Fantastic view, comfortable \"warm\" wood paneled rooms, swimming pool free to use by all hotel guests. Also, last couple of times I stayed I was able to get a free early check in after my long red eye flight (huge relief to relax in a room after a long flight), so definitely will be staying in the future. Prices can vary though with some days being a very good deal and more pricey the others.

I was not allowed access to the hotel bar. Apparently, it was too crowded with outside guests. I expressed my disappointment. As a paying guest of the hotel ( over $500 a night!) I should have been allowed to access the bar to have a drink. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing trip to Seoul. It was not a good experience.

The lobby is super busy everytime. I went to The Shilla before going to Grand Hyatt and except the river view, everything is much better in The Shylla from the breakfast to the spacious room as compared to Hyatt. I used to go to Hyatt when i first came to Korea in 1995 but it is getting old

The rooms were really small. The website is a bit deceiving. Also, we wanted to eat breakfast 30 minutes before the ending of the breakfast time, and when we went to the restaurant, we were practically kicked out because of the time it was. How did know how long I would take to eat breakfast. I think it was because I did not have a pre-paid meal plan. Our party felt really mistreated. However, the staff in the lobby and the bar/restaurant were amazing all the time.

Must visit hotel in Seoul

I personally think this hotel is one of the most charming hotels in Seoul. The location is ideal, the view is amazing (calming), the facilities are very well maintained, and the overall sense of professionalism and service is top notch. However, I gave it a “Good” rating instead of “Excellent” because the food and drinks are quite pricey but I don’t necessarily think the flavors are on par with the price.

From the moment I stepped in, I felt so welcome!
A big shoutout to Anica at the front desk—she was super sweet and let me check into my room 1.5 hours early (thank you, lifesaver!
When I got to my room I literally gasped—the Seoul Tower was right there in the window like a postcard come to life! It felt like the city was saying hello.
The whole hotel has this cozy luxury vibe, with everything you need to relax and enjoy your trip. From the lovely views to the peaceful location, it’s the perfect blend of city energy and calm retreat.
Would 100% stay here again. Thank you, Grand Hyatt Seoul!

All and all not worth it for the price. Rooms are small and somewhat outdated, our shower head kept falling while taking a shower… and you can hear EVERYTHING that’s going on in the hallways from inside the room. Lobby and ballroom were nice.

The hotel has all the qualities of a great 5 star. Grand Hyatt Seoul is one of the nicer and luxurious one compared to other Grand Hyatts in the world. Super classy hotel with great services to match. I love their ice skating rink, and managed to squeeze time to enjoy their pool too during my short stay.

Grand Hyatt Seoul: 3 perfect words for this place

Booking 5 months in advance, and arriving late in the evening to check in, I was disappointed to hear that our corner king room was the last one left and that it would be a handicap accessible room. I asked for a different room and after some searching we were upgraded to an executive king suite which was not only amazing but a pleasant surprise for our 5 night stay. Highly recommend this hotel with its professional staff, excellent service, and breath-taking views.

The property is located across from Namsan Park, which is very beautiful, and just a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Itaewon, which has a youthful and vibrant atmosphere. Staff were very attentive, especially Benjamin who helped us arrange travel to the airport on our day of departure. We had a great experience.

Our experience at this hotel was mixed. We arrived at the hotel at 6am very tired due to a flight, unfortunately, the front desk staff, especially Riley, had a very poor attitude, no service mind, and a dismissive attitude. She refused all our requests, and another female front desk staff also misrepresented our statement to the manager, lying that we said the extra night fee was too expensive for an early check-in. This miscommunication and lack of courtesy made us very unhappy and resulted in us staying in the hotel to recover instead of enjoying our time outside.

On a positive note, our dining experience at the hotel buffet restaurant on all three days was excellent. The staff there, especially Tommy Lee, provided exceptional service and took great care of us. His attentiveness and professionalism greatly improved our overall impression of the hotel.

Just PERFECT! What a hotel... gosh! Luxury, comfort, amazing restaurants, pools, etc. Even a kids club! I would repeat!

Just take into account that you will most probably need taxi to get around from that location, as it is on the top of a hill. It is part of the beauty though.

Elevator situation is awful

Had stayed at this hotel many times pre-pandemic but this was my first time back since Covid. It’s not the gem it was. Overall, the hotel is still very nice but an issue absolutely devastating to the experience is the overcrowded elevators. There simply aren’t enough and I ended up spending a great deal of my trip waiting on the elevators. This culminated in a horrific 20 minute journey trying to get down to the lobby to check out. I waited 10 minutes (as 3 elevators stopped on my floor that were completely full) before deciding to take an elevator up and then come back down. That elevator stopped on every floor down even though it was full. When I finally made it to the front desk I explained the situation and suggested they should manually override the elevators during busy periods to somewhat ameliorate the situation. The front desk associate didn’t seem to care and just nodded (in that I’m not really listening way). The breakfast buffet can also have long wait times. Bottom line is that this hotel is too crowded for its existing infrastructure and the staff no longer seem to care about guests. Sad to see what was such a nice hotel turn to junk post-Covid. Don’t stay here if you value your time.

Lovely stay at the Hyatt, in a very picturesque location, however be warned if you want to walk to the closest metro station it is about 15 mins sloped.
Great services, beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. A shame there is an extra fee to use the sauna. Both pool were fantastic, including a very modern gym.
Bus stop just outside the hotel is very convenient, with the airport limousine coach dropping me right at the hotel doorstep from Icheon Airport.

As always, this property was excellent. We took full advantage of all that this property offers including the pool, multiple restaurants, spa, health club, and concierge services. Other than one minor mishap at the lobby lounge during a busy time when we needed a quick bite, the service was exceptional. In particular, special recognition needs to go to the Concierge staff. We sought their help for many things including the DMZ tour, dinner reservations, shopping recommendations, and even a pharmacist. They were exceptionally good and friendly in their assistance. Special thanks to Crystal Lee and Ben for all of their expertise and help throughout our stay. Great overall experience!!!

A very nice property with comfortable rooms. It’s on the expensive side and at the price I would expect to want or need anything. That said you need to reserve a seat by the pool, then there are certain mid day hours where you must leave so they can do maintenance which I suggest in doing in off hours. Yo get into the lounge on a weekend night, be prepared to wait in line.
For the price I feel you can do better.
