From start to finish the stay was great. We arrived early on our bikes and they allowed us early access, and we could store the bikes safely. The room was spotlessly clean, super comfy, and whisper quiet. It’s a 10 minute walk to the old town.

Listed as having a restaurant, it should say dining area and choice of frozen foods which we can microwave for you. Breakfast was ok. Tea and coffee in room had no milk supplied and when enquired were told we could get some out of the vending machine. The bar consisted of a few bottles in a fridge in the same vein as the restaurant

The room was small and felt a bit cramped. Parking was not free, and the spaces were both limited and very tight, which made it hard to park. The hotel was also hard to find, located in an area with narrow streets that made driving tricky. Not the easiest place to stay, but okay if you don’t mind these challenges

The hotel has a lovely reception and lounge area that lead out to a well kept patio and lawn. The lounge also serves as the breakfast area. The staff were excellent - very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was quite plain and not particularly big but the bed was a good size and very comfortable. There were facilities to make coffee but paper cups and no tea and no milk, which you had ask for at reception. The parking was limited - 2 small areas with one free to park and the other behind a locked gate, for which you paid €12 a night. Felt like a safe area and easy 20 minute walk into the centre of La Rochelle.

All good except parking . No security parking left when we were there and the few spaces outside this but in the grounds where not managed and cars were parked badly. 2 extra cars should have been able to have been parked! Surely there should be in total the number of the rooms?

A great hotel for motorists or cyclists

The room was very comfortable with a range of options for pillow on the bed and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast included a good range of food which was regularly replenished. This is an excellent hotel for anyone driving or cycling to enjoy La Rochelle. Having come in by train however and needing to walk into the town centre the walk was quite long and there were no public transport options.

Excellent situated just on the edge of the centre with parking clean rooms wonderful and helpful staff. We were there during covid restrictions but breakfast was well organised, being ordered night before and brought out on trays.The only thing is maybe more english information on the leaflets in the rooms. I got what I paid for with the stay and can't complain in terms of the standards. Staff were okay but not anything special. One of the receptionists had a bit of an attitude problem which I didn't get from anybody else. However, the lady who checked me in was reallylovely and helpful and went through a map of la Rochelle with me which was nice of her.

Was a bit confused to see that when I got home the hotel had tried to take two rather large payments, one being nearly 80 euros, from my debit card.

I can't imagine why this would be as I pretty much cleaned the room myself before I left and was gone by 10am so I didn't have a late checkout.

Luckily as I only use the account for travelling, I had already cleared the account and received a notification when they tried to do this. I won't pursue this with them now but seems a bit dodgy to me.

Other than that I can't really complain. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning standards were pretty good.

Hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the harbour and the railway station. Ideal for us as we wanted to take the bus to Ile de Re from the station. A very good breakfast spread and has paid secure parking .

We didn't like the paper cups or plastic stirrers that were provided on the tea tray in the room. The stirrers softened and bent when inserted into hot liquid. Proper cups and teaspoons had to be smuggled into the room from the breakfast bar to provide normality. Only two small cartons of milk were provided each day which is insufficient, we had to keep asking reception for more milk.
There were no safety hand rails or anti slip mats provided in the shower.
The provision of a small fridge in the rooms would be most useful, particularly in extreme hot weather.

Good stay. Hotel within easy walking distance (15min) from city centre; not much around hotel itself. Parking available at hotel though limited but managed to get street parking too. Clean hotel; friendly staff. Only issue was aircon in our room wasn’t very effective so my husband had trouble sleeping. Asked reception about it who told us it was eyrkimg but compared to aircon in my in laws room it wasn’t great. I managed to sleep well; comfortable beds. Generally good stay

A resort not to be missed...

Town centre shops lie in midst of ancient towers and covered arched pavements with pedestrian zones opening to interesting lively old port and splendid path around and across water to view huge new harbour. With free parking at the hotel, each area of the town can be enjoyed on foot on different days - ports, beaches, towers, churches and gardens and always easy to return to the ammenities of the town and comfort of the hotel each day! Enjoy a varied and relaxing break in La Rochelle.

The staff at the hotel could not do enough for us, the staff were Elodie, Marion, Fanny and Melanie, they were such a hard working team, the company should be proud of, they didn't stop working. the rooms were clean and tidy and the air conditioning worked really well and was quite, the breakfast was very good and the same mentioned staff were always stocking up and as the breakfast didn't finish until 10.30am it was very relaxing, there was four of us and we stayed for a week.

The place was good, good size room and very clean, location wasn’t the best but ok, about 10 minutes walk from any point of interest, and no restaurant either, even though they have hot meals available, it doesn’t give you the restaurant experience that you want when you visit France.

Too close to train lines yet a bit too far from town. Good hotel that offers comfort at a reasonable price. Secure parking is handy.
First time writing a review for this site, odd that there's nowhere to list good and bad points?
Anyway, the shower was tucked into the corner of the bath, making getting clean a gymnastic task.
No fridge in the room. There is a kettle tho which is good.
I didn't try the breakfast, it looked the usual fare, muesli etc, that most hotels do.
The reception staff are good, extended my stay no problem and let me check out the night before departure.

The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main attractions, but the benefit of this is that it has free parking.
The hotel is modern and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but good value.
The member of staff that checked us in gave us a map and showed us the way to walk to the old town. She also recommended the best area to go for food.

Hotel is about 15 minutes from the train station by foot, no need to take taxi. The area felt very safe and was very quiet, although very easy walk to the center of town and all the sites. Good price for the area and close to the train station and city. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet but we didn't use it so can not comment on its quality. At times the WiFi service they use was a little difficult, especially for my smartphone...sometimes had difficult getting \"signed in\". Signal strength was good, though.

At first we felt the hotel was out of the city even though it advertiser that it's city centre,although it's not far to walk, ten minutes.

It was on a special price that included parking that was safe for a trailer or cycle carrier. Very good connections to the many cycle routes around the city. Worth staying.
