The lights went off during the night in the room. I think they could have put a note under the door to advise as they still weren’t on when I left at 7.30 am . bathroom was pitch black I had to shower by the light on my phone. Use tv in bedroom for light. I’m aware this can’t be helped but no apology was given when I checked out.

The room was a good size for 2 with a comfortable bed, and we had a nice bathroom with a lovely hot shower. My wife and I enjoyed using the gym and regret not using the pool - we will do next time I come, which is a dead cert. We had lunch in the bar on arrival and the food was quality. Breakfast was really good and there was plenty of choice. Finally, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highky recommended.

I stayed here for a night whilst dropping my daughter back to Uni. The hotel felt a bit like a leisure centre with rooms but I cannot fault the cleanliness of my room, the service provided or the facilities. I liked the women’s only gym. My double room was small but had everything I needed, was spotless and also very well priced. I don’t have breakfast at the hotel as I went to meet my daughter. However I thought the on site cafe looked really good. Free parking was also a welcome bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the hotel deserve all the credit they are friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to make your stay better! Only downside to this hotel is the road in and out as it’s fairly awkward if cars are coming the other way, otherwise would 100% stay again facilities and rooms are great

I book this venue a few months ago for as i was in Manchester for a wedding of a close freind. It was the perfect place with great facilities having acess to the pool gym and spa facilities was a extra bonus. The rool was spacious clean and the bed was comforatable. Breackfast was also of good quality. With plenty of options including cooked and continental. All the saff i delt with were excellent would definitely be returning on my next visit.

Waterside hotel was a perfect option for an overnight stay while setting my daughter up at university.
The vast car park was ideal with staff welcoming and polite.
Our room was spotless and comfy after a busy day! And breakfast was delicious the following day. Lots of choice, ample amounts and the best way to start the day.

Superb experience from start to finish. The room was on the small side but the breakfast and use of the amazing facilities more than made up for this. Staff were well presented and friendly on arrival and very helpful throughout the stay. I don’t normally do reviews but this place warrants a shout out for completely surpassing all of my expectations. I hope I have a reason to return to Manchester so that I can go back!

All the staff are wonderfully helpful and kind. This is especially appreciated as my friend and i are in our 80s and we do someone need assistance. The roast duck we ordered was excellent too!

I wouldn’t stay here again, if for no other reason than the parking and physical access to the building. Having mobility issues, I need, if possible, a blue badge parking space, and for a property that size, the number of spots is woefully insufficient. It really should be named leisure centre (gym) and hotel, as the majority of the people there are using those facilities, and parking spaces.
The room was so tiny that we were unable to bring in anything larger than one small carry on bag each, and also so small that we had to put one case on the table, and move the mini sized chair to a corner to put the other case on. Otherwise, we would have been unable to walk from the further bed to the bathroom.
On the plus side, the Sunday beef roast was amazing.

Hi nice hotel, breakfast was nice and they had a good ranger, the use of the pool and sauna was great, but as it is also open to the public is busy, (its a leisure centre/gym with a hotel) clean, the only thing is I had a small double room well its a good thing we a both small as the bed was not a double size, I understand the room being small but the bed was more a small queen size. bed. would same again but not in the small more if there is 2 of us. FREE PARKING GREAT

1) Had a bit of an issue with the (sprinkler) light flashing every 7 seconds all night. So getting off to sleep a bit of a problem.
2) No blinds or net curtains at window on ground floor.

I have never stayed anywhere and been treated as poorly as i was on friday
I paid £100 for the stay, the staff were quite young watched me struggle around the hotel trying to do various tasks and no one helped me, some staff even walked straight pass me
The quality of the room was appalling, mould, the furniture was very dated and didnt match, burnt iron marks on tge carpet, i paid for a king size reasonable size room, i was given a double box size room, tge breakfast was cold and very limited and at dinner time again i was ignored, left sitting down for over 20 minutes, no one came to offer any assistant or explain the process, so i went to bed hungry, each day i asked for milk for my baby to be warmed up it wasnt done, i had to drive out and find a costa.

The staff here are unbelievable. They are a credit, not only to the hotel, but customer service and hospitality in general. Tyler, Josh, Mark and the entire team were friendly and personable throughout every moment of our stay. They met all our requests minimal fuss or issue and all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at ease.
The WiFi was not the strongest but with the facilities on offer, this was no problem to us and did not affect our stay.
We would highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future. Massive thank you to the whole Waterside team. Come on United!

The hotel itself was nice and clean, the scenery was lovely! Staff were also nice, but just a few things with my room. I booked a standard room but I didn’t realise it would be so loud. I could hear the next room’s conversations loud and clear, as well as hearing each and every movement of the room upstairs. There was also was a strange noise coming from the ceiling. Every few minutes the same noise would occur - not sure if it was pipework, the upstairs resident, or anything else. Finally, the bathroom was lovely but the shower situation was not ideal. The water pressure was crazy high to the point where even the slightest turn would send the moveable shower head flying, and there was no happy medium with the water, between cold and burning hot I did burn myself a few times trying to figure this out. Amenities were nice though, gym is 24 hours and the swimming pool is nice and big.

My son was invited to join a martial arts class when we checked in so he was pleased! We ordered food from the restaurant while he was in the class.
