Don’t usually leave reviews but this felt warranted. Original room was ice cold and I had to argue with the staff on reception that the radiator wasn’t working, who kept trying to tell me it was.
Upon checkout we asked for a taxi and an unmarked taxi was called that only took cash. It was not suitable for tourists, as we don’t have cash and this was for my mother in law who was from out of the country.
I would avoid this hotel.

Overall an okay experience. I got there in the dark on a rainy day. I got an average room. TV wasn't working. Heating was off, had some issues but they solved it with electric heaters instead. A place suitable to spend the night, nothing fancy.

Absolutely perfect location. Great night's sleep. Took earplugs but didn't need them. Breakfast was delicious. One or two things I would change. Fixed shower heads are my pet hate so would change that. Mattress upgrade, bigger bathroom and although generally clean, a deep clean wouldn't go amiss, however this place is fantastic value for money with a lovely hostess. I will definitely be back here whenever I fly from Manchester.

Pymgate was lovely. We were in Manchester for 2 days only for a concert. It was a lovely property. Dated but clean. No AC and no lift but we were very comfortable. Staff was very nice. Close proximity to airport and you can hear the planes coming in but the bed was comfortable.

Good points, room clean and accommodated late check in. However I have got to say the room did not reflect the visuals on the internet. Very small room and bathroom and if we were planning on staying for longer it wouldn’t have been suitable.

I stayed in the courtyard area which was interesting to say the least. External door that opens onto a courtyard. The windows on the door had been covered up with stickers for privacy, but these were peeling in areas.
The room felt run down and tired. Not very comfortable in my opinion. Carpets were a miserable brown and looked/felt like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Cobwebs under the desk and in the corners of the ceiling. The bedside table was a wrought iron outdoor table. TV remote was grimey.
Bed clean and averagely comfortable. There was a plug in oil radiator in the room for heat. It wasn't the most efficient of heaters. Main lighting was cold and bright.
Bathroom was small but clean. Note in the shower to reuse towels to save the environment, however had hung mine up each day and it still was removed.
No 'do not clean' option to hang on the room. I stayed for three nights and wasn't too bothered about fresh towels daily, or the bed being made.

Good stopover hotel before an early morning flight. Booked a double room and were given a triple room which was lovely with plenty of space. As others have said the car park is small and a required a bit of manoeuvring to get out but managed it and we were aware. Check in was fast and efficient from a friendly lady. Only small issue for us was road noise but only because we aren’t used to it.

The room was incredibly small with the bed against the wall and very little space the other side. Not good for a couple. There was little room inside. A wardrobe and table were all that was in the room. it opened onto a courtyard so the door was an outside door. The room was freezing with no heating except a small plug in radiator. These do not give good air in a small space. It was overpriced and I really wouldn't bother.

Room i booked was not the room offered to me !! -i booked a room with a sofa bed plus a double Bed but we were put into a attic room had a very low ceiling & wooden joists, we both banged our head on a few times so we were a bit disappointed, plus a lot of stairs.

The only member of staff we saw was pleasant and helpful, fluffy towels and the bed linen was lovely but that’s the only positives.
Very small parking area which was very tight.
Conservatory window was shattered. A bit tatty and dated outside. The room was small but cleanish (cobwebs) however mould in the bathroom and odd instructions on the wall to use sink, toilet and shower. Can only flush toilet once every 5 mins. Have to run hot water in sink to get hot water for shower. Sign said takes 1 min to get hot water. Took 6 mins of tap running! Shower tray moved for duration of shower and water pressure was poor - would have been insufficient to rinse hair (glad only there 1 night).
Switched the kettle on and the switch snapped off. Called reception. They thought we had the heater on and the power had tripped. No, broken - looked like might have been glued before. New kettle brought quickly. Heating on throughout hotel for duration of stay. No way to turn up or down in room. Creaky bed frames. Poor mattresses. Noise from floorboards above was loud all night. The only member of staff we saw was pleasant and helpful, fluffy towels and the bed linen was lovely but that’s the only positives.

Room small but everything in it, creaky floor and you could hear the people in the room above walking around and talking, it is an old building.
Mattress seems a bit old and well used but slept ok.

It was fine for one night stay it wouldn’t want to stay any longer. The room was clean but very small with sloping roof. The beds were way too soft and creaky. Each time I rolled over it felt like you could fall out. Parking is limited and very tight spaces.

I would have given them a better review but there were a few things that made our stay unpleasant. During the night the yard light that shown into our bathroom kept coming off and on. It was motion activated and the exhaust from something kept turning it off and on. The same thing happened with the hall light.

Great little hotel, staff couldnt do enough, nice and quiet even though it was on the roadside. Onsite parking, breakfast was really nice. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds were really comfy too.

The hotel is in a convenient location, close to Manchester Airport and within walking distance of the city tram service.
Good to have on site free car parking, though when busy there can be some issues manouevering. I was given a wonderful greeting and a top floor attic converted room at the back of the property, so my request was honoured as best as possible. The sloped roof can be a bit challenging for a tall person and rainfall can be heard on it, but the room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable and the en suite was spacious and had a lovely shower. I could not get the radiator to work. There are some very nice reception area rooms, including a lounge with tv and a breakfast area in a glass conservatory. Care is required when exiting the site on to the busy main road where traffic moves fast.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem is that on their website they say there is a restaurant with evening dining on site, which was a factor in choosing this hotel. We were surprised to find out when we arrived that they only serve breakfast. I would say this is more like a B&B than a hotel or lodge.

Disappointed, the room was not one advertised on the website. We were told we were in the courtyard and think it was a converted garage. Very small, ceiling. Very low- as I took jumper off my bent arms touched the ceiling! Dark and dangerous accessing the room in the dark.On a positive note it was very clean and nice bedding.
A big issue in the morning, as we went to leave at 4.45am for the airport, was we had been jammed in the car park.Inconsiderate parking by a large Volvo. After an extremely difficult manoeuvre we got out arriving later than planned.
