The Hotel Scwabenwirt was absolutely lovely! I will definitely stay there again, the next time I visit. The Hotel looked modernized from the outside, and lobby. The insides were a little old-school, but that is part of it's charm. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful, and the people at the restaurant were fantastic. And food great too.

Great breakfast with plenty of options. Was not very busy while we were there so parking was easy. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious and had a nice balcony. Staff spoke English. Would recommend for someone looking for alpine views and proximity to the area’s nature spots

The young man named Sam who works the front desk is the best. He recommended an area to walk along the river and forest that was awesome. Then he helped me out with a phone charger situation. Usually never get this type of customer service from a front desk.

Allowed us to check in at 1pm (4 hours early) as our room was ready. Receptionist was very nice. Our stay included a free transport pass which allowed us to use local buses for free over 2 days (for a 1 night stay). Hotel is ideally located across road from railway station.

The bus station was so convenient and having the guest card to ride for free during out stay was very convenient.

This was by far one of the best hotels that we stayed The views were absolutely incredible. The walk ability was amazing, the breakfast and dinner restaurant were also really great. It was one of our favorite hotels that we stayed at again. I can’t begin to describe how beautiful the view from all the hotel rooms and the balconies that they had. So close and walkable to everything with a gorgeous river outside would definitely come back and stay again.!

We stayed at Hotel Schwabenwirt for two nights and had a great experience. One highlight was the early check-in—our room was ready when we arrived, which made things very convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, adding to the pleasant stay.

Our room was very spacious, with a modern and well-lit bathroom. The bed was comfortable and spacious, and we slept very well both nights. The windows provided excellent sound insulation, so despite the hotel’s strategic location right across from the Berchtesgaden train and bus station, we had no issues with noise at all.

The hotel is located right in front of the Berchtesgadener Ache, a beautiful river with crystal-clear waters, adding to the charm of the surroundings.

The location is not only strategic for transportation but also very convenient, with two supermarkets (Rewe and Lidl) and a DM drugstore right next door. This made it easy to grab anything we needed during our stay.

The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day.

Overall, I wouldn’t think twice about returning to Hotel Schwabenwirt when visiting Berchtesgaden. Its convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff make it a great choice. Highly recommended!

Wonderful hotel situated on a beautiful river and right across from the rail and bus station - easily walkable. The hotel provided a transit card allowing free use of all busses, which allows access to all the local attractions. Fantastic free breakfast and a wonderful restaurant and beer garden right in the hotel. Highly recommended!

The breakfast buffet was limited compared to other hotels in Germany. It was noisy and quite hot as the windows only open a little bit at the top, which is usual for Germany, but right in town I think AC is needed. I did ask for a fan and they delivered one so that did help.

The location is super close to the train/bus station and a short walk to the shops. My family loved the stay and we would definitely go back!

The view is amazing. Many walkable places to eat. Most of the places I visited only accepts cash. Staff was very friendly. The room I stayed was very good for the price. Only bad thing about the rooms is that they don’t have A/C. Had to keep the windows open and then you hear everything on the outside.

I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out.

Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast.

We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station.

Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.

bathroom had no shelf to put your toothbrush and other items. No wash clothes and only had a couple TV channels mostly qvc. Biergarten was really nice the breakfast buffet and restaurant was great. There was a young blond waitress with and accent she was really friendly and smiled the whole time. The hotel is very close to the Kehlsteinhaus and Koenigsee. It's right by the river and street so it was a little noisy but great location.

Loved our stay here! When we arrived Sam, at the front desk, helped us get settled straight away. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station but you cannot hear trains pass. We got a room over looking the river which was very relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was great!

The hotel overlooked a river. It was also on a traffic circle and across from the bus station but near was heard. The location was easy to access all points of interest. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was good. There is not many dining options in October. There are grocery stores nearby. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only down side would have been a slow elevator during busy season.

Conveniently located within a picturesque 15 minute walk to Old Town Berchtesgaden. Clean and well maintained with a friendly and helpful front desk. We didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant but we did enjoy relaxing in the onsite beer garden, which sits right next to the river. Great breakfast included. Todo perfecto. El personal de recepción es muy amable, el desayuno excelente y la habitación cuenta con todas las comodidades. Sólo sería bueno agregar un minibar. El estacionamiento es on-site al aire libre, pero puede ser problemático encontrar lugar por la tarde. En caso de que esto pase, hay un estacionamiento grande justo al frente del hotel, que es gratis de 6 PM a 8 AM.

Por último, la comida del restaurante también fue excelente.
