Housekeeper was awesome.
The place was very spacious and clean.
I loved how accommodating they were. Anytime we called front desk for help or for towels/Toilet paper, they came up immediately.

Overall, great place and service. FYI - If you’re coming from the Chungmurro train and using gps on your phone, if it takes you up a red brick road, do not keep walking. This path is very slopes and hard to walk up with luggage. There is a much easier way to get to hotel, keep walking on the main road (pass the red brick road) and to your left there will be a police station - take a left there and keep walking and you will see the hotel after a few mins to your left.

The staff was amazing. The room was spacious, the shared kitchen was helpful. There’s a kitchen sink in the room which was nice. There is room for improvement in the washroom area however. The tub placing is such that it’s hard to avoid getting the floor wet when you shower, and there’s black spots on the walls and tub that are questionable.

Our room was swichedfrom two bdrm two bathroom to one bathrm. The two single beds innone room was so squished we had no place to leave our suitcases no closet no space they went into living room, Glad we had one. There were bugs and mosquitos everywhere yet the windows didnt open. We stayed one noght and left instead of stayong the 5 nights. Dont recommened this place until its debugged and they are truthful about reservations.

I really like the front desk, they were so helpful and professional. I wish I could give this hotel all 5 stars, but bumper to the room condition. It is very old and moldy, it smells so bad in the room and bathroom has lots of mold. I understand Korea is very humid, but please upgrade your room, perharps have air purifier / install better ventilation in the bathroom.
I really enjoyed the location (safe, quite, convenience...etc)

I'm really happy with our stay here. The room is clean and well equipped for people who want to stay for long. Aside from the basics, it has a full kitchen with glass stove, pot and pans, tableware for two and dishsoap, kettle, microwave, full size fridge and freezer, dining table with four chairs, air purifier. It has washer and drying rack. The place is quiet and secure. It's almost next door to Namsangol Nanok Village and short bus ride to N Seoul Tower. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They even came help with tv menu past mid-night. The daily cleaning service is great. The hotel's large backdoor three levels below the front door is an easy access to the main street and public transit. It's saves us from having to hike up the mountain. I only wish that the card access for this door is all day instead of only after 23:30.

This hotel was walking distance to train station, airport limo stop, myeong dong area. Cleaning staff were very nice, didn't really have much to do with front staff as we took the exit on level 1 past the restaurant which avoided the front hill.
Room was well sized and had a full size fridge and washing machine which was useful since I stayed a week.
As the room didn't have aircon, we had the fan running whenever in the room. Communal kitchen was good with water filter and bins to separate the rubbish as opposed to having it in the room.

Great value for money! Hotel needs a little renovation. Water flowing out of the bathing area even with shower curtain and also shower door. Stayed in their 2 bedroom suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Suited for families. Room not cramped. And going to Myeongsong area is easy, go the the 1st floor for easier access. Not really an uphill climb as others described it if you passed the correct path. I was just disappointed that they have aircon but they did not provide the remote control. I asked in my email before my stay if they have air-conditioned unit in the room, and they said yes, my mistake for not asking if I can use it. Well to compensate, they provided an electric fan instead which we used during our stay as it was getting hot. Would still recommend this hotel if you want a cheaper one but still near the shopping area. 10 minute walk to Myeongdong depending on the timing of the traffic light!

The room was amazing - very spacious. Best room we've had in Korea.

The bathroom was small and cramped and a little dated - could be improved.

The sound proofing was poor - we could hear the people next to us, in the corridor and above us. We could also hear everyone the street (we were one level above the lobby). There were noisy people on the street past midnight. The poor sound proofing made it hard to sleep.

Good stay for one night. Clean modern hotel. I think the bathrooms need minor renovations but still good from what I’d expect from an urban professional hotel. Quiet and dimmed windows were nice as well. Room service was available into the night but didn’t use them. Nice alleyway to get to the rest of the Main Street where restaurants and shops are.

Staff are friendly and we can easily communicate with the.team in English.
The space is large, staying in 2 bedroom deluxe room. The living room and main bedroom are large. The second room was extremely small with 2 single beds and 1 bedside table in the centre separating the beds - the door cannot be fully opened and no where to put clothes (no where to hang or shelves), suitcases and clothes were put outside the room. The main bedroom is spacious but also needs shelves.
Fortunately the road besides our main room and living space was not noisy in the morning
Appreciate the washing machine (500KRW for 1x laundry pod from reception) and large clothes horse. The sofa was not soft and inviting and the back cushions easily slip and fall around.
The bathroom and kitchen is definitely dated and you can see patch works on cabinetry and tub.
Quick several minutes walk to Myeongdong shops. The back street to hotel has a police station on the main road and is the direction to Myeongdong and shops, as the front/reception is not easily accessible by foot. Taxi/uber drivers gets slightly confused with the GPS to front of hotel as it is complicated, but they always manage to do U turns and drive is to the front.

We only stayed a night. The beds were clean and sheets were obviously clean. I am a germophobe though so I am used to taking a disinfectant wipe through all touch surfaces and I picked up a lot of dirt on touch surfaces.

The bathroom seemed clean though. It is very deteriorated and needs updating.

The kitchenette also needs some more detailed cleaning (we did not use it-it was only 1 night)

The staff was extensive kind and helpful. The area has many restaurants and is within a 10 minute walk to the Main Street full of shopping and foodie galore. It is a strenuous walk, going up a hill and down and it must be done since there is a very dangerous highway that can’t be outrun.

I’m glad it was only 1 night. I would probably compare this hotel to a US days inn? But the staff was AMAZINGLY kind.

The room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, on the first night the air conditioning wasn’t working so the staff was kind enough to provide oscillating fans. This issue was resolved the following day. The living areas were open and made it feel like a home. The restrooms did appear a little outdated though. Location was great for our visit. It was easy and walkable to the majority of places we needed. If you are taking a bus to the hotel, I recommend contacting the hotel for the the best route to get to them. We used the various map apps and they made us go up a very big hill with heavy luggage which wasn’t ideal. The front desk told me how to use another easier entrance. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Wonderful Stay At Oriens

We stayed at Oriens 2 bedroom Suite for 8 nights and it was great! The room was big equiped with kitchenette, washer & dryer function. We do hope that they will improve by having 2 bathroom instead of 1 for the 2 bedroom suite.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. They assisted us to book hotel transfers and even hailed us a cab when we requested. Hotel is conveniently at Chungmu-ro station and walkin distance to Myeongdong. :) very convenient.

Cheap but that is what we would get

I stayed for 4 nights with my daughter and a friend of mine.

When I got the room card and went upstairs, the room smelled musty. When I touched the duvet, I thought it was dry, but when I sat on the bed, it was a little damp, like my pants were wet.

I tried to change room, but there were one other rooms left, and to change to the one remaining room would cost me another 400,000 won, so I decided to stay.

First of all, the duvet is old, a little bit tattered, and it's very heavy when you put it on. When I tried to open the window to ventilate the room, there was a long hole in the side of the mosquito net, so I couldn't open it. The next day, the hotel taped it up with clear tape.

There's a washing machine, but you have to buy detergent for it, and being from a foreign country, I didn't know what kind of detergent to use.

It was nice that they provided a bottled water every day.

I had a hard time getting to the hotel by taxi because the drivers didn't know where the hotel was.

The hotel is on the side of a mountain, so the lobby is on the fourth floor, and the back door is closer to the Chungmuro station, so we went down to the first floor and used the back door a lot. The back door is very dark at night. There are two stairs with quite a long gap between them, and it's hard to see at night.

My friend went to the hospital because the rail at the end of the stairs came off and she fell. Her right ligament was torn. Luckly bones were ok.

The room had a small kitchen area (which we had forgotten about since we booked several months prior) with a laundry machine, which is very convenient! The room was really nice, the air conditioning was on point - we didn't manage it, I think it was automatic. Not too cold, not too warm.
Everything was great overall.

I also want to add points for great service ! The hotel team is really nice and friendly. I lost my bank card after one day in Seoul and they directly contacted the last shop I went to. My card has been found after I left for Busan and the staff contacted me directly, and kept it safe for me. 🥹 Thank you so so much ❤️

We had three beds and two rooms with a kitchen and laundry. The laundry is small and takes a while. Not sure if this is normal for Korea.
The bathroom is small but doable. But you can tell it needs to be remodeled.
When you leave, you do have to walk a bit to the subway station and make sure you know there is a basement level that is an entry way. We walked uphill to the lobby and it’s actually on the 4th floor! It takes about 15 mins to walk to Myeongdong market.

Great things are: The front desk staff is very nice and speak English. The front desk arranged a taxi and shuttle when we needed it. Our deluxe suite 2 bedroom was very quiet, equipped with kitchen and washer/dryer. The TV was pretty good and surprisingly the Netflix worked. The housekeeper cleaned the room daily. 4 free bottles of water daily. The hotel is very close to Chungmuro subway station so one can travel from there. Close by, there is a GS25 and Emart. Walking distance to the Namsan cable car and Myungdong district. Seoul station and Lotte Mart are not far by subway.

Minor quibbles: the washer/dryer took 5 hours to wash/dry the clothes. Due to use of air conditioner and washer/dryer, the circuit breaker would go off, and then the front desk staff showed us how to switch it back on, and we had to flip the switch several times. But it always switched back on. There is no restaurant or buffet in this hotel, which is not what their website says. But this wasn’t a big deal for us.

There is a Emart24 nearby which you can get your necessities conveniently.

Our stay here was just average. The location was convenient to transport and local activities. However the quality of the room and amenities was lacking. There is no sunlight as the windows were overlooking an enclosed alley nor was there any air flow other than the one fan in the kitchen. Bathroom was extremely tiny and flooded when the tub drain was released. This needs a major upgrade. Even asking staff for one additional towel to clean the wet floor resulted in two calls and a lengthy explanation.

Everything about staying here was perfect, we did not eat in the restaurant at all so can't review that. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The 2 bedroomed apartment was better than expected, had everything we needed, it all worked perfectly, cleaners were great, beds comfortable, good shower and plenty of space. I will reccomend this place to anyone staying in Seoul. Smaller bedroom had no window and was very warm even with the air-conditioning.

The only downside is the walking to shopping area and public transport. But the price was good as a result, so I can't complain!

Cons: I stayed on the 3rd floor and accessed the 1st floor to enter/exit the hotel and oh boy those floors have that “old building” stinky smell that you would want to puke. There were hairs on the bathroom floor in my room. The female staffs at the front desk did not smile when greeting customer and when I dropped off my luggage early because I had an red eye flight, the look on their faces was displeased. However the gentleman who helped me brought my luggages to my room was cheerful and helpful.

Hotel location was very close to subway station Line 3 and 4, only about 4 minutes walk.(if you take airport railway to Seoul station, transfer to Line 4 and get off on Chungmuro station, which is the 3rd station from Seoul station.,) Also you can walk to Myeongdong, it's about 10 to 15 minutes walk. The room is clean and spacious, cleaning lady clean the room every day with a friendly smile. I will stay here again on my next visit.

This is our second time staying here and let me tell you every time we visit we will stay here.

Yes, is it a bit outdated? Definitely, but the goods outweigh this single problem.

This place is located in between the Myeongdong station and the chungmoro station which you can access through their two exit and entrances.

We loved using the chungmoro station as it takes us everywhere and is a literal 5 minute walk. It’s located across from our favorite hanbok place “Mimi Hanbok” and is a minute away from the bukchon village which has the best peach tea in Seoul.

We also love how convenient it was from Myeongdong which we ended up in every night.

The view of Namsan Tower from the rooms especially as you get on the higher floors is pleasant. This makes for those morning pictures a breeze and a good view.

Now onto the room itself. The pillows and blankets are like clouds! Such a good feeling after an entire day out! Also the layout for a room that we get with two bedrooms and a kitchen area with living room is a dream and honestly the space is perfect for fitting all the luggage’s we bring. The bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade but again that’s a minor detail I overlook for all the great.

The shampoo is the best that and the water make my hair feel so soft. Call me crazy but it’s true.

Lastly the people who work here are so nice, helpful, and accommodating. The cleaning personnel is the best. So sweet and we never have to worry about anything!

Great size,functional, but could be cleaned better

We booked 80m2 (2 rooms combined) flat for 4 nights.
Pros:
- great service, very friendly staff, always helpful
- close to Subway, bus and taxi stops
- unit we booked was perfect for 3-4 pax family
Cons:
- We had to wash cutleries and kitchen equipment again since they were not cleaned properly before our stay
- cupboards, shelves were dirty and had oil stains from previous guests
- hotel slippers were not new, they were used before
- room has a window facing hotel corridor and it doesn't have a proper curtain and the corridor light goes straight in the room at night

All in all it was a great fit for our family and good value for money. We would stay in this hotel again but would be nice to see some improvement at cleanliness.

Spacious apartment close to Myeongdong

The location is a 5 minute walk from the start of Myeongdong strip, so away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for a quite nice sleep. The room was specious, clean and had all the facilities to cook your own meals, with washing machines to do laundry.

Getting to the hotel was easy enough, 5-7 minute walk from Chungmu-Ro station with a slight uphill walk close to the hotel, which can be difficult of your a traveller with lots of luggage.

Staff were friendly and helpful, which made the whole stay nice. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Seoul.

Excellent service from excellent staff.

My son was get hurt on the first day of our trip, the staff in the front desk provide excellent support. The staff assist is to call the hospital and write down messages on a post-it in Korean, so that we can easily communicate with the hospital staff. Especially thanks to Ms Park and she speak excellent Mandarin.
We will select this hotel for sure on our next visit to Seoul.

Check in was easy and they are very kind and helpful. The rooms were big and comfortable and had everything we needed. The metro is near there and also you can get the airport bus and it stops in the main street. Its close to myendong, like a 10 min walk. It was a wonderful hotel and location to stay in.

However, the lightings along the corridors can be further improved, as its a bit too dim especially at night. There is also no cooker/stove in our room, despite showing it in your website prior to our booking. But overall, a pleasant experience during our stay there.

Loved the STAFF, they were always kind and full of energy to help us in any situation. The location of the Hotel was wonderful, walking distance from Namsan Tower and beautiful walking trail to Traditional Villages. Easy access to Subway and local eatery and grocery stores.
