Excellent hotel with lovely friendly staff who are always happy to be of help. The breakfasts are varied, bar meals and restaurant meals are all excellent. Great base for visiting Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and all the lovely coastal villages and towns this side golf Cornwall. Highly recommend.

The location, stay and amenities were great, just as expected. However, after 2 follow up calls and now over 3 weeks since our stay, the hotel still haven’t released our deposit (they take a £250 hold on check in). No-one bothers to reply. Poor customer service.

A lovely place in a beautiful setting with fab pool and spa areas.

We booked a premium room and for the price paid and considering the 4star rating I would have expected slippers to go with the bathrobes, a box of tissues in the bathroom and for the hospitality tray to be restocked daily. Small little things but noticeable as missing at that level.

Excellent standard for a dog friendly hotel. Whilst the team behind the bar could not of been friendlier and helpful a warmer welcome on arrival would have made the whole experience perfect.

Absolutely love the hotel, staff are wonderful, spa is one of the nicest we've been to, and treatments/masseuse staff by far the best out of any other places I've been to, only one downside to our stay is the beds aren't the most comfortable, we were in a superior double, but the king-size bed was two smaller beds pushed together so had a considerable dip in the middle, and the mattress springiness seemed to be on its way out so woke up a little sore.

Will definitely be returning though, it's a lovely hotel with lovely staff, nicer beds and it would be perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at The Cornwall Hotel & Spa and would happily return.

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and provided the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the facilities were great.

What really stood out during our stay was the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful. From reception to the spa, everyone made us feel welcome and valued as guests.

The spa facilities were a lovely bonus and provided a relaxing way to unwind after busy days sightseeing. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend The Cornwall Hotel & Spa to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Cornwall.

Generally it was a nice stay, we loved the balcony and size of them room. There were gluten free options available for my partner which was great as she has celiac disease.

I must say that it does seem understaffed, we had a staff member come into our room to deliver room service and she seemed very stressed. People are human, people get stressed. However, it is not something I want to worry about while at a hotel and spa.

When my partner and I first approached the spa front desk, the staff were not very inviting. They appeared inconvenienced to speak us through the spa, pool, etc. This put us off going for spa treatments which is what we were planning to do on one of our days at the hotel.

The women’s changing rooms before entering the pool were dirty. There were hair, bits of grub and dirt I could feel on my feet while walking through the place were not pleasant.

The pool looks bigger in photographs, so something to bear in mind. It is relatively small.

My partner and I paid for some room service, 1 cheese board and a ham sandwich. This came to almost 30 pounds.

The cheeseboard had 4 crackers and 3 bits of cheese on, while the ham sandwich looked like two pieces of cheap white bread, and half a handful of ham.

I was very excited for this trip away for my partners birthday but I don’t think it will be worth the visit to come again, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to enjoy our first small holiday together.

Hotel a little tired and requires decorations internally and externally refreshed. Needs more professional management to identify where staff need to keep on top of routine tasks expected of hotel charging this room rate level. Better management of breakfast required to ensure sufficient food available for full breakfast period. Breakfast should not be scaled down and cleared away before period has ended. Room checks should ensure all features in rooms are working before occupation rather than waiting for guests to check and report on malfunctions.

My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The hotel was well maintained, welcoming and presentable. The staff were very friendly too. The room was amazing - very comfy bed, spacious, airy, private balcony and very quiet too. The spa was brilliant too and we had a very relaxing bespoke massage in the couples room. For us, the only downside was the quality of the food. It was ok but a couple of the dishes were a bit greasy and overcooked which was a shame for the prices they were asking. Breakfast - there was plenty of choice, but again, no different to a national budget chain I’m afraid. We didn’t let the food disappoint us though, because overall it really was a lovely setting and a memorable stay!

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We booked 3 rooms as 4 adults and two children. Rooms were spacious and had a lovely balcony. We booked to be in next door rooms which was lovely. One of our party was a coeliac and the menu and staff gave food options which went down very well. The pool at the Spa was lovely and we all enjoyed a good few hours there. My only gripe was the mattress which was too soft for me, but everyone else were happy with theirs. An excellent two night stay and we would all go back. Thank you.

It was a little disappointing that there were no tissues in the room or bathroom. On Friday night we sat in the restaurant but on Saturday night we were put in the Tea Room which we felt there was a lack of atmosphere.

Lovely stay here - decent spa facilities, though we felt the pool could be cleaner... however it was easter school holidays and seemed busy. The hotel staff were all very helpful, and let us check-in early! We did not pay extra for breakfast or dinner, but the coffees we had here were also very nice. Gym was well-equipped with everything you could want for a decent workout, and not too busy at all considering they offer memberships external to the hotel. Overall, the location of this hotel was great, and very convenient to get around cornwall. Would stay again!

We stayed in a lodge and it was very spacious and clean. We used the spa which was nice and clean but the main part that will stick with me was the staff in the bar and restaurant. We had afternoon tea on the first day and a bar lunch on our second. Both times, with different staff, they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We had a good laugh with them all while having a few drinks without them being over indulgent. Would highly recommend The Cornwall to anyone. Great break and perfect service

I recently stayed at this hotel and used the spa facilities over two days, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
Accessibility was a major issue. The lift does not reach all room levels, which meant carrying my suitcase up around 30 stairs despite having joint issues. I had called in advance regarding my disability, so this was particularly frustrating, although the receptionist was helpful and offered to move our room. Clearer accessibility information before booking would have helped.
The spa itself was not the relaxing experience we expected. There were a large number of children in the spa area (9am – 7pm), including in the main facilities. While I understand hotels welcome families, especially in half term, many guests book spa experiences specifically for peace and relaxation. The noise levels and general atmosphere felt more like a leisure centre than a spa.
Additionally, what was advertised as a “Bubble Pool”, was not a hot tub, which was misleading particularly disappointing as it is often one of the main features people look forward to when booking a spa, especially when needed for or hydrotherapy purposes.
Overall, the experience did not reflect the relaxing spa break that was advertised.

The room was very dated and freezing especially the bathroom .also.there was maintance going on so.the path from.the car park.was closed and you had to walk.an age to.get to.the reception as was onky.parking.for.disabled at.front of reception . Wr asked reception to.book.us a taxi.for.later in the evening as had a table boomed for a meal.at a restraunt ad the food in hotel.was not.great previous night and when we came.down we was waiting for the taxi.arrive only.for the reception lady to say oh i forgot to book the.taxi sorry and we ended up being.late to.our table . Would.not.stay here again

This was my second time here an it wasn’t as good as the first time but we did stay and are in the lodges the last time. Although the food looked good my pasta was chewy/tough and not cooked and my partners curry didn’t look great and the rice was burned.

The pool is ok. Not as warm as I would have liked after visiting many spas. The “bubble pool” sadly felt like a cold broken jacuzzi. Really not on par with many spas in Cornwall.

The staff were lovely though as was our room. I wouldn’t come back paying full price. Possibly in an offer.

Everything was excellent! All of the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and attentive. We used the bar, restaurant, reception, and spa. We stayed in two rooms both were very nice rooms and very clean and comfortable. The bar was very cosy with a fabulous log fire and the service was excellent. The food was very good in the bar and the restaurant. The pool and facilities were very clean and warm. All in all a wonderful stay. Will definitely recommend and return.

We arrived at 4.15pm to find our room wasn’t ready so they changed it to a room that was made up. At 7.00am when we wanted to go to the swimming pool we realised we only had 1 robe and no slippers. Then when I went for a shower we found we only had 1 bath towel and I hand towel. Also it would have been nice to have been told that going to the spa involved a walk outside. The shower gel in our room was empty.

Beautiful and spacious room, decor on point and really lovely. The rest of the hotel is in need of a bit of updating, with some wallpaper missing from the wall, scuffs here and there etc.

The spa has the potential to be really nice. The pool is great but the sauna was out of service (I understand from another guest that this had been the case for at least a couple of weeks) and the steam room had no steam! The jacuzzi was borderline cool… can’t comment on the spa treatments as I didn’t have any.

The restaurant was great - had dinner one night which was superb. The breakfast was slightly limited but very tasty.

Wife went to use bath towel for first time and found it stained and ripped.
The following were out of order: sauna, costume dryer, lift in spa area. Steam room was not working properly.
Bed lights in the room flickered on and off.
Balcony chairs were damaged.
Stains in room carpet - looked like it had never been steam cleaned.
No lift to floor where room was situated.
There is no lighting on road entrance to hotel.
