We loved our bungalow with private balcony and plunge pool. The resort is well laid out and not busy albeit I think it was fully occupied when we stayed.

All the resort staff were charming and could not do enough to help. The restaurant food was very good and well apportioned.
We also enjoyed both the morning beach side yoga and steel drums experiences.

The great stuff- The staff at Cocobay were amazing! The beach is beautiful and not crowded! The food was really good! It was peaceful- not a thumping disco anywhere in the place.
The not so great stuff- the place is very old and in need of updates! Wood decking all splintery. The room pools were not heated-I never went in! Showers were lukewarm. You could only eat at meal time or get a choice of 2 panini’s during the day. If you missed dinner- you wait till breakfast at 7:30am. No room service either. The view from the room It’s rustic and they do a great job with service but I’m going somewhere with modern amenities next time.

Lovely resort, we were very lucky to have a room chalet with plunge pool that was quite private. The plunge pool is rather cold & does not get a huge amount of sun, but we were still pleased we opted for it. The decor was light & airy. Smaller resort, great food & coffee shop. Beach was great & mainly hotel members. Pool area can get a little busy.
The majority of staff members were friendly, but it was a little mixed in the restaurant.
Very little to do in the immediate area but options to head out via taxi. English Harbour worth a visit.

My only complaint was that our plunge pool was too cold to use. It did not get any sun so it never was warm enough. Definitely ask if your room will get direct sunlight. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Our stay at Cocobay was truly wonderful. The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and a gorgeous beach that never felt crowded. Our bungalow was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the resort.

The food was a standout. Every meal was excellent, thoughtfully prepared, and consistently enjoyable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better.

One thing to be aware of is the entry road to the resort. It is in very rough shape. If you plan to rent a car, I strongly recommend considering a 4x4 rather than a small vehicle like the Vitz we had.

Overall, a fantastic experience in a beautiful setting. We would happily return. Enjoy!

It was very clean and well-maintained overall. The beach is public but was mostly guests. Beach chairs and umbrellas were always available and there is great service on the beach. Norma does massages at the beach which are great and fair priced. We would love to go back!

Room was reasonably clean. The faucet in the bathroom looked like it needed to be tightened up. Would be nice to have a way to keep the doors closed when on the deck to keep room cool. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and the ocean view spectacular. Meals were all very good but need to combine cake and ice cream on more of the desserts. Had easy access to three beaches. We would highly recommend the Cocobay resort for a relaxing vacation.

We stayed at Cocobay Resort in Antigua in November, and overall we had an amazing time — but our experience was unfortunately impacted by a room issue that was never properly resolved.

When we arrived, we were not given the room we had booked. Instead, we were placed in a much smaller room with a significantly smaller plunge pool, located off to the side and mostly in the shade. Because of the lack of sun, the pool was cold and didn’t feel as clean or inviting as expected, which was disappointing given the price we paid.

On our last day, we were finally moved to the room we originally booked, and it was absolutely perfect — exactly what we had expected and paid for from the start.
Unfortunately, despite paying for a higher-tier room for the entire stay, the resort refused to provide any type of refund or price adjustment for the days we were placed in a smaller, lower-value accommodation.

That said, the beaches are absolutely stunning, some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The food was wonderful at every single meal, and the servers and chef were truly exceptional — kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. Their hospitality played a huge role in making the trip enjoyable despite the room situation.

We still had a great vacation and many memorable moments, but the way the room issue was handled left a bad taste and prevented this stay from being perfect. With better transparency and guest care in situations like this, Cocobay could easily deliver a flawless experience.

Overall a beautiful resort. A few items prevented a 5-star review. The biggest issue is that we never had a hot, or even warm, shower the entire week. The water never changed from an uncomfortable cool temperature which put a bit of a damper on the stay.
The food was delicious and for the most part there was a good variety. The exception was breakfast which seemed to be basically the same thing every morning with slight variation. It would have been nice to have some more variety in the morning meals.
We had a cottage with private plunge pool but due to the location (very shaded), our pool was freezing so we couldn't use it as much as we wanted.
The staff (for the most part) were very nice and friendly and helpful.
Again, this place is beautiful with stunning views and a quiet and laid back atmosphere. Just a few hiccups for us but our vacation was still wonderful.

This resort is definitely a place to unwind and reconnect for couples, mother daughters too. The cottages are beautiful. Just be mindful the cottages are in nature and there will be ants and little Nats but they provide a net over the bed. I do wish I brought bug spray.
The staff are so helpful and welcoming. As for the meals I found them to be very healthy good portion sizes. You do not need to make reservation for breakfast but they will ask you at breakfast what time you would like to reserve lunch and dinner. If you find yourself hungry before dinner there's bar bites and paninis available. On our first morning we decided to order the float in breakfast to our pool, I would say if you can splurge on it do it. On our last dinner we decided to try sheer rocks I highly recommend trying it, the food is a little more upscale.

The infinity pool was hard to get a spot because people would put down towels early to reserve their spot. The beach is beautiful definitely where you should spend majority of time.

Overall really enjoyed my time here will definitely be back!

Antigua is a beautiful island with the friendliest people! The setting at cocobay resort is absolutely stunning! The rooms are cottages. Ours had a private plunge pool overlooking the sea. The all inclusive food was adequate. Small menus to choose from but mostly what we ate was decent. There are some upgrades you can pay for. There are 2 infinity pools that have padded comfortable loungers, some with umbrellas. The beach is lovely. White sand. We had no seaweed at all. And warm temperatures. We dined out at big head lobster down the street one night which was not cheap but delicious! All in all a great trip! I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We received an upgrade to our room upon our arrival. Although there was a mechanical issue with our door on the second day. This resort deserves nothing but 5 stars. I traveled with my girlfriend and stayed 5 nights in a deluxe cottage with a private pool. The room was beautiful and all you could ask for really felt immersed in nature. The food was amazing, the drinks were great and the staff made you feel like family. The beach is also clear with almost no seagrass. Worst part about the trip was having to check out! Any negatives you see about this place IGNORE, as we are currently looking at dates to return next year.

The resort is very peaceful, perfect for rest and restoration, and the staff were genuinely kind.

However, the food and music could use some improvement. The dishes lacked flavor, and the music felt overly Westernized. The overall atmosphere was quite conservative, playing things a bit too safe for my taste. There were also quite a few flies around the dining area, which made it even harder to fully enjoy our meals.

While I won't be back at this resort again, I must say that the slowness and quietness of the resort made me feel relaxed.

I had a really really really great time and almost did not want to leave. Staff is friendly and willing to assist you anytime. The food was wonderful and there was a wide variety of choices while you enjoy different types of entertainment. The cabins are comfortable and cozy with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are local stores very close by in case you need to purchase anything and the local people are friendly as well. Definitely recommend when you want to escape reality for a bit.


The check out process was a bit crazy for me because they said they would email your bill to you the night before you leave and then charge your card in the morning. I never received an email and they charged my card the night before for activities I inquired about but never took part in. The hotel, which is tucked away on the northern part of the island amid 40 acres of grounds, offers a total of seven bedrooms as well as an on-site restaurant and a flexible event space, perfect for any event, especially weddings and celebrations. There's even a functioning windmill on the property which can be climbed up to take in the fabulous view.

Four of the bedrooms are in the 140-year-old main house, and three further suites have been built in the nearby former carriage rooms from the 17th century. A few of the original furnishings have been kept, notably a large display cabinet on the first floor of the hotel.

Along with the majority of the window shutters and some of the louvres, the flooring is all original. The hotel is a fantastic spot to stay when on vacation in Antigua.

It exudes a peaceful energy. It is a prime location right in the middle of, and adjacent to, some of the top tourist destinations in the north of the island, only 5 minutes drive to Dickenson Bay Beach or 10 minutes the other way to Cedar Grove Golf Course.

The hotel's location is both quiet and convenient for your needs. Amazingly, the interior maintains the design of the 350-year-old Great House at Mercers Creek.

Bird International Airport. The hotel now offers one-bedroom studios and two and three-bedroom beachfront apartments, ideal for those looking for spacious accommodation for a family or group vacation.

The original Lord Nelson Hotel was built in 1950 and was the first beachfront hotel in Antigua. The local greenstone buildings still stand on the waterfront today and house our one-bedroom studios.

The modern beachfront apartments are spacious, and each has a fully equipped kitchen and living room with either two or three bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. All units come fully furnished and are fully air-conditioned.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, full-size fridge, microwave, coffee, and tea-making facilities, and a toaster with all the pots, pans, and utensils for you to put together your favourite meals and snacks. The spacious living room allows you to relax in comfort and watch your favourite shows on a 40” flat-screen TV.

There is free wi-fi throughout the apartments. All bedrooms have a queen bed with an ensuite bathroom.
