checked in at 7.30pm for 1 nite as it's close to airport and wanted hot tub as soar from long flight. hot tub closed at 730pm. woke up at 8.30am to use it. only to be cold. 94F. so figured would go eat breakfast only to be told they stopes serving food at 9am. tried to go shower and climb into bed. got up at 11 to pack and some rude manager older man knocks on the door at 11.02am and says check out is at 11. on your bike son. I said you better take that base out your voice boy .no phone's in the room to warn you check out time. plus hotel was half empty. so whats the rush. won't be staying here again the elevator was smaller than the one in my house. I could barley fit my suit case and me in it. third world 2 star at best

We had a short overnight stay before leaving early the next morning.

The room was nice and spacious and clean and the swimming pool was really good.

The TV wasn’t working properly despite using different wifi sources.

The guests we had in room 241 in the Britannia Airport Inn were awful. They were loud, swearing and clearly having a domestic at 21:00 12/12/25 again at 03:00 on the morning of the 13/12/25.

The hotel was dated and in need of a refurb but everything was clean, comfortable and worked. We were impressed by the gym, enjoyed the breakfast and slept well. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend and visit again. Down sides were that people were up early to catch flights and it was quite noisy for a while. Also we found travelling to Etihad Stadium expensive.

Not much to do around the hotel and pretty hard to get into Manchester city center without a car. Public transit took around an hour with multiple transfers. Airport shuttle was excellent though and if you are ok with the travel time by transit then it's worth the lower cost compared to the other airport hotels.

Def not the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Shower head did not work. Had to use the handheld wand instead to shower.

Leisure center was nice but an additional cost I was not aware of when booking my room. Had to pay extra £5 per day to use the gym, steam room, sauna and pool.

Checked in online through the email sent and had a confirmation of the check in but when came to the front desk it appeared that the check in wasn’t done and the receptionist had to re-do it but he did appear to have some sort of an attitude to be honest so that could have been a bit more pleasant but overall can’t complain.

Extremely Basic hotel rooms. Our room was not clean there were marks on walls & the one chair in the \"double room' was marked and dust around edges there was cobwebs in corners and cieling with spiders and blood & stains on curtains. I asked reception if we could upgrade & was told NO because you have dogs. I told him the room is dirty and there is cobwebs and spiders everywhere can we change rooms. We were given another very small room which was much cleaner. The tv didnt work in there. Not impressed we definitely wont be staying there again.

Comfortable Stay Near the Airport with a Parking C

I stayed at this hotel recently and found it clean and comfortable, though it feels quite dated, like stepping into a hotel from the past. The room had a few useful features I appreciated, including an iron and ironing board, a good shower, and a very comfortable bed.

The food served at the bar was surprisingly good, and the location is convenient, close to the airport and easy to reach.

One thing to be aware of is the parking situation. When I arrived, I saw a sign in the car park saying you needed to pay within fifteen minutes. I downloaded the parking app and paid, only to be told at reception that parking is actually free for hotel guests. Unfortunately, they could not refund me because the parking company is separate from the hotel. So make sure to check with reception before paying for parking.

Overall, it was a decent stay with a few quirks. If the hotel updates its décor and clears up the parking confusion, it could be a solid choice for airport travellers.

We were on the second floor - carpets were worn, paintwork and decor needed refreshed. Large car park but the bays were too narrow for most vehicles to park safely. Convenient for airport.

I have no idea why the bad reviews. For the price and close proximity to the airport , you can’t expect any better. If you want better , dig your pockets and pay £200 / night. It’s clean, plenty parking, free toiletries ( enough for few nights), smart tv , kettle in the room.. what else you need for less than £80 a night …I will defo come again. And yes, we stayed one night and they didn’t even charge for parking .. absolutely 5 star ..

Hotel was quite a distance from main hotel. Shuttle bus wasnt available as flight came in late so taxi was expensive. Gentlemen on checkin was rude and miserable, Not a greeting id expect no explanation of facilities, breakfast etc
. Hotel is dirty, room was not clean, windows barely opened no /c just a small dirty fan in a matchbox with a HUGE TV. Chamber lady was miserable lady in morning on reception little better but just as miserable
The atmosphere of the hit is awful. Id never stay there again id rather pay £30 extra and stay at Premier Inn

Amazing service and so easy to find

We stayed overnight before our holiday in the executive room which was definitely worth the extra and booked the 3 course meal which was fantastic. Booked to stay on the way back but couldn’t stay overnight so the manager let us have a room to have a sleep until we were ready to leave which was so lovely of her as we were driving back to Cornwall and had already been up 24 hours. Super easy to find and pool was amazing. Will definitely stay again thank you

Food was fine in the restaurant, the bed was not comfortable and the matress was very hard. The sofa bed looked more comfortable that our son slept on.

We folded the sofa bed up as our son wanted to sit on the sofa, there was rubbish under the sofa.

The gym is a little tired aswell.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Theres no lift so if you have a heavy suitcase it will be fun lifting it up the staircase, the signage directing you to the rooms is also confusing.

Honestly dont know why people leave bad reviews, if you want a 5 star experience, put your hand in your pocket and pay the 200 quid a night at the hilton, instead of wanting to pay 50 quid and get luxury!
The staff on check in were FANTASTIC! The restaurant does decent well priced food, the rooms are adequate, the shower in ours was great. There is a shuttle to the airport, however we booked an uber. Parked our car there for 2 weeks, great prices! Overall a great experience, also its the third time we have stopped her over the years

Hotel looks the part from the outside, inside is dated, very soft bed and pillows but that’s personal preference, the bed and toilet was clean, however could do with some attention in the corners, wall were thin and there was a lot of noise throughout the night. Was some white mould under the window in the room. All in all, a good stay for the price. Good location for the airport and train stations in the area. Its basically 5 mins away from the airport and viewing park.
Nice as you walk to the entrance.
Some of the staff seemed to be arguing with each at the bar.
Asked about my room being to warm said that maintenance would check for me but still no ventilation very uncomfortable.
Pizza was good for what you pay.

Fantastic value for money !

The hotel is the best value and at the cost considering its location, it’s fine ! . I have read the reviews and at the price you’re paying why are people moaning about painting & decorative finish . It’s an airport hotel in a perfect location for travellers. If you expect 5 star then pay £400/£500 a night . It’s clean tidy & comfy with spa and bar. Bargain in my eyes. They could charge more and still be a bargain.

OK for one night, no more!

We stayed here for a night before an early flight. Its ok, but nothing special. Rooms felt a little dated and worn. Beds ok but not amazing. Walls were annoyingly thin so a lot of noise comes through. It would have been nice if guests could use the hotel pool for free and not have to pay more. The food in the bar/restaurant is good though. You'll definitely be full!
Overall it is a serviceable hotel but could do with an update. The staff and food and good.

Standard double is very small. One of you has to sleep up against the wall. So if that person was to get up at night they would have to climb over the other person. Room is small and the view was over a roof.

Very reasonable airport hotel. Always stay here when flying out from Manchester early. Excellent shuttle bus to the airport, same cost as last year. The insulation must be superb as there is never any noise.

Disappointing… but then it was a Britannia Hotel

Disappointed. There was no way of adjusting the room temperature, and no heating at all in the bathroom (which had a window, so lost a lot of any room heat that way).

The bath had a mixer tap/shower head, but there was no way to support the shower head, therefore had to have a handheld shower.

The spa closes ridiculously early at 8pm on a week day.

One positive… Breakfast !!

The morning receptionist was too busy on the phone, and simply pointed at a box for the room cards, so was unable to voice my opinions.
