Clean room, comfortable bed, lots of storage space for luggage and to hand up clothes. Concierge staff was great. When we first checked in, we smelled cigarette smoke in our room. We tried airing it out for a few hours while we went out. When we got back, the room still smelled. This was supposed to be a non smoking room. We called the front desk and they sent someone to come and smell our room. The man who came into our room said he couldn’t smell anything and told us he couldn’t do anything and told us to call the front desk. They sent a staff from the concierge staff he came in and said the room smelled so bad and apologized. He said the hotel is known for people smoking in rooms. He moved us into another room. The hotel did provide any comps for the inconvenience, except for the offer of a late check out which we did not take. The room was comfortable, but we prepared for the bathroom. There was a shower room in which the door did not close all the way and was not sealed well, the hand shower head faced the door so water went out on the bathroom floor. We spent each night drying the floor after showering. We had the coffee and the strawberry tea set. The coffee was very bland, and the tea set looked very pretty but the taste was so so.

Our room was cleaned each day... the staff did a wonderful job. They also left us an extra bottle of water/coffee pods each day... We loved the room we booked with the kitchen amenities . We make noodles we purchased at a local store and boiled eggs. We also like how theres a separate living area/ bedroom. I had to work from 11pm- 2am each day due to the time difference which didn't disturb my familr.

Stayed for a week in a serviced apartment, which was beautiful, clean and spacious. Many of the staff spoke excellent English, which was very helpful. Food was all lovely, room service food was hot, delicious and well presented, and breakfast was honestly the nicest I’ve had in any hotel. The concierge, Chris was extremely helpful before we arrived, arranging transport and so on, and lovely whilst we were there. Hotel is extremely well located. Arranged a late check out for us without issue. Cannot fault it in any way and will definitely stay again when we return to South Korea.

The best hotel in Gangnam area ! Very luxurious with beautiful antiques decor in the lobby from 19 & 20 centuries. The residential bedroom is spacious, clean and has everything what you need for longer stay like electric stove , refrigerator, freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and The most important washer/dryer machine. Great amenities.
Breakfast buffet is very delicious with a lot of variety of Korean food , eggs, soups, bakery , juices etc.
it’s my first visit to Seoul and I’m happy with my choice!

As a frequent Travelers I will place this hotel at the top of my recommendation it was the highlight of my trip to Asia which included the Tokyo Macau and Seoul. The hotel is luxurious great location beautiful to say the least but also the staff including the concierge the front area manager the front desk were awesome people highly professional courteous polite and very Hospital. I even made to few networks working with the beautiful polite professional concierge Rose Lee and connected her with the Tampa Bay Area concierge Association at my home City Tampa Bay Florida. I'll give this hotel five stars all day long and I highly recommend it

I had such an amazing stay at the Imperial Palace! The staff were genuinely the sweetest I’ve ever encountered, from the reception team to the cleaners. The concierge team was very helpful, friendly, kind, understanding and spoke English. The door men and valets were friendly and helpful even though they didn’t speak englishThe front desk staff was nice, Some spoke English. The room cleaning staff was very disappointing and was not thorough or detailed. There was dust and dirt on the the glass shelves in the bathroom as well as the baseboard below the sink counter, in the cabinet next to the the mini fridge. A veriy thick layer. The desk, table and night stand surfaces. I was in the room and the desk and table was not wiped at all and we eat there. Inside the closet and drawers were dusty. Big clump of our long hair from the shower was left in the toilet area. We had to bring it up to the front desk and to the concierge. We had to regularly request for toilet paper as it was not replaced each day. Also we had to request for fresh bathrobes as they were not necessarily replaced. I came back to the room and saw the maid watching tv and then vacuumed part of the room like a S and not the whole room. We clean ed the dust and wiped the surfaces ourselves.

The hotel staff very helpful, the hotel lobby glamours, but the room temperature can’t set below 23.5c, very warm make me sweat. The hotel response to AC concern by citing government standard for saving energy, not sure if that’s true. The room sometimes smell sewerage. I stay for 7 nights and asked to change room on 3rd day, but get reply straight away that’s not possible.
In my opinion, this hotel maybe good for people on business account who do not give a damn what they pay for, but not personal traveller/holidays maker who count every dollars spent.

beautiful decor, blasting A/C with up to date tech remotes n controls. Loved how friendly n polite the whole staff was from maintenance to front concierge. Their breakfast was one of the best I've had so far, n I'm comparing to Europe which I just visited days before I checked into this hotel. everywhere is walkable, ez parking for ur guests, spacious drive way for taxi loading ur luggage-doormen (yes, not one but 2) are always present helping u. Loved the stay.

This is my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The staff was incredibly kind, the room was beautiful, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I was initially unsure if the breakfast would be worth the price, but it definitely was! Gorgeous display, a huge variety of choices and different types of cuisines (Korean, American, Chinese, French…) I would definitely stay here again!

I was informed upon check-in that nearly every amenity (gym, pool, etc) was closed. The lobby feels “grand,” but the rooms will look and feel outmoded to anyone who has stayed in a hotel since 1990. The rooms feel especially old-fashioned. Water dripped from the ceiling of my room, leaving a wet spot on the carpet below. Good breakfast.

The service was impeccable, the room was both elegant and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring Gangnam. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and warm hospitality throughout my visit. I would love to return someday

the hotel was very clean (except on the men’s toilet in the lobby when used 1 day (stayed 7 nights).

so many std rules to use the swimming pool that foreigner such as i am not aware of.

surprisingly, beyond the desk agents and bellmen, english was practically not usable on my encounters.

The Grand hotel was a Palace. And is Elegant in an exuberant Victorian style. The furnishings are all original and in superb condition. It is a treasure trove of valuable antiques. We had a memorable time especily being with our son Eduardo.

We stayed in the apartments. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and lovely. Overall, it was a great stay. Sofa could be softer. Had washer dryer and an LG styler. I booked the Suite at Grand Mercure Imperial Palace during my stay in Gangnam, and it was amazing. From the interior decoration to the our hotel room, everything was immaculate. All the staff were very friendly and professional, offering help whenever they can. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gangnam, as the location was perfect. It was minutes way from subways and bus stops, which made it incredibly easy to travel around. If I'm ever back in Korea in Gangnam, I plan to stay at this place again!

Beautiful palace but a little far from attractions

The property is very beautiful - it‘s a real palace. However it‘s pretty far from most of the attractions and the closest subway Station is about 10 minutes walk.
In the room there is an air conditioner but you can not control the temperature - as I was told by the receptionist it‘s central air conditioner for the whole wing and they can’t change temperature - so couple of evenings I found myself getting really cold with about 20 degrees in the room and tons of clothes to keep myself warm after shower

The lobby looks nice. The check-in counter staff were also friendly. However, one major disappointment was that as soon as I entered the room, there was a strange smell. The odor was unpleasant to the point of discomfort. Later at night, when I returned, unpacked, and tried to take a shower, I found that no water was coming out of the shower booth. I had to wait for almost an hour. Eventually, I requested a room change. I hope such issues do not happen again in the future, and it would be great if the rooms had a cleaner, fresher scent.

Pretty underwhelmed

This was an overnight in Seoul on our way back to the states. It was Christmas time so the lobby was super decked out! Unfortunately the Suite we reserved was anything but. It did have 2 rooms but minimal furniture and decorations. The bed was a Queen (not King) and furnishings looked about 30 or 40 years old. I think there is a newer wing that might be nicer.

I visited from Oct24 -Oct27.
Our room was very hot and humid, tried turning on the A/C but it was not working. When I called and complaint they told me that they turn the A/C off because it's not the season.... really??? I paid $400 a night with no a/c...
The room smelled moldy.... will never go back..
This hotel is very old and just micky moused the remodeling... please stay away and look elesewhere.

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The hotel lobby is clean, but the moment you get off the elevator to your room after checking in, there is an unpleasant smell. The room also has an unpleasant smell. The air conditioner is so loud that it is difficult to sleep. I made a reservation for 2 nights and 3 days, but I checked out in the morning after 1 night.

It seemed like the hotel was nowhere near ready to be re-opened. There was an issue with our first room - water leaking from the shower so we had to change the room twice, but the room we ended up with also had a few issues. Water tap just comes off because it wasn’t fitted properly, the desk chair was broken, bed not comfortable, room service not ready. The biggest disappointment was the pool - we booked specifically because it had an indoor pool and it was never opened. The water was dirty and green so it was never ready. They also don’t offer room service yet as it’s not ready.
Breakfast was nice, room at the back of the hotel were quiet, some of the staff were friendly and helpful - but overall, disappointing stay. They need a lot more work for this hotel to be ready for guests.

재오픈 준비가 제대로 되지 않은 상태로 무리하게 오픈하신 것은 아닌지 하는 생각이 듭니다. 객실 샤워 부스 물이 새어서 객실을 변경했는데, 변경 후 객실도 수도꼭지가 그냥 떨어지고 의자 반이 꺼져있는 등 문제들이 많았습니다. 객실을 세심하게 체크하고 준비한 흔적이 없어 너무나 아쉬웠습니다. 가장 큰 문제는 실내 수영장인데, 분명 예약시에 예약 사이트와 호텔 홈페이지를 다 체크했을때도 실내수영장을 운영하지 않는다는 공지는 없었습니다. 신랑이 이 호텔을 선택한 가장 큰 이유가 실내수영장이었는데 아무 설명이나 보상도 없이 그냥 '준비중'이라는 표시만 있고 이용을 할 수 없어서 매우 실망스러웠습니다. 수영장 물도 더럽고 누군가 청소를 하고 있는 것도 아니었으니 오픈 계획이 없으신건가요? 그렇다면 예약 시 분명히 공지가 되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 스탭 분들은 대부분 친절하셨고 조식은 전반적으로 괜찮았습니다만, 숙박객이 아직 많지 않아서 밥을 며칠간 놔두시는건지 하루는 흰 밥이 쉬어있어 아쉬웠습니다. 전반적으로 실망스러웠고 수영장 사용 불가 부분에 대해 보상을 요구하고 싶었던 스테이였습니다.
