Very stylish, fresh and clean. Lots of helpful staff looking for ways to be friendly and helpful. The location is excellent with its close proximity to the train station and the mall/shopping. Best of all, even though it rained alot during our stay, having the covered skywalk connecting to the train station and mall was a life-saver, keeping us out of the wet weather and away from the car/truck traffic during our entire stay and all the way to and from Incheon airport … we basically had everything we needed the whole time we were in Korea “under one roof”!

Pro – comfortable room, Yongsan train station was nearby. Convenience store on the 2nd floor though it was always packed with people so hard to navigate. Great shower and bed was comfortable. Staff at check in were very nice.

Restaurants were way over priced and the bathroom open to the bedroom would be weird if anyone were staying with me. None of the chairs in the room were usable for a comfortable sitting spot.

It is a ‘business hotel’. The room is small but designed ‘efficiently’ so that you would use every corner. I felt the space was a bit awkward but not a big deal. Cafe and breakfast buffet was ‘okay’. Overall, nice stay, but I would try another hotel next time.

As a first time visitor to Seoul I can not say enough about how much every member of the ibis hotel helped make our stay easy and fun. The concierge service was outstanding. From hooking us up with wonderful tours, getting taxi to the door and making sure they knew where we were going, and on the first night there helping us recover a cell phone left on the airport public bus. The quiet competence of all the staff, the good restaurants and room service and very comfortable rooms made the trip to Seoul easy and fun for all.

My biggest problem with this hotel was that it was advertised as a room that sleeps four people. We are family of 4. The picture shown was accurate. It only showed one bed in the room. However, because they also said it would sleep four, I thought that they would make a cot available or maybe the picture wasn’t accurate. When we checked in at the hotel, the lady at the front desk confirmed that it did only have one bed, but for 44,000 Korean won, they could bring one cot in the room. So I grudgingly paid the 44,000 won for the cot.
The room also had some kind of small couch. That’s where my 12-year-old son was going to sleep. When it was time to sleep, I went down to the front desk and asked for some bedding for my son to sleep on the small couch thing. They said they would have to charge me another 20,000 won for bedding for my son. At this point, I started to argue a bit, that they should provide the extra bedding at no charge, because the listing clearly said the room could sleep four people. The lady at the desk said that she couldn’t give me a full set of bedding for free, but she could get me one blanket for free. I agreed to accept that blanket, and we spent the night there.
The room also had some kind of weird shower and bathroom arrangement. When you step out of the shower door, you are immediately in the open hotel room with no privacy. This might be OK for couples, but it was a little weird for a family of four.

Perhaps I just traveled from Japan and had higher expectations from the cleanliness of the hotel esp them getting rid of the hair on the floor and would help fold my clothes if I left my pajama on bed. They just threw it back to my opened luggage or on the chair, which I expected better (at least hang them).
