Final part of our family vacation in South Korea and this was chosen at the stop for final place to shop and fill our luggage.

Extremely close to the metro and airport express train, it made final journey of full suitcases to ICN airport much convenient.

Facilities were very modern and new with probably the best shower option out of our other hotels we stayed at.

Staff and service were very friendly and English skills very strong.

Opted out of breakfast option as it costed extra. A hotel worthy of 5 star review.

Location is excellent. Take AirPort Express and the 2nd to last stop, exit 9, hotel is literally right in front of you. Hotel itself is ok, room is very standard. I have stayed here last year too and front desk is friendly. This time, I got a two single bed room and the shower was so ridiculous. It has a tub and shower head. However the glass is only half way, so when I turned on the shower head sprayed everywhere on the floor. There is no way to avoid it, I end up sitting in the bathtub to wash my hair holding the shower head, then my daughter did the same thing. So at midnight, we were cleaning all the water that sprayed everywhere inside and outside of the bathroom. Other than that, hotel is excellent!

Room was too small if you have 3 large suitcases and 2 small suitcases. You can hear next door talking, wall is quite thin.
The area is very good, convenient getting the metro and the airport line too. You have lots of restaurants around.

Glad Mapo is a great hotel. My room was super comfortable, roomy and quiet. The reception staff were very helpful and communicated with me in English. The hotel is located a few minutes from a large train station that gave me easy access to any area in Seoul. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Seoul.

Glad hotel was perfect. There is a train station just outside the door, a 7/11 in the lobby and restaurant onsite. The restaurant food was amazing! The staff of the hotel were all so nice and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and stocked with all the essentials. The area around the hotel had lots of places to eat and explore.
Not sure about parking, as I didn’t have a vehicle. The train honestly was perfect. In my interacts with the hotel staff, we got by on simple English and smiles. It was great. I highly recommend the glad mapo hotel. I will certainly stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Gongdeok metro station. However, navigating the underground walkways and transferring lines can be time-consuming, and the trains are infrequent, so we often took Uber instead.

Our high-floor room had a partially obstructed view due to a nearby office building, so we kept the curtains closed most of the time. The lobby features a convenience store and a Wowpass machine, making it easy to grab essentials, groceries, or top up the Wowpass card, which we appreciated.

The staff were polite, and the room was mostly clean. However, the lack of air conditioning in autumn and winter required us to open the window for ventilation. The room was also dusty, which caused discomfort and left visible dust on surfaces overnight. The lighting was dim, and the glass bathroom door didn’t close fully, which could be inconvenient for some.

Overall, the hotel offers reasonable room rates, essential facilities, and easy access to nearby convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants. While there are some drawbacks, such as dust and ventilation issues, it’s a decent option for travelers seeking affordability and convenience.

Front desk staff were always available to help us with storing our luggage and provide directions. Property is modern and clean. We chose to not have housekeeping come into our room but they knocked on our door later in the day to see if we needed towels or other items. Excellent amenities in room. We saw from maps that Gongdeok train station was nearby but found that one of the entrances was just outside the hotel entrance and thus made it so convenient to hop on to the train that took us to the airport! The hotel lobby also had a small 7-11 and a kiosk that made it easy for us to convert Japanese yen we had to Korean won. Would definitely come back when/if we were to return to Seoul.

First time staying at this property. Room was definitely clean, but the bathroom could use a bit more cleaning. The bathroom smelled a little, and I don't know who designed the tub/shower area but water gets all over the floor (Don't know why there is no sliding door nor curtain). The tiles near the bathtub were also pretty grimy and was not pleasant to look at considering how clean the other areas of the room was. Don't know if I'd choose to stay here again next time! The Taxi drivers also could not seem to ever drop me off in front of the hotel. The map would always take them somewhere else :/ Hotel definitely does not have a decent drop off area.

Decent hotel in a quiet area

First day check-in process with Ethan at front desk was very friendly and he did his best to help us move rooms seamlessly. I had seperate bookings since my reservations were last minute and the hotel's availability differed each day.

As for the rooms, the first 2 were fine for a business level hotel but on the final night, the bathroom had areas left unclean that was too much for me to overlook so they moved us to a different room which wasn't handled in the best way. Long story short, I had to check out and check back in and due to the situation I was reconsidering moving back to my previous hotel but Daniel H. assured me they would note this and make sure there would be no issues. Sure enough, upon checking back in, the room I'm in has been good. Also, most importantly, he was super friendly and genuinely seemed to want to help which is something I haven't really felt in Korean hospitality overall - I hope employees like him stay as the choice to return or not was pretty much because of his actions. Overall decent hotel in a quiet area though.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in so far in Seoul. So reasonable for a super convenient location, especially if you want an easy travel to both Incheon or Gimpo airports. Location is right above Gongdeok stn which is so convenient to most tourist spots. Rooms are so spacious too, we had enough space for all the luggage and shopping this trip. Hotel is very conveniently located. That is the best thing about it. The room for the first night was freezing (Nov 7th) because the heat was not on because the hotel has centrally controlled heat and air. Was told the room might become too hot, which was a total lie. Room has window that opens so problem to make cooler and one can just turn off the heat. Many guests complained and it was finally turned on on the 8th. The management uses GREEN as an excuse for not having basic amenities in the room. Bed is comfortable. Would not stay at this hotel again.

The staff was friendly, helpful and communication was really good. The hotel has a small gym and they stock it with water and towels. There’s also a 7-11 inside and a currency exchange machine. Restaurants and coffee shops were in a walking distance. I love the fact that train station was right outside the hotel and we were able to travel anywhere in Seoul. Would definitely try to stay here next time I’m in town.

Utilities in the room are old and not up to date.

Most of the power sockets in the room were either not working or I couldn't use. For example, I couldn't use the two sockets (see photo #1) next to bed as my adaptor cannot fit in (see photo #3). The power socket for the water kettle provided by the hotel was not working (see photo #2). There are two 240v sockets on the desk but only one is working (but still my adaptor cannot fit in). Luckily I brought my iphone 14 pro max charger which can fit in. The weird thing is that there is a 240v socket in the bathroom which my adaptor can fit in so it's the second place I can charge my other digital devices.

I will never go bacl to this hotel. The service is aweful. They never apology nor try to help at all. When I asked for the ground entrance, they gave me the parkinh lot entrance where I have use stairs with my baggages and long walk. When I complained at the front. They never apologized. The building is not hotel only so the parking, and elevators are cumbersome. Since the building is relatively new comparing other hotels nearby, i expected newer, however, they are alreafy worn down.
Use all other three hotels nearby. Avoid this hotel.
