The facility has no elevator and bathroom is small.
Be aware of additional 2% surcharge for using non EU issued credit card. I was not told about the additional 2% credit card surcharge when I made the reservation. The owner posted at the counter when you are ready to check in the day which leave you no choice.

The only thing this hotel has going for it, is it's location. They are unhelpful and set on their timetables. Not the guests. The rooms are wildly outdated and old. Rooms need to be updated. I would not recommend. Next time I'd rather stay somewhere 20km away and save half the money.

We were worried about staying after reading other reviews but we couldn’t really fault it! We arrived late in the evening (9pm) and had to call the receptionist to check in (this is the only negative point we have, it would’ve been nice to check in straight away and quickly given we’d just done a 10 hour drive however once we’d called them they came quickly and we checked in with no problems) room was clean, comfy and well equipped. We had a really quiet and comfortable nights sleep and checked out the next day!

This hotel is a complete cheat. They gave my resevation to some other customer and after reaching there at night with my family I was told that they moved me to a hotel nearly 5 km from the lake. I reserved this hotel for its proximity to the lake but instead got a terrible room in a hotel much further away from where I wanted to sray. I did not expect this to happe. after reaching there traveling all the way from US.

Hotel staff was not friendly. They did not staff the front desk, had to call and they told us wait 10 minutes and they would be there. The whole stay I never saw anyone at the front desk, they would leave keys in envelopes on the front counter to take and that seems very unsafe to me. A couple before us said they had tried to call but no one would answer. The hotel says it is dog friendly but you weren’t allowed to leave your pet in your room which was not stated anywhere, I even tried to get ahold of the hotel before the trip to ask about dog policies but I received no answer. Multiple of our plans were ruined because the things we had booked were not dog friendly. You would think if you’re not allowed to leave your dog in the room there wouldn’t be an extra charge, but they charge $10 a day for the pet. Overall dissatisfied with my stay.

Superb Hotel Suite Stay

The family and I enjoyed our trip, the hotel was a great experience right next to the lake with a short 3 minute walk. Superb views of the mountains with remarkable lightning and thunder viewed from our balcony. Quiet breakfast every morning with individual portions wrapped, kids enjoyed the hot chocolate and cereal while the adults savored the coffee, cheese and meats.

Reception is open only for certain hour, so no early check-in is possible and you will not be relieved when you have to leave your key on the desk, not directly hand out to the host. (I put the key behind of calculator on the desk to prevent from being stolen because there was no one at reception. Then the host didn't find it and just tried to charge me money for not bring the key. Hay it is not my fault but yours! just be at reception at least during check out hour!)

Great value

You can not beat this location. 5 mins walk to ski lifts and about 6 mins to the Rodelbahn. Echostueberl is close too. Short walk to the lake.
Room was spotless. Bathroom has heated floor. Slightly dated decor in dining room but fantastic breakfast. Great value too. Many reviewers comment on the service. It's fine. Not your typical Bavarian friendly service, however nor is it rude. He's not German, you have to persevere and he will smile. We would definitely stay again. Booked two rooms. Both nice. Both had balconies and lovely views over the mountains (car park first). One had two and a great big window. There is also free parking.

This hotel is in a great location. It’s less than a ten minute walk to the boat dock with lots of cute shops along the way. The staff are kind but aloof. My family of five stayed in a third floor apartment with great space. No elevator. There were no extra sheets, pillows, or blankets for the futons, the kitchen was meagerly stocked with dishes and cookware. No coffee pot or coffee in the apartment, which is a deal-breaker for us. McDonald’s is right across the way. Breakfast was alright.

The room and location were amazing. I did sometimes have trouble finding help at the front desk, but with smaller hotels this is somewhat expected. Also, the wifi in the room was a little slow, but going to the lobby easily solved that problem.

The area is great, it is near everything you want to visit at Lake Konigsee. The service was average, not that we needed any but they appeared to not want to go out of their way for you. They were very friendly when speaking to them. breakfast was great, I gave a low score on cleanliness because all four of the coffee cups in the bedroom were dirty, I don’t even think they check them. The towels were very rough, I assume there is no softener put in them. It’s a cute hotel, and for the price it wasn’t quite that bad, however, keep in mind taxes are not included and there is a visa service fee, that added another $76 on Our two night stay.

Very nice. The front desk is not too helpful with local info, but nor do they need to be as the tourist center is right across the street which opens at 9am . If you want to eat breakfast, get there by 8:05am or they get wiped out by the mad rush of guests getting a jump on there day. They refresh it constantly, but the initial hit takes about 20-30 minutes for them to recover.
Overall loved the location. I would easily stay again. Wifi does not work/reach rooms but works in lobby. Get offline and enjoy your company and the landscape.

Hotel is on Konigsee but is right in the middle of a tourist trap of large bus parking and cheap sidewalk shops. The hotel restaurant was closed down and in disarray. The front desk is not staffed. You must call and wait for them to show up. The carpet in the rooms is old and tattered, as is the furniture. There was an overwhelming smell of cooked meat (not in a good way)--yet the restaurant was closed down? Entirely not as advertised and we left immediately. Go to Stoll's Hotel Alpina instead. Lovely hotel, great location, all the amenities you would want and half the price of this crappy place.

Great location, clean room. No internet

Hotel location is wonderful -- it is at the beginning of a row of little shops that lead to the lake (Koenigsee). It's a short walk to the lake and tour boats. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view from a safe balcony (with a small child, this is important to me). Parking was easy next to the hotel. Breakfast was 8-10am and very good.
One quaint detail is that we arrived about 6pm and no one was at the reception desk -- a key with our name on it was just sitting on the front desk. Plus, there's no phone in the room to call hotel staff if you need something. The only truly frustrating, though, was the internet -- the wireless never worked during our stay (2 nights). The price was pretty high not to have these amenities. Still, we are very glad we went to Koenigsee -- it's incredibly beautiful. Definitely take the boat tour. We would consider staying here again if the internet worked.

Good location

If you drive, the parking is free and just next to the entrance. If you don't drive, the bus stop is just in front. Walking distance of 5 minutes to the pier. I think it is very well located, though you have to take your luggage upto the second floor. The breakfast buffet is very good.

Great location in beautiful area with lots to do and see. Breakfast was just ok. Room clean and large. Wifi didn't always work in room. Used it as spot between cities but didn't realize so much to see and hiking right there. Want to go back and explore the mountains in the national park.

We had a big room witch was good, with our own balcony heading to the stream back from the hotel witch was a nice view. But good to know if you are sensitive with high noises during sleep it might be a trouble with windows open. Other then that I was a bit dissapointed at the hotel. First of all, it was still some shell from a medicintablett left on the beds sidetablet = did they clean here? Being located in the room highest in the building we checked for firealarm ..there was none. And the reason for checking after it was that the light in the hallway outside our bathroom switched on and off by it self one time during the night. Gave us bad vibes about the security and electricity. The beds was terribly cheap and also not comfy. Breakfast was ok, nothing more. Free parking.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage. Man ist in unter 5 Minuten zu Fuß am Königssee. Für den Preis haben wir uns aber wesentlich mehr erhofft. Das Hotel ist in einem sehr veralteten Zustand, die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und passt nicht zueinander. Das Badezimmer ist sehr eng, das Licht flackerte dauerhaft und der Fernseher funktionierte am ersten Abend gar nicht. Sauber war es leider auch nicht... Haare im Badezimmer, Krümel auf dem Balkon, Geruch aus dem Kühlschrank. Das Servicepersonal war leider auch nicht positiv auffallend. Beim Frühstück wurde mehrmals am Tisch vorbei gegangen (in Jogginghose) aber Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt oder gefragt ob alles recht ist. Das Frühstück an sich war in Ordnung, die Wurst- und Brötchenauswahl aber klein und die Äpfel hatten bereits braune Druckstellen. Wir verstehen, dass Corona den Betreibern Probleme macht, aber unserer Meinung nach sind das Punkte die man definitiv behandeln kann und die sicher schon vor der Krise bestanden.

Encantada con este hotel

Escogí este hotel por su cercanía al lago,el precio atractivo,con desayuno incluido y además con vistas a las montañas que justo era lo que estaba buscando. Viajé en solitario para celebrar mi 60vo cumpleanos. Cuando llegué, espere solo un poquito que llegara alguien para hacerme el check in pues normalmente no hay nadie en el front desk salvo cuando saben que alguien va a entrar. Me dieron una habitación enorme con dos camas tipo matrimonial y con un balcón privado con vista al arroyo que pasa al lado del hotel.Para mi fue lo mejor pues de noche dormía con la ventana del balcón abierta y poder escuchar el sonido del arroyo. Una chica que se encarga de los desayunos me pregunto a qué hora quería desayunar pues prácticamente durante mi estadía estuve como única huésped así que por un par de días ella me preparaba el desayuno solo a mi. El hotel para mi , esta super bien ubicado justo frente a la parada del bus que sala cada hora con destino a Berchtesgaden y otros lugares cercanos. También está frente a la Oficina de Turismo donde puedes conseguir información sobre la zona y además está a solo un corto trayecto al muelle de donde salen los barcos que hacen el recorrido del lago Konigsee.Conmigo fueron muy amables y me encanto la habitación siempre calentita así como el baño, nunca pase frío en la habitación. En fin y resumiendo , no puedo estar más contenta con mi estancia. Si tuviera que volver a Konigsee - Schoenau sin duda volveria a este hotel.
