This hotel was lovely and made my special occasion even more special by surprising me with a room decoration for my special occasion!!! They really went above and beyond during my stay!!!! The staff really are what makes this place worth staying. The rooms were pretty and the food was delicious. The only thing I would mention is that the rooms are not super noise proof…but I will 100% be back!

It's our second time staying at Voco Seoul Gangnam, and we absolutely love it! The location cannot be beat -- you're in Gangnam, and right across the street you can find so many different places to eat, shop, and explore. There are a lot of convenience stores nearby, and an OLIVE YOUNG right across too. It's easy to walk to the subway or to the bus stop. The Dosan Park area is a quick ride away too :) Definitely our go to place in Seoul!

Staff were very nice however the room was uncomfortable. Definitely need a long table to put my necessities. I had to put everything on the floor because you had a tiny round table. Chair was comfortable. Also need a converter. It would have been nice if the front desk provided a converter while checking in. I am from USA. Americans need a converter.

Reasonable business stay

I stayed two nights in the Premier King Bed room during a business trip to Seoul. While I appreciated the upgrade on my first night, the overall experience was underwhelming for a mid-luxury hotel.

Soundproofing was poor — I could clearly hear neighbors showering and hallway conversations, which made it difficult to rest as a light sleeper. The bathroom design was impractical, lacking adequate space to hang towels or clothes.

Breakfast felt overpriced given the limited variety, and basic amenities like a toothbrush were not provided — surprising at this level. Complimentary drinks were a small positive.

Although the hotel staff were professional and courteous, it felt like the personal touch has diminished; for example, reception no longer guides guests to the elevators. Overall, I’d rate my stay 3 out of 5 stars. Similar hotels nearby offer comparable accommodations and service at a lower cost.

When I checked in, the bathroom countertop had dried out contact lens and hair and the toilet bowl also had some tissue bits. I requested a deep clean of the room the next day and the contact lens and the tissue bits were still where they were. I booked 5 nights and every night I feel like it's dirty.

This small, friendly hotel is in an amazing location. It is close to the Sinsa subway station with lots of restaurants and shopping places near by. Staff is also very friendly. They have answers for all your questions. The only thing surprised me, was I got charged pretty hefty for local phone calls I made.

Voco’s location is in a prime location where everything is easily accessible. We arrived earlier than expected in the morning when check-in was 3pm. Willie Kim who checked us in was kind enough to let us check in early seeing that we had a 8 month old baby. He said they usually don’t do this, but luckily there was a room available. All the staff was so nice during our stay. I would definitely stay at Voco again the next time we visit. Highly recommend!

The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff were amazing , the rooms were a perfect size annd clean and the location was quiet. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and some shops too. The location is good but a little far out from the main areas BUT there is a train station 5 mins away and buses nearby so it’s easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this hotel !!

In overall, the staff are friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and at good location. The only comment I would give is that the room acoustic is not up to standard as we can hear traffic from the windows even the windows are closed. Also hearing sound from other rooms esp in shower room and the wall along tv. The sliding door idea for closet not quite user friendly.

The hotel was above average, clean and comfortable. The service for cleaning the room was fine except the first day they didn’t give us any hand towels and gave us new towels even though we left ours hung up to reuse. The shower was strong but the set up of the little glass did nothing to prevent water from getting everywhere on the floor. Personally I didn’t like the smell of the shampoo and soaps, but I can overlook that. We had a lot of issues with the AC. We would set the temperature but it would not get cooler despite the fan being on the highest setting. I wish they had given another suitcase holder because one of us had to leave our suitcase on the floor. Overall though, good hotel and in a good location too.

As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I was amazed by the property conditions and amenities. You can tell that the staff really put a lot of attention and work to make the hotel presentable and clean.
I was greeted with positive energy which made me even more excited for the stay.
I had a poor experience with another property last year, but Voco really made my trip this year to Korea so enjoyable.
Highly highly recommend due to staff, cleanliness, and the luxurious energy the property gives.
Hyun Han and the rest of the stay during my stay were excellent.

The room is very small we couldn’t even leave our suitcase open for a while because if one of us wants to use the bathroom we have to jump over the suitcase which we did a couple of times while I’m getting our clothes out.
Another thing is the air conditioner. It’s centrally controlled so no matter what we do, low or high it just go back to its own temperature. So the room was too hot or sometimes too cold. We ask if we could change rooms, they said it’s all the same.
The best feature of this hotel is the food including breakfast, lunch and dinner and the staff that works there.

Very modern, nice and clean. Great breakfast with omelette station. Mini bar items are free including beer and small can of coke. Great AC 24/7. I stayed here with my girlfriend but I plan to stay again with my wife. The location is very nice close many nice restaurants of almost every type of food you can think of. Nice crowd watching potential if you are into that. Service in the hotel was great even by Korean standards. If you plan to bike the Han River trail, it is very easy and fast to get to by bike. (Plot twist: My girlfriend is my bike.)

Walking distance to metro, shops and dining options, friendly staff, reasonable sized rooms, and great self laundry facilities. Good breakfast options - mix of Western and Asian cuisine options.

Can hear traffic but didn’t impact our ability to sleep. Would suggest cab from airport as the walk from Sinsa station with a large suitcase isn’t ideal, and isn’t sheltered from any rain

I didn’t like that I waited half an hour for them to check me in. At first they said I didn’t have a reservation. So I showed them my confirmation. It still took them over half an hour to confirm and give the keys to my room. They didn’t acknowledge that I am a travel agent and show
some courtesy because I can send them many future clients.
I asked to change my keys because my roommate misplaced her key, they wanted 10000 KRW
I asked for an extra blanket they wanted KRW13000
They wouldn’t let us drink nor eat anything in the lobby if not ordered from the hotel.
The keys to the room is designated to your floor. We were a party of 12. We had 6 rooms in different floors. We could not go to each others’ rooms because we had no elevator access to other floors. They should have put all of us on the same floor if we cannot access other floors. My girlfriend needed medicine and i could not go down to give it to her. We both had to meet in the lobby. The elevators are messed up. U scan the key u press the floor it opens at a floor then will go up again even if u pressed lobby.
Am very disappointed

This hotel absolutely surpassed my expectations! I booked and stayed for 20 nights and could not be more pleased. The hotel is relatively new. It is beautifully appointed and the staff went above and beyond what I’ve ever experienced. They were warm and hospitable and helpful with all my questions and concerns. My stay included breakfast and the restaurant had an amazing breakfast with everything from a made to order egg station to traditional Korean dishes to amazing fresh pastries and fruits. The location of the hotel is central to walking to the subway and for shopping and dining. The room itself was clean and comfortable with extra perks like the daily restocked complimentary drinks in the mini fridge. Hotel had the convenience of a very clean laundry room for guests and each floor had its own communal kitchen.

I am already looking forward to another vacation in Seoul and would definitely come back to this hotel. I loved it!

Voco is the perfect boutique city hotel. Great location within Gangnam only 5min walk to Sinsa metro station and meters away from Garosu Gil with great boutique shopping, bars & restaurants.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and much more than you’d expect from a smaller hotel.
We stayed in a Queen room as a couple and had enough space. Our room was not towards the main road, so very quiet. Comfy bed and well designed, practical room. After the first day we even gotten used to the heated toilet seat!
Staff (like all Koreans that we met) was super friendly and helpful. If you want a super clean, modern and convenient accommodation for a city stay then Voco is your place.

Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel is quite new, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I wish the room was a bit larger, as it was a bit difficult to manage our luggage, especially since we had one large suitcase.

While some of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, there were a few who seemed to lack a service-oriented mindset, evident in their tone of voice and facial expressions.

Nevertheless, I still recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for accommodation close to the Gangnam area.

Nice hotel, as expected with 4-star standards. Complimentary mini-bar and amenity restocks are great. Cleanliness was good overall though we found some crumbs on the floor. Quiet most of the time but possible to hear guests walking or talking in the corridor occasionally. Location is fantastic for plentiful food and metro/bus transport options (< 5 min walk). Airport limousine is also rather nearby (ask the reception for the timetable). Some difficulty in getting to and from Sinsa station with luggage as sidewalks are not level and there are multiple small crossings.

My stay was pleasant, everyone was helpful and went above & beyond. Loved the location & how easy it was to access public transportation. The staff spoke English & helped with getting me around.

My only weird thing was this cloud of dust that appeared under a single puck light. I didn’t think of it as anything. But my sister who slept on that side developed a terrible cough from it. It never fully was gone even with the air conditioner or window open.

Voco Seoul Gangnam: comfortable bed, clean and very functional room. Free mini bar (coke, sparking water, beers) The hotel is beautifully designed. Good location just opposite Garusogil. If you like a reasonable price /quiet place to stay and closed to upscale shopping and eating places, this is the best option. Staffs are friendly and very helpful.
