Amazing stay! The location is perfect—Exit 10 with a lift brings you right to the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view. What really stood out was the staff: always friendly, helpful, and greeted us with warm smiles every time we walked in or out. They made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Daily free bottled water, fresh towels, a microwave, and a water dispenser were great touches. The cozy café on Level 2 was a nice spot to relax, and the S25 convenience store next door made everything super easy. Only minor thing—the room lighting was a bit dim, and there wasn’t a full-length or makeup mirror. Overall, highly recommend thanks to the wonderful service and comfort!

The hotel is clean and modern and located conveniently at exit 10 of Sookmyung women's university. Rooms are average sized, though the bed is a bit hard. Breakfast is good at a charge of 15K won. Nearby it is within walking distance to eateries like Kyochon Chicken.

Fuss free and cosy hotel for our 7 nights stay. We are a family of three with a teenager and the room was spacious enough for us with room to move around. Like the laundry room rest area where you could do your laundry and also heat up food as they have microwave and water dispenser for hot and cold with ice too.

A few things to note: there is no hand wash basin at toilet cubicle and so you have to wait for other bathroom to be available to wash your hands. We always have sanitizer so not a problem. If you take the bathtub room then need to note there won’t be standing shower and have to climb in and out of bathtub when showering. May not be suitable for elderly.

Overall a wonderful time with the hotel and if the rates is still good, will consider coming back.

I booked the designer Suite A room, suppose to be higher tier of the hotel rooms but Facilities provided in the hotel not full. Tap are not working when we check in. There are no air purifiers provided as the other hotel have. The room beds are broken and have a bad wood smell.
Even though toilets are separate, there is no main door to the toilet, not convenient at all. We can hear the train track sound in the early morning to late at night.

Hotel is in a great and quiet location. A few steps away from Sookmyung Women's University Station made our stay very convenient. There's an Olive Young across the street and plenty of coffee shops too. We'll stay here again soon!

I loved this hotel, the subway entrance is right in front 5 steps away, A convenience store is right next-door. There’s multiple eating options and night bar five minutes away. It is a college area for a women’s university so there’s a lot of young people pretty busy even late into the night. Very safe area. Definitely stay there again. The customer service was amazing. The cleanliness was wonderful. Nothing bad about that place and it’s also pretty spacious for Asia.

It was close to the subway. Theres an elevator at the exit which is only 1min. From the hotel. The hotel was unresponsive about my luggage storage inquiries in the days leading up to my reservation. I tried reaching out trhough hotels
Com and had an agentcall then but they didnt answer. Thankfully it worked out and they were able to store my luggage after check out.

Sookmyung Women's University station on line 4 was right in front of the hotel, providing easy access to Seoul and Myeongdong stations. It was also convenient to have a convenience store next door.

As for cleaning, they changed amenities and towels every day, which was helpful.

I was concerned about the lack of maintenance of the facilities, such as the air conditioning not working and the water leaking from the washbasin.

Interior noise is too much

If you like hearing every word that people in the next room are saying, then you will love this place. Worst sound proofing of any hotel I have ever stayed at.

Front desk staff is not unfriendly, but give a very noncaring vibe.

Room itself is ok but quite a lot of dust in the corners, not so clean awkward fixtures.

Price was ok for the location.

Parking attendant very friendly.

Check-in is efficient.

Good location n hotel is simple n comfortable.

Located just next to exit 10 of subway - women university. There is a lift too for moving luggages. This station just one station away to seoul station n connect to airport line. Other people comments airport transfer also near to this hotel but we didn’t take this bus so cant comment much.
There is no hook in the bathroom so cannot hang clothes n towels... that is the only point that not goid.

2 men receptionists said there is no room for us to check-in and the hotel is fully booked the night before. However, 10 mins after there is a women receptionist look into our passports and check us in one of the room. I don't know why first 2 staffs does not check our booking or passports and said there is no room. We are not quite pleased with this. The room are nice as in the photo. 1 towel is provided instead of two. I am wondering why?

Check in was easy, though I warn you that there is a 10,000 Won/hour early check in fee. Parking was free and very efficient. The room was very clean and the bathtub was amazing! Be sure to bring bath bubbles yourself because there are no beauty stores nearby to purchase any. The room was a little hot and we couldn’t figure out how to work the air conditioner but besides that, it was great. Convenient spot to get on the subway or bus to head to city hall for some ice skating. Nice view of the city too!

The deluxe double room was very spacious, and the location of the hotel was great, just 1 station away from Seoul station. There was also an elevator from the train platform up to the exit where the hotel is located. They also had a bus stop for the airport bus nearby. However, the room was not very soundproofed, I could hear clearly when people walked past my room (despite the double doors), and when the people next door used the toilet. There was also no shower curtain, which meant that every time I showered, the floor got wet. The water kettle was grimy, had remnants of what looked like kimchi soup. Called the front desk to send up a new one but the replacement was equally dirty, so I gave up.

I was wowed by the breathtaking view from the 19th floor of the lounge. Namsan Tower is just ahead and I caught the sunrise at the same time. The lounge also has a massage chair where you can relax with a view. You can also sit on the settee or the comfortable chairs available. I’ll be back.

Reserved a single king bed got a queen and a twin? Bed sheets had makeup or red stains on them. Room was kinda dirty, dirt on the floor and bed sheets were very wrinkled. The worse part was the shower, there was no divider or curtain.... so your water from the shower just splashes on the floor and gets everything on the counter wet. Girlfriend complained about the AC being too loud at night and there was no desk mirror/or mounted mirror to do make up. Won’t be staying here again.

The hotel was in a central location, very easy to get to from the airport/train station, and the staff were very friendly. Oddly for a room designed for three guests, they provided us with one bath towel; every night we had to request an extra be brought up, for a four night stay. Perhaps design got in the way of functionality.

WORSE HOTEL STAY EVER

5 nights stay at this hotel. Reception staffs are not well versed in English only 1 female staff that can answer our queries. Checked in on 02/04/2018 330pm and our room is not ready so got an offer to upgrade Premium Twin Room. Room is rather small. The toilet bowl is with stain and bathtub is not clean with strands of hairs. Basin tap also faulty. The design for the toilet is a failure. Basin is built in at the shower room. Cant even wash my hand after use of toilet if the shower room is occupied with my travel mate. Room make up is not provided for 3 days even after our feedback. Our room at 7th floor are noisy as the train track is nearby. On the day of check out, no hotel staff help us with the loading of our luggage & backpack to the taxi. Not recommending this hotel for staying.

We booked the businessman's twin and it was really small. We had trouble finding space for all four of our bags. There was room for a small night table between the beds. The bathroom was huge to accommodate a deep soaking tub (which probably no one uses) but the consequence was less space in the living area. Nice sink but it covered all but a couple of inches of the vanity providing little space for toiletries.

The price was excellent for a room in a newer hotel in downtown Seoul a ten minute walk away from Seoul Station, plenty of bus stops and a subway station outside the front door. The price was the reason I booked the hotel. Were I visiting for just a day or two I would give this hotel much higher ranking. But we were there for five nights and the cramped space was uncomfortable.

Fine no-frills hotel, but prepare for noise

Very noisy with sound from neighboring rooms and above, as well as the highway and train track noise all night long, even at windows closed. Better bring earplugs. Other than that fine hotel without any frills. Would use it again.

Only improve would be the ventilation in the men's spa. The smoking room leaks into tge entire spa area. Recommend removing indoor smoking room or ventilating it better.

Room was adequate but not well thought out regarding some facilities, e.g. only one small shaving mirror in room, no other mirror. No power point near the mirror. Over look good but not practical.

Noisy location but quietened down later at night.

However, the walls are inadequate. Late night noisy neighbours screaming, banging doors, running around well after 1.00 am. NOISY ROOMS. Needs urgent attention to all aspects of noise.

Could be a comfortable hotel if issues adequately attended to.

I stayed in room 1701.. the floor was not clean properly as my feet gets very dirty after walking around the room unpacking and stowing things from my luggage. I saw few Long strands of hair at the bath tub area which I didn't use. Toilet roll and tissue was not replenished. Luckily it was only 2 nights stay and there were extra amenities for me to change it. The design of the toilet was such a failure that when you take a shower, the water will travel out to other parts of the bathroom. During check out I waited 5 mins at the desk as the reception was busy talking on the phone and did not acknowledge me at all until another guest came up and knock the desk then the receptionist quickly put down the phone and told them I was first in line. It's my second time staying with Hotel The Designers and its always the front desk staffs which are bringing great disappointment
