Views are immaculate, great service, and decent hotel food. One thing to note, it’s quite a walk and no side walks on part of the journey to the center town. If you are planning to bring a car it won’t be an issue or you don’t mind walking 2-3 miles to get to the center town or you don’t mind paying for taxis.

Breathtaking views of Toledo from my room's balcony. Some of the best water pressure in a shower I've found in Western Europe. Friendly and helpful staff. The only disappointing note was, sadly, the dinner service, of which I had heard great things. The food was fine, but not outstanding. Service was spotty in the dining room. Hopefully, we just caught them on a bad night. Still, this is the place to stay if you visit Toledo.

Your restaurant/menu for breakfast and other meals were limited, not good, not balanced. The scrambled eggs looked and tasted like war rations. Upgrade. You're causing people to leave the premises to find good food. Yours should be a destination restaurant. Hire a chef! Create a different healthier lunch menu and your dinner menu should be different from your lunch menu. Your food was actually awful, truth be said.

Emplacement magnifique alors que la ville est à vos pieds depuis la terrasse. Belle et grande chambre avec balcon avec vue sur la piscine et sur une partie de la ville. Salle de bain spacieuse. Rideaux obscurcissants très efficaces. Restaurant le soir bien, sans plus, avec un service un peu relâché.

Il vous faudra prendre une voiture ou un taxi pour aller à Tolède. En taxi, comptez environ 12 euros pour un trajet. Au retour, allez à l'Alcazar pour attraper un taxi en attente. Si vous voyagez le soir, si vous avez des bagages, ou que vous appelez un taxi pour venir vous prendre à un endroit précis, il y aura un supplément.

The second night was more chaotic, waiting 40 minutes to take the order and then receiving the main course before the starters. Staff in the end realised we were not all that impressed. Once we finished it was all fine and they gave us a complimentary drink. Overall, interesting and magical location overlooking Toledo. Short taxi ride in meant we did not need to use our car. Interesting city and plenty to see. Would recommend it as an accessible location to base your visit.

Limited menu in restaurant, some dishes very expensive. No separate bar - all drinks available in coffee shop so not ideal for having a relaxing drink. Great terrace but no service provided at this time of year.

Staff is very unfriendly, rude, grumpy. Front desk people hate you since you walk in. Staff at the breakfast buffet is the worst. You have to beg to be served some eggs or anything you need. Servers disappear constantly during breakfast time and everyone is going around trying to find someone that can assist them. Its terrible. Food isn’t that good anyway. The only staff that was nice was at the evening restaurant. Only there people are nice and service is good.

Great view of Toledo

We arrived on a hot day in May but the hotel refused to turn on the air conditioner as it was still getting cool at night. They had no fans either. They told us to open our \"window\". Except we had a balcony so the first night we opened our door (didn't feel very safe doing so) and were eaten up by mosquitos and the birds woke us at 6am. Nor would they be opening the pool until mid June.
Also, the bed was too firm for my comfort.
We also had a room over the outside cafe and people were loud all day and into the night, with 2 parties going on during our stay...so no siesta! Get a room over the dining restaurant instead.
The paradore is not inside the walls of Toledo (on a hill overlooking Toledo) but a short taxi ride is easily available. Lots of walking and hiking options too.
All that said, it is a beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms, an amazing view of Toledo, and nice staff.

Fantastic views of Toledo during the day and night. Sitting on the terrace overlooking Toledo in the evening having drinks and dinner very romantic. Changing of the evening light and setting sun perfect vantage point. El Greco and a British artist David Bomberg painted views of Toledo from a similar vantage point.

This is a gorgeous hotel with almost certainly the best view in Toledo. It sits on a bluff overlooking the old city and I believe all rooms are on the city view side of the building. Room was spacious; massive by European standards. Bathroom had a combo shower/bath, toilet and bidet, two sinks, blow dryer. Room had a couch and two beds side-by-side, tv with free wifi instructions (and remote in sanitized bag), desk, mini bar refrigerator, mini safe. A hot water maker was provided with tea bags or instant coffee. Large and spacious tiled lobby is nice. Dinner restaurant was outstanding, but note first seating is not until 8:30pm (standard in Europe but late for us Americans). My only complaint is there was some noise from the bar/cafe area directly underneath my room (it came through the door which needs better sealing). In spite of this it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and would be my choice if I ever return.

Everything about this place was perfect with the exception of one bad experience at dinner. My husband’s soup was served with my entree, and then he had to ask for the entree twice. It was delivered well after I had finished eating, with a really bad attitude on the part of the server. With that being said, we loved the parador and will definitely retuen.

Breathtaking view Toledo

If you want a breathtaking view for an evening dinner this is the place. I have found only about a dozen places in the world that I would say have a view of the city like this. (Prague Castle, London Tower, Rome, Paris) Plan to sit outside as the sun sets and have a slow 2 hr relaxed dinner. Don't try and eat dinner while the sun is out because there are natural bees in the summer that love the food. (Especially honey with cheese)



Covered parking is a nice touch to not get in a hot car. You only need 1 full day in this town. However, staying here allows you to escape the town and just enjoy yourself. You will need to drive into the town and that only takes about 5-7 min.



The rooms are comfortable and very good size with simple decor. The bathrooms are large, so you won't feel you are lacking space. The AC in the room works fine but you need to close the balcony door to make it work.

I plan to go through this way again just to stay a night and have the view. I do wish the pool was open later because, after a long day in the city, a night dip would be great!

Check out the other Paradors also they seem to all have some type of charm like this.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in in Europe, which includes visits to over 10 countries. The room was large, well furnished, and very comfortable. The views of Toledo were extraordinary. We parked just outside the entrance. The breakfast buffet was first rate. The desk staff arranged for taxis into the old city. The ride in and out are via a beautiful route through the river valley and well worth the 9€ fee; you do not want to drive yourself through any of the old Spanish cities. Finally, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. This is the place to stay when visiting Toledo.

It's all about the location, the view across the city is amazing. The hotel has a nice feel to it and our room was lovely and spacious. There was plenty of parking. As others have mentioned the food was slightly disappointing and the service could have been sharper in both the restaurant and the bar, breakfast was good though.

This is another lovely property in the Parador group. The location is spectacular overlooking the medieval city of Toledo. Many of the rooms have balconies overlooking the city. The hotel is, though, not in the city but a cab ride away. The property has a pool. The staff is quite helpful.

Parador with a special view

On arrival we were greeted very warmly at reception and directed to our room. The whole place oozed cleanliness, and probably the most diligent of all hotels I’ve stayed in the past two years. The linen and towels were luxurious and all fixtures and fitting relatively new. The evening meal was a little disappointing. Doors only opened at 8:30pm with a limited menu. The food looked OK but did not live up to the standards set by the rest of the hotel. The serving staff were also very hurried with their service, cold in manner and we felt like we were being rushed through the whole dining experience. This particular Parador is located across the river from Toledo and very quick and easy to get to when driving North to Santander. The views across the valley to the town we spectacular.
