The resort is a 5* location, but sadly 2* hotel.

The rooms are basic but ok & clean, the maids do a fabulous job.

There's only really one bar to get really good service from, the one on the beach. Really friendly & professional barman.

Sadly this bar closes at 7pm every night & is a hike from the pool. Not a single glass wash machine on site, hand rinse only in between use from others..

There is another bar thats open from 12noon to 11pm just outside the restaurant, but service is painfully slow & the quality of drinks just isnt anywhere near acceptable. Often untrained bar staff having a go at mixing your drinks, so you'll get a splash of mixer with your glass near full with spirits, making it undrinkable.

You're lucky if you get offered drinks whilst you're on your sunlounger once a day. I dont really want to spend my time on an all inclusive holiday hiking to get drinks.

Likewise food service, hit n miss, due to zero staff training. Usually cold or luke warm food from the buffet, not a single food temp probe in site. In my opinion they shouldn't be serving roast beef still bleeding - a shame as I was looking forward to that.

As others have said, this resort really isnt for anyone that has mobility issues. Its steep, there are plenty of steps, to get to breakfast, lunch or dinner is a 5min hike.

The pool looks fabulous, you get to share it with a family of ducks who all have a daily bath in it & use it as a toilet. Its cleaned once a fortnight!

We had a beach front room which was literally on the beach front, the ocean directly in front. The views were amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. The all inclusive food and drink was excellent - there was plenty of choice, the food was of good quality and plentiful, and the waiting staff were friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hawksbill Resort. We had a hire car which proved helpful to get around and explore the island.

The room is well equipped with soda, beer, and snacks in the refrigerator. The view is spectacular. The bed is comfortable but a little hard. We had problems with the shower and it runs out of hot water after one shower. We enjoyed the privacy or our room. The staff is very accommodating. We will plan to return in the future.

The property is beautiful. There is no bad view anywhere on the property! We had an issue with bugs in our room and just overall many many bug bites. Bring your bug spray! You need it day and night on this resort. Our air conditioner leaked all week and we weren’t able to get someone to fix it until the last night. Staff is not very friendly or accommodating. Food service is pretty bad. It was difficult to even get a water cup filled. Due to negligence on the resorts behalf of not having an umbrella properly secured, a gust of wind blew it out of the stand and I was hit in the head. Not a single staff member asked if I was ok. I mentioned it at check out and they did not even care that I was injured. Food was just ok nothing spectacular and not a lot of options at all.

Do not recommend this resort to anyone. The resort is focused to accommodate an older crowd. Terrible for young couples or a girls trip as there is no night life and nothing close to the resort to leave. Staff members were very rude and would roll their eyes when asked for simple things like coffee.

Food was also terrible. Besides the buffet, there is one restaurant you can do for dinner but can only go once if you are staying under 7 days. That information was not disclosed to us prior. The women at the omelette bar at the buffet gave us so much attitude when we were trying to order.

The resort was also unsafe. People are able to come into the resort to use the beaches. We did not see one security guard throughout our stay and at night it was very dark with limited lights. Our first night around 1 am, a man came and tried to open our door. We are unsure if it was someone who worked at the resort or another guest, but the experience was very scary as we were two girls staying by ourselves. The manager of the resort did help in getting a dead bolt installed but we were not offered a different room to feel more comfortable.

Overall the views are beautiful but that’s it. The resort is extremely outdated and needs some work- better and nicer staff, enhanced security, better food options, and more night life. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We booked the beach front bungalow. It was clean and cozy. King size bed. Nice bathroom and shower. A nice patio with chairs and loungers, all right at the waters edge. The people of Hawksbill resort are friendly and the service was good.
Food was good, not a huge section to choose from if I were to compare it to other all inclusive resorts I've been too. But there was plenty to choose and it was all good.
Took the Hobie for a spin, did some kayaking, snorkeling, this was the best most laid back adventure my wife and I took. The beaches were so clean and beautiful. NO sargassum, just clear turquoise waters. Eden Beach;) that's where we hung out every morning and afternoon. Completely safe, and now I want to go back!!!

The resort workers hardly smiled and they did not treat my family member and I with the same respect that they treated other guests with. When asked for a small and simple task such as a refill for water at the buffet or another cup of coffee, the resort workers rolled their eyes and looked bothered. Yet, they had no issue doing this for other tourists who were staying at the resort. The workers would go around table to table asking how everything is, but never once bothered to do that for us. Despite the resort workers attitudes, we remained appreciative, always thanked them, and presented with a smile. We never gave anyone a hard time, but the attitudes at this resort did not change. We were fortunate to have maybe 2-3 workers that were kind though.

Ultimately, I was shocked by my experience here to say the least. I've traveled all over the world in the Caribbean, Europe, and United Kingdom and i never once had an experience with resort/hotel workers being so rude, like they were here.

Beautiful resort though, and beautiful island. It was peaceful and quiet. Just what I needed to unwind for 9 nights, despite my experience with their poor customer service. Food could be better, but they offered a different variety every night which was nice. Beaches were beautiful (some of them were non swimmable due to rocks though). The drinks were fantastic! My rating would be higher if the staff there were friendlier.

We loved our stay! The resort has stunning views. Our beach bungalow opened right to the ocean and in 20 steps we could be standing in the water. The bed was absolutely wonderful. Nothing is more annoying than spending a lot of money to go to resort and then having a subpar bed to sleep in. The food is served buffet style… But I do have to say, that it is the best buffet food I have ever eaten in my life! Even my husband loved it, and he strongly dislikes buffets. The variety and local flavor was excellent. They even had a smoothie station for breakfast! The staff are so friendly and helpful.It is truly an incredible place to stay that is actually affordable.

Overall, the water is what draws you to this island. Gorgeous beaches!!! The resort was average at best. Facilities were old and fairly run down. Management was very helpful and courteous (Collete, Mario) and Dalston the bar tender was amazing! However, most staff were, IMO, rude. Many didn't smile, say anything other than a head nod. One staffer abruptly told a couple in front of us that they were \"in his way and to move\". Another just simply told a guest that the \"bar was closed\" (vs. telling the bar would be open in 10 minutes). Servers at main buffet area were often slow, unhelpful and rude in responses. On several occasions, I had to refill my own water, find a coffee decanter, remind them to get milk, ask for refills. Buffet was average most nights. Food at times cold.

The front desk was very chaotic also. Scheduled a spa treatment and she couldn't tell me the differences between the massages. Said she didn't know. We reluctantly cancelled the massage, thinking that the experience wouldn't be pleasurable, if it was like most every other service we'd experienced. Especially for a $240 couples massage. There was a yoga class for Wed morning, but the instructor was sick and the class was cancelled. However, no one from the resort went to the class to TELL the guests about this or a sign, etc. Guests just showed up and had to walk around to find a person to ask why no instructor.

If I were to sum up this resort, it would be beautiful beach, but \"disorganized\".

Our short holiday at Hawksbill Resort was our first trip to Antigua. The resort strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and activity. Though we didn’t try the kayaks or Hobie Cat sailing, we spent our days exploring the bay, searching for shipwrecks with cannons and anchors, and swimming alongside colorful fish. The calm setting and friendly guests made it easy to unwind and connect.

We loved learning about the island’s culture - and realizing we’d been saying its name wrong! The resort is named after the hawksbill turtle, symbolized by a rock in the bay. We spotted our first mongoose at breakfast, dined under almond trees, and saw old sugar mills that once powered the island’s economy.

Arriving during Independence Week, we admired the vibrant madras national dress in red, gold, and green, symbolizing strength and resilience. We learned that the Wadadli catamaran takes its name from the men’s shirt in that attire. Our trip to Cades Reef was amazing - a two-mile reef where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, alive with stingrays, turtles, coral, and conch shells.

The staff made our stay exceptional. Egbert the cook and driver, Myra, Aria, Kianna, Melinda, Sharon, Debbie, and the sports crew were kind, professional, and full of good humor. The manager even surprised me with birthday decorations. Hawksbill was the perfect blend of rest, culture, and adventure. We can’t wait to return!

My wife and I stayed for a week at Hawksbill Resort and the only thing going for this place is the beach, the nice pool, and the decent rooms. Most of the staff at the restaurants were rude, would sit you at your table but never come back, and or would take your drink order but never come back with it. Our room had a issue with the AC leaking and then it would leak into the ceiling over the toilet, so every time you used the bathroom you would get water dripping on to you. Also my wife is pregnant, she would order drinks on the Mocktail options, but most of the time they wouldn’t know what drink it was or would put alcohol in it. The food options they put online is no where close to what they serve at the buffets, every night the sides were the same, only thing that changed was the protein they served. On top of all that the amount of flies that would try to land on your food for every meal was disgusting, they have no fly traps or anything to try to help mitigate them. The only fly trap I saw was at the beach bar but they had it turned off.

When we arrived, we booked a beachfront bungalow. From the pictures on their website, we thought we were getting a room on the beach. You know, the ones where you literally walk out the door and your feet are in the sand and the ocean is steps away. Not the case. We were facing the ocean and had a full view of the ocean, but it was not the room we booked. With that said, the room was decent, rustic would be the best word to explain the room. The major issue with the room was the bugs and the cleaning staff never cleaned them up. We purposefully left the dead ants and mosquitos on the bathroom sink to see if they would get cleaned up but they never did. Staff literally swept the floors (inside and on the patio) and made the bed; thats it. We had a fridge but never received and drinks for said fridge. The couple we went with requested a few cokes and Ginger Ales and was told they could not take them from the bar and would have to purchase soft drinks from the gift shop. Now come on, this is an all inclusuve resort and we have to purchase non alcoholic sodas from the gift shop???? First time for this girl!

Now, lets chat about the staff.....I was so disappointed. We had to get a majority of our drinks ourselves. Only 1 guy getting drinks for the people at the pool, the beach and people sitting in the chairs outside the beach front rooms, which by the way is a HIKE so if you see him, be ready to wait.

The room was clean and property was nice and spacious. Only one pool and the beach was nice when there was no jelly fish. It took a very long time get drinks by the pool and there is little to no entertainment. Some of the workers was nice and there was the others that was abrupt and down right rude.
We will not be coming back and won’t recommend.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Hawksbill. The resort itself is in a stunning location — the pool area was beautiful, and the beach was absolutely amazing, clean, and relaxing. Most of the staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. However, there were a few staff members who didn’t show the same level of professionalism or warmth, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the team. Despite that, the overall atmosphere, scenery, and hospitality from the majority of the staff made it a pleasant stay. I’d definitely return for the views and the beach alone!

Our ground-floor room was perfect for my elderly grandmother, who uses a wheelchair, as it was directly accessible and led straight onto the beach. Cleanliness was excellent — the room was well-kept, with a functional bath, shower, and amenities, all in good working order. While travelling with accessibility needs was manageable overall, it’s worth noting that there is a flight of stairs to access the main restaurant. This wasn’t a major issue for us, but something for other travellers to keep in mind.

The food was tasty and varied, with lots of options across two restaurants, though sometimes a little on the salty side. Drinks were great, and the nightly entertainment added a lively and fun element to the evenings. A standout feature was the resort’s access to four beautiful beaches, each with its own character, as well as complimentary water sports, which really added to the experience.

The atmosphere throughout the resort was calm, laid-back, and relaxing, with a good balance between quiet downtime and engaging activities. Overall, we felt safe, well-supported, and well looked after. For the setting, amenities, and outstanding staff, we thought Hawksbill offered very good value for money and a truly memorable Caribbean stay.

Food was decent - I was expecting more island food- the view was awesome from our bungalow - the waves were a little rough and there were rocks in the water : we walk to the seaview rooms area where the water was a lot calmer and safer - the room was nice with amenities and sooooo quiet - I slept peacefully indoors and some nights I slept on our private cabana area …..( some nights there’s mosquitos so bring repellant ) nightly entertainment was cool : concierge is available 24hrs—- taxi to get into town was cool… ( take Advantage of the hotel amenities )

The property itself is not bad at all. However, there are one too many faulty components. Let’s start with the issue of insects. While they did their due diligence to get rid of the insects outdoors; it wasn’t the same for indoors. After trying to wine down after a long hot day, an influx of insects took over the room. This lead to us spraying an over exceedingly amount of bug spray which led to choking, coughing and sneezing. Then there was an issue with food poisoning. I was unable to enjoy the first few days of the vacation due to constantly having to run to the bathroom. The dining utensils were unusable, then when asked for a different one it was as if it was a bother. Due to this factor I spent a lump-sum of my vacation money on food outside. That should not have been the case because the property is all inclusive. Lastly, we were called on the room phone to confirm date/time of checkout, which was confirmed. The day of no one called or came to the room to assist us with the luggage, that literally has to be wheeled from one end of the resort to the opposite end and up two flights of stairs. There needs to be better accommodation for guests to enjoy the resort comfortably. Bug infestation, sheets were dirty and never changed we stayed 8 days on the same sheets . Bed linen change was requested and the linen was dropped off to the room for us to do it .The dining area tables chairs were covered in bird feces and it was not properly sanitized .

This resort was amazing! We went for a girls trips with 4 people between the ages of 19-23 and we had a great time. The resort is a bit secluded but that wasn’t a problem. Everyone is friendly from the lifeguards to the people trying to sell you tours. The food is delicious, I didn’t have a meal I didn’t like. It is a quiet resort with only entertainment at dinner so this is definitely not a party resort. However we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. I can’t wait to come back!

We loved this resort! The food was excellent every night, the staff was so so friendly and everything was so clean and peaceful! The only thing I’ll say is the people on the beach will harass you to buy an excursion from them which was annoying, but that didn’t ruin our stay! We would definitely come back!

I Love everything about Hawksbill Resort, the staff were very considerate and friendly. The restaurant soft music and decorations gave it a romantic ambience. The beach was very cean with crystal clear waters very much addictive, well definitely recommend.

The property was quiet and the view was beautiful. I did not like the basic food and drink options. The rooms were outdated. It’s an all inclusive, yet you had to pay for water and drinks in the room. The toilet seat was old and needs to be changed. The room had little black bugs.

The resort is clean, the beaches are excellent.. No problem with the bed. The room is clean, except when it rains, bugs all over, even on the bed. They call it “ rain bugs”. They booked us in a room that is far away from the reception and dining room. I have an 80year old family member with me. Plus the steps that that she has to climb, she was out of breath. The food is excellent. But birds and flies flying all over

Our stay was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I had a private beach dinner for our anniversary and it was lovely! The food was pretty good most days and you must try the Cinnamon Amaretto cocktail! Overall a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!

Where to begin…We had to work for the simplest things:
Water, towels, always out of something. The food options are limited. Cleaning service or any type of timely service- forget about it. And if they did “clean your room” it was bare minimum, and done with moldy smelling mops. The showers were horrendous and Meade you feel like you need to shower afterwards. Any time we asked for ANYTHING, management and the front desk gave us an attitude and took their sweet time. They don’t care about their guests or safety, just money. The beds ARE MADE FROM HELL. I’ve stayed all over the world and this is the worst all inclusive I’ve EVER visited. By far… ALSO: PAPER THIN thin walls, unprofessional security, creepy people on Eden beach can enter and there was a man stalking my friend and I to the room. We told the front desk and they didn’t care. It’s not safe, not sanitary, terrible food, terrible service, rude staff. The only nice thing was the view. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. So sad this was my best friend’s first Caribbean experience. Oh yeah, Denise, needs to be fired, for sure. And Mario.
