Staff were good and helpful. Pool facilities are good.
Great location. Parking is ok - feels expensive at 16£ a day. We were there 2 nights and the car park did get v busy so you may not get a space near the entrance.

Room on arrival is freezing upto 3 hours waiting for warm to warm up (after maintenance man attended room). The bed was dirty which also had hair clip on bed disgusting! Shouting at daft o’clock from people saying in the next room. the facility’s spa /swimming was ok, could be better. Such as a life guard not have his earphones in and on phone on duty. Overall wasn’t worth £159.99 stay. This ruined my birthday. Wouldn’t stay again! Pictures taken on arrival

I have stayed at your hotel many times over the years and very much like the hotel due to the large bar area and the Italian restaurant next door, however, the air conditioning is useless and does not really work as it should, as an example I was cold on one evening of my stay so put the air conditioning on as it describes on the instructions, however, although I put it on to blow warm air it blew cold air so made the room colder. The other issue is the bathrooms, they are very dated and need updating.

our rooms were clean, the pool area was gorgeous and fun ! & included a sauna, cold plunge, and steam room. staff was helpful, full breakfast was served (for a charge), food at the restaurant was delicious, walking distance from bus stops was about 10-16 minutes. nothing really near the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall it was a nice experience.

However, there are a few things that could be improved:

I wish there had been a bit more lighting in the room. It was quite dark, especially when trying to do makeup.

It would be great to have an extra roll of toilet paper available without needing to ask for it.

The toilet flush was quite weak and didn’t always work properly.

The water pressure in the shower was also rather low.

Despite these small issues, I truly appreciate the stay and the good service. Thank you for a nice visit!

Clean spacious room with the travel cot ready on arrival. Perfect for what we needed, a relaxing start to our holiday. A shame that the pool was out of use when we arrived but we weren’t planning on using it on this occasion so it wasn’t a problem. Thanks to the lovely reception staff.

Selected this hotel as advertised EV charging and parking. Parking was extortionate and had to park in an “overspill” car park with a very lengthy walk to hotel with heavy cases having to try and pull over gravel, up and down steps and round the perimeter of the building to just get into the lobby. To find the EV charging space were just 2 stand house plug sockets. Room was grubby and tired and smelled.

Poor from the moment of check-in. Room wasn’t ready ant check in time and just told to wait, we weren’t informed it was ready so had to go and check. Upon finally reaching the room it was still being cleaned.

Had to park a fair distance away in the overflow car park, electric charging facilities were unusable due to people parking there. Pool was closed most of the stay which was the primary reason for choosing the hotel.

Room was dated and had 3x types of fan/heater lined up as the air con didn’t work. Room was also noisy, music from the ceiling speakers in reception could be heard at all times.

Really poor quality overall and way below what I expect from Marriott.

The room was good, although there were very few normal plug sockets (several USB ports). The beds were okay but the pillows were awful.

When we arrived, we were told that the pool was out of action. This was the main reason we booked the hotel. We asked for compensation, and they waived the parking fees and gave us access to the executive lounge for breakfast the next morning. The staff on the whole were amazing!

This hotel is very sprawling, so if you have any mobility / energy restrictions, ask for a room close to reception.

Dirty tumblers on the floor outside the room from when we arrived and for the whole of our stay. Pool out of order (the pool was the main attraction for us) and had to chase twice for compensation (originally offered free parking as compensation and then 25% after z as mother complaint). No butter and no full fat yoghurt at breakfast, staff didn’t understand the difference between margarine and butter. Dirty and smelly carpet in the staircase to lower floor. Door lock broke and staff had me walk to and from the room 4 times and wait for someone to let me in so I was late for a business meeting. Dirt under the beds, looked like they haven’t been cleaned for a year or so. All in all not what we are used to when we have a family stay at Marriot.

Check-in was quick and easy , no stairs so easy to get to room. Room was clean , modern ,with comfortable bed. Limited range of coffee AB’s teas available in the room.
Two restaurants to choose from, menu choice reasonably good.
Shuttle bus to Airport was easy to book, on time and driver polite and helpful.
Airport is literally around the corner.

Indoor swimming pool is a big bonus

Hot Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever tasted.

Parking is a nightmare, but I guess location doesn’t help.

Staff were not friendly, particularly restaurant staff. Unsure why. The chef was really angry at the kids. I am hoping it was just a one off thing. Especially given that he did a really good job with the hot breakfast.

Have stayed here many times before for work and always enjoyed my stay, however this time the stay was pretty average.
The main reason for staying at the hotel is the Italian restaurant next door, however, the restaurant was poor this time, and it is very expensive now too.
The hotel is okay, needs updating in many areas, especially the bathrooms of the rooms. Parking is also a nightmare, I had to park a good 10min walk away this time.
The main issue for me this time was that there are always lots of people in and around the bar area that are not residents, just people using the hotel for 3-4 hours for work. I checked in and went to the bar to do some emails, however, there was a guy on his phone, walking round and round the restaurant and bar area talking really loudly, it was really annoying, especially as in the couple f hours I was there he bought 1 coffee.
I am sure there are nicer places to stay in the area which I will be staying at next time.

I normally stay at the Premier Inn which is tired and old, but honest. For a treat I stayed here, and was really disappointed. For the additional money it was hard to learn that the room air conditioning didn’t work, the hot water was just warm and the room is only cleaned every 3 days. I expect this from the Premier Inn but not the Marriott. I mentioned both the hot water and the air conditioning to reception who said they would call maintenance, but nothing happened. Worst of all, on check out I was not asked how my stay was - I am always asked at the Premier Inn! Save your money!

We stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our room was in the basement, with no elevator access, which was really tough for me as I have a bad knee. While the staff did help carry our bags when we checked in, we had to manage everything ourselves at checkout, which was really inconvenient.

The basement had a strong carpet smell as soon as you opened the door, and the AC never cooled the room enough for us to sleep comfortably. The staff did provided us a fan, but it wasn’t enough for our family of four. For the amount we paid (almost $400 CAD per night), we expected a lot more.

We also found a couple of spiders in the room. On our second night, we came back around midnight to find our toilet was clogged. While the staff responded quickly, they weren’t able to fix it, and we had to use the washroom in another room upstairs, which added to the inconvenience.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if it cost half as much.

The tvs in our suite didn't work, we reported to reception but these were not fixed during our stay. When it came to showering we had no hot water, on calling reception they informed me it was for planned maintenance. However no one had told us about this ahead of time, so had an issue washing and bathing a young family of four.

No one properly explained what was included in our booking (access to complimentary breakfast and lunch in an executive lounge).

All in all had a comfy bed but was just disappointing on the above points. On check out they did offer to reduce and refund 20% of booking.

Unacceptable 2 night stay!

We had booked a 2 night stay in a family room. We checked in about 8pm. When we got to our room we discovered there was an ants nest outside our bedroom door with hundreds of ants on the wall and carpet - we where worried in case they got under the door to our room. I went to reception and told them and showed them a photo. They moved us rooms straight away and upgraded us to a family suite.
We noticed that the new room was abnormally warm and there was no cool air coming from the air conditioning. So we hadn’t slept all night as the heat was horrendous. The second night was even warmer so I rang reception and they came down and they couldn’t believe the heat in our room so they got us a fan - but it didn’t nothing. The girl at reception then asked us would we move rooms again - it was late but we couldn’t breath in the room it was so warm, so we packed up again and moved rooms for a 3rd time. The new room was lovely and cool and we got a better nights sleep.
Another issue we had that there was little vegan food on the menu, For breakfast the only option was hash brown, beans, brown bread and fruit. Not good at all for the price you pay for breakfast - any other hotel we have stayed in always had better vegan breakfast options.
There was also no disabled parking. There were 3 cars parked in the front 3 disabled bays that didn’t move. And we had to park far from from the entrance.
Would I stay here again? NO! Three room moves in 2 nights really is not acceptable.

Not what you would expect from a Marriott

Swimming pool and spa were good, lack of hot water in the ladies changing room showers. Rooms are advertised as air conditioned but this seems to mean a tower fan that made little difference to heat. Furniture in room was chipped and scratched and drawers not clean. Fridge was a bonus. Breakfast area had chipped furniture and in need of a deep clean especially the tables, even salt and pepper wooden shakers were sticky. Cooked breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs drowning in liquid, with poached the only thing that looked edible. I opted for the poached egg and items from the continental table which was fine but had been looking forward to a full breakfast. Disappointed.
