Tewinbury never disappoints ! This is oir 4th visit and weve stayed in 4 different rooms every room is beautiful, always clean the views are stunning ! The staff are always ever so friendly, so helpful and informative. The food is absolutely delicious!! Cant recommend Tewinbury enough !! There was a soul singer for entertainment she was outstanding and would love to listen to her again !!

Room was much smaller than expected.
Stable bar was very quiet, more like a coffee shop on the Friday night.
We booked the lakeside hut, which I thought was secluded, & we told to turn music down at 11pm on a Friday when using the small radio provided & told by reception it was after midnight. I believe this was the neighbours complaining as it appears perhaps the room has been split in to two properties with 1 extremely thin wall. We could hear them turn their light switch on in the morning. The receptionist was lovely checking in & super helpful, but the receptionist on Saturday was rude & aggressive & basically called me a liar & saying that the phone call I had with her 10 minutes before ‘those words never came out of my mouth’ which they did. I was very upset & also extremely shocked as we are used to staying in 5 star hotels all over the world & I’ve never been spoken to like this before by a receptionist, total disrespect & awful customer service. The service in the restaurants was very slow & most of the staff seemed like they didn’t care. It’s an absolutely beautiful place but the staff need customer service training. This is really not how I expect to be treated when staying at, what we expected to be a high end retreat. It was our 1 year wedding anniversary & we felt really disappointed. We’d love to comeback but the way I was the felt like I was a school child being spoken down to. Really disappointing. The beautiful scenery was amazing however.

The apartment, restaurant, staff, location and free EV charging were all amazing.

Unfortunately however, our family room was directly next to the events hall which had events running until late at night. Very music was incredibly loud and kept our children uo. unfortunately had to ask drunken partygoers to not scream and shout outside our door at 2am. As the hotel was fairly quiet I would have hoped they'd move us to a different location.

If we had a different room this would have been a perfect getaway.

Stayed in the little huts at the top of the hill. Really well kitted out. Underfloor heating so the cabin warmed up fast. Would be good if you had dogs because you can just let them straight out.

Evening meal was really nice. Could have eaten everything off the menu. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Didn't use the gym but it has enough for you do do a work out and get a sweat on.

Would stay here again.

We had a truly lovely and relaxing stay at Tewinbury Farm. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and calm—perfect for unwinding.

The staff were exceptional throughout. Reception were genuinely helpful, and the bar and restaurant teams carried themselves with confidence and warmth. The rooms were beautifully maintained and cleaned to a very high standard, which made a real difference to our comfort.

We appreciated the variety of food options and the thoughtful layout of the property—family-friendly, yet with quiet corners for those seeking peace. It’s a rare balance, and Tewinbury gets it right.

Two team members who really stood out were Rob, whose professionalism was matched by his warmth, and Milky, a kind and happy presence who brought genuine joy to our experience.

Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so restorative. We’ll be back.

Was so amazing i had to go back a month later!

Honestly cannot speak highly of Tewinbury Farm Hotel and The lake view cabins they are such an amazing experience for just unwinding and having nature just on your doorstep. The cabin has everything you want, the bath tub is great to relax in and overlook the lake and then once your relaxed there head to the bed and enjoy a very comfortable bed. Already wanting to go back there and the staff went above and beyond giving me the Cornflower room which is the room i stayed previously and requested to stay there again which they fulfilled. Book the room now you wont regret it!

What can i say about Tewinbury Farm Hotel other then WOW!!

Its such a lovely place and was my second stay here.

First stay was in the Lincoln red room with the hot tub and was lovely however this time i wanted to try one of the Lake huts and was giving the Cornflower hut and i was not disappointed in the slightest.

The cabin is surprisingly spacious and is very well thought out with a great view over the lake and the alfresco bath tub which was amazing.

I would highly recommend spending a night in once of these huts as it really did feel like a special place.

This was very much a last minute job, we were travelling home from 2 days in that London and were worn-out. This was in fact the only place we could find that wasn't either booked up or cost outrageous money. Although, the directions link on the Expedia app took us to the middle of nowhere so we had to phone the lovely people at the hotel for help. When we got there we were surprised it was a much bigger and better place than we expected. Would definitely go again.

Great hotel but disappointed this time

On our 2nd visit in recent months we were again impressed with the decore and cleanliness of the rooms. However with one or two small issues during this stay it has left us feeling less likely to come back again.

We were in a bit of a rush on check in as we were leaving for a party, so failed to notice the lack of curtains in our room, this became more of an issue on our return and at first light as the shutter blind was not sufficient the darken the room. Annoying for the price paid for the room. Even more disappointing when I reported it on check out to the reception team and showed a photo, despite there apologies there was no compensation or goodwill gesture granted. Will be in two minds to stay again next time.

It’s Christmas……

We had an amazing stay in the Kingsbridge House. Gorgeous. Went for drink in the Bar stable and even went to see the Xmas winter lights trial. Lovely set up with outdoor bars/food fire pits/blankets and sofas. Such a lovely atmosphere. Nice late check out in morning plus a good breakfast too. Everyone so friendly. We will be back again.

Amazing get away!

Stayed in the Lincoln red room and it was lovely. Airconditioned which was need in the 29 degree heat, private hot tub just a few steps away in your own court yard. The room was nice and clean, bed was firm but comfortable and there was even a mini fridge with a selection of drinks which was a nice touch.

Only issue two issue came up which was on arrive i ended up missing reception as there was a vehicle parked up out side that was blocking the sign, i was also taking alot of the surrounds it was so pretty and i would part blame myself for missing reception but there was also no sign on the main door the separates the rooms so didnt really know where the room was but the staff were super helpful in finding reception and the room.
The other issue was the shower, the shower head was a little lose and meant the water pressure made the shower head turn and ended up soaking the floor or the bathroom, again not a big issue just something to be mindful of.

Overall its an amazing place to stay and i would very much recommend it even for a day out as the restaurant looked very good.

I stayed at the property for one night due to attending a wedding at the venue.

The hotel room was great. It was clean, modern with a rustic appearance. It has all the wanting amenities that were of high standard, however I do think the rooms were slightly on the smaller side and as such, I feel the price per night for the double room we had was slightly on the larger side.

It’s super convenient for events on side and the grounds and surroundings are beautiful.

It’s about a 3 minute drive to the nearest town and mainline train station but the location itself is somewhat seclude and private.

I would recommend the location and would happily stay again.

Lake Hut: stunning, peaceful setting.

We stayed here for a wedding with 2 small furry friends and had such a great break. The lake hut is set in a truly stunning location. The Al fresco tubs (note: not a hot tub) was a wonderful place to enjoy the surroundings. The lake hut itself is pretty small but fine for 2 people for a short break. If we’re in the area again then I wouldn’t hesitate on staying here again.

We stayed in a cosy room, which turned out to be surprisingly big. The cosy aspect seems to come from the small double bed, which was less than a standard. It was a nice room with exposed beams and it was very clean.

However, we were awoken several times by cars and people walking past as soon as the sun rose. Despite being on the first floor and checking that the windows were indeed double glazed, it was as if our windows were open with how loud everything was.

We stayed in a \"woodland hut\" at Tewinbury, but I think the word \"woodland\" in this case is quite a stretch. I was expecting the cabin to be surrounded by trees, but there's only a couple of trees in front of the hut, which was in the middle of the other two woodland huts. The woodland on site which you can then go for a walk in (which you have to go all the way around to get to unless you hop a fence) is more of a copse with a walkway and plastic animals scattered about.

Apart from the absence of woodland for our woodland hut, we had a really nice stay (we only stayed one night in the hut and had the following night in the hotel as we booked too late for two consecutive nights).

The hut is super cosy and quiet with the doors closed. The only downside would be that there was no table or surface to prepare food or put a plate on. There's no table outside either apart from two tree stumps, which is really cute but it was a little annoying when trying to dish up our bacon and eggs! There's also no essentials such as salt, pepper or cooking oil. Only a little milk for the coffee.

I would definitely stay there again if I was looking for a farm hut rather than a woodland hut, or to visit the alpacas again :)

Tewinbury Farm has always been my go to when going to see family in the Welwyn Garden/Hertford area. The rooms are a good size, modern and immaculate. Their housekeeping staff do a great job. Several options for food throughout the day. Full English breakfast buffet every morning at the \"cowshed\" made for a great start to each day. Will stay there again and highly recommend.

A perfect detox after New Year. We’re going back!

Tewinbury was one of the loveliest stays we’ve had as a couple. From the moment you check in at reception to check out, all staff are friendly, chatty, helpful and can never do enough for you.

Only minor issue was that our bath plug didn’t work properly so having a bath would’ve been difficult. However, the lovely cleaner dealt with it instantly got on to maintenance. Within no time at all, it was resolved. Very impressed.

There was plenty of places to go to on the one site. We had drinks and food in the Cowshed. There’s a separate art & piano bar, the Farm Shop and café, the lounge where we played board games and you have the animals you can visit where we fell in love with the piggies.

In the morning, the room cleaning trollies were a little loud around 8am, due to the cobbled/bricked pavement. It woke us up one of the mornings but isn’t a big issue. Maybe something for them to look at with less-metal cleaning caddies or trollies.

The breakfast was outstanding both mornings though. Which made waking up easier. The produce tasted local and quality. The eggs were always spot, the sausages were next level, the tea and coffee hit the spot every time.

We walked around the grounds, to the animals and up to the little church one morning which was a lovely change and would recommend. The standards of the surrounding farmland/fencing/gates is up there with the best.

Overall, we’ll be going back and have already thought about a larger family gathering there.

We needed a place to stay as we were going to an event in Ware. When searching for Hotel , TewinBury just looked stunning and we had to stay there !
Everything about the hotel made us so happy the gatekeeper room - stunning , members of staff at reception- wonderful, service and food at the Stable bar - outstanding, beds - We didnt want to get out if it , night staff - so helpful and kind bringing extra bottles of water at midnight , breakfast- WOW , check out - easy, helpful ...we didnt want to leave !
We will be back to enjoy the full potential of the hotel and will be looking to hire out a venue for a birthday party next year !!
This is our new favourite place and will be recommending to EVERYONE!

There was a mix-up with our room. We booked a Deluxe Double with king size bed - supposed to be ground floor with a patio. We were given a standard double on the first floor - with a small uncomfortable bed. It seems that someone with a similar name was given our room, and we were given theirs, set up with towels, soap etc for one person not two. All we can do now is try to ensure the rate we are charged on check-out is reduced.

We enjoyed our short stay here. The facilities are certainly unique and look to be well suited to large gatherings too. the food we had was excellent and we also enjoyed the live piano. The one small complaint was that the wifi wasn't really accessible in our room. It worked well in other areas around the site though.

We stayed in the Lakeside room with a hot tub. It was a lovely, food in all the restaurants was excellent. Managed to take a walk too around the surrounding villages. Recommended!

What an amazing place! 5 stars all round. It’s so lovely here, in every way. The facilities are amazing (great bar, cafe, shop, restaurant, etc. The whole place is immaculate. Stayed in a shepherd’s hut overlooking a small lake. Perfect setting. Great breakfast. Can’t fault this place. We’ll be back!
