Even though fully paid before arriving using Tesco voucher and mastercard , I phoned to say you are billing me and its paid also sent an email to the hotel did not get a response.
After I checked out received another email saying I have been billed rang the hotel and they said they will refund it sent an email saying put that in writing yet again no response and when I got home several days later found nothing had been taken, reallt stressful and unesscary get your act together !

I upgraded to a supposed sea view a tree was in the way maybe you can see the sea in winter I ended up being on my own as my sister hurt her leg but she would have struggled with the stairs One night about 1 pm there was THUDDING AT THE DOOR WE WERE in an annex it was hard to sleep after that

If you have any mobility issue park in the public lot, the parking lot for the Rashleigh is grade 2 listed it is all cobbled and can not be smoothed over

I have stayed here lots of times in the past. The view from my room in T'Gallants was beautiful with views of the harbour and out to sea. Parking was free and there is ample parking in the car park.

Our room was lovely, well maintained, modern and very comfortable. We had a sea view room in the seperate building, it was a really large room. All the comfort and amenities you need. Central heating and a separate Dyson heater/fan for a quick injection! Great location, central to Charlestown and walking distance to the abundance of bars and restaurants in town. Best full English breakfast that I have been served this year. Currently on 62 hotel nights. Room was good. But lacking A/C and the room was roasting. Parking was cheap as the machine was out of order. Would stay again, not prefer a room towards the rear. Funny room names 😏

I didn't stay in the main building but a type of annex very close by. This was actually a benefit as no noise from the bar area and also fantastic views across Charlestown harbour from my window. The bedroom was clean, nicely presented and the bed very comfortable. The electric shower was a little casual for my liking but still functional and did the job.
The evening bar food and breakfasts were very good with a good range of beer albeit no Mena Dhu on draught!!

Staff amazing, helpful and friendly. Room nice but just standard. Shower needed a scrub. Shower room small. Stairs and 2nd floor stay, alot for my mother who is 79. Had to put heating on as room cold when we arrived. Cobbled carpark dangerous as no lights, so dark, nearly fell over few times, very off putting at night. Light to gate entrance to property also not working so again very dark.

Comfortable and hospitable near St Austell’s
Ours was a too short stay at the Rashleigh Arms en route to St Ives from London. This well appointed inn served as a comfortable and welcoming headquarters for our ten mile walk to Fowey. We even got the twin beds we asked for! - this is becoming increasingly difficult to come by as we travel. Everything was as clean as could be, though it would be better to get rid of the carpeting since it sets off folk like me who can’t help sneezing. However, the windows opened, which meant plenty of fresh air, so I came away fine. The bed and linens were perfection. I am not a connoisseur of washrooms, but I think it would be difficult to fault this one. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve enjoyed in 15 years of coming to the UK for walking trips. I must commend the maître d’ for knowing about the coastal path and advising on a good route out of the lovely village of Charlestown. We were also graciously assisted with securing a taxi to and from the St Austell train station, which is 1.5 miles away. Many thanks for the kind assistance!

The location is excellent for all facilities in Charlestown. The place is spotlessly clean and the room space was sufficient. The food in the Rashleigh Arms was really excellent quality and value. All that said, by far the best thing about the whole experience was the staff! Every single person is friendly, helpful and respectful. An absolute credit to the owners.

Great Hotel close to quaint harbour with lots of great restaurants, mostly all owned by St Austell Brewery it seems, but given quality on offer, does not seem a bad thing. Ideally placed for a trip to Eden Project. We were upgraded to rooms in a separate house which were very spacious and comfortable offering a view of the harbour and sea. Thoroughly enjoyed our few days there and would definitely use again when back in the area.

We only stayed one night, primarily to visit the Eden Project which was within close driving distance (around 10 minutes away). This was the perfect location, with a beautiful harbour and plenty of restaurants.

Fabulous 3 night stay in the Gig room which was spacios and delightfull. Staff were fantastic and very accomodating even getting us a table in the bar when the football was on. Food was delicious both for breakfast and dinnner. Location of this hotel is also wonderful. Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic location in this beautiful village. Breakfast very standard menu but well prepared and tasty. Only ate in the Rashleigh once but had a meal in their St Austell Brewery sister pub just down the road, The Pier. Food There was excellent and service there was just better organised.

Was t expecting to be staying in a “house” 100 yards away from the pub! Bathroom was possibly the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel and I’ve probably stayed in 50+. Menu was limited, most likely due to covid. Their Covid measures were good. Bed was comfy.

The hotel and staff were great. Upon arrival we got upgraded to the suite which had a sea view room, we couldn’t of been happier with the room it was beautiful. The bed was really comfy in itself the only downfall was the pillows were so hard it felt like I was sleeping on a brick 😂 The breakfast was great they had plenty of choices. I would return again, maybe just bring my own pillow.

Lauren? sorry! ) and Candace who booked taxis, gave directions, and found us a phone charger when we discovered we'd lost ours! Quiet and tranquil because the guest rooms are in a separate location (across the patio/parking lot) from the main pub, but good company, service and food when we wanted it. Thanks Rashleigh Arms!

We did not realise the room was in a house down the road and that we had to take our drinks back in torrential rain. We thought the room was above the pub. Also the rest of the house seemed to be taken up with a noisy wedding party who disturbed our sleep. Had we known this we would have stayed somewhere else.

Whilst the property was clean and tidy. The bathroom was incredibly small, and difficult to manoeuvre once the bathroom door was shut. We were situated above the front of the Rashleigh arms. On saturday evening we could hear the noise from the beer garden outside until closing time. The room that our friends were staying in across the hall was incredibly noisy, because of the extractor located outside their room on the flat roof. The extractor stayed on all night. They could also hear noise from persons downstairs in the pub. Their room was also very warm, but fortunately a fan was provided to help combat this.
Breakfast was provided both mornings we stayed and would be considered average. Items on the breakfast table had run out during service, and when asked if staff could bring out more we were initially told they had run out, there was still another hour until breakfast service would be finished. Croissants served at breakfast on the Sunday morning were fresh and light, but on Monday morning the same croissants were served and they were stale and over done.
On the Monday the cooked breakfast was served on a cold plate, and the food was barely lukewarm.

Charlestown is a vibrant seaside resort and the Rashleigh Arms is approximately 200 metres from the harbour. The rooms are separate from the hotel and nicely laid out. The standard doubles are slightly small for 2 people but ok for a weekend.
