Room was small. There is no A/C. No free bottled water. No toothbrush (you need to pay). Horrible location in the middle of nowhere. Literally no restaurants within walking distance. Staff neglected to tell me I had $100 USD credit for the room until we checked out. The only upside is the room decor, which was unique.

For a five star hotel, it feels like the service requires a significant upgrade. To begin with, there is a 15 GBP charge to access the sauna. Breakfast is also quite messy and consistently crowded. Furthermore, the lifts take an eternity to arrive, and quite often we found ourselves having to push open the gigantic front doors ourselves to enter or exit.
Regarding our room, the shower water kept flowing out onto the floor. We also ran out of shower gel and had to go out to find staff to ask for more. Finally, the television did not work properly and was not suitable for non Korean speakers.
The bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

Amazing stay- 5 stars all the way for Mondrian! The hotel is beautiful with amazing art pieces and a beautiful indoor garden display. Restaurants on site all have delicious food with plenty of variety including one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have ever eaten at with plenty of halal options. The breakfast buffet every morning was fantastic, the best way to start your day before heading out to Seoul. The staff was so friendly and helpful, front door staff and concierge made our lives so much easier coming and going during our stay. The location in Itaewon is excellent, you can walk to the main Itaewon street with restaurants (western and Korean), shopping, and culture- including the beautiful Seoul Grant Central Mosque. Overall, I would highly recommend the Mondrian for anyone visiting Seoul!

Great stylish hotel right in the heart of Itaewon. The location is super convenient considering there’s both a 7/11 and a Starbucks across the street. The rooms were clean. Beds were a little stiff but still comfortable after such a long flight! It made me sad I was only laying over in Seoul and wouldn’t have more time to spend. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon very much. The hotel is so very nice with beautiful appointed rooms and lovely restaurants and bars.The staff were amazing, they attended to all of our needs and inquiries. Erin was wonderful, she checked us in earlier after our arrival from Italy, arranged to store our luggage in storage until we returned back to the hotel from our Busan stay and looked after us in our last three days in Seoul, she was a gem. Kenny help us navigate and made suggestions for our visits in Seoul and Symphony was so very kind to treat us to some wine and make us feel very special, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.
We had a wonderful time, thank you to all.

Our room faced the back and despite being on a high floor did not have much of a view. Rooms facing the front have a very good view, as we saw when one was being cleaned.

I stayed at this hotel on my first ever visit to Korea and Seoul. The property has a terrific looking lobby and I am a huge fan of the design. However, I came to realize that this is more of a party hotel with a pool, poolside bar and other such amenities for Seoul dwellers that come here on staycations. There is also some weird lower floor with stores and such that looks like a mall or something? And I have no idea if it is even supposed to be part of the hotel. At any rate, this might not be the ideal property if you're here as a tourist exploring Seoul since it's a bit far from the subway stations and there's not much touristy in the area & the rooms are also quite small and for some reason the shower & bathroom door are semi-transparent - but on the whole, this is a solid 4/5 place to stay. The room was clean and in a very good condition. The breakfast buffet isn't the biggest but decent and the restaurant is nice looking.

Mondrian Itaewon is a reasonably priced high quality option. Conveniently located for the north side of Seoul. Rooms are functional - reasonably sized and well equipped. You can't use the outdoor pool you need to pay like 50000 won if you want to use it. I complained about it and they get me 2 passes for my daughter and I to use them. I only booked that hotel for the outdoors pool to be honest. Very far from the metro station in Itaewon. *Walked like easy 4 or 5 blocks to get to the Hotel.
The employees were the best, very attentive, willing to help, English speakers.

I stayed at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon for 15 days and every moment was exceptional. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the kindness of the security team, the staff made me feel valued and cared for.

The hotel is stunning modern, artistic, and full of vibrant energy. My room was spotless, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches. Dining at Cleo and relaxing in the lounge spaces made each day feel special.

The location in Itaewon is perfect close to everything, yet peaceful. What stood out most was the atmosphere of true hospitality. This wasn’t just a stay it felt like home.

The hotel was beautiful, had helpful staff, and wonderful amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed the deep tissue massage in the spa.

Surprisingly, one of the more desirable amenities, the outdoor pool, came with an additional charge and time restrictions. Also, there was construction next door that began working as early as 6am, which was inconvenient for sleeping. I realize the latter is not within the hotel's control, but a disclosure or effort to place guests further from the construction noise would have been appreciated. My room was in the closest corner to the construction possible, so it was quite loud for me.

Other than having a full service fitness center, nothing about this hotel is particularly 5 stars. At best, it’s a rather mediocre 4 star.

My first room smelled of cigarettes, but thankfully, the staff promptly changed rooms. The sauna facilities were rather average, not less than average.

Although the front desk was friendly and polite, they poorly communicated to me about checking out early.

The location too is also quite bus dependent.

Excellent property, facilities and location were perfect for our trip. Close to Hannam, Yongsan and Itaewon main area. Breakfast is good in the hotel restaurant Cleo, great selection of options. Privilege Bar is great, lovely cocktails and welcoming staff with a cool vibe. Room had a good layout and all the facilities you would expect, even a water machine in the room. Only drawback was that our housekeeping lady had a terrible cold and my partner caught it. The WiFi if different in your room as it is to the communal areas so logging onto different networks is a little annoying. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely return

Booked this for two days whilst visiting my brother, sis-in-law and new nephew, to give them some relaxation and something a little special. It ticked all the boxes, lovely room, lovely facilities, we used the indoor pool as it was out of season for the outdoor one. Nearby a great place to go for a drink or two in Itaewon.

However, there were a few disappointments. Upon check-in, the shower products were completely empty, which was frustrating after nearly 20 hours of travel. A couple of the major museums and parks are walkable from the hotel. The hotel staff were incredible helpful for everything and always available. I was able to leave my medication that required refrigeration in the room fridge filled with beer. I was not charged for using to store my medication in this fridge. They have restaurants within the hotel and just outside. There is a Seven11 store open 24 hours across the street and a Starbucks. The fitness room was fantastic. A large selection of modern equipment and a yoga/stretch room too. I checked out very early in the morning for a race. The hotel allowed me to use their fitness center shower after the race before I left for the airport.

A modern, clean and attractive hotel with great facilities on site such as pool and large gym, book store, bakery, convenience store, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and with Starbucks and 7-11 across the street.

Generally quiet, with the hotel being a good 10 minute walk from the main part of Itaewon. Not particularly close to anywhere else, we mainly relied on Uber to get to Myeongdong, Seoungsu, Insadong etc, all of which were roughly 15 minutes away in the car.

Rooms are too warm in winter, had to keep the window open all night.

Rooms are small. We are a family of four with a 10 and 6 year old, and we contacted the hotel in advance to check if the room would be sufficient for us, and were told they could not provide an additional bed, but assured us the bed in the room would be enough for our family. It really wasn’t. It was difficult, very difficult, only the children slept well, with the adults doing their best to work around it.

So I will say the service was great, they were super duper, nice. But my room was extremely hot and I could not the temperature of the room to come down. When I arrived at check in, I was starving. Every restaurant inside of the hotel closes from 2pm-5pm. So I had to walk to find food. The location is a short walk from everything that's happening, so that was a positive. And it would have been nice to know that the spa is completely separate from the hotel. You cannot make or cancel reservations through the hotel. The sauna facilities we're overrated. Overall, I probably would not stay at this location again. Of note because they are tagged luxury hotel. They expect you to pay 19,000 won for a beer, that can be found at the CU. The breakfast buffet in the morning was actually pretty good. The rooftop lounge and all the other lounges in the hotel, are just ok. If you just want to blow some money please stay here.

Property was clean enough, there are some areas that need improvement. For duration of my 9 day stay, housekeeping didn’t empty the bin in my washroom a few times, My room floor wasn't swept/cleaned, still found bits of tags/paper on the floor.

My bathroom had a leaky issue which was fixed rather quickly, I was given a drinks voucher which I appreciated at the time. When it came time to use it, it was pretty restrictive.

Very good restaurants options in the restaurant and nearby Itaewon area. Two bus stops within 1-5 mins walk of the hotel. A station is about 15mins walk as well.

Concierge/Reception were always quick to help whenever I needed assistance.

On the whole, I believe 4 stars is an appropriate rating.

The staff is friendly. I did not get free upgrade as gold member of Expedia. The room toilet has no bidet or washlet like other 5 star hotel I stayed in Korea. The elevator took unusual long time to come, a lot of times the elevator is so crowded. Very uncomfortable and Very inconvenient.

Mondrian is an excellent hotel. My only complaint - but a significant one - is that it is hot everywhere - including in rooms. A/C cools only to about 25C/77F. I was sweaty and sticky the entire time I was there. I probably will not stay there again.

Great range of facilities with a range of bars, restaurants and cafes available. Great outdoor pool. Some damage in room, chipped furniture and cracked floor tiles invthe shower which i woukx not havd expected from a 5 star hotel. We enjoyed every moment at the Mondrian. We extended our stay for an extra night. The indoor and outdoor pool was spectacular. Cleo is an extraordinary restaurant. Every meal was delicious. We can’t wait to return.

Complicated Check-in / Great Compensation

Check-in was a bit complicated. Arrived shortly after 3 pm and was given a time to return after 4 pm due to a large number of guests checking in. Returned at 4 pm and was told the check-in system was down. Unable to complete check-in until after 5 pm. The concierge gave us 2 free outdoor pool passes (60,000 won value) and allowed us to check out at 1 pm instead of 11 am as compensation. I also had a dog with me and the overnight fee is 110,000 won. They do bring a dog bed, water/food bowl, and a pee pad up to the room for the dog. The room was nice and clean, although the refrigerator was not very cold. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
