The was a red roof inn with a name change!! Still said Red Roof Inn in some places. The photos on line are not what it is and it’s over priced!! Water damage on the ceiling, not very clean or well maintained. Only good thing is the area it’s located was good, however for the cost of the room could have got a lot better place!

Smells like cigarettes and Marijuana as soon as you walk in the door. The bedrooms are super outdated and mold was found on the bathroom mirror. When asked for a refund it was refused. HANDS DOWN THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOTEL STAY IVE EVER BEEN TOO and I've been to alot.

Hotel is very clean and you can see how they are working to give it a face-lift, but my main complaint is that when we ask for additional towels and pillows/cases (we had 3 people staying in a room with only 2 towels, washcloths, and hand towels), we were told they didn't have extras. Also, when requesting additional toilet paper, we were given 1 roll. Upon check out, we requested a receipt and it showed we were charged $0 dollars and told we were not charged for our pet, but when reviewing my credit card statement, I was charged the appropriate $20/day (I would have liked to see the hotel receipt for my records showing this charge, but again, received a copy showing we were charged $0).

Checked in late (after 9PM) and had 3 people staying in a King Suite w/Sofa bed. We went to front desk to request an extra blanket and pillow, and was told they did not have any to provide. We also only had 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washclothes for 3 people. Also, since we had 3 people staying in the room with 1 bathroom, we went to use the bathroom in the lobby area and was told it was closed to the public. We explained that we were guest and still they refused to let us use the bathroom. Overall, the hotel is clean but the management/staff were not helpful and somewhat rude to say the least.

This was one of the grossest hotels I have stayed at in a very long time. The first room we were given had stains in the bathtub and mold in the crevices of the tub wall, with no air ventilator. The mirrors had black smudges on the frames, and so did the a/c unit, which I imagine are also mold. Both beds had stained sheets. The second room was the exact same, but less intense. I pulled back the sheet, and there was a big yellow pee stain on it.Absolutely disgusting. The hallway we stayed in smelled, and the floor was littered with plaster bits. I would have left the hotel, if my plans allowed but we did not have enough time in our schedule to move to a new hotel. This is NOT a hotel, it’s a motel, and a poor quality one at that. Would not stay again.

Our room was very nice with a beautifully upgraded bathroom. Other parts of the hotel are under renovation and materials/ supplies are in evidence. This seems to be a work in progress and a small family run operation. Breakfast was good and the high point of our stay was the automatic pancake machine!

Booked my stay over a month in advance, requesting a first floor room due to my dog usually needing to go out to potty during the night. They told me there were no rooms available on the 1st floor when I checked in. First they were going to give me a 2nd floor room & then the guy at check in changed it to 3rd floor- the farthest room from the elevator. Thank's alot!

The pool was also extremely disappointing. Based on the photos and description, I expected something much larger. In reality, it felt more like an oversized backyard kiddie pool than a hotel pool.
The complimentary breakfast was one of the worst I’ve experienced. The eggs appeared to be microwaved, several pieces of equipment were not working, and the overall selection and quality were poor.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. Someone spilled milk in the elevator, and it remained there long enough to sour and smell by the following morning. Seeing spilled milk sit overnight in a heavily used elevator does not inspire confidence in the hotel’s cleaning standards.
To make matters worse, one of the employees we encountered was rude and unhelpful.

Check in was confusing and about a 2 -3 hours after arriving, they gave the same room to another guest and they were able to unlock and walk into our room. The desk person demanded I come to the front desk with my ID and asked me if I checked in and if I had paid for my room.

The room was not bad besides no exhaust fan in bathroom so when you showered the walls and floors were wet from condensation. The refrigerator stunk like something died in it. Breakfast was alright had eggs and bacon but the pancake machine ran out of mix and no one knew how to change it. Owners barely speak English so its hard to communicate. Overall for the money it was ok.

The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. At night, it was quiet and easy to get to sleep. The door to the room did not close all the way by itself. So we had to be careful to make sure to push/pull the door all the way so we wouldn't inadvertently leave the door open and unsecured.

Lovely stay. My only complaints were loud music coming from next door since the walls were thin. Comforter and mattress cover were stained, but they were still CLEAN, make no mistake. Room and bathroom were very clean overall. I loved that the curtains actually blocked light from the window unlike other places I know. Fresh towels and trash were replaced quickly by room service, much to my delight.

The staff was very helpful; they fixed the light over the bed. But the icemaker on the first floor doesn't work, so you have to go up to the third floor to get ice. The grounds are somewhat trashy. The breakfast is junk food. But the staff compensates for the negatives by being friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The A/C unit was loud, but it helped to cover the noise from the other guests. Overall, I would say that it's a pretty decent value for the money. The rate on the weekend is lower than what you will find in Sandusky, where the rates are high due to the summer tourist season.

Don't be fooled by the pictures (from way better days) and the nice description! This is a tired and worn-out old red roof (not a great starting place), and it's only gone downhill under private management. Filthy, smelly, poorly maintained. Even the breakfast managed to be worse than the \"low bar\" of a typical chain hotel offering. Be aware this place accepts pets along with off-putting pet odors everywhere and barks and whines during the night. Way too expensive for the quality level.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay for the price. Our room was larger than average, clean and everything worked well. The beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was more than continental and included bacon and eggs. The automatic pancake maker worked well too. The staff was friendly and we will most likely be staying there on our return trip.

This is an older hotel that used to be a Red Roof Inn. They are making some renovations: in our room we had a new granite sink, new toilet, vinyl flooring (except around beds), fridge, and microwave. The tub was older & shows years of wear that makes it look unclean, maybe reglazing or a chemical cleaning will resolve the issue. The beds were comfortable. However, the sheets were worn/stained. Management promptly changed sheets when we asked. Towels were bright white and looked brand new. A/C worked well and shower water was hot and had good pressure. Breakfast was available. Overall, the hotel served our quick 2 night stay needs and budget.

The fire alarm was going off, the staff walked into my room unannounced while my young daughters were undressed! Twice he did this. Fridge didn't work. No trash cans. Overall horrible

The description on Expedia said there was a pool. There was no pool. We didn't see it. Breakfast was not good. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything from the rooms next to us and the rooms above. This made for a sleepless night. The light over the bed was out. The bathroom door did not close all the way. The sign inside the door still said Red Roof Inn, though it is not any more. The sign outside said to wear masks and practice social distancing, a remnant from the Covid pandemic years ago. Overall, this property is not kept up very well.

The hotel is very old. The ceiling in our room showed signs of previous water damage that was not repaired. The windows of the entry doors were filthy. The toilet was loose and moved when you sat down. The room was quiet until someone allowed their door to slam shut due to improper adjustment of the door closer. Housekeeping emptied the garbage but did not make the bed or leave fresh towels. When I checked out the gentleman at the desk didn't say a word, just gave me a thumbs up,lol

The room was not finished. Bathroom mirror was off the wall and when we went up the the front desk the told us to move it. The pull out mattress was falling apart holes it in with the stuffing come out stains on the mattress that look like blood the size of a baseball. No garbage can in the room. We put 3 dollars in the vending machine and realized it was empty asked if we could our money back and we were told no. Took 30 minutes to get hot water in the shower. Because the soap was on the mirror we had to go in the other room to have soap to wask our hands.

Our first impression of the hotel was good; clean lobby with vending machines. Once we settled into our room we checked out the pool. The pool & regular towels were the size of my adult torso. The entrance to the pool was through a broken glass door and a construction zone. The pool was below freezing. My daughter’s lips turned blue after a few minutes. That evening we received 3 “prank calls” from other residents in the hotel. We were told to unplug our phone by the front desk. Breakfast in the morning was subpar. Eggs were frozen patties & most food was gone by 8am. Employees were seen sitting and eating FULL plates of food while guests went without. While guests were checking in he would approach them with a full mouth of food. Another guest helped my husband and daughter use the pancake machine while the employee sat and ate. Other guests had their children running around half naked inside and outside, cussing. The occupants above us kept dropping stuff at all hours of the night. Police were called the night before we left. The next morning another guest was screaming in the main lobby about “whooping their kids a**” during breakfast and later loudly complaining in the hallway. The front desk clerk asked her and her children running around in diapers to go back to their room. Upon further inspection the blanket was stained with what looked like coffee. We checked out shortly after that. The only redeeming quality was the A/C unit. Will not be returning.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and check-in, and our room was ready right away. We paid for a suite via Hotels.com but were given a non-suite at check-in. We were tired from a long day of traveling, so I didn't want to make a big deal of it, and we just stuck with the regular room. This turned out to be such a big mistake, not becuase we really needed the extra space of the suite, but because the man in the room next to us was talking/yelling on speaker phone calls well past midnight, and the smell of smoke coming from his room was so strong that our eyes were stinging (the walls seemed paper thin). So, if we had requested the suie we paid for, we would have been away from that guy and would have had better sleep. The condition of the room was passable, definitely worth the low price that we paid for it. The hotel seems to be in the middle of a renovation, so I'm optimistic that it will be in better shape a year from now. For now, it seems like a solid option for emergency long-term stays or quick in and out overnights. Overall, my only real complaint is our obnxious neighbor, which isn't the hotel's fault.

We ended up not staying at the hotel. When we arrived it was clear they are undergoing renovations and we didn’t want to be there during that process. Our reservation was booked with a nonrefundable rate, but the gentlemen at the front desk refunded us for our stay without hassle. We were in the area for a couple of days looking at colleges with our oldest kid. If they end up attending school nearby, we will definitely stay after the renovations are completed.

Bathroom is not a bathroom. Pool was not at the temp the clerk told me it was. It was actually cold and not at °82 like I was told . Had to get my own coffee cups for my room their were none. Bathtub does drain well at all when showering water fills up in the tub. Wall around shower stall needs alot of repair.
