Advertised as having air condition but it did not work, spoke to reception who indicated it only works at night but even that didn't. Judging by the number of windows open we assume most rooms did not have the condition working!

It's fairly close to La Rochelle, a good place to stop over to use the airport. These inns are usually a little way out of the big towns but close enough to visit with ease. They are reasonably priced, and are clean and comfortable.

Found this conveniently located hotel to be an excellent place to break a journey. Located just off the highway and right next to a good restaurant, it was clean and well maintained, and cheap. Recommended for those who need a place to sleep before continuing their journey.

From other reviews (regarding lack of sound insulation), upon arrival we asked for a room as far away from the highway as possible. The hotel staff responded positively to the request. The room was spotlessly clean and the only noise was the closing of other hotel room doors.

The room was fine ...all to expected in a budget hotel...everything in the room worked fine.......there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke despite no smoking signs in the room. Close to steakhouse restaurant if you don't want to drive into the town.

Convenient location right next to the highway but very quiet. Extremely helpful staff: we arrived after reception desk hours but the machine outside wouldn't recognize the reference number, and the person who was here was really helpful and checked us in.

Using the word \"hotel\" to describe this place is a stretch of the definition and image I have always known. I have never before come across such a place. Sure it was reasonably clean, has air conditioning and so on, but the rooms are tin cans with no windows. They are like being in the bowels of a ship with no sense of the outside world. Not good for claustrophobics, certainly! So, if you really want to feel like a sardine in a stark minimalist metallic environment with the impending sense you may actually be served up with a salad, then this place is for you! :-) Enjoy.

This hotel was a classic case of you get what you pay for. In this case we got more. Both my partner and I were bitten all over our bodies by fleas. The hotel was very very basic and obviously the bedding was infested by fleas. It spoilt a wonderful visit to La Rochelle.

De plus, le thermomètre étant à -3°C à l'extérieur le froid envahit la chambre. Je suis ainsi obligé d'augmenter le chauffage malgré la couverture supplémentaire, pas très écologique logique.
Enfin, il ne coule qu'un filet d'eau tiède à la douche.

En revanche on a eu très froid toute la nuit car les convecteurs ne fonctionnaient pas et la clim soufflait de l'air ambiant et non du chauffage donc on a eu très froid avec une température de 0 degré dehors. Pas agréable ! De plus il y avait une seule prise dans toute la chambre ! Pas terrible du tout ...

Je suis resté 2 nuits avec mon fils. Étant donné que nous avons passé tout notre temps en extérieur et que nous rentrions à l'hôtel uniquement pour dormir, on va dire que c'était largement suffisant pour le besoin que nous avions.

Nous avons dormi une nuit à l’hôtel La Première Chaîne, avec notre fille, et ce fut une bonne surprise. Très bien localisé (proche axes routier et restos), avec une hôtesse d’accueil très sympathique, et une chambre très pratique, sans compter le prix qui bat toute concurrence ! Nous avons bien en tête de revenir !

Séjour gaché pas les fumeurs dans d'autres chambres! Aparament le systeme de VMC est connecter à huit chambres donc si quel-qu'un fume à coté c'est l'enfer!

Chambre petite propre mais douche exigue et très datée .Robinet reste dans la main et évacuation des eaux très très lente donc on inonde la douche et ça déborde dans la chambre .

J'attends le remboursement de la nuitée du 5 au 6 aout ainsi que le remboursement des deux petits déjeuners puisque j'ai quitté l'hôtel le 5 aout au matin.

Très bonne réception par le personnel.
Par contre chambre à rénover absolument : porte sdb qui ne fermait pas, lavabo pas en bon état, toilettes qui fuyait ( chasse d'eau à tirer plusieurs fois pour arrêter.
