Hotel is dated and feels neglected. Bathroom was not clean and had hair from previous guest. Room had a smell of bathroom. It was an okay stay for night but would not stay again. Also on Expedia there was suppose to be a welcome drink that was not offered at check in. I had to go back and ask. The outside of the hotel is a bit rough at night.

This hotel was fine, it’s a bit basic. Beds were comfortable. There was construction across the street which started around 6.30am with trucks arriving. There’s no wardrobe, there’s 3 hanger to hang clothes which is fine for over night but we were here for 5 days

I would be very careful in staying again in the so-called “Petite King” rooms for more than a couple of nights for business visits. A bit inconvenient with small room to move, no cupboard, no iron/ironing board (were provided on request but rooms not come equipped), one barely medium size table with kettle and supposed to be used for all other business work. Slightly disappointed on this visit with what the management has done.

The property was well located close to shops restaurants and public transport. The room was basic but ok for a single traveller on a short break. The bed was too soft and springy for my liking and the door didn't close properly unless you pulled it firmly shut. Despite being aware of this and ensuring that the door was properly locked when I went out it was unlocked when I returned in the evening. I presume that the housekeeping staff did not close it properly when they left the room.

It is convenient to Perth Royal Hospital which was my reason for choosing this Hotel.
Plenty of dining options close by. Close to shopping malls. Even close for some tourist options if I had the time.
Only negative was it needed a chair in the room. Yes there was a small stool but for older people especially a chair with a back would be far more comfy, hard to sit on a bed for long periods if you have a bad back.

We booked to stay here for 3 nights within 30mins of checking in! Hotel was clean, good price and service from reception staff was excellent.

We had a problem with the safe not working in our room upon check in. The reception staff tried to fix but couldn’t so changed our room without issue.

Rooms were of a decent size and clean and tidy and of good decor. Only criticism would be that there wasn’t enough room to hang clothes (no wardrobes and only 3 hangers on a hook!)

But great hotel and fantastic location for us - all easy walking distance to Elizabeth Quay, Kings Park etc!

Very good base to stay, very walkable to Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Street Jetty- ferries to Rottnest Island -. Very handy to have OMG Toasties joined to the reception for a quick breakfast in the morning. Room was very nice, bathroom clean with toiletries on the wall. Not much hanging space but it certainly was fine for us for 5 nights.

Average in most areas . Pictures on Expedia are very misleading. Rooms are small, shower leaks water from under the door so your towel becomes sopping wet when you step out. The beds are too soft and lumpy . Shower pressure is weak and to save not stepping out onto a puddle you have to point the shower into the corner and shower against the wall practically .
This area of Perth is continently located to everything and within walking distance to almost all landmarks and tourist spots .

The check-in process was very smooth and the staff made it even more pleasant. While the room was small it was clean and well furnished. The aircon is super efficient but as we were there during a heatwave it was much appreciated. The hotel is close to the shopping malls and loads of dining options.

The Perth Pensione: Highly Recommended!

The Pensione hotel in wonderful Perth and its entire staff are fabulous: 10/10! The hotel location in Perth CBD is excellent, unbeatable whether walking or by amazingly simple low cost Perth Translink bus and/or train services. The Pensione property is modern and exceptionally maintained. Best of all is the entire staff…awesome!! Thanks, especially to Julia and Michelle and the front desk guys for all your help and considerations on our multiple stays. Highly Recommended. Tell them Bob and Carole from LA, USA sent you!

View isnt great, and people on the street can clearly see in... the bed is close to the window so I'm pretty sure people saw me in a state of undress had they looked up and before i realised this. Not a busy street, and there are blinds but they're blockout, and I prefer natural light hence the comment.
No hand towels provided.
Only a hook to act as a wardrobe.
Water jug wasnt filled to cool water for our arrival.
No fan in the ensuite.

Clean, v comfortable bed, quiet, walking distance to cbd area, great parking options close by (Wilsons is cheaper overnight but can't access after 10pm)
Nice selection of teas.

Overall fine experience, but not amazing. Room was very small, there was an extra charge to check in a couple of hours earlier. The room wasn’t soundproof and there was a lot of noise from the adjacent rooms and the hallway.
