Great small hotel!!!

Wonderful services. Alessandra and Tony are amazing!!!! Us a business owner you should be very proud of them. If you like small hotel with personalise services (even not a reception after 2:00 pm they handle everything to make very functional), close to everything without the crowds, this is the place!!!!

Holiday hotel close to beach

Small hotel, great location. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. Reception staff only available for a few hours in the day which could be an issue, but luckily once we were there we had no issues and so didnt need to contact them.

Great Location

The Hotel is a small boutique hotel. We arrived at noon and our room was ready so we could move in.The beach, bars and restaurants were a stone's throw away.Room was immaculate, everything needed for a short break.Ice bucket was supplied but could not locate an ice machine.! Would definitely recommend this hotel!!

Amazing suite!

We booked the suite for a week and will definitely book again if we come back to Las Palmas! The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and let us go into the room early (always a bonus!). Excellent facilities including reclining sofa with large TV and Netflix, small kitchen area, hot tub! But the best thing of all was when you went up the stairs to the second terrace where there was an extra 'sunroom' with TV, sofa and fridge in! We spent most evenings in there looking out at the sea view. The location is great. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach with all the restaurants on, but far away enough that it is nice and quiet. Couple of improvements could be to have a few more kitchen utensils. I know the suite is for 2 people, but it would be nice to have more than 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 bowls etc and only 1 sharp knife for cutting. It would also be nice if things like oil, salt, pepper etc were provided. We would definitely like to come back!

We had a great stay and were impressed with the suite for the price. It was nicely appointed with own hot tub and second floor deck. Walking distance to the beaches and restaurants in downtown, we barely needed the car. We did use it to explore the island one day but left it home after that. Nice decor as well and Pablo was super friendly and helpful and gave us a nice dinner recommendation.

The hotel had an excellent location, very quiet street yet so close to many good cafes and restaurants. Also very convenient for supermarket and bus links.
Staff were extremely helpful and so friendly ,they really made us feel very welcome.
Room was very clean with good amenities ,no negatives whatsoever. We hope to revisit in future years.

We booked the Suite with terrace but never expected what we got! The lift opens into the room (only your key card allows that!) and when being shown around the room, I thought that there had been a mistake!
Full kitchen, reclining sofa, two TVs in the room, full sun terrace with hot tub, then another terrace above with \"chill out room\", which had another TV and another sun terrace with sunbeds - oh and two alfresco toilets/showers!
We had only booked for four nights so with a couple of days of clouds, we couldn't make full use of the \"sun\" terrace, which was a shame, but loved the option to stay in. We loved the room.
If I was to offer any suggestions for improvement it would be to provide a legend for the light switch/shutter/LED key pads - you end up going through a trial and error sequence each time!
Perhaps add some curtains as at present the only blackout option are the shutters, which are metal and extremely noisy to open/close, meaning the early riser cannot enjoy the outside without waking up the other! Also perhaps a tea towel to dry the glasses, plates. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The hotel is in a very good position, close to the beach and the walk along the promenade where there is a host of restaurants and bars. Parking was close by and the hotel discount brings it down to €13 per 24hrs, which you pay upfront to the cashier once you have your hotel proof.
Would definitely like to go back.

The Wavia is in a great location. We stayed in the suite on the top floor with amazing views and beautiful terraces. The facilities are great with Welcoming drinks provided in the fridge and all you could need to self cater. Although the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant there are many just steps away that cater for all at reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and helpful giving lots of advice and suggestions. I can’t praise it enough!

Receptionist (Gabriel) very welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. Room appeared smaller than expected but plenty of storage and great lighting features (lacking instructions!). Even a kettle (hidden in a cupboard). Gratis drinks in fridge!
Lovely soft towels and bathroom products, choice of pillows not to our liking. Enjoyed (limited) view from balcony.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 week and I would highly recommend. We were very welcome and stuff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated very close to the beach in a quiet area. I like the bed and mattress and I felt very comfortable. I would like to come again.

A Great Find

I loved this little hotel. It was a great location that was close to the beach and boardwalk (but not right on the beach and much cheaper). I loved all of the little extras with the hotel: the helpful staff giving suggestions and recommendations, the wrist band key, the complimentary mini bar, the smart tv, the toiletries, etc.

Bright, spolessly clean room. Reception staff very helpful, communication good. Well located premises, quite but literally just around the corner from restaurant, bars and cafes. Plenty of choice to suit all pockets. Felt safe in the area. Lovely gesture of chocolate for my daughters birthday, staff had seen her birthday wishes cards! Would highly recommend!

Great Hotel Close To The Beach And Fantastic Staff

Very welcoming staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely room, well equipped and kept really clean.

Just a short walk (2 minutes max) to the beach, cafes, restaurants and shops.

We paid for the breakfast, which was provided at La Oliva just a couple of minutes away. To be honest I wasn't overly impressed with this restaurant, the staff were a little curt and, because we didn't want the \"set\" breakfast menu items, seemed annoyed by our simple requests like replacing yoghurt with hot milk on the cereals etc.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again, just without the breakfast option.

Really cute and different

The hotel was really stylish. Rooms decorated with sea themes and everything very clean and modern. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. On arrival we felt the area was rather shabby but then realised we were just metres from the end of the beach and there were lots of lovely restaurants literally around the corner. Good Wi-Fi, discounted parking close by. Would stay again.

Clean, modern excellent location hotel

This hotel has ten bedrooms, is clean, modern and high tech with an excellent location. It's close to the beach, supermarket, bus stops etc yet far enough for decent sleep. However there are times when the front desk is unmanned. This is because the staff member is either outside smoking on the phone or cleaning the rooms. They don't wear a uniform so you wouldn't know who works there. The toilet seat was sliding around and hadn't been repaired during our whole stay. To summarise I would recommend this hotel.

There are only 10 rooms and the stairways are definitely not suitable for children. The decor is pleasing,
The location is very good for the beach and the city.
The only sounds we heard were the crashing of waves on the beach.
There was no hassle by staff wanting to clean the room before we were ready to go out which meant we could lie in and relax.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

This hotel is great on so many counts. All the previous reviews lived up to their billing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the hotel is great value for money. My wife has walking difficulties and this hotel was located in a good, level, area near the wonderful beach. Lots of great restaurants to suit all budgets. We spent 10 days at Las Palmas and had a wonderful, lazy, time eating our way through the fish stocks of Las Palmas!

Beautiful new hotel, themed ocean associated viz the names of the rooms and walls decorated like an aquarium with multi coloured lighting. The room had sufficient equipment for entire self catering. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel is virtually on the sea front with restaurants and shops in the immediate vecinity. As it is in a one way side street it is noce and quiet

Brilliant time away the only thing that let the stay down was we booked a twin room. whilst on the plane the hotel emailed to ask if a double was okay. I was unable to pick this up as I did not have internet, arriving at the hotel to be given a double. The hotel said they would be able to change this to a twin room if we wanted but would have to wait. Unsure as to why they could not of changed this before we arrived after all that is what we had booked. Room was tidy and clean also very pretty. Some days house keeping didn't replenish shall I or something silly.

Fantastic small hotel close to beach

Brilliant holiday. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Whole hotel crisp and clean. Just like the photos. Fridge in room and sink, kettle, induction hob. Welcome set of beer and cold drinks in fridge and bottles of water. Breakfast is available at a charge for vouchers accepted at Restaurant about 150 meters away by the beach. It can be ordered the night before and brought to the room. Bottles of water are renewed every day, as is pack of different teas, coffee, sugar, sweetener, biscuits. There were two of us, so 2x bathrobes supplied and slippers. 2x Bath towel and hand towel and beach towel; all cleaned next day if left on the floor. Big bed, very comfortable. Big TV. Phone and sockets and usb ports. Small table against wall, and table on balcony. No view from balcony as small street but we could just see the sea very nearby. English spoken, but the town is really favoured by Spanish tourists (so learning some Spanish beforehand is a good idea!), but good English at the hotel is a bonus. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Ultra modern but still ultra friendly

We booked a double room in the Wavia Hotel, but what we got was more like an apartment. Our room had all the facilities we could have needed, micro-wave, ceramic hotplate, fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, cupboards, cups, dishes etc., an excellent shower, a (small) balcony, large flat-screen T.V. etc. Everything was very modern - not only the TV but also the air-conditioning, the lights etc were all controlled by remotes.
Each room had it's own (sea-scape) theme. We would have loved to peep into the other rooms.
La Wavia is wonderfully situated, just around the corner from the northern end of Las Canteras beach, and has any number of excellent restaurants and cafés within a stone's throw. We got excellent advice from Lucas and Gabi as regards different kinds of restaurants.
A measure of how friendly and thoughtful the owners of this hotel are is that we were provided with complimentary beach towel, and I gather we could have got snorkels too, if we wanted them.
Our stay was just for a week-end but we will go back for a longer stay as soon as we can.

A small hotel with a big heart

We arrived 2 hours before the agreed check-in time, intending to drop our bags and head out for lunch. Unfortunately my partner developed a very bad migraine during our flight to Las Palmas and upon arriving at the hotel was very unwell. Toni on reception at the time was brilliant. He brought us bottles of water and helped to prepare our room ahead of schedule. In fact everyone working at the hotel is incredibly kind and professional. Thank you to both Martha and Gabi for being so kind, thoughtful and genuinely interested in making sure that we had a good holiday; Both took the time to share with us some great places to eat and visit. Located just off made promenade las canteras and the beach. 100 yards from restaurants. Room was very clean and like a man cave with gadgets galore. LED mood lighting nice too. Hotel doesn't have any dining facilities as such but La Oliviera restaurant on seafront has agreement to provide full breakfast. We took option to eat there (breakfast served between 0900-1230) extensive food options with fresh juices/smoothies. Great coffee. Preferred the breakfast to the Lopesan's in Meloneras. If ordered night before will do room service. Room has fridge and kettle. Hotel also situated close to beach undercover car park. €12 Euro per day and car out of sunshine.

Close to the beach & lots of good restaurants, 30 minutes from airport. Carnival time when we were there, that was amazing!!
Unfortunately we booked & paid in advance for transfers with private cars, on arrival nobody there to greet us. Eventually I found a small office of MTS Global, they had no knowledge of our arrival despite them sending me confirmation details. 15 minutes later we were told to go with some other man, gave him hotel name, he & his friends hadn't heard of our hotel. I showed them hotels address & we were put in a taxi, I insisted I would not pay again. We were not charged. 24 hours prior to our departure I got hotel receptionist to phone MTS to confirm our flight time & what time would they would arrive. Next day pick up time came and went, no not again, another phone call & car 5 minutes away. 15 minutes later we started to get concerned, MTS phoned & told us car was 20 minutes away!! With checking in time/ security etc we phoned a taxi who arrived in 2 minutes. This was a very tense time, my wife was crying, so frustrating!! Despite all the confirmation no body turned up again.

Fabulous Hotel really close to beach

We loved the Wavia, except we would have like to have a balcony with a view, which the next room had. The staff were extremely accommodating and provided us with coffee & tea, ironing board and iron and advice on how to activate the blue tooth speakers in the room. We had a small issue with room safe but worked eventually. The location is extremely close to a fantastic and clean beach, which never felt overcrowded. If we could be guaranteed a room with the view we would definitely stay there again.

I think they should advertise the fact that they provide lady razor, toothbrushes, comb, shower & shampoo & hair/body balm toiletries & minibar that is restocked with water on a daily basis.

This hotel was so comfortable and welcoming, the drinks included in the fridge as a welcome gift were really kind. The bed was really comfy and huge! The speakers and the TV were great additions to the room. There is a hob in the room so we cooked pasta one night, unfortunately there's are no washing up things provided so we left the dishes dirty. The kind cleaner washed them for us, which is great but we felt bad about leaving them. The reception staff are friendly and will answer any questions you have about the local area or things to do.

Great Hotel, Will Visit Again!

Very nice accommodation with extremely friendly staff. Welcoming stay and will visit again.
Location was great with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops nearby. Scenic coastal views and safe area. 2 min walk to a nice beach. Complimentary large beach towels provided by Wavia.
Lots of free toiletries (e.g razor, toothbrush/paste, comb, etc.), fridge full of complimentary drinks and usb wall ports for charging electronics all very convenient.
Beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows to select from. Blackout blinds keep external lights out however they are plenty of internal room lights from electronics (tv/radio) so if sensitive these can be covered up. Large TV provided, mostly Spanish channels but possible to get Netflix on the TV. Good sized kitchen with fridge (no freezer), sink, kitchen top cooker (no oven/grill), well stocked with cutlery/pots/plates/drinkware. No kettle or coffee maker provided in our room and I think this could be added as standard by Hotel owners without much issue.
Great stay and great value for money. The standard of the hotel is very high, especially for the price. It is a new hotel and if they keep this standard high they will be a popular choice.

Brilliant!

Because it isn't on the seafront the location is quiet but you are close enough to the sea (50 metres) to hear the waves. There are so may things to like about this small hotel. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough. The rooms are modern and clean and will appeal to gadget enthusiasts (colour-changing LED lights, built-in bluetooth speakers etc). The WiFi in the room was excellent. Breakfast can be taken in the room but they also provide vouchers so that you can take it at a beachfront restaurant. There are many good restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen, lähellä Las Canterasia mutta hiljaisella kadulla. Hotelli oli viihtyisä, vaikka ei kunnoltaan ihan parasta laatua. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä, vaikka englannin taito oli heikkoa. Voisin majoittua uudestaankin.

Dårlig renhold og utsikt.

Hvis du velger dette hotellet, vær obs på innsjekkingsrutiner og at du selv må bestille nye håndklær, sengetøy og renhold. Det skjer ikke automatisk. Vi kom til et helt ok rom, med god seng. Renholdet var dårlig, håndklær var flekkete, det var gammel såpe i dusjen og den lovede havutsikten var meget begrenset.

Me encantó la limpieza de la habitación y el que pudieses decir si querías que te limpiasen la habitación o no, poniendo simplemente un cartelito en la puerta.Además de que todo el hotel está impecable, y es super tranquilo.
No me gustó que pone que tienen recepción hasta las 9 de la noche y es mentira, nunca hay nadie en recepción, cualquier cosa que necesitas siempre tienes que estar llamando por teléfono, porque no hay nadie físicamente.

Lätt att ta lokalbuss till o från flygplats samt ner till Maspalomas för soligare dagar.

Wavia - en liten pärla

Jag bodde 3 nätter på Wavia Hotel. Hotellet ligger i ett mindre hus som är ombyggt till hotell intill Las Canteras bredare del. Hotellet är i bra skick.
Rummet var ganska stort med en soffa. Sängen var bekväm, kuddarna för höga. Balkongen hade sol många timmar och havsutsikt från kortsidan. Det fanns både kylskåp, vattenkokare och gratis safebox. Jag trivdes bra och kan tänka mig att bo där igen.

Good location close to the beach and restaurants. The hotel. Is very small and simple. You could see it needs to maintenance, and the shower kept dripping in between. And the pressure was quite low.

Nice little balcony to enjoy breakfast at, with sun basically the whole day. Good WiFi. Fridge. Was missing like a water heater and some te and coffe.. The bed was conformable and ac working.

A nice place to stay if you are in town for just a couple of days. Could do with a touch up but, no roof or pool area. But child free.

Un agradable y cómodo establecimiento hotelero

La ubicación del alojamiento, muy cercano a la playa de las Canteras, es excelente. La limpieza de la habitación, exhaustiva, se realiza a diario. Ha de destacarse la amabilidad y buena disposición del personal, especialmente de Pablo. En conclusión, la relación precio/calidad es alta.

Dette er et lite appartementshotell med høy standard og morsom design. Svært stille gate, men bare 40 meter fra gode lokale restauranter med byens egne! Resepsjon svært hjelpsomme. 35 euro for Egen Mercedes service til flyplass. Beste del av Den 3 km lange playa Canteras Er like ved hotellet. Flotte turveier nordover på vestsiden av La Isleta. Fersk fisk og gambas må oppleves på restaurant 40 meter nord!

Rooms are clean and the location is good.
Parking with a note from the hotel cost 13euro a day just outside the hotel. There is no pool, and the \"spa\" which is a jacuzzii and sauna costs a pretty penny to use. The reception was rarely staffed during our stay. Once staffed the service was good.

Roligt ophold i stille gade

Hotellet ligger godt i et roligt område i en meget stille gade, hvilket er svært at finde i Las Palmas. Vi sov med åbent vindue om natten. Vi boede i den del, som havde et lille køkken. Det er lidt sparsomt udstyret, så du må selv skaffe køkkenbørste og sulfo, etc. Lykke til.

Hotel pequeño muy bien situado en La Puntilla de Las Palmas, muy cerca de la playa de Las Canteras y de la zona de ambiente. Además, al ser un hotel pequeño dan un trato familiar y acogedor con multitud de detalles que facilitan las cosas y hacen más agradable la estancia. Algunos ejemplos: Nos permitieron el checking antes de las 15 h. lo que nos facilitó hacer entrada antes del mediodía y poder darnos un ansiado bañito en la playa previo a la comida. Disponen y facilitan toallas de playa, lo que supone de ahorro de espacio y peso en el equipaje del avión. Consumo gratuito de las bebidas del minibar (foto). El día de Nochevieja nos dejaron un detalle añadido en la habitación (foto), incluyendo un benjamín. La calle es tranquila y sin ruidos, a pesar de estar dos calles por detrás de la zona de ambiente.
Baño con ducha, inodoro y lavabo (eché en falta estante en la ducha para colocar nuestros geles, champús y esponjas, y también algo más de encimera en el lavabo con la misma finalidad). Un gran televisor. Armario para ropa con caja fuerte. Frigobar con armario para cafetera y algo de utillaje de cocina. Terraza con una mesa de camping y dos sillas, tendedero para los bañadores. (Quizás alguna mesa más en la habitación le vendría bien). El colchón era confortable y el aire acondicionado mantenía la estancia en una temperatura agradable. La wifi bastante potente con lecturas del SpeedTest de 33,8 y 35,6 Mbps en subidas y bajadas respectivamente.

Das Wavia-Team hat meinen Urlaub gerettet! Nachdem ich einen Rucksack mit u.a. Laptop im Transfer-Taxi vergessen hatte, haben sie alles getan um ihn wiederzubekommen - was dann auch geklappt hat!!!
Alle sind superfreundlich und geben auch tolle Tipps wo man „lokal kanarisch“ essen kann... Die Tapas-Bars waren weltklasse!
Das Zimmer selbst war sehr schön, mit großem und jeden Tag mit Wasser neu gefültem Kühlschrank... Klasse! Das Hotel liegt am oberen Ende der Promenade in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße - also Top-Lage! Ich würde jederzeit dort wieder buchen!

El hotel está muy bien situado,en una calle lateral a la Playa de las Canteras y se puede escuchar el mar sin bullicio de la gente. Las habitaciones son amplias, agradables y las camas extremadamente cómodas. Tiene una minicocina con minibar, algunos utensilios calentador de agua y vitro de dos fuegos, por si quieres descansar de restaurantes.
Es un hotel muy nuevo y muy, muy limpio.
Pero su punto estrella es el personal. Muy amable, muy atento y muy eficiente dispuesto a informarte de todo y a hacer agradable tu estancia.
Sin duda un lugar para repetir.

En general le damos una puntuación general de muy bien, pero no excepcional como leimos en los comentarios. La habitación está muy bien, el trato del personal también muy bien pero el tema de los servicios ofrecidos por el hotel nos decepcionó mucho. Todos los servicios son externos y el único que es en el hotel, que es el spa no funcionó en los seis días que nos alojamos.
El desayuno muy decepcionante, NO lo recomendamos. Resulta que hay que ir a un restaurante cercano, donde se desayuna bien pero que sale más económico si vas directamente y no lo tienes pagado en el hotel. Con el voucher del hotel te ofrecen unos menús, y lo dicho si eliges allí yendo por tu cuenta te ahorras un dinero.
Lo del desayuno en la habitación otra cosa que nos decepcionó. Uno de los días teníamos que irnos de la habitación a las 9h a una excursión, como el restaurante del desayuno no abre antes, nos ofrecieron traernos el desayuno a la habitación a las 8:15h. Hasta ahí correcto, nuestra decepción cuando vemos que nos traen unos croassants y unos panecillos comprados el día anterior en el supermercado (venían con los propios envoltorios del super)...
