Was charged $42 for a bottle of wine that I nor my colleague definitely did not order (am still waiting for a response regarding this 5-days later). When I checked into my room there was a cot setup which I did not request and the ‘king’ bed was two single beds pushed together where the noticeable join in the middle was easily felt.

Bathroom was dated and worn. Partial glass wall in shower meant floor got very wet when we showered. Balcony was very dirty - looked like someone had thrown up on it. Room felt tired and worn. Staff were friendly, location was great.

Room was ok hotel itself a bit lifeless, having no pool was extremely disappointing and wasn’t aware until hotel paid for! Alternative was a lane swim pool not leisure, felt hotel wanted more money every where possible, parking extra, coffee at breakfast extra, decor was very basic no welcoming areas once away from reception not art on walls etc. bar areas often in darkness, balcony but no chairs to sit out there, pictures on website and Expedia deceiving as not showing correct pool, should have started refurb about 10 years ago. Liked Scarborough but wouldn’t stay in that hotel again

The entire hotel could use an upgrade, it still has the lingering smells of the years when smoking was indoors. The bathroom could also use an upgrade, the shower was very messy and dangerous standing in a bath. Remove the bath and install a better shower.

Had a great 2 night stay at Rendezvous. The kids loved the use of the Scarborough Pools and being around the beach. Thursday night food vans and entertainment create a great vibe where you can forget that you're in Perth if you're from here, or love that you visited if you're not. Although the hotel is a little dated these days, they are in the process of renovating and the rooms are still clean and nice enough. The location provides a great opportunity to try a variety of different restaurants and it's much better than staying at Crown and being restricted to their overpriced restaurants and staring at the Perth skyline. Staff were great and even had gift packs for the kids when we checked in.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a staycation in Perth and wanting to pretend that they are on a tropical island for a couple days

From the moment I stepped into the room, I knew this stay was something special. The space was generous, spotlessly clean, and framed by a truly breathtaking view. Each night I fell asleep to moonlight shimmering across the ocean — one of those moments that stays with you long after you leave.

The service elevated the experience even further. Housekeeping was led by the kindest, warmest soul, someone who genuinely deserves a Staff Member of the Month award. The reception team struck that perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness — polished, welcoming, and never pretentious.

While the motel is currently undergoing renovations at the front of the building and pool area, it didn’t detract from the stay at all. Guests were thoughtfully accommodated with access to a pool just across the road, which made the transition seamless.

The location, right on Scarborough Beach, is unbeatable — ocean air, stunning views, and that effortless coastal vibe. I can only hope I’ll be able to return one day. This was, without question, one of the best stay-away experiences I’ve ever had

We were very disappointed in our stay. On check in the staff member Stella was rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be there.
It was disappointing to find that not only the pool was under maintenance but so was the parking which cost us so much extra. The elevators were broken down most days & the bedding was no more than 2 star, the mattress you could feel the springs in it. Stains on the carpet. Room service forgot to leave towels, there is no where to hang wet clothes from the beach. No outdoor seating on the balcony to enjoy the view. We paid extra for the corner room which was disappointing as it overlooked the pool which is under maintenance. Overall a lot of money paid for a 3 star stay. Would not recommend this hotel for the price.

Staff were kind and helpful. Finding the hotel enteance to actually check in was a nightmare,especially when we had no idea where we could park and parking was near impossible to find beyond the hotel parking. If there were upto date instructions on parking and checking in, i couldnt find them.

The hotel is dated but we knew that before we went as it was clear the hotel is being renovated. Notification of noise interruptions was appreciated.

Location once settled was really great, access to dining options was plentiful. Having the ability to use the Scarborough beach pool was appreciated since the hotel pool was unavailable.

It was the renovations to the pool which we weren't advised of before purchasing the stay.
I expect Expedia to compensate me for this since there were days that we could not swim because the the sea was rough and the public pool was full.
Please could you please contact me to arrange some though of compensation.

Plug sockets in room broken, iron broken and ruined my husbands top and when the staff came to change iron they were very rude and dismissive. The room only got cleaned one day and the cleaner only made one bed and emptied a bin, we couldnt work out anything else she had done.

Room was fine and of a good size. Cleaners called daily to make the beds, provide clean towels and replenish catering supplies. No hoovering of the floors was made during our visit. Room service for food used and overall reasonable priced and prompt. Reception helpful when needed.

Although pre-advised, the pool being unavailable meant no real outside area to sit out. The room had a balcony but again no table or chairs outside so couldn’t really sit out. The signs say games room and tennis court but these haven’t existed since covid so should be updated.

The views were stunning, the room was fine, parking was easy, access to the beach was our main goal and it had that, we also loved the food options around the hotel, but housekeeping wasn’t great (they not once in a two week period wiped down our bathroom sink), the escalators rarely worked, the pool has a long way to go, and the gym was so dirty we didn’t feel comfortable using it. The location and the views still made it worth it.

Good points:

The view, the location and the other guests were lovely.

Bad points:

The reception staff were dismissive and miserable (with the exception of one lady from Norway who was great). They were probably like that because almost every guest was trying to complain. Management need to do better for their guests and staff.

There were stained sheets (mildew and a burn mark) on our bed. We requested that they be changed but nothing was done until day 3 after we had complained several times.

Toilet roll, coffee and milk weren’t replaced.

No furniture on the balcony so you couldn’t sit out and enjoy the view.

Front entrance was closed due to building works so everyone had to use the back entrance. However the escalator was broken most of the time so people were having to carry suitcases, prams and children up several sets of stairs to access the hotel.

Hotel decor is something else, the lobby and lounge is a mixture of a visually challenged, colour blind interior designer on acid mixed with an eighties nightmare.

Apparently they have been renovating the hotel for nearly a year, but I can’t see anything new at all.

The main reason to stay here is the magnificent view across the beach and ocean. That doesn’t disappoint. Otherwise it was expensive and a well below average experience.

Current Renovations were the biggest negative , not having a check in entry point to park while we were given room key and information. Parking was difficult to find. $25 a day is ridiculous, this should have been an add on considering we missed out on a pool and outside areas. Escalators going up for broken down the whole stay and foyer area wasn’t very welcoming and clean. The check in staff weren’t over friendly and at times seemed annoyed. The rooms were clean and today and our air con was great! Cleaning staff were very nice and did a great job. Views from balcony were lovely . We used the spa whilst there and the staff were just beautiful. Also the bar tender made an awesome cocktail !

View from the balcony amazing, we were on the 24th floor, could see for miles. Staff friendly and willing to help. Easy car parking below, at an extra cost. Great selection of bars and restaurants extremely close by so not limited to hotel, the view from their restaurant was fab though. Only 2 issues, not complaints!
Firstly, I would have loved a chair on balcony rather than dragging out room chair and secondly I currently have a really sore knee and both the escalator and elevator were down for maintenance the day we were leaving.

Firstly, they have not had a functional pool for 12 months +. This is 100% false advertising. Misleading at its finest. The pool they let you use is the local public pool.

There was also a party that went all night one of the nights of our stay.

Grout in the showers has basically never been cleaned (eww)

Orbitz is amazing!! I needed to switch hotels and did so at 3am to be near the beach!! Even though they are remodeling the hotel we had a great stay. Rooms are spacious a bit dated but perfect for a family of 5. Breakfast was great especially for the kids!!! Make sure to pay for the ‘breakfast included’

Took 20 minutes to locate the entrance as it was not clearly marked not great when you have 4 suitcases. The escalators were out of order which was not great either. The room did not get cleaned daily and the hotel is looking shabby to say the least. It was expensive and they need to really up their game.

Room not ready still undergoing cleaning after 3pm checkin time has passed, on-site facilities that are a main draw point under construction, under staffed and not very friendly, food selection onsite is poor. Don’t expect to have the waiter return to take your order, bed in desperate need of replacement you can feel the springs when you move, shower over bath is a shower head that you can’t stand under properly and water overspray pools around bath until it makes its way to flood bath mat. Waste of money and very disappointing indeed! Staff unapologetic!

Best located hotel in Scarborough with stunning views. The room was spotless and all the staff were amazing. Renovation work is taking place however we had no noise or any issues at all, staying on 21st floor facing south. Pool area is still under renovation too but having free use of Scarborough Beach Pool with laudered pool towels compensates perfectly for this. We are so glad we wasn't put off and our stay here for the week was perfect. This truly will be the destination to be when all is fully completed and we will be returning without a doubt. Well done again and thank you to all staff for making our trip special.

Checkin was terrible. Booked twin beds but got double bed. Told it would be fixed. Went for a walk for 45 mins and returned to see nothing had been done. Waited a further 30 minutes but had to switch room that has amenities for one person…. Called and had towels etc delivered. No slippers and toothbrush provided. Sink water flow was slow. Thankfully the partial ocean view was nice but the view from original room was better. Hotel Location next to the gorgeous beachfront was excellent.

Currently undergoing refurb very noisy, asked to change rooms and was told there wasn’t any even though there was lots still advertised online. Was charged wrong amount at check in, a little less that rate I booked and instead of writing off this small amount for the trouble I was told I couldn’t check out until this was paid. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely won’t be back.

Lovely location. My room had stunning views. Finding parking and locating the entrance during renovations was a challenge.

The hotel is under renovation. Was told our room has been renovated but it still looks dated and wardrobe sliding doors are difficult to open. Housekeeping could not be reached by phone at the number provided. Have always to contact reception if we need anything from housekeeping. The escalator down to the esplanade was always out of order during our five days stay. Water was dripping from the roof at the restaurant when it rained. In all the hotels I stayed in Australia this hotel is the only one that could not loan us an electrical adapter for our European electrical plugs. All in all I would not recommend this hotel.
