Stay was absolutely shocking. Raves in rooms next door till 2.30, then arguing till 4.30 and staff wouldn't remove them.

Room was dirty, poorly lit and boasts about \"bedside plugs\" which won't exist. Was told my daughter could go swimming. But upon entry was declined as they required me to go in, although I couldn't for medical treatment.

Do not recommend if you want to sleep, rooms need sound proofing. Could hear word for word what neighbouring rooms were saying drunkenly at 1am, 2am and 3am. Could feel every door closing and talking in the corridors. Then when I finally got to sleep planned on a lay in, however 8am Sunday morning the gym “Rave” began!

Booked a two night stay, on arrival was greeted by two loud parties happening, so loud I couldn't communicate with the reception staff to check in, the music carried on thumping away till 3am.
I'm staying for work so could have done with a decent night's sleep, just finished work and come to the hotel for the second night and another party booming away, I'm on the second floor but it's still very loud! Obviously sound insulation wasn't a thing when the hotel was built.
The rooms very dated, and the light switch near the door in my room is broken so you are welcomed into the room in darkness thumbling around the for a second switch by the bed in the pitch black.
The breakfast was good however and the staff are nice but don't expect a peaceful night's sleep.

We paid for a family room that had clearly had smokers in there. We were then asked to move to a different room with a single sofa bed, this room had not been cleaned, towels on the floor, toilet paper on the floor, bin full of rubbish, stains on the bed. This place felt run down, well in need of a makeover.

Please do not stay here on a weekend if you have a young family and actually want to sleep. There was a Xmas party on at the hotel the noise from the disco was unbearable in the room. Felt like I was in the party. Could hear all words to every song. Lights in room were flickering, reported them and no one came. Avoid!!!

Check in and check out was very quick. Staff were very friendly. Got upgraded for free to a larger room which was nice.
Shower and bathroom were great, clean and spacious.
Parking was a little difficult as it was busy, and there are no plug sockets by the bed, just USB connections. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Room was a bit dated and you could hear everything. From about 3pm till around 11:30 was constant banging music plus the extremely thin doors and walls means I could hear everything, doors banging, shouting, kids running around. Had to sleep in my AirPods. No control over heating just a Dyson fan that had seen better days so when it was turned on it made a constant rattling noise. I used to live just round the corner from here and it had a good reputation so not sure what’s happened.

Very well appointed for the price . Thought we had an issue trying to contact hotel to let them know we were going to be late for table reservation at 9pm having driven 5 hours . Phone just kept ringing out . However wonderful bar staff managed to cconjur a meal for us right at 9-20 after kitchen was closed . Excellent service

Free parking on the Saturday was great and meant we could leave the car before we checked in and head into Manchester. We came back to check in at 10:30pm and did check in via the screens. Not the easiest check in but not too hard to do. One staff member showed up as we just finished check in. Got to the room to find a not so nice stain on the bed. The bathroom wasn’t too clean either so did not use the shower. Went down to reception to get someone to change bedding but had to wait over 10 minutes for a staff member to be present. He did however change the bedding in our room promptly and was very friendly.
The rooms were spacious and the bed was so comfy. Unfortunately the noise from the wedding in the evening, and the gym sessions in the morning kept us up late and woke us up early.
Location was perfect for us and with a bit more cleanliness and less noise this would have been a perfect stay.

The room only had 2 desk lamps by the bed and no lights on the desk so you couldn't see to make a cup of tea or work at the desk. You couldn't move the lamp as they had a special plug. It was totally depressing. When it said club room I didn't think it meant night club vibes. Restaurant area was really loud. Nowhere to relax

The room we stayed in was shabby. Divan was badly stained. Tile grout was stained grey. Bathroom floor tiles were missing. The double glazed window had failed. Areas of plaster had been filled with filler but not painted. The temperature of water in the sink tap was not controllable, either boiling hot or freezing cold. Walls were poorly painted. The dark wood veneer was chipped and not properly repaired. Other guests were rowdy in the corridors over night. All in all a terrible experience.

Ok but strong smell in room.

Hotel was clean but a very strong smell in the room as if cleaner had sprayed due to someone possibly smoking in there. The smell was so overpowering. The room comfortable but could hear other guests during the night and early in the morning loud music. Guess we were above a fitness room where class had started. Not a good sleep so average feedback.

The corridor smelt of damp, sink was blocked, bedroom very dusty and bed was not made properly. The steam room was broken in the spa and same people hogging the jacuzzi for 45 minutes without being supervised to max stay 20 minutes to allow others to enter. Breakfast finished at 9pm. Hotel very noisy as over the flight path of Manchester airport and woken up at 6.45am by a lady shouting at her son in the car park. Very poor experience.

Book at your own risk if flying!

Arrived after our flight from Manchester, first room given had no working toilet. Second, and last room available, which was an upgrade to us!,had stains and urine left in the toilet and stained sheets. Out of the two rooms left which we booked over a week ago, none was fit for purpose. No rooms left in any hotels in the area at 2:30 in the morning so had to drive home and miss arrangements in Chester.

No contact from hotel either.

Was roasting hot , unbearable . There was a dyson fan which didn’t work , remote control
Was missing . A member of staff did come with the one remote they had but couldn’t leave it with me as they didn’t have another . They did come with a normal fan which I had to sit right in front of for any benefit . Bedside light didn’t work , couldn’t leave the blind open as due to the layout the room faced others so everyone could see in . I gave up trying to sleep at 4 am & decided on a cup of tea , the kettle didn’t work . Left my room at 630 am exhausted . Defo won’t be back

As always with Village Hotel, check-in was fast and easy, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The bar, grill, and food were excellent. However, I’m giving one star because neither the building nor the rooms had air conditioning. Staying there for two nights during a heatwave was unbearable—I even had to sit in my car to cool down. This lack of air conditioning needs to be addressed. I’ve had similar issues at the Hyde location as well. That said, the staff were amazing as always.

Not a good experience, badly handled complaint by one of the hotel managers, I really do not recommend booking last minute to a place that has a bad attitude to not being able to shower as a guest in a hotel!
If you have accessibility needs and require a chair in the shower, please find a more trustworthy hotel to ensure your needs are met and you have the right to clean yourself, as a paying guest in a hotel!

No staff at check in when I arrived. Tried to use self check in but when I got to my room the key card would not work finally found a member of staff to sort it out. Bedroom and bathroom looked very tired. Mould on ceiling in bathroom, seal on shower screen falling off, no soap in soap dispenser had to use shampoo. No mirror in bedroom at all scuffed paintwork. Room very warm. Paid £163 with no breakfast included expect much better for this price. Would not stay again.

Generally although comfortable stay, convenient for location. it was not my best experience at Village Hotel chain. The cost was not VFM. I had a club room and expected higher standard. Felt like I was in a budget hotel. Check-out was rushed.In other Village Hotel booking a club room made you feel special. Breakfast was average, hash brown were broken up before you touched them with serving spoon. Some of Bacon and sausages were pale and undercooked. Juices were not fresh tasted watered down and like cordial. Best thing was scrambled eggs. Overall breakfast buffet did not look attractive or appetising. Disappointing breakfast.

Room was terribly hot. They had a fan already running as I entered but it wasn’t enough and the windows could only open 2cms.

The furniture was in an awful state, scratched, abused, looked so tacky and cheap. There were marks and scratches on the paint, even parts where a completely different paint was used for no reason.

Bathroom had fungus growth on ceiling, probably due to lack of ventilation.

First time in year's that I have visited a Village hotel… shocking.

Always great to be back. We’ve been going to the same Cheadle Village hotel when visiting family leaving near by. Our favorite thing about this hotel is the gym which well above standard. The Club rooms are good value, and there’s been improvement on the Wifi network. Breakfast could use a bit of variety especially with providing gluten options.

The beds aren’t designed for people under 5’6”. I needed assistance or a run up to get in. The bed itself was too soft for us and we both woke with back pain. Only because we’re not used to it. The pillows somehow generated heat and the blind fell off when we opened it in the morning. My breakfast coffee mug had a crack in it that spilled coffee everywhere, sorry about that. We actually really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and clean, the food, surroundings, facilities and service are excellent.

The hotel itself was of a good standard and the club room was a nice clean room. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food good. Thats the plus points.

The negative the room although a club room didnt have air conditioning and was very hot as it was a hot night. Also the hotel is on the flight path to Manchester airport so jets were passing every 5/10 minutes until circa 11pm and then start again circa 5:30am. As i was there for a business meeting I feel more tired than i would have done if i had driven the 2+ hours it would have taken me from home.

The hotel room we stayed in is looking very tired, all the doors bang even going into the bathroom.

Are room was never cleaned during our three night stay, all they did was replace the towels and take away the dirty mugs.

There was a main room light not working and the general feel of the hotel is looking tired a part from the bar area.

We tried to report some of the above issues to reception, but it was empty with no staff around to deal with our complaints

Its very tired.in & outside the hotel. Lack of parking spaces. Very noisy doors banging all night. Bathroom doors too. Perhaps better spring hinches for a quieter close? Toilet seats too? No reception manned? Light out on entry to room. Couldn't find anyone to tell? For over £100 for single occupancy? Should of found a premier inn. On the plus. My young reception chap on check in, was very helpful and pleasant. Didn't use the leisure facilities. Just wanted to leave. The planes didn't bother me,used to living near an airport. The room was spacious and comfortable, which I appreciated. However, there were a few issues during my stay. First, only one set of towels was provided, despite my booking being for two individuals. Additionally, I accidentally left my swimsuit in the room upon departure, and I had to call five times to follow up on my lost item. Unfortunately, I was only informed on my fifth call that my swimsuit could not be found. This experience was disappointing, and I feel the handling of my inquiry could have been more efficient.

Shower would not provide hot water in the morning, no time to complain as we had to leave soon.
One of the party was accused of trying to steal breakfast, despite us paying for four when we booked. Three rooms booked, one with two breakfasts. I couldn’t get through to the employee that there were four meals ordered and paid for, but only three rooms. I had to push past and take a breakfast from the buffet, with a staff member saying “you haven’t paid”.
This ruined the family breakfast we were hoping (and had paid) to enjoy.

Ramat was incredible when checking in to this hotel. Smart, professional, courteous, generous and extremely helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience. I am already thinking of staying at this hotel again and the main reason for that is the way I was treated upon arrival. Thank you Ramat. The room is also very spacious and the bathroom a treat, especially the rainfall shower.

The first night we noticed a leak at the back of the toilet and the door wasn’t locking and we had no where to hang our clothes in the bathroom as it was already damaged. The bed sheets had some stains and the room was cold. I wanted to call someone but they only had a web chat and I raised the issue and asked for it to be solved asap. The next morning we didn’t have anyone come so as I was leaving I spoke to the person at reception to say the issue. They were understanding and said that they’ll send maintenance over and I said my brother is in the room so they can knock. However my brother left after 4 and no one came still when we came the leak was still there and no changes to the bathroom. I was disappointed as the pics looked nice and I used to go to the gym there and liked it but the hotel function was very run down.

A poor experience at the Village hotel, in Cheadle. The carpet by the bathroom was soaked through, and the shower completely blocked .... Which explained the soaking carpet. The blocked shower also spat out hair from the plug.

I also went to the gym, to be told they had no towels and so had to use the only towel in the room, which meant it wasn't ideal for a shower, post gym and sauna .. Or the next morning.

Pretty disappointed and given my experience, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there.
