This hotel has great value in an expensive city.

Are the rooms outdated? Yes. Are there missing or broken tiles in the bathroom? Yes. Was there tape on the glass of the balcony? Yes.

But the price reflects these issues and I would stay here again especially because you are getting an apartment sytle room with kitchen/separate bedroom.

The room was very clean (cleaner than may 4/5 star hotels I've stayed at). The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in and the linens/pillows were top quality.

Loved the ceiling fan as a/c bothers my sinuses so this was a great alternative.

Only suggestion is deep cleaning of some of the interior doors around the handles.

Short walk to CBD.

It's an ageing property but management obviously focusses on what they can.

Furnishings were very basic and old but in good order.
Hot water took quite a few minutes to reach temperature.
Not enough power outlets to charge devices.
Everything was very clean and bed was comfortable. A/C was excellent.

Receptionist was friendly. Room was tidy. Kitchen, suited to a longer stay had kettle, toaster, rice cooker, electric frypan, portable burner, saucepans. Adequate cutlery bar a potato peeler.

Bathroom was ok, a hand towel would have been handy.

Be aware if you get CAT bus 1 or 935 bus (both free) to Kings Park and walk down to the hotel, it is very steep. A better option is get off these buses on st georges terrace after Mill St and walk across the freeway on the Mount Street Bridge.

Parking at the hotel always looked full but we didnt use it.

This is a budget hotel within walking distance of the city centre. They are all self contained studio apartments with separate kitchens - about 60m2. The building is old but the units are renovated to a good budget standard. The bathrooms are very clean. All apartments are the same size but have slightly different furnishings. The WiFi is poor.

There is free parking but not a reserved space. So you may not get a space as there are more units than parking spaces. I have experienced a parking problem about once a fortnight. Then I park in the street (free after 6pm and on weekends) and park on the premises a little later.

If you stay in Perth for a couple of days you have ample choices, but for accommodation and parking you'll pay double the price (for a room half the size). So, for longer stays there is no comparison (location, size, parking, price).

I have stayed here many times, normally a month or more, and will continue to come back. Please note that if you are very sensitive to noise, every apartment faces the freeway, so there always a slight background noise. This is no problem for me.

The reception staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

some furniture are old, the cooking facilities are complete (microwave, electrical-kettle, bowls, forks, cups, etc., easy for residents to make quick meals), 24 hour hot water, isolated balcony also isolates the traffic noise and external temperature, good cost-performance (cheaper accommodation than the surrounding hotels).

For 10 more bucks go elsewhere

Terrible experience.
The building is right next to the highway with a terrible sound (and thermal) insulation, and the AC makes a lot of noise too so it is very hard to sleep.
The room has insects that look like cockroaches, kitchen consists of an electric stove that can't even boil water to cook pasta, the bathroom floor was soaking wet when we arrived because the drain was blocked...
We ask for cancellations and refund but couldn't get it as we booked through this third-party website.
I cannot recommend to stay in this accommodation, only positive points are the location and the price.

The people in the office are very friendly. If you are a five star person this is not for you but if you are a three star person it’s great. Walk to city and near Queens Park. I got there about 10am and room was ready, great!!

Excellent clean budget accomodation downtown.

This a basic unit with good size kitchen and bathroom. The room is large enough. The furnishings are basic but very comfortable and clean and in good repair. The proximity to the CBD is excellent - only a short walk. The room rates are about half the rates of an upmarket place. Overall very comfortable and excellent value. I have stayed here before and will stay again.

Staff were friendly and nice. Location is just on the edges of the city and a 20 min walk to the centre or railway stations. Floors were
Swept and horizontal surfaces very clean, but vertical not so much.
Building is quite old and minimum work has been done over the last decade or two and things like aircon barely work. However it’s a genuine 3 room apartment and the only place in or next to the city for under $100 per night where you have your own bathroom and free onsite parking so value for money is on par.

I enjoyed my stay here, it's my 2nd time. The location is amazing, walk to every where, kings Park and the city on your door step. The staff were helpful and the room was clean. The only complaint i have is the TV was so small it was hard to watch in bed and i couldn't move it. The price is great and I would recommend this accommodation.

There was good communication on when to check in and how to arrange for the keys if I was arriving after hours. The parking was straight forward as you pull in and park in an empty space. The staff was friendly and helpful. The actual unit (hopefully all of them are not like this) desperately needed an upgrade. A fresh paint job, repairs to the doors and chipped areas, new plumbing fixtures and a new shower/tub could easily be done to raise the rating. The tv was so small that I think my computer monitor is bigger. There is nothing really in the bedroom area besides the beds. The kitchen is dated but did have all the amenities including refrigerator, toaster, microwave (old) etc. The location was nice as it was at the bottom of Mount near the bridge and down from the park.

The apartments were in a great location but they are quite old and the furniture and floor coverings and exterior are very dated. The rooms were clean. Both rooms we used had a double bed which causes some issues for people over 6 feet tall.

Cheap and nasty. The place was very dirty but so close to the city. Broken furniture (a lamp table) that should have been thrown out. Air-conditioning that only worked on cold and a very thin cotton blanket on the bed.

The police come here a couple of times a week and scan the cats number plates in the car park and hang around all suss. It’s a bit unpleasant. We will probably not use this place anymore because of the police. Just go home and mind your business.

Nothing it was discussing and did not stay I would recommend it to anyone. The room stunk of sweat and awful other odours. I could not stay. I was going to hospital for a procedure and needed somewhere reasonable to stay afterwards. Doesn’t look anything like photos shown. Dark dank and grimy. I went to another place and for a little extra cost stayed at another place which was closer to 3.5 to 4 star s and would happily to there again. But event if I was desperate I would never go to mount way holiday apartments, they are gross. And very, very poor condition and in my opinion shouldn’t even be open.

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this room considering it was right near the CBD. Not only was there free parking, but the kitchen had cooking utensils, the shower was hot and the bed was pretty good too. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly positioned next to kings park botanical gardens and a 5 minute walk to convention centre then into the city for all it had to offer. Very basic but clean air con well equipped kitchen and excellent service. And best of all the price was sooooo good👍

Excellent location - few minutes walk to kings garden and a minute from CBD - the walk bridge across the highway opens right on the hotel steps and is about half a minute to walk across to CBD. WiFi was fine. kitchen was fully functional with crockery and utensils. The small balcony was usable for two people to sit down and have a snack/ meal. While the room was neat, there were some items that needed attention such as window blinds etc - but we did not bother much about those items as the hotel gave high value for lower money spent.

If you just need a good bed and shower, then this is really good value for money! We were out every day, so just needed a place to sleep every night, and a decent shower. The only drawback was that the TV was pretty tiny, and did not extend out from the wall, so it was a bit of a strain to see it clearly

Meet a need to be close to Perth City for work. The rate charge was good value for money considering it included free parking. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Great place for those on a budget, and the early morning walk to Kings Park (right on the doorstep) was great way to start the day. - Rob

I arrived late, no free parking spaces had to park on road and have car moved by 8am.
Very bare basic, but understandable at price.
Only floor towel, no body towels in bathroom.
Blinds do not stop lights from outside.
Air conditioner filter full.
Very noisy from road.
Room in desperate need of paint/renovate.
Bathroom had been upgraded, basic.
I will say room was clean.
And great position.
Won’t be going back.

The location was perfect,walking distance to the main part of the city and kings park and just 20 minutets to UWA by bus/bicycle. The staffs were friendly and always try to meet my requirements. The room fasicities were a bit old and sometimes broken but nothing is undurable. You would also be aware of the sound from highway. Also you need to have cash to do your laundry. All in all, my stay was good here, thank you !!

wi fi was rubbish i waited 45 minutes to load my emails. it was next to a very busy road with 8 lanes going by all hours bed sunk in the middle, there were brown stains all over the bed base, this place needs updating and painting . not a full kitchen . on its good side it was near to public transport over a bridge

We have used Mountway Holiday Apartments on many occasions. This is not a 5 star accommodation but very clean and tidy and central to the city and all hospitals. Has it's own kitchenette for longer cheaper stays.
