I really enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse. The room was very clean and had everything that I needed. The rooms were quiet, I could rest well. The owner was very nice and helpful. The location is amazing, there are millions of cafes nearby and there’s a 24/7 supermarket 1 minute from the property.

My second time here! I really enjoyed my time at suncity guest house. The location is amazing, in the heart of gangnam and 1 minute walk from the sinsa station.
My only thing, the shelf on top of the bathroom sink was quite loose, I was afraid to put something on it.
Also, this is not negative, just something to know. The walls seems pretty thins. The rooms beside me were occupied by Americans that came back very late at night/ in the middle of the night and they were very loud. I could hear everything.

The staff were very responsive and helpful throughout my entire stay. The rooms were clean and my stay was very nice overall. The area to get into the property was a bit run down but it wasn't any serious detriment to my trip.

The entrance is a bit dark and uninviting, being accessed through a car park, but the reception office is located there by the entrance so it was fine. The accommodation itself is of good standard although not really any sound proofing.

SunCity was a little difficult to find, but the area was super cute. The room was perfectly big enough for my two huge suitcases with plenty of room to move around. The guy who worked there was super nice and helpful, and he explained everything very well.

I love how nice the check in gentleman was, he told us everything we needed to know, even how to turn on the TV since everything was in Korean. He also handed us a sheet of paper with a lot of information, such as wifi password, check out time, and check out instructions. Very good hospitality!

it was a residential building which has tens of mini rooms, each of which was posted as a different room. basically, it might be suitable for a solo traveler who doesnt care much about the room condition. it was clean but definitely not ideal. thought it was a but pricey.

We had a private room. This hostel is very close to the bus and metro station Sensa stop and orange line - the area where it is it is not the most attractive but there are restaurent all around including Burger King. The guy serving there was very nice and hard working. The hostel and the room are very clean and very secure, and washing machine and hangers available for free and there is a closet in the room and private toilet/shower. The only down sides is: there is no common area to sit and eat (kitchenette available though)-you have to eat in your room. So it is mainly to rest and sleep which suited our trip purpose . Very good value for money

Staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, speaking fluent English and accommodating my needs. On my checkout day, they let me keep my 4 pieces of luggage for a few hours after checkout, until I departed. They also arranged in a matter of minutes via KakaoTalk for a taxi to take me to the airport (flat fee of 60,000 won). Speaking of which, the staff are readily available via chat apps such as KakaoTalk and WeChat, which I greatly appreciated and which lent the place a modern and convenient vibe.
The room itself is nothing special, with an 80s design, a small bathroom, and a small bedroom. The walls are unfortunately quite thin, which means you can hear the neighbors talking, although this never kept me up. There is a common entryway, where you put your shoes in a cabinet.
You can specify on your door whether you want housekeeping or not.
There is a security code to enter the building (although I would not worry about safety in Gangnam), and my room had a physical key to enter my room. I saw that other rooms had key cards.
The area, Gangnam, is renowned for its fun and youthfulness. This hotel is on the northern end of Gangnam, near Sinsa Station, which means you will need to walk or take a bus to the really active areas of Gangnam. Once you get there you will find plenty of shopping, with trendy clothing stores. You can easily take the Metro to other areas of the city.

Gangnam on a budget
This hotel was a great stay for my husband and me in the Gangnam area over the Chuseok holiday. The staff was very welcoming, and explained everything we might need to know for our stay. The property is close to two subway lines and within easy walking distance to trendy shops, coffee cafes, and brunch spots.

This hotel was a hidden gem. A min or so away from the Shinsa subway station, I was able to use this hotel as a starting point to get to Gangnam, Itaewon, and Hongdae. The bed was comfortable, they provide water and coffee in the room, and the staff was very nice and accomodating. Please note that the bathroom utilizes a traditional sink shower and is very small. Rubber sandals are provided for this reason. I would stay here again

The room was extremely clean, with all expected amenities. Service was prompt and owners were kind and helpful. Owners had mentioned some guests were mistaken with the description of a guest house, expecting a hotel. This is a guest house, and an excellent one at that. Location is less than 5 minute walk to subway, yet is tucked away to provide some reduction in noise from the busier street. Nearby is a plethora of local restaurants, eating at anytime is never an issue. Convenience store is 3 min walk, and provides any extras you might have forgotten. All in all would rate this accommodation 5/5 and will definitely stay here again!

I arrived at Sinsa, Gangnam after taking the Shuttle Bus from the Airport. It was the first stop from there so it was great, although it still took like 45 mins. From the advice of the Airport [English speaking] Info Desk, they advised me to go to Exit 3 of Sinsa Station of which I did.
Unfortunately I got a little bit lost after that so I went into another hotel and asked for some more help. Hotels are great places to ask for help as nearly all of them are guaranteed to speak English. The receptionist actually called them up, and the manager guy actually came over to the Hotel to come and get me, helping with the luggage too!
The hostel is actually the first left as you come out of Sinsa Station Exit 3, right before a Krispy Kreme donut shop. After this left you take the 2nd right (if I remember correctly) and it is a very steep upward road. Then you will see the sign Sun City Residence. Another left into a car park and then to your left again is the entrance.
The first glass door requires a password which the manager will give you. You take the elevator to your floor, and then open a door to the apartment block which should always be open according to the manager. The apartment is a floor with a long corridor and had a small kitchen area in it and a washing machine area too. This was then surrounded by rooms (about 6 I think) of which had its own locks. The manager gave me a kinda small round \"button\" keycard, of which you swipe to get in your own room.

この宿のお姉さんが親切で優しいです。今回も長い滞在になったので帰る様な気持ちで宿泊しました。細く急な坂の上にある建物なのでタクシーの運転手さんに失礼な暴言を吐かれる事もありますが、色々と便利な立地でもあります。

Mold, humidity and no ventilation system whatsoever. You feel moist and uncomfortable the whole time you are there. Even my clothes in the closet felt damp! The owner is well aware of the problems but has one magic solution “open the window”. Even after hours with the window opened, the bathroom never dries up because the air outside is humid too. When it’s hot, the humidity brings in mosquitoes (they refused to put A/C because it wasn’t summer), when it’s cold, you freeze and it’s still humid. The owner claimed that when they did the once a week cleaning, everything had dried just by opening the window. When I came back, everything was seemingly dry until I noticed that one panel of the window was still covered in water and condensation exactly like when I had left in the morning, they had forgotten to wipe that one. So yeah, it hadn’t \"dried naturally”, it had been wiped. Note that they didn’t clean the mold…
They claimed that it’s that way in Korea…but I spent 3 days in Busan close to the sea and the room was perfectly ventilated because they had invested in an actual system. It shouldn’t be permitted to have guests without that. Korea is a very advanced country in technology so it’s not “Korean structure” that is a problem, it’s the owner not investing in the property and thinking that the location would be enough to draw people in. It’s unprofessional and unhealthy for the guests.

現地に到着するまでゲストハウスから何の連絡も頂けず、どうやって入室するのかもわからず不安でした。到着してゲストハウスの入口にLINEのIDがあるのを見つけてそちらに連絡したところ、すぐに返信をもらい部屋の暗証番号を教えてもらえました。オーナー様は事前にメッセージを送ったとおっしゃっていましたが、私がゲストハウスに着いた時刻16:50には受信しておらず、その後18:40にメッセージを受信しました。ただ、LINEでの応対は迅速でしたので問題なく入室することができました。
部屋は清潔でしたし、冷蔵庫やハンガー、ドライヤー、歯ブラシ、シャンプー、シャワールームにはサンダルもありました。ベッドもキレイで匂いや汚れもありませんでしたし、オーナー様がとても気を使われているのがわかりました。ただ、テレビのリモコンの使い方が最後までわかりませんでした。テレビが点いたり点かなかったり意味不明でした。

今回は非常に良い経験になりました。こちらに限らず、またゲストハウスを利用したいかと言えば、寝るだけだったら全然アリだと思います。部屋でくつろぎたいとかゆっくりしたいとかは無理だと思うので、そういう場合それなりのホテルを利用した方が良いと思います。

韓国一人旅で利用しました！新沙駅近くてアクセス抜群でした！チェックインの際に場所がわからず迷ってしまったのですが、ホストの方が迅速にメッセージに回答してくれて安心でした。ゲストハウスなので、廊下では他の部屋のドライヤーの音など聞こえましたが、部屋にいるとそんなに気にならなかったです。みなさんも仰っている通り少し古い設備でしたが、清潔に保たれていて好印象でした。この立地この値段であればとってもコスパがいいと思います！

3日間の滞在でした。他のゲストハウスと比較して、掃除が共用部・個室部分ともに行き届いていてとても過ごしやすかったです。寝具もタオルも無臭でありがたい。ポットや冷蔵庫、ドライヤー等ひと通り設備も揃っており、各階の共用キッチンにはレンジと浄水器があって便利でした。他の部屋の音も全く気にならなかったです。スタッフの方とは直接会う機会が少なかったですが、LINEで連絡が取れるので困ることはなかったです。新沙駅すぐそこ、空港リムジンバス停留所も交差点渡ってすぐでものすごい便利でした。坂道だけがしんどい立地でしたが、帰国日スーツケースを預かってもらったついででスタッフの方が運んで下さいました。ありがとうございました、江南方面で用事がある時はまた泊まります！

Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen. Weniger als 5 Minuten entfernt von Sinsa-Station. Und nur wenige Stationen mit der Metro von Gangnam-Station. Zudem hält ein Bus, der direkt zum Incheon-Flughafen fährt weniger als 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Die Informationen zu den Möglichkeiten für einen Transfer zum Flughafen sind sehr prominent in der Unterkunft angebracht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Möglichkeit, mit den zuständigen Personen via WhatsApp oder Kakao-talk zu kommunizieren, ist sehr hilfreich und gibt einem die Möglichkeit, auch wenn man nicht vor Ort ist, Fragen beantwortet zu bekommen und Hilfe zu erhalten.
Die Größe und Ausstattung waren sehr gut für meine Ansprüche (ein sicherer Ort für Übernachtung und persönliche Hygiene). Mein Plan war, viel Zeit außerhalb der Unterkunft zu verbringen. Dafür ist sie sehr zu empfehlen.

新沙駅まですぐで立地が凄く良く、広さもスーツケースが広げられるスペースがありました。ホテルまでの坂道がスーツケースを持って上がるのが少ししんどかったですが距離は短いです。冷蔵庫がゲストハウスにしては大きく良く冷えて、清掃もアリ・ナシ毎日札をドアに提示で選べます。タオルのみの交換も出来ます。シャワールームのみでトイレと一緒ですが広さがあり、日本語を話せるお兄さんが居て説明を丁寧にしてくれました。建物自体は古い感じがしましたけどゲストハウスにしてはかなり良いかと。また利用したいと思いました。
