The apartment itself was spacious and quite modern. The street was fairly quiet. Staff were very pleasant.
Air conditioning units didn’t work (maybe dead batteries??). Bed wasn’t very comfortable & pillows were awful. No hair dryer in the room - managed to track one down from another apartment. No dishwasher. Sleep was limited due to a consistent rumbling sound all night… seemed to be some kind of ventilation system noise but couldn't track down where it was coming from. The ad said parking available onsite - but neglected to mention an extra $28/day charge. Sneaky and misleading.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. Although my booking was for six people, the room provided only had one large bed and two single beds. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, I was told a solution would be provided, but no follow-up ever came.
As a result, I had no proper place to sleep and ended up on the couch, which was uncomfortable and had an unpleasant smell. The room itself also carried a noticeable odor. This made the stay very difficult, especially as I needed to drive a long distance the following day. Overall, the lack of support from the staff and the poor room condition left a very negative impression.

I was very happy with my apartment, it was easy to get to and a good walk into the CBD which I prefer. I liked the secure parking and easy internal access to my apartment. I couldn't get one of the burners to work on the hob and the extractor fan didn't work but they were the only minor issues.

I really wanted to like this hotel but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. I’ll start with the positives.

A king size bed, good central location, parking available (but not cheap at $28), nice modern bathrooms, good self catering facilities.

I called the day prior to our check in, to confirm my arrival time & book parking. The parking bay number I was told was actually blocked off with a cone & had laundry trolleys in it. The check in time I gave was obviously not noted as I kept getting messages and a call the next day & was asked to provide my credit card details off this site which goes against hotel.com instructions. I’d booked for two adults and one 11 year old child, only to get to the room and there was no where for the child to sleep. When I called the hotel, I was told I had needed to make an additional request for a bed for the child. Never have I ever had to spell it out to a hotel, that everyone on the booking actually needs a bed to sleep in. So we then had to find our own bedding to stick over the couch cushions as the hotel couldn’t do anything to help us at 6.30pm. Always nice pulling out the couch cushions and finding tooth flossers and cotton buds too. The carpets were stained all throughout unit. On trying to leave the hotel early the next day, the garage remote didn’t fit in the key drop box, again trying to contact the hotel number and having to explain the situation to what I assume is an overseas line & it dropped out, I gave up. Never again.

Disappointing for four reasons: (1) We arrived to find no reception and had to travel to a different hotel to get the key. (2) Hotel very dated. Holes in the dining chairs, stained carpets, dirty showers, random holes in the wall. (3) Room was incomplete, e.g. no sponges or rags for the kitchen, no rubbish bin in the kitchen. (4) They charged our credit card three days before we arrived when the booking said it would be processed on-site, which led to some confusion.
We raised some of these issues and we're told it was Expedia's fault for not communicating to us, so not much accountability from the hotel itself.
Other that that, it was fine (beds were relatively comfortable, location is pretty good). But we wouldn't stay again.

Condition of the furniture was very poor. We had to uses towels on the chairs as the vinyl was that bad it hit to sit on. Carpets stained. Faulty power points. Blown light bulbs. Dust everywhere. Dishwasher removed. We had to rewash the dishes to use them. Piles of rubbish just left in the carpark. The beds were the only good thing… For the price, definitely not worth it. I would not recommend.

The property is ideally located to explore Perth and is only 10 to 15 mins walk to the CBD. The management team was very helpful and resourceful. On site secure parking was great. Sleep quality was not that great given the construction work over 3 days. I would suggest keeping a vacuum cleaner in the unit as housekeeping is scheduled weekly only. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

The property was quiet and peaceful, and the staff I had contact with could not have been more helpful and pleasant. My only complaint with my room (room 003) was that the reading lamp alongside the bed did not work, the handbasin in the bathroom took a LONG time to drain, and the coffee cups in the kitchen cupboard needed a good clean. (One is now very clean - I washed it) Housekeeping should check these every day.

The receptionist was far to busy speaking in a foreign language to her friends to fail to tell me when the bond was going back into my account and made me feel rushed out and like she couldn’t be bothered. When entering the property the carpets were absolutely filthy along with the dovet that had yellow stains on it, there was a loud on off droning noise coming from the balcony right next to the bedroom window, let us have all but four hours sleep. The water in the shower was absolutely freezing.To pay over $250 for one night for this is absolutely atrocious and we won’t be going back or recommending anyone else to go.

Loved the location, super convenient to Northbridge restaurants and bars. We arrived after hours and the instructions were easy to follow. Only downside was no sachets of milk for an evening cuppa or morning coffee… but excellent options 400m away!! Would recommend!!

Poorly cleaned and maintained but hopoefullywilll improve after renovations.

Nice little apartment however checking in off site was a pain. Apartment was clean and tidy however couldn’t have visitors to the apartment without risking a $200 fine. No hairdryer, no power points beside bed and very poor tv reception with no Foxtel. Minimal kitchen equipment for food prep and no dishwasher.

I was unaware of the check in process. I was not emailed nor personally contacted about the process of checking in. I did not know that check in was located at Attika apartments, I had to call reception to ask. I was also not provided with a garage remote but was fortunate enough to have found one in the key returns box so I was able to park my car in the apartments parking area. If I had not found this garage remote, my car would have been left on the street.

The manager did rectify the problem the following day by dropping off a dryer, but their handyman was on holiday and couldn’t hang it in the laundry room and put it in a space with no power. It doesn’t take too much to install a hanging dryer and I moved it to the balcony so I could dry my close.

The dishwasher was loud and lacked dishwasher soap, the sink faucet was cheap, the toilet paper was a step up from sand paper, a bottle of water was $3. You don’t have to buy top of the line appliance, just not the cheapest. The small things that when added counted against them.

the apartment was large and roomy. had most of everything we needed. our dryer didnt work but they were happy to move us into another room. The carpets were quiet stained and the car parking is expensive but you really dont have a choice. If i needed anything is was no drama. Staff were very good. We were there for 2 weeks had no vacuum or broom and apartments not serviced in that time. They did come and ask us if we needed anything though. Position is good. Not far in city and only about $10 into city by uber. For price you pay you cant expect everything. It was ok. Did the job. Im in the middle with this one

If your e ever going to text positive for Covid ., this is the place you would want to be staying. I was checking out and I pissed tested positive. Needless to say I was in a major stress mode the girls down at the reception absolutely brilliant they took action immediately and everything was done such a professional manner I very much appreciate the patience that was shown to me during my state of panic. Ann unusual review but probably more common in the future with the way the world is now. I thought it very relevant to post this review for those that are concerned about travelling in 2022 .. is that the staff of Zappeion apartments will take a personal approach to any problems that might arise. Even COVID .
