability to schedule restaurants on their app, sub par food at the buffet, sub par food at their restaurant, low quality alcohol drinks, upgraded room with pool view was an accessible room with a view of the walkway to the pool.

The grounds were great though and the jerk chicken at the food truck was awesome.

Being a hospitality manager myself I look for great service. That room attendant was awesome, check in to make sure I had everything I needed in my room. Room service food was good. The buffet was ok but i noticed some of the staff leaving silverware on the table after a guest left their sit just because it was not use, all silverware most be removed even if they don’t use it. I did try your Mediterranean restaurant, which I was ever upset at the service. It wasn’t crowded so I expected great service, it took 15 minutes before I was greeted and ask if I wanted a drink, waitress took my order, appetite that came out and after that I was waiting another 25 minutes just for main course waitress never came back to the table with course the host saw I was sitting there and went to check on my food and brought it to me and it wasn’t even hot . Waitress didn’t even come back to check on me to make sure things were good or refill my drink. Staff needed more training. Thank you

The check in procedure for us was not very good. The staff was rude and not helpful. Another staff member not associated with check in saw that we were irritated and offered help. We just got our bags and started to our room and the staff member helped us with our bags. Got to room and keys would not work. Room was not stocked but clean. Resort was beautiful, food was good . Many of the wait staff were just not pleasant at all. One server on the beach named Diane was outstanding, always smiling and helpful. The price we paid for butler service was really not worth it.

We were Diamond Club. The room was lovely with a gorgeous view and the resort staff were incredibly kind and friendly. The best food was on Antigua night, and in general the fish dishes. Otherwise the food was average and we got used to things running out: butter, lemons, bowls. Housekeeping was great, bartenders were wonderful. Lots of beach chairs, sometimes hard to get one under an umbrella. The beach was beautiful with a few sea weedy days.

Swim out room was nice, however not really worth the extra money, unless you just prefer a 1st floor room next to the pool. The staff was nice, however the bars were very short staffed. One bartender running an all-inclusive bar with two sides to it, swim-up and standing, will never be adequate. The choices of alchohol

There were 2 issues.

1. The hotels.com website booked for 2 people but when I got to the resort, they said the room iis for 2 people but the all inclusive is only for 1 person. That's a problem in your website and I need a refund for the 2nd person's meals.

2. Once we arrived at the hotel, we arrived early to let them know we're on the property. We arrived at 11am, and we knew check-in wasn't until 3pm. We patiently waited and then inquired at 3:15 if our room was ready. Until we pushed at 5pm for any available room, we probably would have waited even longer. They had 4 hrs to get a room ready, and it took 6 hrs to actually get it ready. They wouldn't even upgrade us to compensate for their failure to have a room ready.

It was a wonderful week. From the clean room, friendly staff, great facilities, fun entertainment shows to the long beautiful beach where we spent most of the day soaking up that beautiful sunshine. The beach was clean and great to walk out to the water for ocean swims. The aqua show and the 80's rocknroll show had great dancers! It was fun to watch. We enjoyed late evenings chilling in your expansive lobby with friends.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointing and Unacceptable Treatment

We traveled from New York to Royalton CHIC Antigua with a group of 9 adults to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. While the resort itself was nice, our experience at the end of the trip completely overshadowed everything else.

We were originally booked from 1/21–1/25 but chose to leave one day early (1/24) due to an expected major snowstorm in NY. We checked out early, even though our rooms were fully paid for through Sunday.

When we arrived at the airport, our flight was canceled right as we were about to board. After hours of stress trying to rebook flights, we were informed that the next available flight home was not until 1/28. Stranded, exhausted, and with no immediate way home, we returned to Royalton CHIC simply hoping to be placed back into our already-paid rooms for the night.

Instead, we were told our rooms were forfeited because we checked out early and that there was “nothing they could do.” The front desk refused to assist us in reassigning our original rooms and insisted the only option was to go online and rebook through Expedia — which made zero sense considering we had already paid for our stay.

As a result, our group was forced to rebook three rooms for one night, costing us an additional $3,400, just to have a place to sleep after a weather-related flight cancellation completely out of our control.

Chic hotel; room was clean, nice amenities. Air conditioning problematic; kept changing temperature & got sick. Food was good except Greek. Prior to arrival, I emailed hotel to confirm both pick up from & to airport. The hotel asked me to confirm my flight details which I did on the messaging app. They said it was \"noted\". This offered reassurance my pick-up from airport was confirmed to & fro the hotel. However to my extreme disappointment, there was no shuttle awaiting my arrival. I tried to get help from an Expedia rep a& they said I should have had confirmation from \"Nexus\" through the hotel. They tried to speak to other reps to no avail. It was the same story when I left the hotel. I ended up having to pay for a taxi both ways to the airport. During my stay I told the hotel agent about it as well as Nexus located next door. Nexus took my details; after 4 days of checking in with them advised me to email Nexus which I did & emailed the pymnt receipt to the hotel. I was not given a receipt for the taxi at departure. I am $200 out of pocket and to-date have not been reimbursed by either the hotel nor by Nexus. Very disappointing particularly for a hotel of this magnitude. After paying more than 7k in accommodation & airfare for the package, most of which went toward the cost of the hotel accommodation. This left me feeling undervalued as a patron of the hotel. Neither did they explain the \"Diamond Club\", if I were a member I suspect the issue would've been resolved.

Although the place itself is lovely it was not what I expected. I have traveled extensively at all inclusive resorts. The buffet super small compared to others. The food was only average if that. The restaurants, again average. I went because I needed to get away and relax, but the property is very loud at night with a party atmosphere. I love when a resort has entertainment, however, when you go back to your room, it shouldn’t be like you are still where the party is. The volume is so unnecessary everyone I talk to was also complaining, so I know it’s not just me. The New Year’s celebration was great and of course you expect noise then, but all the other nights the noise was over the top. All the staff are very friendly. The resort is clean. The rooms are on the small side compared to other all inclusive resorts. I could’ve paid half as much to go to one of the other resorts that I frequent but I decided I wanted to try something new.

I booked a king sized bed garden view room. The room itself was pretty tiny but it was clean to my liking.

Breakfast options are better than the dinner options. Had the most fun at the pool and beach. Drinks were strong and tasty and were served quickly.

The Royal Spa was also a strong point. I had the best massage and facial. Afterwards, I was able to use the pools.

Overall the resort had a good vibe. I like that it wasn’t too crowded or loud. Staff were professional, attentive and efficient but didn’t hover (which I like).

I had such a relaxing time that I looked into extending my trip (I had already been there for 8 days).

I you are looking for a nice, relaxing, low-key vibe, I definitely would recommend this resort.

The hospitality of the staff. . . Mainly the restaurant and the bar tending staff. . . They were ether very stand offish and professional or just flat out nasty. During my stay there were a few occasions where one staff member asked to get them a plate and utensil's in order for them to prepare a meal for another customer and the bar tending staff did not make me a drink when I asked because he was having a bad day and really did not provide me any service. I was mortified! That kind of behavior was unacceptable. I was extremely disappointed.

Food definitely needs to be better. Availability of certain foods like steaks definitely needs to improve. Service in restaurants is very spotty. Some restaurants have better service but some of the servers are not as experienced in serving while in other restaurants you can tell the people serving you just don't care. They are trying to be a five-star hotel by revamping one of their restaurants and putting insane prices on the menu which are not included in the all-inclusive package. Those prices on the menu are higher than the most expensive restaurants in New York. We ate there on the last day of the restaurant being free for somebody the first time they go there. So they changed it for you can dine there the first time without paying anything additional to now everybody has to pay. So thank God I didn't have to pay because The food wasn't worth the money. It was just okay but nothing special especially for the amount of money they are putting on their new menu. The steakhouse should have steaks. Their menu was not steak oriented and you can get a little filet mignon as part of the mixed grill which was just okay but when I wanted to order a brisket I was told it's not ready yet. The menu says it's a brisket that is cooked low and slow for 12 hours so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be ready to eat by 6:30 p.m. I guess you need to start preparing it at 5:00 a.m.? Or maybe the day before? Even the fancier cuts that you have to pay extra for we're not available

The room was very clean. If you wanted you could have service done everyday. We opted out of that but they still provided us everything we needed; towels, more toilet paper, etc. Any staff member we met was nothing but kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They were excellent. The resort was beautiful and sat on a breathtaking beach with the mountains right beside it. Our view couldn’t have been any better.

It's a failing hotel. Not up to 5* standards. The hotel is all inclusive but food and drinks were continually running out eg beer, tonic, gin, sparking wine and water. The buffet restaurant was always low on food stocks and exceedingly slow at replenishing dishes with minimal choice. Beautiful location and very friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel, nicely renovated. Loved the app to book dinners and excursions. Lots of towels and beach/pool chairs. Beautiful rooms. Wonderful sandy beaches with nice swimming area. Fun water toys ~ kayaks, paddle boards and catamaran. Nice a la cart restaurants with a variety of choices. Buffet and food truck were nice options during the day.

I was checked into a dirty room when I told the supervisor on duty 11/20 around 330pm she could care less. Was not accommodating at ALL I would never stay here again. The food was 6 out of 10 the upkeep of the hotel needs a lot of work plates always outside in the hallway not swift enough with cleaning up. People save their money to go on vacation I should have never experienced walking into a dirty room on my birthday. Didn’t offer to upgrade the room didn’t try to fix their mistake at all. Spoke to the regional manager while checking out (they charge 150 to keep your wrist band) crazy ! He said he would reach out I haven’t heard anything yet it’s been 5 days and counting. Stay at your own risk

The butler service thanks to Maxwell and Andre made the whole trip worth it. They are top notch and very good at their job. Room service was prompt. The property was free of clutter. The beach is well maintained. The beach staff was very attentive. Overall a good experience. The restaurant service does need some attention. At times the food service was quite slow and had to ask for things a few times.

We were diamond club members so the room was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the ocean and entire resort. The room came with two “butlers” which I do not like to call them, but these gentlemen were extremely helpful and communicated with us throughout the entire trip to ensure our needs were met, whether it be to assist with questions, information, food, drinks, they even decorated the room as we were there to celebrate birthdays. Thank you Zenworth and Maxwell for everything, those two gentlemen are outstanding, kind and truly represent the hotel very well. The hotel itself was very clean, I enjoyed the main pool and the beach, I also liked that everything was accessible as some resorts are too large and some things can be far from the room but not here, everything is walking distance. I truly appreciate when I go to a resort and they play the culture’s music, loved hearing them play soca and reggae as that represents Antigua well. The food at the buffet and restaurants were good but I do wish that there were more options at the buffet.The one thing that could be improved is the entertainment. We realized that the events listed on our TV were not updated and some events that did occur ended early. I think that people enjoy attending shows or hotel hosted events, a great way to spend your time while at the pool or late night after dinner. The room and views were great. The customer service at the restaurants was disappointing we waited over an hour after our appetizers for our main entrees. Most of our days we choose to go to the buffet instead due to these long wait times. Also the bar lacked supplies for certain drinks throughout the day was very frustrating to get some of my favorite drinks. Overall the experience was more good than bad but due expect some hiccups.

Bags of dirty towels both for the rooms and ones for the beach stayed in these big navy blue bags in the hall downstairs. While people couldn’t get fresh ones for the rooms or the beach . They stayed too long .

Service is not a Royalton resort service nothing like Jamaica! Food was below par steak house was nothing like Jamaica only the name was the same was locked out of my room for 1 hr. My wife was locked in the public washroom for 30 minutes gift shops on resort are very dishonest one product was 13 dollars. Same product was 15 dollars same product was a joke list is very long to much to point out

Yes, very displeased with this resort. There was a constant shortage of popular food — staff repeatedly said, “Mi no have any.” In addition, there was a shortage of Tito’s liquor, cups, napkins, and several food options. The staff were often rude and unaccommodating.

Furthermore, I had three guests in my room but received only two towels each day. I checked in with three guests, so I’m not sure why the room was not supplied accordingly. I called the front desk several times requesting an extra towel; most of the time, there was no answer, and on the few occasions someone did answer and promised to send one, no one ever came. This occurred every day during my stay. So disappointing but such a beautiful island.

The staff wasn't accommodating at all. We didn't have wash towels for 2 days. Requesting things that should have already been in your room was like pulling teeth. Also, the hidden fees at check-in turned me off. I have stayed at a lot of resorts and never had to pay a deposit for accidentals. The room was fine, and the food was okay. I would not stay at this resort ever again.

Yes the room was very clean..we didn't have any washcloths upon arrival..had to request those..my room was on the 3rd floor..no elevator..six flights of stairs..but the view was fantastic..staff was great!!

This place has potential but the staff lacked urgency, ran out of food, drinks, constantly had to call the butlers for help. There was a seaweed cleanup going on the beach, smell was tough somedays.

my room was clean, and beautiful. the amenities were great- however, nightlife is pretty much nonexistent unless you leave the resort. there’s a sports bar that has a dj at night on weekends, but thats really it- its super tiny in there. the food wasnt good, and you pretty much need a reservation at all the “good” restaurants. the drinks were also not the best… to even get a buzz you need several shots. overall beautiful property though.

Resort was empty and service was so slow as If hundreds of people were here. Dinner reservations were late if any. And drink options definitely lacked. If u think of all inclusive Caribbean vacation piña colada’s and mojitos are my first 2 drink choices but nope for 7 days straight neither were available. Italian restaurant lists about 10 kinds of pizza but nope none available. Cant imagine coming here during busy times.

Well where do I start..i was very disappointed at my stay here at Royalton Chic in Antigua. I thought this was a 5 star resort but soon realized it wasnt. The food was not as good. The only restaurant I liked was the buffet all the other restaurant food was not good to me. Now to the part that really did it for me was during checkout. As we were checking out they informed us that we didnt pay the tax they charge which was $40. I paid that tax when I checked in in cash to the clerk at check in. They didnt have any record of it in their computer. So my guess would be that lady pocketed that money. So happen i had recorded it on my phone that i had paid and I showed the lady at the desk. She went to the back to talk to someone but came back and said well they have to do their own investigation then they would refund it to us on a credit card if they find we did pay. My husband and I were really upset because we had the proof on my phone and we were leaving for the U.S. They called security on us and they were still demanding that we pay that $40. We had the $40 dollars but it was just the principle of the matter we paid it already and they didnt believe us. I left that $40 on the counter and abruptly left. My mistake I didnt get a receipt of that. So anyone who stays there makes sure you get a receipt if you pay that tax in cash. This was very upsetting to me and my husband and I will never stay there again!

My check in time was late I got to the resort at 1 and didn’t get checked in to my room until 5:30 which is insane.
